BETTER DISTRESSED

SATURDAY - Helen had numerous readings to do the other side of Leeds I waited in the car watching Man of Fire with Denzel Washington and John Wick 1 , I bought myself kebab meat and chips with chilli sauce and a can of coke by the time we had got home it was after half past eleven .

SUNDAY . Helen had a reading book din for half past twelve  after we went to the Springs retail park called in at H&M they had 15% off all purchases I bought a denim jacket , it is the first denim jacket I have owned for years , my last one was a Levi this looks like a Levi but a third of the price  and to be honest it more than likely fits me better .And of cause the more  it is worn  and the more distressed it gets the better .

MONDAY - Up before the alarm went off at seven had a shave and shower before taking Bailey out my two cats also go for a walk usually each morning ,

We Was back at Pinderfields hospital this time it was s scheduled Helen had an appointment it was to see the gynecologist to see if all was in order , everything was normal which of course was god news .

We had breakfast at the canteen there a full English breakfast was  just over £9 for the both of us and to be fair it is better than our staff canteen at the hospital where I work at , saying that I have not eaten there since I use to go when I first started seeing Helen .

First shift back after having three nights off last week emergency annual leave , I don't have many left to do before I go for my second hip replacement operation on the 11th of June .

Bought some more jacket potatoes and three cheese with fried chicken yum yum .

WATCHING - Got the last episode of Game of Thrones to watch on my iPhone hope it is as good as all the hype and not a big let down .

Also I have Bumblebee to watch and Crank one and two also to watch .

SMOKING

FRIDAY - Third night shift off from work it is not what I though I would be doing this week but we had to go back.

Back to  the Ambulatory unit at Pinderfields hospital we  got there well before eight a.m , We was more or less the first in the queue only told that the consultants doctors don't start until nine o clock fcuking typical , After seeing the consultant we was told to go back to our own G.P . So it was well after four pm when we left the unit . Helen had some meds to pick up from the hospital pharmacy which was another 15 minute wait .The parking ticket did not work again we got another days free parking which helped .

On the way home stopped at a filling station for some petrol , Helen bought a packet of 20 cigarettes a big step backwards it is the first packet she has bought since December last year  or the first packet this year , we need to see if the E-cig is causing her leg cramps , she goes to see the give up smoking nurse next Tuesday until then she is back on the dreaded weed , hopefully it is only short term .I think she realises what extra Money she had by not buying any smokes and of course the benefits to her health  .

Listening to - David Grey Gold in a Brass Age on Spotify think Spotify is really an amazing app why anyone would buy music any other way is beyond me no wonder the likes of HMV are struggling.

Watching - Bumblebee and John Wick 1 & 2  and of course Game of Thrones.

Eating - Jacket Spuds with chilli and cheese.

wishing - We was abroad near the sea at a bar

Praying - Helen to get well ,  fit and strong and of course  be totally  pain free  asp

WITH WINGS

Spent most of Wednesday at the Ambulatory at Pinderfield's hospital we was sent by our doctors we had called for a regular appointment when they saw the red rash on Helen's legs mainly on her shines .
It was just after eleven in the morning it was just after seven in the evening when we got out they reckon  it may have been due ti was due to her under active thyroid ,  it was also mentioned she might need to have a hysterectomy we will have an appointment in the next two weeks to confirm this ,  Hopefully over the next few days her legs will return to normal, Our Hospital parking ticket got corrupted some how the payment machine inside the hospital did not read it and came up with a error message  when pressing the intercom button I was told to return to my car drive it to the exit barriers and then press the help button , I did has I was told when I got there and pressed the button and the barrier was  lifted as if by magic and I was free to go reckon it saved me the bet part of £12.

Seeing has I managed to wrangle the night off work we went for fish and chips to the Wetherby whaler which was some saving grace to the end of a crappy day .

THURSDAY - No work tonight either we have an early hospital appointment Friday so we went to Meadow Hall again I bought myself six crew neck short sleeved  T-Shirts from Primark 2 in  the following colours  pure white , 2 in light blue and 2 in a  mustard yellow.

