HETIC WEEK

TUESDAY - Last night was first night finishing at two in the morning woke up just after eight a., head banging from lack of sleep usually it does not bother me , this morning it did hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Bailey our West Highland terrier is so disobedient he does not come to us when he is out in the garden Helen was trying to get him in for over an hour last night and he was just running around the van and ignoring her , she was quite upset . He is still only a puppy and still as puppy tendencies hopefully he will improve .

Download the latest Apple OS Mojave all seems ok liking the News button that appeared on the task bar and the new dark mode and the gallery view in Finder there is more I need to discover what else is new .

Took Helen to Dewsbury for a MRI scan results in a fortnight , got fish and chips for dinner from our favourite little fish restaurant diner at Durkar .

The switch over to fibre seems to have been a good choice so far its been really good noticed a big improvement when using the Fire tv stick to watch tv .

The working till two has been ok ,  the week as gone really fast  but has been hectic  and I am getting a lot less sleep I am getting to bed well after half past two in the morning yet still getting up just after eight roll on the week end .

Downloaded samples from two books from Amazon "Shoe Dog" by the CEO of Nike Phil Knight and "Small Fry" by Lisa Brennan Jobs , Steve Jobs daughter .both seem good reads .

FRIDAY - Going to Meadow Hall I might get a peanut milkshake from Five Guys yum yum .

Bought a tech organizer of Ebay only when I paid for it did I realize it was being delivered from China oh well roll on November see if it turns up .
Also ordered a leather note book from Liverpool hopefully it will arrive before the package from China .

Cant believe how good the weather is ,  last few days it has been really sunny and warm  there as been a breeze blowing but to say Monday we are in October it is exceptionally good.

Helen made over £130 on eBay selling her white stuff clothes that no longer fit her or that she no longer wears she has also a few readings booked in .
Went over to her parents static home at Acaster Malbis we was late setting off  as we stayed over  for tea it was late in the evening before we got home .

SUNDAY - Lazy day did nothing went food shopping for bits and pieces we had steak and onion rings for tea with three cheese spread well nice steak cooked perfect had a jacket potatoes and stuffed mushroom .

ITS LIVE

As from next Monday I should be working six at night till two in the morning for the next nine months , all paid at night rate which is good news for booking another holiday .
The weather the last few days have been sunny but with a breeze making it feel cold.

We are now looking at Greece Kefilonia for a two week break instead of going to Turkey although I think the country is safe enough to travel to regardless of past incidents .

We switched over to fibre broadband it was 10mb/s the  download speeds for tonight it was 25 mb/s a big difference hopefully our b/b issues are resolved once and for all now it as gone live .

I am working tonight six two instead of starting Monday a few extra hours all helps fund 2019 holiday need money .

PHONE SCAM

Did a two in the afternoon until half two the following morning which was unexpected today I am doing a six at night till six in the morning I  need to save money so we can holiday in 2019 the more cash the longer we can go away .
The weather here is very windy with heavy torrential downpours  totally depressing and the trees are dropping leaves on to the road making driving a little bit scary  , also the wind on the motorways is shifting  the car about we are currently are getting the tail end of hurricane Bronagh once this passes hopefully we will continue with our Indian summer .

The all nighter went ok it did drag but I did go cross site at St ,James's hospital they did not have any cover after midnight so I had to go to cover which made the night not as bad .

We have a possible two holiday destinations in mind  either Pefkos on the island of Rhodes in Greece  or Protaros in Cyprus if we go to the latter  we have to fly out of Manchester as they are no flights out of Leeds .

SATURDAY - Had a lazy day we ended up having fish and chips in the car we took knifes and forks bread and butter and tomato sauce bliss .

SUNDAY - Had a text  today from Mobiplanet thanking for subscribing to their download store and that they will be charging me £4.50 a every two weeks through my phone provider  , of course I have not subscribed to this company I called my network O2 they think that  I will have already occurred charges  really I said , which will be on my next phone bill ,  no way I told them that any added charges I have not authorised and  I will cancel my contract if they cant police the network  then I won't be paying for any scams they cant control , this company is not new and O2 know about them then why are they getting away with this , I have already cancelled the direct debits for me and my partners phone .

Best thing is when we originally got the phones through Car Phone Warehouse they put both of the contracts for two phones in my partners name so technically I am not liable for the bills she is .

