ANOTHER RTA

I have got the next six days off , so no work until next Wednesday which suits me fine two three day week seems good to me .

Went around the back of the cottage this morning with the dog as i usually do every day when i received  a phone call from my son Guy who lives out York way , he told me that he came of his motor bike last night his friend was over taking him on a bend stupid i know and his friend went in to his bike causing him to wobble lay the bike down and come off , my son  has suffered numerous  injuries to his hip knee and neck .
 Although his bike a Suzuki Bandit was rideable after the crash it will still need a new petrol  tank windscreen and crash bars and other scratches and blemishes removing from other chrome and painted areas .
The worse thing is he will have to ring in sick to  work where he has only been employed for a few weeks which aint good , hopefully they will be understanding .

On the plus side he should get paid out for his injuries and hopefully receive a big  enough payout to buy the car that he wants which is a Mazda x5 convertible .He as also ripped his jacket jeans and lost his bike sat nav which are a lot dearer than a normal car mainly because the are all weather at the time of written this he is on the way to the A&E department.

This morning we went back to the Motorman cafe for a full English breakfast the rainbow below  appeared for a few minutes .

The blue light we got for the fish tank is not that blue will get a led one of ebay as soon as my wage goes into the bank at midnight tonight .

Tomorrow i am going to go and visit a showroom that sells camper vans they have various models also they will  convert your own base van.

Helen as numerous readings tonight in a pub in the next village a few miles over the moors from our cottage  she is nervous pubs are not always the best venues hopefully the sceptic drunks won't be in attendance .

PLANNING AHEAD

SUNDAY
Boring day got to go to Helen's parents house and set up their broadband they have opted for the post office as an isp not sure why maybe because its cheaper .Then i have to drop Helen off for two readings at six , i will have to hang around for two and a half hours whilst she is working .
Going to load a couple of films on to my iPad to watch whilst doing nothing , another option is to go for a pint to a pub near by or get a pizza to eat whilst parked up .Might even go down to Clarence dock for a walk around the canal basin .
Updated my iPad mini to the new iso 8 just waiting for the Yosmite release for my Mac book .

On the way over to Leeds stopped off at Marsdens chicken shack Helen had a chicken breast and I got three prices both with fries and bread cake mine with chive and sour cream Helens with mayo, that was the highlight of Sunday .

Tuesday
Hopefully I hve got Thursday and Friday off as annual leave along with Monday and Tuesday' .
Helen has a pub venue to do Thursday night not sure how many will turn up for readings , Friday might go to York , weekend is food and drink festival in our village.
Bought a new blue night light for the fish tank and a day light one nearly twenty five pounds scandalous.

MEAL WITH FRIENDS AND QUACK

FRIDAY.
Well we are still an United Kingdom a Great Britain wow we can keep the union jack and the nuclear submarines in the north the Scottish people have voted NO to be coming independent .
I have been granted annual leave for next week i have both Thursday and Friday off yippee shit i know but i am only working for time off and money nothing else .

Big queues for the I-phone six release thought i be bothered more than what i am ,  but looking at it it is not much difference apart from size to the 5s , and i am not sure i like the camera lens sticking out of the case but i do think a faster chip and more storage is a big plus.

SATURDAY,
Got up later than expected which is not a great start to the weekend , received another letter from my solicitor that is handling the car crash from last March , asking would i accept 75/25 percent in my favour worse case scenario is 50/50 so what ever the case just do it please  , and bring it to a close.

We drove over to Leeds to have dinner with some friends we have not seen for s year we went to their house like us the rent a property because they can't afford a mortgage their house is a lot bigger than our cottage we are going to be moving again as soon as possible . they cooked us a roast pork dinner with potatoes and veg it was very nice followed by chocolate cake and double cream , they have a king Charles spaniel which they have called Quack , imagine going to the park and shouting out Quack Quack .

On the way home stopped at the supermarket bought two lots of shampoo and conditioner mouthwash , shaving gel and shower gel and a under arm deodorant stick it came to nearly twenty quid .

LEAVE THE U.K

Bought some ox tongue English mustard and some fresh baked crusty bread rolls for my dinner Helen can't understand anyone eating ox tongue but i have always eaten it since being a boy i also enjoy black pudding which is another dish she will not eat , each to their own.

We bought three lottery tickets its a roll over on both the Euro and Lotto we also got  a scratch card that pays out a quarter of a million as a top price.
 Seeing as i can't earn the money we need i have got to try and win it , as i really  need to be able to quit work and buy a place to live in out right and to furnish it and decorate it how we wish .