The picture I took below is of Helen taken on my iPhone X max , using an available  back drop at Meadow Hall.

Had a coffee shot caramel cream topped Frappuccino  at Starbucks  causing massive brain freeze never had one before usually go for the strawberry one which is well nice .

E - CRAMPS

Well we have both gone back to Apple after switching to Android . We went back to the O2 outlet in Trinity and we both  got a iPhone 256gb XS max . Helen opted for the gold and me the silver it is costing £120 a month for both devices .We don't spend money on drink and Helen stopped smoking last December so why not .Although it is a three year contract they should be enough in the re-sale value after two years to pay the contract of and upgrade .The only thing is they don't give you a lighting to headphone cable I remember getting this in the iPhone 7 which is the last iPhone we had at a cost of £1245 to buy its a bit mean not to .its the cost of  MacBook .
I set mine up whilst at work and got it back to how my S8 was set up got logged back into my main apps including Spotify , You tube , Facebook and  Instagram .The speakers are better and the colours displayed on the screen are excellent we are pleased we made the move back .
And so far so good no complaints. You forget all the shite you have on your phone , its nice to have a clean slate

Helen's cramps are no better I bought her some coconut water £3.49 a cartoon thought thy grew on trees she is still waiting the results from her MRI scan and as had more blood tests  , also there is a link from using E- cigarettes and leg and foot cramps  she has stopped since end of last December.

I had eggs with my full English  breakfast it is the first time ever I have cracked open an egg  with a double yolk .

1ST TAT

We have been to the local O2 store as we are both looking to upgrade our current phone which is  the Samsung S8  I am afraid it is going to be bye bye Android and  hello again Apple IOS .The question is which one of the current models do we got for  the iPhone 8 is not really in the running as the new contract will be three years to cover the cost of the new mobile  including 15gb of data ,unlimited minutes and texts .
I guess over three years you need to start out with the best phone possible and which is affordable on a monthly contract  , we have been told will get £155 trade in for each S8  , so decisions need to be made .I think it will either be a white XR with 128gb of storage or maybe the XS with the dual camera  the max be ideal but the dearest one possible around £65 a month ouch.

WEDNESDAY - Below a picture of my daughters freshly done tattoo she had this done for the memory of her mother who sadly passed this year. it was done by Ruth at red tattoo in Leeds city centre at a cost of £160 it is on her rib cage below her armpit think she is already planning her next one .My daughter is over them moon with it can't say I blame her .

BISHOPTHORPE FOR LUNCH

FIDAY - Went shopping again over to York at  Monksgate retail outlet called into H&M bought two polo shirts  in nice rich cotton one in white the other navy with white stripes also bought two shirts and a pair of jeans .I bought Helen some tops and other stuff we sign up to the membership scheme and got 10% off which worked at around a £28 saving .
Also went to Primemark I bought a few T-shirts and some sliders and Helen got some vests and pjs .

Got an unexpected missed call from my Son and a text message asking if I would ring him I did he never picked up I left it an hour and rang him again for a second time once again he never picked up. So  I rang my daughter to see if she knew of any issues or problems that he had she had not spoken to him . Eventually he rang me he is not in a happy place he is missing his mother who passed just after Christmas and like us all he has regrets of the things he did , and the things he didn't do and of course the things he wanted to say but  never got to say , life is a ticking clock that runs way too fast for us all , and we never know one year to the next what's left on the timer we are all going to be in a similar position at some stage of our life's all we can do is to treat others the way we wish to be treated and hopefully get the majority of things done and the majority of the things we want to say said.

Massive jacket potatoes  with butter with a can of Stag chilli and grated cheddar cheese has got to be one of my favourite meals it just hits the spot ever time , well cooked sausage mash potatoes and baked beans is another both easy simple meals but so just right .