Went looking for new suitcases saw a nice back pack I might buy when I get paid this coming week
Liam Helen son called round we all had Sunday dinner together he is also getting another tattoo on his arm

TURKEY

Got my Howard Schultz book Onward it was waiting for me on my return from our holiday so far I have not picked it up I will start reading it this week .
Passport organizer came , being optimistic I know but you got to believe it will happen or it definitely  won't.
I have also been looking at a case for my tech and leads so they are all together and a bit more organized than just throwing them into a plastic zip bag .

Well in one months time or there about I should be starting a seven to eight month stint of working six in the even till two in the morning will need a holiday after that .
Going back to work was hard my heart and soul was not in it the only good thing was I got a parking space which was a blessing did not really want to go out to move my car .

We have been looking at holidays in Turkey in the resort of Antalya only issue is it is very close to Syria , Istanbul is the other side of the country , one good thing is that the all inclusive hotels are far cheaper here  than in a lot of European countries also the Turkish cost of living is very cheap .
We are looking at the Rome beach resort .

FINGERS CROSSED

The broadband is shite once again , I phoned up our service provider which is  good old BT they say the same every time they are sorting it out  , but  we have wait 48hrs so the can check our speeds  why do I have to wait this long when  technology should be instant and it should not take 48hours to sort out .

I am tempted to go to fibre its priced ok for the first 18 months before it  more or less doubles in price , I  will phone them up and make the switch which I did the new connection date is 27th of September they might also send out a new router the new price is only £2.50 more per month than what I am paying now.

The weather at the moment is wet grey and cold typical English weather and it is also back to work Monday cant wait ,  mean I cant wait for pay day so we can go book a holiday for next year , then working will have a purpose might even go for two weeks if not ten days but they way I feel now a another week would be more than  fine.

SUNDAY - Was supposed to go over to Skegness to meet up with my daughter , but we was up late and the weather did not look great so we decided to stay put.
We did go to crown point in Leeds and went to M&S food bought some more pasta dishes and a chicken for dinner .
Helen's son Liam called round he did not stay for dinner he is getting over a split from is long time girlfriend Nicola if I was him I would go on Holiday a break is as good as a rest .
Down loaded the Tui app on my phone will be checking out holidays hopefully fingers crossed it is not just a dream and we can book for next year.

LESSONS LEARNED

We had a great time away travel does broaden the mind and the horizons without a doubt , so need to make sure that we some how by hook or crook that we go on holiday next year .

I cant do anything till this months pay day but we need to make a booking and going out of season saves around £350 - £400 per person so we have to look at our options and make sure some how that we do it and get a hotel booked for 2019 , we have regretted the years that we have not traveled abroad so we have learned and aim to make amends starting now .

Being home is good we are unpacked and all the clothes are washed the passports put away we still have some sun tan lotion and after sun lotion left  hopefully for next year  .

A few lessons learned should have took a usb plug socket for charging the phones , Helen should have took extra tablets she took enough for only for seven days when she need eight days .
Need a lighter back back as well as the Super dry rucksack I bought .Extra sun tan lotion just in case we stayed in the sun longer . Passport boarding pass wallet a tech bag or wrap .shaving oil in stead of a pressurized canister .decent wash bag . Lockable luggage strap the snap on ones came off although we did get them back .We should have bought sun bathing mats to go on top of the sun loungers lying on your front was not that comfortable also one of those neck cushions which you also can put in a bag and use as a regular cushion .Should also have to a mini cube speaker .

We are going to the coast this Sunday and of course I am back at work Monday after two weeks of is not going to be easy.

HOME

Every night we would leave one of the door swipe keys in the light socket on the wall near to the for as you walked in with out inserting it no electric then we would leave the air con on and go out coming home the room was super cool  we would leave the curtains open and I would always wake up early , we also had a big set of glass doors leading out to the veranda and we sleep with the curtains pulled all the way back  we was on the third floor and no one could see in , the first view on morning made you want to get up , I use to put the towels on the sun beds for the four of us my sister Anne did the first few mornings then I took over .

I would lay the towels out then go for a stroll to the marina trying to take some worth well photos the only camera used was on my Samsung s8 which to be honest did a great job , what follows are a few photos from these walks which I like the most .