I suppose we all have the same dream but fingers crossed we only need to win it once be job free mortgage free with money in the bank , will be able to sort out a load of other people we know who have or are having it rough ,England is becoming a third world country perhaps Scotland have a right to go it alone D-Day is tomorrow for the Scottish people to decide and vote  if Scotland becomes independent and leaves Great Britain  i hope they do .

FIFTY YEARS

Monday gone for another might book a couple of days off for my birthday next month think I will need to take three Thursday Friday and the Monday that way it will shorten two working weeks yippee .

My solicitor Holly who I have never meet or seen in person , seems to think the other side is going to offer a fifty fifty split  not sure if I am happy over this , but the likely hood  we could get the same result if it went to court , so I need to think about accepting it if that's what they are going to offer .

Wonder how long it will be before I see someone with a new iPhone 6 they are on release Friday , I might get a new case for my 5s .
There was a good programme on last night it was fifty years since the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show in America if there was one era I could go back and live in would be the 1960's.

BACK TO GRIND

Helen had four readings last night and it was after half past midnight when we got to bed , whilst Saturday
Helen was out working i returned home and i cooked myself chicken breast and Spanish chorizo done on bamboo skewers and cooked in the oven had the cooked kebabs in some wraps toasted in the toaster with Guatemala sauce and sour cream .

Sunday
This morning we was up early we went on to the moors at Marsden  and went to the Motorman's Cafe which was recommended to us by a neighbour  .The Cafe which is a converted house on the main road it was especially nicely cooked breakfast and the mushrooms was fresh and the bacon and sausages bought locally ,  i think we will be going again , but maybe not when its snowed.

Dropped 4 cd's of for last nights readings after Helen had burned them to disc , on the way back stopped of at the local Sainsburys and bought some pear cider my favourite brand Koppaberg .
Not doing much rest of day time to chillax Monday tomorrow back to shitty work worst day of the week not won the lottery so it'd back to the grind .

TEST DRIVE

Went to test drive a Mini Cooper automatic car and I ended up being blown away I was impressed with an automatic transmission I thought it would be sluggish but surprisingly it was the exact opposite and I was impressed both with the Mini Cooper and the fact I had no gears to change but if you need to you can change the gears by  using the gear stick if you want , these little cars have B.M.W engines .

GRANDAD

Gong to be a Grandad am I happy cause I am , highly delighted my Daughter is carrying a child , something I had a hand in creating has now created another life , it's quite astounding when I think of my parents giving me a life which I passed on giving my daughter a life , and now she as also giving birth to a new life it's another piece in the picture that is creation a miracle.

Latest buy of EBay a Bluetooth portable speaker costing seven pounds it's the size of a small tin of beans , and it is absolutely an astounding quality item both in sound and build.

END OF A ERA

Watched some of the Apple event today on my  iPhone whilst i was at work was connecting using 4g so the buffering was good . I was impressed with the new Apple watch looks good as any Apple product  not sure of the price or the full range of apps  but it looked better than most of the other smart watches , the build look and quality was what you would expect , i was also impressed with U2 giving away there new album via iTunes store for a free download for all registered iTunes subscribers if you do not use iTunes you can register until mid October to be able to download the full album for free.
Not sure about the iPhone six yes its bigger but the camera i dint think has been upgraded the battery gives you longer usage but its not a big style difference.
i expected a new Apple tv i did not hear it mentioned and no improved iPads so maybe that will be breaking soon. On a minus note Apple have took the iPod classic of the online store which is a shame hopefully it will still be on sale for some time to come in stores and other retail outlets.

MONDAYS HERE AGAIN

Just been out with my dog Pip it,s not a very nice start to the week .In fact it's a grey depressing day I crave the sun like some people crave rain in very arid and dry counties.

Looking forward to the Apple event tomorrow hopefully their site will be down for updating .The hype and speculation about the launch of new products has seem to have gone on forever and to be honest I think everyone just want closure and to see what's new , I want to see if there is a new iPod and a new Apple TV .As well as the Yosemite release , not too sure about the I- watch would depend on its design size and overall function.

The Toyota Aygo I have been looking at the overall specs and they are all 1.0 litre engine size which is no good for where we live , as they are way too many steep hills and lanes there just  won't be enough torque or power to get up them with out the engine dying half way up , so it's back to the drawing board to have a re-think.

I have received a letter from my solicitor Holly regarding the crash that we was in last March  driving home from work , the other party are now saying that  I drove in to them Christ how when I was overtaking you and you turned in to us because you wanted to exit on to a slip road , and you was more focused on that than looking in your mirrors , so that's still on going , I have been asked if there is any day that  I can't attend court in the next twelve months , so that won't be settled for a while yet..

