BAD WEEK.

MONDAY - So sad the day , my first proper dog Bandit a female Jack Russell that we bought from a dog rescue centre was put to sleep hopefully she had no idea and felt no pain . Both my daughter and son was with her to comfort and hold her including the hours before she was put to sleep .
They took her to the vet and then  they stayed with to the end of life  then they brought her body home she will be buried near Lara the cat no doubt  , hopefully they are together again in heaven .The both of them each had wonderful long and happy eventful life's .

I use to walk her for miles across the canals and nature reserves I would take my iPod listen to the likes of Snow patrol , Coldplay Razor light and R.H.C.P and wander of in to my own private world day dreaming and wishing . I saw her out run a Greyhound around a field and out face a dog three times her size yet she was never nasty to any dog or cat unless they threatened her happy memories .

I saw her for the last time a few weeks ago when I picked my son up to take him to his dentist in Manchester , of course not realizing it would be the last time .

TUESDAY - Did not go to work yesterday my good hip and left foot is playing up in pain a a big part of the day I have an appointment at the doctors Thursday .I will stay off work until next week hopefully will get some anti inflammatory tablets and stronger pain killers and a referral to the surgeon who replaced my left hip a few years ago .

BYE BANDIT

Need some white trainers for summer and new sliders with thicker soles  , also need a few Ben Sherman t-shirts , I am ok for shorts I bought a few pairs last year when we went to Ibiza .

Two years ago January 2017 I had an hip replacement on my left hip the right one is now causing me pain and it seems to be getting worse .I have made an appointment to see the doctor who referred me last time hopefully we can get the same surgeon Simon Jones and the same hospital to get the same high quality treatment that  I had last time .I don't know what the timescale will be not sure if I can have the op , if I do I will be double bionic two titanium and ceramic hips .

Helen did a couple of readings so treated herself to a 50ml  bottle of Armani Diamonds and a diary and pink  leather writing case .

For the first time ever they have messed up my monthly wages I have been paid a flat basic wage no Saturday enhancements and no night rate which is around £400 I don't have going in to my account , I have emailed the payroll and so far not had a reply.

SATURDAY - Went over to Helen's parents at Acaster Malbis for dinner it was a Sunday dinner but on a Saturday afternoon  we had roast pork with all the trimmings including Yorkshire puds and roast spuds followed by which was a big plus a home made trifle  they moved here exactly one year ago on this date amazing I thought it was longer .

Tried some Voltarol gel for my hip pain I rubbed some in and amazingly it seemed to work and I was pain free as it gets to work in minutes which is a lot quicker than taking tablets , the gel is around £15.99 , there is a Boots chemist where I work and we get a whopping 10% staff discount , well its better than nowt .

Bidding on eBay for a pair of black Beats solo 3 wireless headphones in black current bid £16.99 six days left doubt I will win them but who knows a last minute bid could seal the deal , these cost between £249 and £299 on the Apple web site.

SUNDAY - Had a call from my daughter my old Jack Russell Bandit is being taken to the vets to be  put down tomorrow morning ,  she  has gone blind over the last couple of days and is constantly bumping and walking in to things plus she is having trouble walking anyway and will loose the use of her legs which is no good . Bye Bandit R.I.P.

Work is a pain we have that many staff off covering all areas is a struggle every day we need more employees it is getting serious .

Have been looking at getting some fake air pods I 1O TWS they are a third of the price and the reviews are giving them great feed back I lost a pair of Akg and I can get them for £6 I would like some wireless ones for out doors and a decent over ear ones for use in the home .

IF IT WASN'T FOR BLINDS

WEDNESDAY - Helen bought blinds for each of the windows in  the van didn't start to fit them until this after none had to go back out and buy some white pre painted mdf architrave to bring the blinds forward off the wall so they clear the window we have two in grey and the rest in white the bay window I will leave to last .

THURSDAY - Fitted more blinds prefer the grey coloured ones rusher than the white one of the blinds needed reducing in width had to cut ever blind slat with the blind trimmer very tedious over one hundred cuts but got there in the end .Anyway you know what they say if it wasn't for blinds it be curtains for us all .

Valentines day we went out for fish and chips late in the afternoon we was supposed to go out for breakfast but was way too busy doing the blinds we have also bought one for the glass door which is just the right width .

Helen's rocking horse is all stained waxed and polished ready for valentines day which is why I bought it for her it looks a lot better the bare wood  .

