PAYDAY THANK YOU

Discovered the master penman Jake Weidmann he is one of only twelve or eleven masters in this art form and he is absolutely awesome at what he does  i be happy with one 20th of his skill saying that he is more likely 100% committed to what he does and of course practices and practices i wish i could have been that committed to something when i was younger unfortunately i wasn't .

I am now committed to making what we have here more of a home we will eventually have the money to buy and do the things we want to do , so far everyone who has seen our van love it including my daughter and sisters and Helen's Mother and Father .

There is now more park homes or static homes in England then ever but it is only a few of us living this way compared to America , so it is kind of a novelty way of living its amazing how many people once you tell them of your life choice think we live in a caravan and do not realise we are connected to the water and gas and sewage that we have broadband and cable tv , and that we have all modern conveniences and lack for nothing that a house provides.

Phoned the tax office I was on hold waiting for an advisor for forty minutes to speak with someone what took only five minutes , the outcome was they received my tax rebate form which is nice to know and it should be sorted within the next fortnight , for how much I get I do not know . Hopefully it's four figures .

It's Wednesday mid week it's also payday midnight tonight thank you , which can't come too soon the amount I have to pay out is not good roll on November will have a extra £500 a month it seems way off one reason I need a cheque from the taxman..

I really need a ladder to clean out the guttering on the van i have nearly eighty foot of guttering to clean out in parts we have plants sprouting up which need removing .

I have done very little this week one thing i have done is joined the company shop , and i have had an email to tell me that i can go pick my membership card up in store sometime  in the next twenty eight days.
its suppose to be very cheap food and drink but as i have not been i don't know exactly what brands are available and what is the actual  cost .

OIL CAN AND GREASE

Going to be skint paying my sister the money back i borrowed is leaving me very little free money from my wages , until the end of this November .Last month was ok because i had less direct debits coming out but least its only another three months of struggling and i should be getting some tax back.

Helen put more seed down on top of the grass already sown ever time she throws seed down the heavens open up and we get a down poor unbelievable a few days later we planted a bag of some 25 tulip bulbs ,  it poured down thunder storms with in half an hour of the bulbs going in .
But as the picture below its not really done it much harm its grown incredibly fast and some seeds will take longer to establish .

SATURDAY.
Picked my son up from his cottage in Skirpenbeck and drove him to Leeds to pick his car his Vauxhall Corsa Vxr up its been there four weeks getting a head casket and pistons done when we got there it had a massive crack in the windscreen he was not happy he needs a new one fitting he drove home and will have to sort it out Monday , at least he know as his motor back .

In the Afternoon my Daughter called to visit us with my Grandson Jensen she liked our van and thinks like everyone else who has visited us that it was money well spent and a great investment it will do me until we win the lottery .

Went to Ikea bought a ivy plant and hanging canister along with some batteries it was mainly to get out bought some of the pear cider they sell own brand it is quite good as was the first ever pear cider i bought  , we also stopped at the supermarket bought some Indian nan breads loaded with chicken and peppers and curry sauce.

On the way back home we stopped of at McDonald's prefer Burger King got a cheese burger was ok .
The picture is the actual McDonald's we visited it was about half past nine it was quite dark we dined in the car .

SUNDAY
Went to the Oil Can Canteen for breakfast with the couple who live opposite to us although w lived in Holmfirth for two years it was the first time we have eaten there , they have some very old cars for sale a couple of Bristol's Liam or noel Gallagher owns own and he couldn't even drive .
It was not the best breakfast although it was very edible and very filling and all the food is locally sourced ,  i got the mechanics breakfast which is two of everything with beans  and mushrooms and toast .it is all very nostalgic and retro they even have shops that sells antiques clothes had a very loud shirt with colourful guitars covering it and unusual items they have a book i will go back and buy when i get paid on caravans one for the coffee table.

So this weekend is almost over its dark and wet and another four hours it will be Monday start of another week , this week ain't been bad hoping next week is a bit better as long as it is not any worse at least its payday Wednesday and who knows i might get a cheque from the taxman.

GRASSED UP

We have green stuff coming through the earth it is very patchy at the moment but grass as appeared in just under seven days yippee. The following day there was even more grass spreading across the lawn and it was growing in height the other area we seeded is also coming through so its looking good .

We have also got our sunflowers appearing this happened overnight its amazing how things grow with a bit of rain and sun . Helen planted the seeds for these flowers late but the have bloomed.

Well Thursday is here two more days at work then its the weekend i doubt we will be doing much my daughter should be visiting us on Saturday afternoon with my Grandson .

NO MORE GARDENING

Went back to work yesterday all i can say is i preferred the drive home rather than the drive there.
Already looking forward to the weekend and thinking about booking more time of at the end of September .

I really love living in the can and i do miss it when i am not there specially on a sunny day sitting on the decking drinking coffee whilst on my iPad or just sat watching Pip and George getting up to mischief.

There is grass growing but it is in the top soil in the borders which we got when we was swapping soil for pea gravel , the vest area rest we have seeded or sown what ever the technical term is , absolutely grass free fcuking typical , i guess the amount of seed Helen throw down it should be Sherwood forest out there .

I don't know when we are planting the vegetable plot or what we are growing i guess potatoes and carrots will be somewhere near the top of list i like to grow some strawberries but it always seem you never get that many of a plant so it seems pointless waste of soil.