Guessing some of these yachts must cost hundreds of thousands to buy apparently the bigger yachts are in Ibiza town were they also cost a lot more cash I would love one who wouldn't.

The flight home went pretty good check in was not that long boarding went some and take off also fine , really sad to be leaving such a beautiful island I never really scratched the surface .Will miss so much I already want to travel somewhere else , next time I get any serious money it will go on travelling , big thanks to Alan my sisters husband and to Anne my sister and my daughter Tuesday who all made this possible .

Such a simple idea paint a tree white don't think it will work in the U.K guess you need blue skies golden sand and turquoise seas and magnificent sunrises and sunsets .

HIPPY CHICK

We landed safely at Ibiza airport as always after getting off and air conditioned plane the heat hit you when the doors opened . Leaving England we had jeans on it was 6.00 am when we flew it was not that warm .
Our  Hotel room had a balcony and  a sea view , with two big beds with white sheets which  put together to form a giant size bed another plus memory foam mattresses  and another big plus  air conditioning unit that worked to keep the room cool .
The bathroom with bidet bath and shower toilet with soap and lotions that was replenished every day.

The clouds came and went it was still hot with out being uncomfortable on the sun loungers the heat felt intense and it was easy to sweat even with a sea breeze you felt the warmth , the pool was a blessing . and quite empty most of the day some times we had the pool to ourselves and the Jacuzzis .

The first night we went by taxi to the Hippy market a few miles away loads of stalls selling hand made bags and clothes bracelets and art it was a great first night . Load son talented people the leather bags cost  mega bucks upwards of £200 .

UPDATE LATER .

Had a shower just after midnight and a extra large strong coffee not sure when we will get to bed over the last few days I have lost sleep it will catch up with me doubt I will sleep on the plane We will drive to my sisters house and get there for three A.M , we need to get to Leeds and Bradford airport to check in at four , our flight is  at six then to Ibiza for eight thirty. if this blog ends with this post , I am either doing life in a Spanish jail I have been kidnapped  or abducted by aliens either way its been a blast.
Of course none of the above happened we flew out to Ibiza as planned we did not go to bed and made are flight on time and landed in Ibiza we got to the hotel safely will do a update later  , we had a great time and took lots of photos .

All packed hand luggage is done my suitcase is 8 kg under weight which is good if I buy anything should still be well under Helen is only taking a small hand bag as hand luggage weight allowance is 5 kg.

TUESDAY
Helen had her nails done this morning and got them painted white , not sure why white but she is happy . Bought four small padlocks for the two suitcases I know they are only a deterrent got stronger padlocks and the zip fasteners will break at the end of the day a utility blade would open it up like a tin of beans any way .

ONWARD

Two baked jacket potatoes  with salt and butter , a tub of chicken tikka sandwich spread with real chicken pieces and another tub of three cheese spread all  from Asda plus a packet of cooked tandoori chicken breast you can guess the rest gorgeous , filling , tasty and reasonably cheap .

On the flip side off that I also bought some Waygu steak and fillet steak from Asda for  £8.95 it is not the proper Japanese meat but none the less was ok had it with stuffed mushrooms fries and onions .

Went to the chiropodist today in Kirkburton I booked it the start of this week , my  sat nav took me totally in the wrong direction thanks google maps eventually got there ten minutes late .Have to admit my feet feel a lot better after the  routine if hard skin removal and nails cutting have booked in for another session in eight weeks time .

YOUR BED , YOU LIE IN IT .

I have been asked at work by the managers  if I would be willing to  do the six two shift that's six at night until two in the morning for a whole six or seven months starting middle of October  , what's to refuse of course I said yes .

Well went back to the garden centre yet again think the car could drive itself have been that many times over the last few weeks .We went   for another two conifers and another six bags of stone for the garden after adding these six bags all of the soil will be covered with a layer of stone chippings that are different shades of colours that also change shade when it rains .must have spent the past part of £175 on stone chippings.

Also bought another 50 litre bag of compost which I think adds up to in the region of 16 x 50 litre bags.
Both of the  dogs got identical new beds extra comfy extra warm can bet they will be arguments between them both  they also got a big double mattress which just fits under a unit in the bedroom.
Me I got two Yorkshire  pasties one for dinner which I had with chips and gravy and  the other to take to work which I had with brown sauce and a peanut chunky Kit Kat.