ROCKING THE HORSE

Helen has had a coil fitted to regulate her periods and make them less heavy she looses a lot of blood every month and suffers terrible pains and aches hopefully this Merena coil could even stop her periods altogether , might even stop her mood swings hehe.

Bought two Yankee candle wax burners one in black the other in white it was only when Helen took one to the checkout and was charge half price did we find they had been reduced , the quickest U-turn ever to the shelf with the other  burners  on , which was near to the check out and in easy reach o pick up another one a case of buy one get one free .

SATURDAY - Went over to Dobcross garden centre bought a clock for the kitchen wall its black with a white face .They was selling off a wooden rocking horse it was knocked down to £199 I bought it for an early valentine present for Helen she has wanted one for years so I bought it for her .

On the way back we called in at Compo's fish restaurant at Holmfirth we had not eaten all day and it has been a while since we have eaten here as always the food was excellent .

ROCKING THE FISH TANK

SUNDAY - Went to the aquarium shop in our local garden centre bought three bags of black gravel some new stones and some wood a plastic jelly fish and flora which under the blue light is day glow  all in all just under £100 , we changed the water cleaned out the pump and washed all the pads and filters took over two hours a full 100% water changed , a pain in the arse to do but worth it for the benefit of the fish .

Helen's Law of attraction planner / journal she got off  Amazon arrived it was left  on the porch when we got back from shopping this planner is around £30.00 and apparently if you use the correct pen you can put it in the microwave  for around 20 seconds and it erases all the content if you write with a pilot frixion pen .

Cooked a pork joint with the fat on with mashed carrot and swede roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings , Helen had a reading at six so we had a late dinner .Got to admit when pork is cooked right it is a great taste and texture specially the crackling.
I went in the bedroom with my laptop headphones and a very large brandy , coke and ice watching YouTube .

MONDAY - Back to work hard to get back in the swing of things caught up with my emails and tried to cover the next three weeks rotas as there is a load of the workforce of on annual leave have left or are on long term sick not a easy task.

TUESDAY - Went back to the aquarium suppliers bought a hand made concrete triangular rock  with holes which sits at the back of the tank it did cost £40 but it sets off the tank , and it is beneficial for the fish we also bought a new Fluval digital thermometer  ,  looks dynamic think we will get more fish at the end of the month .

After the water change the it was looking cloudy shit always blows out once the tank is primed 48 hours the water is crystal clear no debris no discolouring the tank water  looks like you could bottle it and sell it as spring water .

LIFE MEMORIES

SATURDAY - Got up went over to Meadow Hall at Sheffield it was very quiet the roads clear parking easy . I had a gift card for Fat Face and Helen had one for White Stuff we both  ended up buying under wear ,
Helen also bought a padded hooded winter coat from Next and a baby blue and pink sweat hoodie top also from Fat Face.
We wandered over to the Apple store I got to admit the new  IPhone looks a lot more nicer than the Samsung S8 that we both currently have contracts end in August the displays look a lot more clearer and brighter all and all looks a nicer phone I think we have both decided after a few weeks of using the S8's that we will definitely do a switch back to the  IPhone we both regret the switch and both miss Apple.

Washed the car salt from the gritted roads makes the car look like something out of Mad Max it was warm enough to give it a wash its back to its lustrous metallic red , the inside needs a vac which I left .

EVENING - We went to the Corn Mill Hotel at Leeds we was invited to a celebration of life  , an event  for our good friend Graham who sadly passed away due to complications brought on by cancer  before Christmas .There was a good turn out  of people , and food was laid on continuing of various pizza's , fish and chicken goujons , sausage rolls chicken skewers and jacket potatoes  topped with cheese all very nice and appreciated .They had four easels with photos of  different stages of his life ,were all going to end up on a easel board in a room for people to few , in a nut shell all life is all about making memories ,

We bought some glass coffee cups and some glass beakers , as well as a rug and a door mat with three hearts on it  we also bought new dog blankets in grey and 100 night lights , and a really good fake orchid in white for only £10 .00  they was selling real ones for half that price.
I bought a bag of Ikea meat balls the same as they sell in the restaurant  , some mash potatoes gravy mix and a jar of loganberry all set for tea , I also bought two cans of Ikea pear cider which was the very first pear cider I ever tasted .And of course we all had hot dogs and milk shakes after leaving the check outs ,

When we got home the Amazon echo dot  Helen bought online was on the decking Helen had bought it for my daughters birthday it was suppose to be delivered earlier in the week but better late then not being delivered at all , After a quick call to my daughter to confirm she would be in we drove over to her house and got it set up she cooked us both tea  ,bless her  I think she was genuinely happy with her new friend Alexa .She also let me use her family membership for Spotify which is nice .