SUNDAY - Went to the Mercia pub at Bishopthorpe across the road was the Woodman the pub that  they all went to after my ex wife funeral service , For our Sunday lunch with Helen's parents  also in attendance we both had the roast beef it was spot on  for deserts I had of course had the salted caramel cheese cake with ice cream Helen for her desert ordered the  bread and butter pudding with custard .

MY NEWEST FAN

Helen bought a £50 four blade ceiling fan for the van in the living room  I put it up it did not work I undid the side screw that hold it to the ceiling rose and the red wire and come out I re screwed it in and it worked ok  its not a great down draught but you can feel the breeze , perhaps when it is warm it will feel cooler .

Went to the chiropodist since I have been going it has made me feel like I am walking on grass all of the time  next time , The next time  I go  it will be just before  my hip replacement surgery no 2 .

Work is boring appraisal season for the staff what total waste of time and paper management trying to score brownie points fooling no one .

Made a rustic wine and glass rack its a prototype and not completed hopefully we will or I will make more .Helen also bought a Mac Alister palm sander and a jigsaw Bothe for £45 for crafting and doing small work they should suffice .I bought some more bits for my Dremel of eBay 20 for £6.00 good old bay need sandpaper and jigsaw blades .

Bought some Haggen Dazs salted caramel ice cream lollies Magums are the best bigger and better but none are as good as Asda own brand trouble is they never have any in , the Asda closest to us  is getting worse it is annoying some times the shelves are really empty I can only guess it must be what it was like living in a communist Russia in the 70's fcuk all on the shelves

Listening to the Chainsmokers albums and albums by Khalid on Spotify .

POWER TOOLS

Bought  Dremel 3000 its a rotary hand held power tool I also bought some some extra sanding and cutting discs need to order some router bits and some engraving pieces can also but a router attachment for it .I am going to try and do some wood carving I have a few designs that I would like to do .

I also bought  Mac Alister sliding compound mitre chop saw from B&Q it cost only £90  so is bottom end of the market , but so far so good it seems ok . It was easy enough  to set up and is cutting fine it is accurate and not that noisy is easy to move its not too heavy  and It is cutting clean and square .

I ave wanted both of these items for ages they say he who waits well both are a godsend and differently make life easier .

CAMEO

Bought a curtain pole for the bay window from Dunelm I have fitted  it so it goes across bulk head rather than around the windows, also got three voiles with hassle edges they look good .
We also bought new cushion covers and pillows  a paper lantern for the bedroom light  and a new lamp for the side board that is  in the window recess and three small black photo frames all  from Ikea .we stocked up on meatballs and mash for tea.

Downloaded some designs and new fonts for the Cameo Silhouette library we spent around  £40 and we got quite a few decent designs which hopefully Helen can use , print out and make some extra cash .

We have it set up and working and we cut our first design which was of a  Chicken , Pig and Cow stood on top of one another with the words egg , bacon and milk etched in to the animals , first cut was not aligned right second was right we had trouble transferring the design to the backing tape we did it the wrong way round learning from our mistakes. I think it is trail and error we had issues sticking it to the wooden chopping board the vinyl sticks to glass and plastic no problem wood is a different medium specially if it has been oiled .Best thing to do would be to cut out a stencil then paint it black instead and  the stencil can always be used again .

Went to my daughters house she did Helen's hair it was cut and coloured  she also cut mine grade one whilst she was waiting for  Helen's colour to take ,  I cooked  us up bacon sausage and tomato
sandwiches .

My twin sister is in Pontefract Hospital she had her toe straightened it has been cut opened and then  pinned she was suppose to be in a day . But is being kept in hopefully for just one night because it won't stop bleeding every time she moves it .

COKE COST MORE THAN FOOD

Finished painting Helen's parents bathroom and bedroom all is done ,the bedroom looks pretty damn good .

I started painting our living room the walls a few weeks ago that I painted a charcoal grey are now Puppy Love brown the other two opposite walls and ceilings are white , can't beat freshly painted walls it is looking good .