Filled the car up to the max until it was to the brim of the tank  they was enough fuel to do another 80 miles I put £44.05 of unleaded in the tank which maxed it out . The petrol gauge show enough for 420 miles but that wont drop until I have done at least maybe fifty miles.

THURSDAY - Bought another two cichlid  fish for the tank got a pair they are nice electric blue and yellow but once settled will be more pastel coloured they have settled in and seem to be fitting right in which is always good .

Work is a pain atm I cant stand managers what flap when there is no need or line managers who when are told they will have to wait for jobs doing , because there is no one to do them because they have cocked up the shift rotas  and they don't have enough staff in because they have granted too much leave to people , who then expect us to sort out their shit I don't think it will happen , so  sorry your bed you lie in it .

SATURDAY - No carving knife in the post never mind went to my sisters house and we went to the travel agents to show our passports and travel insurance documents I changed £350 sterling in to Euros will change more next week , My sister change some money and then totally out of the blue handed us £200 of Euros making our spends as it stands to £550 of Euros totally unbelievably nice gesture .

CRAVING

Have been watching a really good wood carver on You Tube his channel is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fdom15Mbfrg he makes it look so easy I have ordered a scalpel handle and some blades to keep the cost down and also they will be surgical sharp and  they say it is only blunt tools that cut you lets hope that quote is correct . I also bought a Narex wood carving knife all I need now is wood and plasters .

Booked Bailey in Bretton Park Kennels £16 a day he is booked in for ten days take him in on a Sunday afternoon at two o clock we visited the Kennels today and paid a £25 deposit the remainder is paid when we pick him back up on our return .

WAY OFF

Went to see Jason Statham in "The Meg " which was OK , he sure won't win any Oscar's and it is not his best staring role , it was different not seeing him taking on ten guys and kicking arse.

Bought some more plants for the garden and another bag of peat still need more gravel for the boarders will have to wait .
Baby sat Jenson for my daughter watched "Finding Nemo' , Toy Story 3 and Tangled after he went to bed I watched "Forest Gump " think I enjoyed it more watching it again then watching it the first time round .

SUNDAY -Went to Copmanthorpe to the Royal Oak for Sunday lunch had roast beef dinner and for desert had the apricot brad and butter pudding with pouring cream it was excellent .

Bidding on a Super Dry rucksack I am the highest bid one and a half hours to go I could easily put in a highest bid I am at £11.50 it is not brand new how high do I go .

Saw some new build static homes where Helen's parents live  , they are ultra nice and they are more like a decent bungalow  no expense speared looking inside they have a nice kitchen and furnishings. I guess would need a fair wad of cash to make the move guessing £220k ,  even if we got £75 k for ours at a push , we still be way off the mark .

Bailey's bucket on his head came off yesterday tomorrow he is back at the vets for a post op check up he seems fine .

ALL STONED

Three days then back at work had a text asking if I would work next week doing 6-2 of course I said yes did not want to go back doing 2-10 got use to hassle free parking and no managers about plus I get to spend more time at home .
The weather has been cooler the last couple of days and we have had a little rain it is also colder on a night could summer be coming to a end  hopefully the rumours that we will be having an Indian summer this year are true , fingers crossed.

My case for my S8 came yesterday if I bought it in one of the shopping Malls at the little carts outside would have cost me at least a tenner from Ebay only £2.95 .

Helen bought three wrought iron planters for the bay windows of our van , I fixed them using metal washers and 50mm coach bolts hopefully they will remain in situ and won't move , I have also wired them in place hopefully they will stay put .

Also bought another six bags of stone clippings for the boarders reckon we are going to need at least another ten bags to complete it all so all the boarders are all completely stoned .

Cooked Aberdeen Angus steak with stuffed mushroom , fried onion rings and fries for tea was well stuffed , washed down with a ice cold can of Dr Pepper my second favourite Coca Cola being no1 soft drink .
I am currently bidding on a Super Dry rucksack for my holiday on Ebay was wining now losing with two days to go .

HEAD

Want to go see "The Meg"  the new shark film starring Jason Statham cant make out how serious it is from watching the You Tube trailers so will have to check it out if I go to the cinema it be a record three films in the space of a few weeks .