FEBRUARY  FRIDAY - A dusting of snow yet again but to be honest it is not that bad went to the supermarket bought some essentials lamb steaks and rump and sirloin steaks as well as  chicken Kiev's and chicken  breast in breadcrumbs , I also bought asparagus sprouts and broccoli as well as frozen mash and some crinkle cut chips  , a block of cheese chicken tikka spread and three cheese spread , a packet of both red and green chillies I also bought a med jar of coffee and a large packet of t-bags and a six pint bottle of semi skimmed  milk  and a  med size bottle of Coca Cola the real thing  to go with the whiskey and brandy that I still have left over from Christmas .

from the farm shop I bought 2 doz eggs half a dozen fish cakes 2 trays of minced  beef and a tray containing  two large chicken breasts and two pain au chocolate that I need to bake in the oven for about  15 minutes.
Well my week off from work is nearly over it has gone not too bad not really fast and not too slow  which I was off till summer driving in winter too risky .

A PHEASANT PIE

MONDAY - Went over to my daughters neck of the woods meet her at the salon hopefully she is getting the lease on it does need some work doing but the infrastructure is all there .Yes it needs decorating and new doors and skirting boards and some panelling doing but its nothing major the biggest expense maybe the air con unit they want,

After wards we went for breakfast to the Midland Hotel which is also a pub for a cooked breakfast it was ok . Early evening Helen went for her nails re doing at a nail bar in Wakefield she has not been there before , whilst I had a wonder around the city centre just browsing the shops and used phones outlets , was tempted to go to Starbucks for a white chocolate mocha .
After her nails we went to Asda and bought some salted caramel ice cream lollies they are like Magnums but much cheaper and as nice , I bought some chicken breasts and wraps  which I will cook for tea.

TUESDAY - Helen had two readings at eleven in the morning , after we had to go out to buy cat and dog food as we was running low .
In the evening we went to the Kaye Arms for tea  for starters we both had shredded beef with onion gravy poured into a freshly made Yorkshire pudding for main  I had chicken and pheasant pie with hand cut chips  which had a pie crust top and Helen had the beer battered  fish both meals was excellent as always , for a local pub the food is always of a high standard .We was back home for quarter past seven , during the night it snowed the first of the year,

HAPPY & SAD

FRIDAY - Bought Helen a triple dressing table mirror only to unbox it at home to find one of the beveled edge pieces and splinted , lost the receipt seeing as we are only exchanging it should not be an issue .
I also bought the biggest sized candle holder to go with the other two sizes we have it is the first time ever they had them in we had been told that it had been discontinued .

Had another three piece dinner from Marston's chicken shack as always excellent with spicy mayo and chunky chips .

Ebay orders three pilot gel pens , 1 X 100 pack of plastic cd wallets , carbon fibre RFID wallet credit card holder and many clip  and one charcoal echo dot which Helen is buying for my daughters birthday the delivery is going to be after her birthday which is Sunday hopefully we will have it Monday or Tuesday .

Then we drove over to the Trinity at Wakefield went to the Pandora charm shop and  bought  a Pandora safety chain for my daughter's charm bracelet her birthday is tomorrow she will be twenty seven years it will be her first birthday without her mother but I think she has pre written birthday cards for her as well as a happy day I know she will be sad too  .

Helen had five readings to do tonight  .Bought some brown sugar and some  Dolce Gusto cappuccino pods for my coffee machine then I sat in the car for three hours  and watched  Luther .

DECORATING

This Friday is the first pay day since Christmas which is about time .Its a good job I got my overwrought facility in place and credit card as well as Helen doing readings and of course the best money saver she has stopped smoking no cigarettes for a month a saving of over £250.

Will go to the farm shop and stock up on chicken breast I am also looking forward to getting a mixed fish curry again .

We are also getting some wallpaper and paint and we are going to decorate the van through out and decorate the bathroom and toilet and our bedroom which has never altered since the day we moved in which is a bit of a no no really.

HAND CRAfTED GIN

SATURDAY - Four hours sleep had to be up to go over to my daughters salon where she works doing clients hair .
we had to be there for 9.00 am Helen was getting her colour done again and cutting and I was getting my normal cut .By this coming May she will have her own salon with her partner Jade .
They has a Bose mini sound bar speaker highly impressive not cheap but great sound quality .