Helen has gone to do some readings at her friends shop in Pudsey Leeds  , i dropped her off just before half past nine  then drove back home its nearly a hours drive  each way depending on traffic and traffic lights etc so that's four hours of my weekend behind a steering wheel , plus the cost of the fuel , its rainy and grey so not a very good day for doing much more. 

 .

i have the following new films to watch "Chef " , "The Rover " and "The Captive " as well as "Plastic " and  "Last Vegas".

I stopped at the supermarket and bought two chicken kathi wraps they are absolute gorgeous with sour cream on top i bought a big packet of Rice Krispies and some cat food as well as beans and bread and some milk .


After picking Helen up form her readings we drove back home then went to Compo's fish restaurant in Holmfirth near to our cottage  , but instead of having fish which i normally have, as  i had fish Friday supper ,  i ordered the steak and onion pie with  chips and Baked  beans it was home made and made a nice change to having fish i will have it the next time i go too.Helen had scampi and salad and chips .


Watched "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" what an exceptional film i truly loved it i thought it was on of the nicest films i have seen i would recommend if you have not seen it then watch it.

Sunday
Went to Yummy Yorkshire its a cafe and ice cream parlour i had plum and marzipan and coconut mascaponni , Helen had chocolate with sea salt and vanilla she did not like the chocolate and sea salt because it was too salty .
Went to look at some new Toyota Aygo's for the price they seem good little cars with five years warranty and nearly 80 mpg and no road tax and only group two insurance .

Erin Helen's friend came and we all went out for dinner for a carvery to the Fox Inn we all had gammon , somehow Helen manage to pay for four dinners when only three of us were eating luckily she realised half way through the meal ,  she got a refund when she went back to see the person who took her money without any arguments .

GOING NOWHERE YET

The kitten went for his final injection and won't need another for at least another year although he is still showing signs of the cat flu virus .

The case for my I-phone 5s arrived there is only one draw back you can't use the finger print unlock button as it is covered over with a rubber seal , whether this will bug me  enough to remove the case it is in two halves and is fixed together using six bolts that fix into place with a Allen key that is provided .
All i am now waiting for is the case for my I-pad which should arrive in today's post  hopefully before i leave for work at noon  .

I called my solicitor regarding the RTA that we was in last March she is sending me some paperwork to sign to proceed with the claim so it is still ongoing .

I renewed the car insurance for the car me and Helen use its her car and because of my three points on my license for breaking a thirty mile an hour speed limit by four miles per hour it has increased by  only £20 i can live with that i is unlikely i will occur any more fines touch wood.

The couples wedding we went to are now sunning themselves in Mexico my sister is sunny herself in Spain my Daughter and Son recently arrived back from Greece once again i have travelled nowhere which is starting to annoy me mainly its due to lack of funds one reason i want the compensation sorting out so i can hopefully if i goes my way book a holiday .

WEDDING

Was at the hairdressers just after nine went back to the Mensroom was nine quid well spent got home and jumped straight into the shower , Helen was out on a driving lesson.

From Ebay i have ordered a iphone 5s black metal case . a ipad mini case in black leather   and a iPhone 5s car mount for the dashboard or windscreen see which comes first they was all ordered and paid for with in five minutes of each other.

Saturday
Drove over to St,Wilfred's church at Calverley for a wedding ceremony between Louise and Will she kept the groom waiting over  forty minutes before she turned up to the church to walk down the aisle to her groom they exchange vows and rings and was pronounced Husband and Wife the proceedings was carried out by a female priest , we all left the church and drove to Bingley to the Oak Wood Hall Hotel for the wedding reception and evening disc and buffet ,

Sunday
We went over to pick my son up Guy thus time we got the bus into the centre of York and once again we headed to the Punch clock for dinner we all decided to get the lamb shank this time with two Yorkshire puddings each i also got two bottles of pear cider and ice  Helen had tea , the meal was spot on and extremely good value , later on we called in to one of the most haunted public houses in York the Golden Fleece , a film crew for the series "Most Haunted" stayed over night and filmed their visit the inn dates back to 1503 .

Saw a watch in one of the shops in the Shambles seeing i have lost my Fossil watch , hopefully its in the cottage hiding and one day will reappear until then i would like to buy the watch shown below it is nearly £350 compared to a Tag Heuer its a fraction of the cost but looks as  expensive to the untrained eye .