Order from Ebay a new wallet and a new case for my Samsung 8 very cheaper the wallet was the dearer of the two at £5.99 it has RFID protection  the phone case does not have a slot for a debit card hence the new slim line wallet  .

The ton of stone chipping came today just before noon I only had a plastic snow shovel to move it all it took me the best part of an hour but eventually I did it , in the end there was just enough , although  if we go down the left hand side we will need to get some more bags .
Bought an Easter island stone head and a grass plant I have been meaning to get one for ages for the last few years anyway . They had a medium size one at the garden centre it is quite heavy so first one bought and  I also got a grass plant for its hair looks good it is watching over us bet I get more .

DRY DUCK

Last shift working 6 - 2 next week I am on annual leave a total of nine days off .
Helen has had a few readings in the last few days which has helped her out it has been rather dismal lately for her .
Her youngest son found out his girlfriend has been kissing another man behind his back they have just returned from an holiday in Spain when he found out of course  he is not happy .

Redoing the front of the garden are changing the total structure and how it looks we have  expanded the width of the boarders on either side and will get new bushes and plants as and when ,  pictures to follow .
Had to buy a new garden X hose from B&Q it is a blue and it is 50 foot 3x expanding hose there was  tear in the old one and it blew once the water was turned on ,  I also bought a Japanese Acer tree which was reduced by 50%.

Had a Chinese take away I ordered a curry duck with noodles but  when I got back home and opened it up Helen got sweet and sour pork ,  it was a portion of duck fired rice which would have been fine but there was no curry sauce so the dish was as dry as Gandhi's flip flop which sort of ruined the meal. .

Had lunch and desert finished for two o clock before leaving to sort my son out picked him up then went to his house so he could get his spare car key I had a coffee whilst he had a shower and put a pizza in the oven  than collected his car using the spare key which was parked at his friends house from there we took both cars and went to the the Vue picture house at Clifton Moor  to see Tom Cruise in the latest Mission Impossible film  "Fallout" good film totally enjoyed it at the Vue the cost to watch a film is only £4.99 really good value  .

Week three of four working six till two getting used to the shift pattern , driving home that early in the morning is fantastic hardly anything on the road , it is  plain sailing its well quite .

Asda salted caramel ice cream lollies same size and taste like Magnums they are very nice  and  box of three and they only cost at  £1  a box of course I bought two boxes it would have been rude not to .

THE OLD BOILER AS GONE

Went to Helen's parents static home at Acaster Malbis it is a lot more up market than our van and were we live , but saying that we are not slumming it and they don't have the amount of outdoor space that we have it is like a mini suburbia .We had our dinner there fresh chicken breast with roasted veg including butter squash , sweet pots and red peppers which was really nice , for desert we had a Victoria sponge with cream and strawberries .

We drove down to a campsite that is on the river Ouse and watched the boats and other pond life float by , from there we went to the Ship Inn for a pint of cider the boat sails from there in to the centre of York takes about fifty minutes will have to do it .

TUESDAY - Had a new combo boiler fitted we can control it using a app on our phone plus it as a magnetic filter on it to keep it running better and less contaminants to cause system failure .Turn the tap the hot water is constant don't have to run it till it gets warm . It was moved into the toilet which in turn will warm the toilet room up in winter another bonus .

RINGS AND HEARTS

Thursday - Washed and waxed the car its amazing how dirty it gets driving on the motorway in the dry weather it is a good for a couple of days before the paintwork looks dull at the most it will need a wash .

Might have another couple of weeks doing the 6- 2 shift I do hope so would be very beneficial to my bank balance if I could .More or less nailed on I will .

Got Helen bushels of wheat so she could make a wheat reef using a metal ring frame  it is amazing how much you need for  one medium sized ring .The trouble is she posted it on her face book page now and now everyone wants one .she is also going to make lavender hearts using heart shaped frames , very crafty ,

Have indeed I hope got more 6-2 shifts might even be for longer than another fortnight might be a month will have to wait should get a decent wage end of August get night rate for the month plus back pay from our rise in time for our trip to Ibiza .

CANAL WITH BAILEY

SUNDAY - Went to the canal finally made it took Bailey it was warm walked way too far then of course you have it all to walk back it is a nice stretch of the canal very scenic quite a few on mountain bikes not sure why it really flat.