Went home we stopped of at the Farm shop and bought some mince and onions carrots and potatoes we made a mince pie with  suet pie crust on top we did a bowl of gravy to take , and we also mad a mincemeat pie for desert with ice cream both called mincemeat weird I know. The original pies did have minced meat in them going back to the thirteen century as well as fruit , nutmeg and  cinnamon  , they don't know contain the meat ingredient  but still contain suet that is made from animal fat.

This was the meal we was taking over to my daughters house for a late tea or supper at seven o clock Saturday evening .

SUNDAY - Went over to Acaster Malbis near York it is Helen's mother birthday we bought her a bottle of Whitley Neils hand crafted rhubarb and ginger gin £26 a bottle it was way cheaper at Christmas  .We had to go to two supermarkets to get a bottle Sunday shopping always seems to be the worse day of the week to go buying the  car parks and exit routes out very busy as well as the tills  which delayed us getting over to her Mothers house .

LONG MONTH

For the last week or so we have been having porridge for breakfast just bought some maple syrup and pecan which was really nice not sure its any good for those with nut allergy but I liked it . Also bought the plain variety that's just straight normal porridge and a treacle box should be enough for 15 breakfast having one each , we make it with semi skimmed milk .

Have a weeks annual leave coming at the end of the month hopefully the weather is half decent .
Might go to Leeds it has been a while since we visited the city be nice to go for a decent lunch maybe a steak house or a Chinese buffet we have a couple of gift cards to spend both the outlets we need are in Leeds as well .

My daughter picks her mothers ashes up either Thursday or Friday I think it will be a comfort to her knowing she has her mum with her again people might say they are just sat but it is a mother regardless .

THURSDAY

NOWT GREAT

It  is amazing how we  all take things for granted like  the birds and the bees , flowers and the  trees , sunset and sunrise yet we walk around not really noticing them .
We really should look around more and notice all  nature  as to offer myself included to see the sun rise and sunset the beaches and oceans lakes and lagoons and wood land and forests

you all should have the bear necessities to eat nice food or at least eat three meals a day and to have a warm house and a job ,

We should all top moaning  fuck Brexit ignore the politicians that liar and cheat feed us bull shit stop the killing of wild  animals and totally stop destroying the planet and stop fighting all wars .

We need top spending money on arms and weapons of massive destruction and spend the money sorting  out the millions of people that are starving each day  , and build houses to home people that have no where to live who have  no where to sleep or even prepare meals .

The planet has been brought to its knees in the last 100 years and for it  to survive another 1000 years which is highly unlikely , we all need to change our ways or  the earth will be one mass grave.

FRIDAY.
My daughter got the flowers we had sent using the online flower delivery service Bloom and Wild first time I have used them got to say there were excellent flowers with next day delivery so easy and great flowers the are boxed up and the box goes through standard size letter boxes  .

Went to the Range store it sells home home decor like  mirrors and vases etc we bought some mirrored photo frames and a small stainless steel clock for the bedroom .
Helen saw a nice tribute fold dressing table mirror which looked really good I said I would get it for he come next payday .
Went back to work I never mind Fridays as it nice knowing its almost  the weekend and in a few hours I will be driving home .

SATURDAY - Helen had a reading in the afternoon had a lazy day chilled out .

SUNDAY - Went to the Trinity centre at Wakefield did a bit of food shopping went home and cooked the last of the turkey joints we got for Christmas , had an early night catching up on sleep had twelve hours which is massive amount for me .

THURSDAY - My daughter and sons mother funeral took place to day in York I was eventually invited but had an appointment to take Helen to the doctors at the very same time , it was nice to be asked .I have seen some photos already she had a beautiful wicker coffin with lovely flowers decorating it I know she would have loved it .

My daughter wore her dress and coat which was a nice gesture hopefully it will be a very ,very  long time before they are both  reunited in heaven .

I sent my daughter some flowers I have to admit it was Helen's idea they should be delivered today .

Our friend Graham had his cremation today it was family only we are having a celebration of his life on the 2nd of Feb .

My Brother in law Alan his fathers funeral was yesterday in Brighton may he also rest in peace although I never got to meet the man still sad news .

p.s the wraps were spot on I mad two and have enough chicken to make two more with yogurt and mint sauce excellent .

WEEK TWO 2019

Helen is really sticking with the e-cig we have had to not buy a single packet of cigarettes in twelve  days this is a great achievement and what a great start to the new year if she can do a fortnight which she will  she can do a month fingers crossed saving over £240.