Monday
The iPhone car mount was the first item i received from Ebay hopefully the phone case and iPad case will arrive tomorrow , i was up at six o clock this morning to attend a full days training as a result i went home after it finished at half past four and went home , so that's Monday out of the way and no late finish for one night this week at least my son called me tonight to tell me that he has been offered a full time job hopefully it will last , as  he is wanting to buy a silver MK1 Mazda x5 convertible a twenty year old classic car that has only done 60,000 miles and was built in Japan.

DRAGGING

To say Monday was a Bank holiday and i did not work it this week has fcuking dragged which really takes the biscuit really would love a job i love doing in stead of the one i am in .

On a better note we have a wedding to go to this Saturday we are invited to the church to witness the Bride and Groom tie the knot , its the first wedding i have been to since i attended  mine , so that should be a good day out.

Alfie our little ginger Tom cat is suffering with breathing problems he is very wheezy and although he is eating drinking and running around yesterday he just snuggled up on the sofa next to Helen , we have been told by the vet he can take time to get over his bout of cat flu but it is well over three months , the little one must be totally miffed off bless him.

I am getting to eat more hot food wraps rather than cooking a big meal when i come in i am just having a wrap last night i had chicken mushrooms and onion with sour cream its done in ten minutes and extremely nice and 8 wraps for 75p is very good value usually with a months best before date which means i can buy a few in at once .

Still waiting for my payout not sure what is happening will give it another week before ringing them least it is payday this Friday i need to get my haircut and need to buy a leather belt and some loafers if i have time , before Saturday.

Helen did a reading yesterday and had another driving lesson in the automatic car looks like she is sticking with having no gear change which is ok if she passes her test she won't be able to use a stick shift but will still have the freedom that comes with having a car.

Hopefully we are meeting up with my son again this coming Sunday and the weather forecast is for some sun fingers crossed .

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY BLUES

Tomorrow Tuesday is my last day off work , in one day i am going back to work , well all good things must come to end , why i don't know but apparently that's the way it goes seeing that we have not won the lottery.

Went food shopping today bought some Mexican burgers and tortilla wraps and some fresh chicken pork and fish , yesterday we went shopping at Meadow Hall , i looked at some Bose headphones , bought two dress shirts and a pair of trousers for a wedding that we are going to this Saturday , i saw some great leather and suede  loafers i use to have three pairs when i was in my twenties but have never thought  about buying anymore , now i want some i forgot how great they look either with trousers or with jeans plus i don't have to mess with laces .

The weather this bank holiday again  is wet and grey just like i feel , at least its one day less i have to work until its the weekend next bank holiday is Christmas .

I am even getting bored with the Internet and watching films i am also getting sick of listening to the same music i need something different but finding something unique vibrant and different to my normal playlist is difficult i have been listening to music all my life and its all the same like life at the moment in need of change . I have started reading more which is a good thing .

NEW FISH AND INDIANS

The cat and dog are getting on great together if anything the cat is more a bully than the dog and its a quarter the size of the dog.

My Daughter is now in Greece in Lindos on Rhodes island she as also gone for a week .
I wish i was jetting off to a Greek island summer seems to be almost over for this year a depressing thought indeed.

I will more than likely be returning to work Monday which will be a slog but inevitable after two weeks on sick my return is looming .

Still waiting for my payout from the RTA we was in last March i might need to get some new wheels of my own , Helen is taking driving lessons again after a few months off , she has a new instructor and is learning in an automatic transmission car which means she will trade in her Suzuki Swift which is manual transmission which in turn means i will need a motor of my own to get me to work and back as i can't get to work any other way .

Bought another dozen fish for the tank along with a new air stone some plants and a new filter we cleaned the tank out this morning and decided to add more fish mainly because we only had three left and the pleco .

Just remembered that this coming Monday is a bank holiday in the U.K so i will not be going back until Tuesday.

IN GENERAL

Helen had another two readings last night i have been off work all week and not looking to going back on Monday  , basically i don't want to work there anymore its totally depressing the amount of work we have to do and we are more of a managerial role than a supervisors and for the money they pay they are taking the piss.

My Son made it home safe from Greece sound like he had a wicked week he hired a quad bike for the week so covered most of the island we are meeting up with him today , will pick him up and head over to York its dull grey and wet as i write this think summer is over the good weather gone until next year sad thought .

Finally watched the last episodes of Breaking Bad it has taken a while and i was up until two in the morning watching the last one on Netflix on my I-pad , i thought the twists and turns in the last few episodes was compelling going to miss it bitch.

Have loads of books to read on my iPad James Patterson , Vince Flynn , Andy McNab ,  and Richard Montanari , have decided to do more reading .