Went to my daughters house and had an afternoon barbecue a great feast very nice chilling out with a few bottles of cloudy cider listening to some tunes .

MONDAY - Received two cheques from missed sold  PPI one for £414  and the other one for less at  £195 . It is cash I would have not had I do  have fees to pay at 39%  once I have banked the cheques and they have cleared .  I have another three claims waiting for confirmation if PPI was sold , fingers crossed could get another few hundred pounds yet . in time for our holiday to Ibiza later in the year .

Went to Primark bought some swimming Bermuda shorts in a flora blue and white design plus some t-shirts and some trainer socks .

TUESDAY - Hopefully getting a new Ideal smart boiler installed in the van nothing to pay for thirteen months the money we save on fuel will pay a lot towards the cost , plus because we don't need boiler cover we get five years it should be getting installed in the next few weeks , also I will have had two pay rises and the mobile phone contracts will be finished saving more than enough money to pay easily for the cost of the new combi boiler .

Going to a barbecue tomorrow at my nephews house it is my sisters , his mothers birthday no doubt we will have the England verses Sweden game on not being hopefully to be truthful I think England will be boarding a plane out of Moscow back to the U.K Saturday evening would,nt it be ironic if England played Belgium in the final and won that be crazy after England lost to them 1-0 and Belgium beat Brazil , stranger things have happened in the World Cup would also mean we host the next would cup .

Bought a black touch up pen had a chip on the drivers side windscreen frame which is black manage to blend it in not too bad it is noticeable if you look for it but at least it is all black again , gave it about three coats and built it up to the existing paint level .

SATURDAY - Helen had a reading at mid day she was finished just after one .We went to Asda bought some flowers for my sisters birthday and some cloudy cider to go to my Nephews house for the barbie had the tv in the garden so we could watch England's match against Sweden  via Amazon tv , 2-0 a good result the food was really good too  the deserts excellent Eton mess was as good as the football  I had not had it before as I am not a big lover of meringue but was well nice .

HOT AND LATE

Most of the staff that work at the hospital are in to working overtime some people can double their wages and are coming out with more money the managers and supervisors . There is always overtime due to holidays , sickness and vacancies some people demand overtime due to money issues trying to be fair is hard work someone is always either going to loose out or not get the shifts they want but that's life .Same as annual leave you cant always get the days or weeks you want off its a lottery winners and losers another pain in the arse fact we did not get our pay rise this month hopefully the rise and back pay will be in July's wage packet fingers crossed .

Got next week at work six two five days at starting at 18.00 hours at least if it is sunny I will see most of the sun going to work at five in the afternoon suits me fine .

SATURDAY - My sister bought me some combat shorts and shirts for my holiday in September ,I need to get some swim shorts and new trainers , I will go to Primark and get some t-shirts and I should be sorted .

SUNDAY -Its red hot warmest day w have had this year and it is supposed to be getting hotter the following week which is good seeing as I don't have to leave for work until late afternoon.
My Daughter is in Portugal for a hen party think it last four days.

MONDAY - Took Helen for her out patients appointment for her heart unless it gives her any reason for concern she has been told that she no longer needs to make another appointment which is good .

My hay fever is a pain the hotter and sunnier then the grasses dry out and the pollen much higher when I was younger the only rest bite I got was two weeks at the coast utter bliss I think that's why I like Scarborough so much excluding the fish and chips and ice creams .

Already missed the first car repayment for some unknown reason they are trying to take a payment before I get paid ,

BACK TO WORK

Need a new microwave ours blew a fuse and no longer works , we have been with out it for a few days its a nightmare no microwave uncle Ben's rice and no re-heating cups of coffee up Helen more or less  warms up every cup of tea that she to I make ,  that's 100% true.
Cant really afford one until pay day have spent up this month getting the new car and paying for the passports , will have to wait until payday .What ever make I buy it will have to be in black as white  won't go .

SUNDAY - My daughter called over  this morning with Jenson my grandson with some bottles of  pear cider and a chocolate orange for fathers day , she had already had gave me a gift card for the cinema which was more than enough  , she called over this morning and took me and Helen for a Fathers day breakfast we drove over  to Canon Hall both breakfast and the coffee was greatly appreciated big thanks .