Work is the normal pain they want me to do more cleaning audits at night even if it is doing areas already done . I think they must think I sit in the office all night drinking coffee if only they knew .

Made another quiche using fresh eggs tomatoes and bacon getting quite good so far everyone as come out tasting really great and of course eating it when its still warm is the best .Another thin I cooked was a nan bread pizza using tinned tomatoes and cheese and ham always tastes better than shopped bought ones will do another one using tuna.

I got my tax from the tax man it clears on Friday just in time for the weekend which is great timing .

Not sure why I have been getting a pain in my left heel when I walk it is bad when I have rested and get out of bed in the morning not sure why have not injured it in any way . My walking is not good as every step is uncomfortable  might have to book in at the doctors .

My ex -wife's funeral and cremation tomorrow at 15.00 I know when I was at my mothers service one of  the thoughts I had  was this is the last time we are all going to be in the same room has her , a very sad thought . Hope my daughter is brave she is one of the pallbearers the final thing she can do for her mother ,

Listening to  - Mumford and Sons new album "Delta" and Anne Marie 'Speak You Mind".

TWO IN ONE DAY

First weekend of the new year this week as already flown bye after Sunday only 51 weeks of the year left can't believe it will be valentine's day before we know it then Easter .

Took Helen over to Bramley Saturday afternoon she had three readings to do for three young lady hairstylists which was at 3 0 clock .I waited in the car watched a film I had downloaded of Amazon which took the time to after five o clock  , it was dark and cold .
I went in for a coffee it is a hair salon but as well as cutting hair they also drink and make coffees .

After wards  we Called in on a friend who's partner had died  , yet another death from cancer he died from pneumonia once his immune system was knocked out he caught a viral strain of flu which is what really killed him , he died  on the 21st of December and  his cremation is on the same day as my ex wife which is next Thursday.
He use to keep small Owls in an aviary in his garden he also made a decent curry and loved going out with his metal detector , he will be missed .

I did not know you don't have to be buried or cremated in a coffin you can be cremated or buried  in a shroud or just your clothes or even a card board coffin and if this is someones wish then why deny them.
I don't think I have had two people that I know who have been cremated  on the same day it has never happened yet  they must be thousands who die any given day.

RETHINK

Well things are picking up hopefully Helen as three readings booked for Saturday over in Leeds I will have to amuse myself for a few hours whilst I wait for her to finish .

I think I under estimated the tax rebate I am getting from HRMC I might be more in the region of £300 I do hope so fingers crossed be a good start to the new year it is my daughters birthday at the end of the month would be nice to go out for another Indian meal to a restaurant were we live.

I am also thinking about changing my bank account to one that gives me an option of an over-draught  facility should I ever need it  (like today ) in this day and age I think I am the only person at work who does not have an over draught facility  or credit card .I am aware of debt and the pitfalls with the both of these but I am also aware of we need to eat and I the fact that I also need petrol for getting to and from work .

I think one of my New Years resolutions is to always have access to money without getting in to  spiralling debt .  If I did get a credit card it would not be used to fund luxury items like a new iPhone or paying for a holiday it be used only when money is tight and for only essential items although some of you out there would class a new iPhone and holiday as an essential item .And they would both be zeroed out when I got paid.

Middle of the week hopefully tonight will be more motivated its been hard the last couple of nights returning to work mundane does not cut it , fucking boring does I feel I am working to pay the bills to pay my taxes to buy food so I can go to work to continue on the same path .I need to rethink my life live differently make changes alter my outlook , see the good and the positive things that happens .

HAPPY 2019

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE HOPE 2019 ROCKS FOR ALL .

Well the decorations and Christmas tree are packed away for Christmas this year they will remain in their box until late November early December hopefully we are around to unpack them and see them once more . there will be some out there that won't set their  eyes on them again which is sad , some of us have had our last Christmas that's why it is important to always make it count .

Washed and waxed the car it as not had a proper clean for ages I think it was the dirtiest it has ever been back to looking new again .

Was he all of the vans windows should be good now for a couple of months .

watching season two of "Stranger Things" , I also watched the Netflix film " Bird box " which was ok stuck with it until the end did get a little boring .

Had a turkey roast dinner Helen did her roast potatoes again which was a hit on Boxing Day meal .

There was a few close friends and relatives  that did not make it to 2019 Helen's uncle Ken passed away  a friend graham who gave us the marine rocks for our fish tank , My Brother in law Alan , his father sadly passed away in December and of course my ex wife who passed the day after Boxing Day may you all rest in everlasting peace .