Helen bought a mantle clock from Laura Ashley it was reduced from £75 to £37 she painted it grey .
A long with some wooden candle sticks .We need a new rug to match the greys and my chair needs reupholstering .

The Silhouette  Cameo three was delivered  Monday but we have not had any free  time to set it up hopefully we will before the end of the week . Helen has quite a few readings booked in over the next few days .

TWO BUFFETS IN TWO DAYS

WEDNESDAY  - Helen went for her nails doing I went and got her a new coil atomizer for her e-cig and a bottle of liquid  after we went for a Chinese buffet at the Trinity centre the food to be honest was not that good the selection was poor some of the dishes on offer was empty and some of the food was cold I doubt if any of the dishes where freshly prepared at best it was filling the sweets and  deserts where ok and the decor looked ok but a little bit dated also some of the plates and dishes where cracked it was nowhere near as good has Chao Baby buffet that we had a couple of weeks ago the price was ok we have passed it on our visits to the Trinity centre numerous times I think we will keep passing it ,

THURSDAY - Went to to our local Toby Carvery for dinner  IT WAS 13.30  they was a few people al ready dining  . Helen had roast turkey and gammon I just had the pork with Yorkshire puddings and there was plenty of roast potatoes and mash w have not had a Carvery for a while it was nice to have a proper roast dinner mid week .

I bought a bigger aluminum water bottle it is at 750 ml it is another 50%  the 500 ml was not lasting my full shift at work the extra 250 ml should be enough if not can always fill both up with my dilute orange and mango drink it keeps it cold for a good 18 hours special the amount of ice I put in .

P&D

FRIDAY - Christ have to go to work at 14.00 instead of 18.00 that's making a big cut into my day at least I get o finish at 22.00 it as been a while I know parking is going to be hard and I am already counting on having to go out and move my car at four o clock  , and I bet it will be raining cats and dogs sods law it will .
Least I will get to see some people I have not sen for ages and get to go home at a reasonable hour for a change .

SATURDAY -  Went over to Helen's parents home I am painting their bathroom and bedroom they are doing the bedroom a baby blue I rang out of paint before giving it all one coat will have to go back Sunday , we got cooked for us us pan fried battered  fish and hand cut chips for dinner thank god for masking tape and paint rollers .

SUNDAY - Left alone they went for more paint for the bedroom I started to decorate the bathroom all white apart from the back wall rang out of white paint they had brought me another tin of blue so I finished the bedroom will take one more day .

Helen is saving up for a Silhouette Cameo 3 she should have enough by the end of next week it is basically a machine that cuts out vinyl letters and stencils using a software application which you install on a pc or Mac.

MONDAY - Back to my 18.00 -02.00 shifts which suit me better won't have many left to do so more the merrier .

OP 2

Well another weekend over and done with got to admit they are not what they used to be use to look forward to nights in the pub then on to a club leave the club at chucking out time and then on to a Blues . Now its coffee , Netflix and Spotify and early nights ,  how I have changed . I honestly don't think I could afford night club prices and I wouldn't even like to guess the price of a taxi home .

This Friday I am doing 14.00 - 22.00 be weird doing my old shift pattern the girl who is on maternity is having a KIT day or other wise known as a keep in touch day , keep in touch with yourself more like  it is a total waste of time but management think otherwise never mind at least it is on a Friday .

TUESDAY - Went to see my surgeon he has agreed to do another hip replacement operation number 2  this time it is going to be my right hip which seems worse than my left hip was , it  should take place in May or June hopefully late June I need another x-ray this should be in the next few weeks .Fingers crossed it is all plain sailing as it was last time which was Jan 2017 .

Update my Android to Pie photo gallery playing up not syncing to cloud or downloading to phone should have left well alone , was way too soon jumped the gun I guess .

Need to do a hospital list for my three night stay at the Spires in Elland need to download a Netflix series to watch , a book to read and music to listen to late at night in case I don't sleep .