Cooked pork and roast potatoes for Sunday lunch which was late going into the oven we did not have time to go to the cinema to see the latest Jurassic Park oh well next weekend .

MONDAY - Back at work managed to watch some of the England World Cup opening game was ok always seem to pass the ball backwards rather than forward at least they got a win .
The motor way slip roads where closed coming home had to go through Wakefield to get home which put another twenty minutes on my drive home always , always never straight forward regarding driving on the M1 .

WEEK OFF

Need to get to the coast for a day out next time I am off on leave need a fix of sea air and the sea breeze need to smell the ocean and see the waves and feel the sand beneath my feet .I could easily live on the coast the noise of the ocean and the gulls would not bother me .

Passports should arrive tomorrow hand delivered to our door by courier another day we have to stay in today we are waiting for the Bt engineer to sort out our intermittent Internet .

The Bt Engineer never showed up wankers at least we got the passports two weeks start to finish well impressed the new passports are designed pretty nice compared to fourteen years ago.

Washed all of the windows in our static home took about twenty minutes to get them all nice and clean .

Cleaned up all the leaves and moss that had blown into the garden from the high winds that we had during the night .

Did another home made pizza using a three cheese flat bread base was ok the base was  a little crunchy than what I liked other than that it was really tasty used sliced mozzarella cheese and barbecued chicken pizzas and shiitake mushrooms and red onions and chilli oil .

Bought a bottle of Williams wash and shine polish it cost me a tenner and is good if not better than Greased lighting black and red look well good polished up .

Went over to see my Nephew in his residence it is a lovely house , I have to admit  I love everything about it from its interiors to the gardens outside ,  plus I love his cat Tutu.To be honest no way does the photo do any justice to the cat she is a lot more gorgeous than how she has been photographed .

Had two coffees whilst we sat out and caught up on stuff occurring he is having a barbie on the 7th of July for his mother and of course my sisters birthday hopefully the weather will be perfect .
The smaller house eon the right his also his he rents this out and it more or less pays a big chunk of the mortgage every month .

CRAP AGAIN

We had the potholes in our road fixed the other day there were a few deep ones that appeared after the winter months. The stilh saw they used for cutting out  the tarmac covered the car in fine dust I was able to give the car a hose down and a  wash this morning .
Went to the super market bought some pasta for a carbonara and some tuna for through the week .
Also bought some Halloumi cheese will try it in the morning with some streaky bacon and egg .

Got the week off work the sun might even make an appearance , got a text from the passport processing office all is good should receive it soon .

Watching the final episode of Marcella season one swell worth watching cant wait to catch up on season two.

SUNDAY - Cooked a full English breakfast with halloumi mushrooms baked beans the lot and hour later Helen is on the way to A&E in the back of an ambulance , no it was not my cooking she started a course of new tablets and we think and the nurses and doctor's think she may have had  had an allergic reaction to the new medication  , they took her bloods as well as an  E.c.g trace  checked her sugar levels all ok the only thing was her iron was way too low .We got discharged and went home .

Went to the petrol satin bought milk ,  cigs , paracetamol , Lucozade and chewing gum I also bought a extra large Cadbury's dime bar for me .

CONNECTED

Next week off work but  money is tight so not sure what if anything I will be doing , if the weather is hot guess walking the dogs and lounging on the sun lounger drinking juice .

A polish gentleman who works nights on A&E went back home to Poland for a couple of weeks  ,  he came back to work Monday night , and  he brought me a bottle of Polish mead  I was deeply touched it was totally unexpected .

Had a phone call from the gas board complaint department they are going to refund me £200 for the work I had done on the boiler whilst they were being paid a service payment every month for repairs and a yearly service so another result .

The Bt engineer is booked in for today to check our broadband connection I have been on the phone complaining thirteen times in the last few weeks hopefully it will  finally be sorted out .They fitted a new micro filter box  to the main feed in so now we don't need a wired micro filter hanging down its wired straight in .The connection seems more stable once they had the exchange change the speed coming down our line .

The mpg on the new car seems as good as what I was getting from driving a diesel which is good specially since unleaded fuel is cheaper per litre  .

Need to go see the new Jurassic park movie might go for the 3d version .