Went over to York with my son we went to the Punch Bowl that has been a inn since the 1600's and is allegedly haunted all the times that i have been to York and been in the Shambles i have to my knowledge never been here before we all had dinned and we all ordered the same lamb shank roast with veg but no mash.

The purple man is still riding his bike thought he might have gone yellow for the Tour De France .

WORSE THAN

Thought i had linked my Nectar card to my gas and electric payments i make each month for some reason i was not receiving points i phoned them up and hopefully my points will be back dated to April this will show on my account within the next few days end of the day my supermarket shopping  and petrol fill ups are all rewarding my account with points and it all adds up , not to a life changing amount but it all helps in times of need,

Still watching Breaking Bad watched another two episodes seven left to watch by the end of the week hopefully i will have watched the final one .
I have downloaded all the ost from Breaking Bad  from each season  , so i have the music now on my iPad minis hd to listen to at my leisure.

The cat loves jumping on to and in to things specially once your back is turned it is worse than having a small child , worse than having two small children  , and he constantly torments the dog whom is exceptionally tolerant

THIS WEEK UPTO NOW

Sunday
Did not get up until twenty to ten this morning , it was nearly half one Sunday morning that i got home after picking Helen up after she had finished doing her readings.
The weather is dull and raining we was going to go to the coast again this time to Whitby but it is regatta weekend and with the weather  being what it is be a waste of petrol
We went out for dinner to the Fountain Inn at Ingbirchworth  it has been refurbished since our last visit and it seemed the food had also been refurbished from the last time we was there six months ago if not longer  the mash was cold the belly pork was tuff and the roast potatoes reheated all in all a 4 out of ten I should have finished with the starter which was chilli nachos which where ok anyway our friend Charlie paid he was not impressed as well .

Monday
Did not go to work had i have lower back pain but  hopefully a few days off will help , what i don't want is for it to get any worse so a few days off work won't make it any worse will it .
The kitten Alfie went for his first vaccine and Pip our Jack Russell went for her booster jab as well as both receiving a flea treatment , they both got matching red collars to boot , the kitten never flinched at the needle going in i don't think he even realised , Pip squealed she had to have two she squealed twice bless we bought her a pigs ear out of guilt for making her cry.

Tuesday
Got to see my Daughter Tuesday she looked well she is taking great care of Harvey i suppose its no longer our cat its hers now , it  be wrong for her now not to have him.

Wednesday
Had a full English breakfast and fish and chips for tea caught up with some episodes of Breaking Bad season 5 .

LAST FEW DAYS

Some times doing stuff on a Mac is a lot more complex than using temperamental Windows specially sometimes when i am using I-tunes all i am trying to do is  remove movies from the library well i am finding it impossible i can uncheck or check to add them to my device but i can't manage to delete them out of the library frustrating , and drop down boxes that are on the top are all  greyed out more frustration , another irritation is converting wma to mp3 because I- tunes won't play them  , and the fact it won't let me store items on my 1tb external hard drive that i used as a windows drive unless i format it then lose everything on not fcuking viable.

On my I-pad mini i can't run Utorrent and on blogger i can't add photos unless i download the blogger app and pinch and zoom won't work on Facebook either but   i could do both of these simple things on my Nexus 7 so i guess i need to invest in a Nexus 7 and a cheap windows laptop.

The cat is driving Helen mad nice kitty and the dog i tolerate it and love it i can't stop that when i pick it up i inconstantly kiss it until it gets feed up its so cute and ginger its a little love and it is still wheezy from the cat flu it had when we got him his eyes and nose are no longer running but his breathing is not great he is still full of life eating and drinking and playful.

I have had an offer of compensation for the accident not sure when it will get settled and they are still not admitting liability so why make me an offer its baffling me i do understand legal jargon and terms just put it in plain English like here's the amount if you want to cash in sign here simple as.

The weather is still looking good although we have had some rain but on the hold its still great weather i would like another Barbecue this weekend if at tall possible.

Not heard anything from my Son in Kos but i was not expecting to hopefully he will fall in love with Greece and with traveling and he will eventually go back in future years.

Saturday
Took my Mac to the genius bar at Trinity in Leeds it was booked in for half past two they run various tests and they all passed but they kept it for an hour whilst the adjusted the track pad .
while they did this we went to the Giraffe on the upper level and had lunch i had a steak sandwich with fries Helen had a brunch which is basically breakfast in the afternoon still the food was excellent  and it passed on a hour whilst we waited for my mac book was been readjusted i won't say repaired because it seem to be working fine anyway as always i was happy with the service from Apple .