MY INNER SOLES

The Bose are really  good I know they are nowhere near the best you can get that are currently on the market but for my needs and for the type of music listen to  and of course the You tube videos and Netflix etc that I watch both on my Mac and phone then they are brilliant a big improvement . The noise cancelation is a first for me and this feature alone makes a big difference in the sound  quality , also just to relax and not even have any music playing is very tranquil and peaceful sounding like a Buddhist now , but are they worth £300 maybe not the are expensive . Will I get my money out of them I know I will so they will be cost effective. My last pair of Phillips bluetooth on ear headphones cost me £20 this was more than five years ago and are still going strong good value or what .

Ordered some , well a pair one for each shoe some gel rubber inner soles hopefully to combat the plantar fasciitis that I am suffering in my left heel I want to have good mobility before and after when  I have surgery on  my right hip .

The wind is still blowing and the rain is still falling roll on summer please come quickly .

Watching on Netflix the F1 series "Drive to Survive " used to be into F1 and would follow every race buy the mags and keep on track if you like with all the media coverage I have not had a serious interest for the last few years the season starts this weekend might try and get my interest back .

SATURDAY - Had a bit of a sleep in got up just before ten so a good seven hours sleep which is very good for me will be in bed for tennis tonight so will get even more sleep playing catch up usually get to be for three a.m and updrafts for half eight .

Took Helen to Wortley in Leeds she had two readings to do I sat in the car watching Ricky Gervais in "After Life " awesome enjoyed every episode .

DEADPOOL WHO ?

Helen is  still in pain from her on going leg cramps the calf muscles are aching hopefully this will ease over the next 48 hours , Helen needs to get off her arse and move around more before she totally seizes up , everyone knows what happens if you park a car up and leave it .

Watched Leaving Neverland I think the two accusers had there chance in court bur let him off so move on , I do think Michael Jackson was a groomer and an abuser even though he has no convictions for any of these crimes , I think it needs more victims to come forward , some of the blame must go to the parents of these kids , what gets me because they where all male children the parents did not think they was at any risk , no parent let there seven year old daughter sleep over but for their sons it was different matter which is something that  I can't get my head around .why was this so was they totally brain dead parents  apparently so .

SUNDAY -Went to the Royal Oak at Copmanthorpe for Sunday dinner we meet her parents their at midday the both of us had the roast beef it was good had a pint of cloudy cider to wash it down .

MONDAY - Went to Meadow hall Helen wanted some sweat shirts and other shit from Primark .
I went to the Bose shop bought a pair of Bose QC11 in limited edition midnight blue for £299 they are awesome to say the least . They can connect to more than one device and so easy to swap over to another device and the noise cancellation excellent.
Bose even gave me a ten percent discount voucher which made them cheaper than Pc world who are selling the other two colours less than Bose , which was gratefully accepted .

My daughter arrived back safely from her friends hen party in Portugal they flew out Friday and from the photos she posted I am pretty sure they all had a good time .

TUESDAY - Went back to Meadow Hall Helen had a pair of jeans to take back as they were way too tight . Even though the other two pairs she bought at the same time from the same store fitted perfectly .

Went to Chao Baby Thai buffet restaurant we have been before its very good , I had the Thai beef stew , ginger chicken and fish pieces fried in batter all with noodles rice and chips not all at the same time or on the same plate .The desserts was ok but of course  its the main courses that you go for .

Helen had a photo taken by me with  a life size model of Deadpool , honestly she had no idea who he is this is someone who has never watched an episode of  "Game of Thrones" or "The Walking Dead" I kid you not .She does watch 'Harry Potter though.

JUICED

MONDAY - Back to work I had a email I am doing my current hours of 18.00 - 02.00 until the 5th of July , Jess who is currently  on maternity leave returns to her regular nights of 22.00 - 06.00 on this date .

TUESDAY - Bentley went to the vets this morning we was late he stayed out all night and was late returning I called the vets they was ok about it.
The operation went ok they called me to ask to pick him up early he was stressing out post op so I collected him after a few hours he was given some oral pain killer solution and is booked in for a check up this Friday at 11.30 .He does not have any stitches the wound is small and is left to heal naturally hopefully it won't get infected .