The timber post letter  box looks ok , I did a planter box to sit behind it so we have flowers growing up looks ok I also bought a brass number 5 to screw on to the front I hope the Postie uses it after all my hard work.

NEW HUB

Went to Asda filled the cards tank up  with petrol got to remember it is not diesel 14 miles on the clock by the end of the day I had hit treble figures , all cars start life as new yet soon after a few years become wrecks its weird to think that something so well made and sturdy become rust  buckets.

Bought some timber to make a mail box it is all rough sawn cost me four quid I  got some slate for the roof we already had as well as hinges I also bought 5 litres of creosote it should be ok .

Cooked some nice steak for tea with jacket potatoes and three cheese spread was very nice I got to admit it was cooked to perfection .

Helen made me a strawberry fruit pie which was just like my mum use to bake when I was a small child .

The new Bt hub came to day set it up 2 x laptops , two tablets and two phones as well as two fire sticks all connected plus the Amazon Echo so far so good the connection seems to be better .

CLAIMING CLAIMS

This week is going way  too slow working until the early hours makes the shift long but the time spent at home is also better gives me longer to chill out .
After this bank holiday I am off annual leave for a whole six days with the new car need to give it a run out to the coast .

Last night of filming  at the A&E Department staff who appear on film  in  the back ground if it is televised  get £1 for every occurrence which donated to the hospital by ITV cheap skates ITV not sure what else they are paying for filming hopefully it'd been worth while and the money will benefit the hospital and not just gets allowed up in the running costs of the hospital.

Went to Wentworth garden centre bought some lupins and other plants for the garden was also given a plastic compost bin from Ken across the way.

FRIDAY - It is raining for the first time in ages my last shift off the week then the weekend then working bank holiday and rest of the week off hope the weather improves .

Have been constantly phoning BT our internet provider up about the connection being slow and it dropping they have agreed to send us out the newest smart hub version 6 we have version 4 so hopefully things will improve once we receive it through the post .
Also got a call from PPI I have been sold it years ago and have a claim against the bank not sure for how much will have to wait .

I also have a claim in at British Gas over a service plan I was paying and not benefitting from when I had to get a private gas engineer out to fit a new sump the British Gas engineers said was not needed.

The new Snow Patrol album that is out today sounds pretty good listening to it via Spotify .

CAR AND EX'S

Had a call from the car dealership my Skoda Fabia had landed at the showroom a transporter had dropped it off that morning . The dealership had not had a velvet red colour before in the showroom I was told that they all agreed the colour  looked stunning ,I  got to admit I agreed with the sun shining down its a lot shinny then white Skoda that I am driving at the moment .

My Ex wife has two tumours on her lung which of course is not good on the positive side it is only stage one  ,  both Helen and myself wish her all the best and we both hope that she is strong and battles on , that will hopefully lead to her making a full recovery and what ever treatment she needs is quick and successful for her.She will be staying with my daughter in Leeds whilst she is receiving treatment .

I Also took out the Seachem  Purigen filtration which removes waste I need to bleach it clean this will take 24 hours to regenerate the media hopefully all goes well of course I need to make sure l of the bleach is removed before putting it back into the tanks filter  fingers crossed. After over night the particles are back to nearly white I don't think they will get any whiter or cleaner but will leave them a few more hours .

In the evening we went to the Aagrah at Thornbury Bradford for a evening buffet , it was my Nephews Mark 50th birthday the food was good I just had plates of starters including  chicken tikka , kebabs , lamb chops spicy roast  potatoes and chunks of beef and a selection of deserts the food was spicy and quite hot but the presentation and amount excellent .

NOTHING DOING

Need to get some bottles of Rattler cider it is strong and nice cold and very refreshing I could easily demolish a crate or two over the weekend specially if we get the barbecue going .

The hottest May bank holiday since records began , and I am at work typical .

Went to the garden centre and bought flowers to the tune of £40  for the hanging baskets that we have scattered around the van .

It has been a boring week cleaned all the concrete our static van stands on using a yard brush and Jeye's fluid its come up like new , of course ideally a pressure washer would have been better but  this was the cheaper alternative way .

Work has been work enough said my Nephew is 50 on Monday how time flies .

Saturday - Removed  the glass panel from the cooker to clean it the top screw does not go back as it should the bottom one locates and screws down fine the top one does not wish I had left it only .