FRIDAY - Bentley had his post op check up he is fine all is good . Bought a bottle of Caleb Treeze organic leg cramp juice made from cider vinegar garlic juice and ginger juice its supposed to be very good and getting rid of cramp it cost £16,95 hope its good the feed back looks ok Helen is suffering bad with leg cramps through the night .

O2 WHISTLE

Bailey is booked in to get his coat washed and cut the full platinum treatment teeth nails the full Monty , also Bentley is due to go to the vets to get castrated this to stop him spraying on the new sofa can't afford to be forking out another £425 , for some strange unknown reason I thought that  he had already been done not long after we adopted him .

Went to the garden got a pot and tray for my bonsai tree that I am attempting  to grow from seed not sure how the planting of the seeds will take I have five fibre  pots hopefully one or two will start to shoot if they do the need to go in to the fridge for three to six weeks to germinate them will also have to get some feed and hopefully late Ron some bonsai shears or scissors .

Went to the White Rose shopping complex in Leeds , Helen wanted a pair of white Nike Air force trainers last weekend we tried to get them from the Wakefield store and  they refused to sell us the junior ones Helen takes a size  five they are exactly the same trainers but £20 cheaper as you don't pay vat on children clothes shoes etc and they didn't like that we was saving £20  it so we walked away they did not get a sale but the Leeds store did not have problem they sold her the junior ones without any issues.

Bidding on some Marshall 3 blue tooth headphones in black my highest bid is £52 they end tomorrow fingers crossed I get them for less than that .

My work paid £400 in to my bank hopefully it won't happen again they might still owe me some money they don't intend to pay the full amount out standing so might have another £25 - £35 paid on this months wages .

O2 is pissing me off big style I am getting charges for a news and information company this month was £15 they was supposed to have stopped it yet I am getting charge last month they refunded me the money on to this months bill now they won't do this for this months bill saying I have to phone up the company to get a refund why you was supposed to block the number I was told I would by O2 that I would get no more charges I have paid for the standard charge I have on my contract if you pay the company your fault don't pay them you know its a con if this continues and is not resolved  I will terminate the contract myself and O2 can whistle and they won't call me because I will have a new number .

WEDNESDAY - Drove to my daughters house she cut my hair for me again  a grade one on the back and sides and short on the top she also did Helen's colour  and trimmed the ends as well as this she also bless her cooked stew and pancakes for our tea which was a nice surprise she is not a bad cook she does ok .

THURSDAY - I have an appointment to see the surgeon who replaced my left hip I am seeing him on the 19th of March at 10.45 until then not sure what happens or in what order , or even how long I will have to wait hopefully it will see me being off through the summer .

Helen goes to Pontefract hospital tomorrow at 08.00 am she is having a colonoscopy she had breakfast this morning then he'd no more food she had to take 10 Senna tablets and a sachet and half of powder laxative she needs a empty bowel for the camera to be able to see clearly .

FRIDAY - Went to the hospital at pontefract the procedure to over an hour and half but she got the all clear no sign of anything untoward which was good news went to  farmer Copley's farm  shop bought some lamb and nice piece of pork for Sunday dinner to be honest it is no better than our local farm shop .

Got home to fine the cat at spayed all over the sofa will never get the stink out it had soaked through and got into the foam no good to it to the skip that is the sofa should have took the cat , £425 for a new two seater at least we machined washed the covers so we have a spare set just in case and expensive trip out ., just paid £325 off the card as well from last month , would have been in a dilemma if I had not had the card always said it was there for emergencies which is what today was .

Wages owe us around £450 which might go on next months wages if I don't get it paid tonight by bacs transfer .

DREAMS

FRIDAY -Was suppose to drive the camper  over to Helen's brother house in Crofton to get the reversing switch fitted the van wouldn...