When i have  the money i will buy a two seater swing chair for the garden along with  a Mexican chiminea or maybe even a  fire pit . at the moment we do have a log burner  i also i want to get some railway sleepers and a decent quality pond liner to build a fish pond to house water plants and  lilies and a few fish but i  think that will be a project for next year .

Essential items on the list is a chest freezer and tumble dyer we cant be drying wet clothes inside .
I also want to change the linoleum in the kitchen dining area from the wood block effect that is down now to either a grey slate or Yorkshire stone , and to change the light fitting that is currently hanging down in the living area to something more modern with less bulbs .I hate over light bright rooms its my pet hate along with drawn bedroom curtains i like to see the night outside and mornings first light who needs curtains not i.

FROM WEEDS TO HERB

Went to Sainsbury's bought two chicken Kathi wraps for dinner , we bought more grass seed for another patch of soil that we want green .
Helen has another reading tonight so far she has had one every night and another two booked in tomorrow in Leeds.

I go back to work Monday which is pissing me off already and I have still three days off .
Helen wants to go to Meadow Hall Sheffield least its driving rather than gardening so i am happy .
We sowed the grass seed it really was overkill the  amount of seed that went down trouble is the day after it rained torrential and the water butt tap was left open so all the water that should have been contained in the plastic butt ended up going all over the soil and seed which is not what we wanted to happen. The best thing to do is leave it and see what comes through and reseed it later .
We have gone out and bought a water butt that will hold 250 litres it is now connected to the other water butt via a pipe we should be able to contain all future down pours.

SATURDAY.
Helen took some jeans back to Next and with the refund got a hanging pendant  light fitting  to go over the dining table , it looks a bit like a giant jam jar with the bottom open we also bought a  halogen bulb and glitter cover for it , i wired it up when i got home after turning the electric off before disconnecting and connecting wires , it puts out quite a bit of light .
Also bought a plaque with the words "And They Lived Happy Ever After " printed on it in italic writing .I also put that up when i got home .

SUNDAY
Boring i know but i dug out old plants and weeds and nettles and ,  things with thorns on the stems which always seem to grasp on to your jeans all this effect and scratches  is to get the soil ready  to make way for our very own  veggie garden . So we can do a bit of  home grown we have already got some herbs growing .

Its back to work tomorrow for a well deserved rest i won't be doing much , as  i will have about three hundred emails to get through , and i am a slow reader .

GRASS , WEED FREE.

Quality  grass seed is so expensive weed free guaranteed we bought enough to do 150m square the amount we sowed should keep Wimbledon tennis courts and Wembley green for the next few years .
Helen reckons we will see growth in the next six days ,  i am less optimistic i think it will be in weeks rather than days but time will tell who is right .What we need is rain and sun.

Be Thursday tomorrow all down hill until work on Monday be here before i know it , its like having a long weekend off , i did the lottery today if i don't do it i have no chance of packing work in .

Went to the local council tip i had some paving slabs and Yorkshire stone to take it took three trips i did not want to over load the car the tip is only fifteen minutes drive away but its a hour and half out of the day.

So far this two weeks i have either been shovelling , digging or raking either soil ,  muck or gravel i have had enough of wheel barrows picks and spades. Now all i want to do now is to water the plants , shrubs and bushes and if i am lucky to mower  the grass and hopefully my gardening days are now over .

George our Tom cat is settled in he is out most of the night he was terrorising next doors birds their cage was hanging in the garden and George was in hunting mode .

Pip our Jack Russell as also settled in she is out sunbathing most days she is a proper lazy gal .

THE LAST SHOVEL

SATURDAY
Spent a good part of the afternoon loading the gravel on to the trailer over the road opposite to us i reckon i have a good third of it shifted i showered i ache across my shoulders i am not use to manual work anymore .

Went to a local Inn The Sun for eats with Charlie and Erin first they had no steak then they forgot to cook my dinner i ordered the same as Helen Fish then they made a mess of the deserts even the chef said he id not expect us to eat them as they where poor quality , so why send them to the table but we had a laugh regardless and did not suffer food poisoning and it was only five minutes up the road might go there for drinks again won't be going back for the food .

SUNDAY
Moved the last of the pea gravel i lost count of the shovels and the wheel barrows all i know is its all off our garden some of it or most  is in the trailer parked up across the road the other barrow loads on a neigh-boughs drive as requested .

We had full English breakfast cooked for us by Helen , Erin stayed the night seeing that we have an extra bedroom in the can .
Helen's Mum and Dad called over we took took them to the Strines Inn we had giant Yorkshire pudding filled with roast beef and veg washed down by a pint of apple cider .

MONDAY
My second week off the first week went fairly slow but the second week will fly by and i will be back at work in a blink of a eye .

We are getting three ton of top soil on Wednesday our friend Charlie is bringing it over for us on his trailer then all we need is the grass seed the sun and rain for our new green lawn hopefully .

The can is still great we enjoy it immensely we have been sitting on the decking for our breakfast and through out the day and evening , and we love living here it is our home and just because it is not bricks and mortar makes no difference to us at all.

Tomorrow i will wash all the windows with the hose and  mop that will take a good half hour i still need to clean the gutters out but this is not possible until i have a ladder to work of.

ANOTHER WEEK PENDING

There is an Asda supermarket pretty close to where we live we have not been midnight shopping in ages and went the other night its a great time to shop less traffic loads of parking spaces less people out its a great time to go out and buy goodies then going home and unpacking it all .

Still waiting for the inland revenue to get in touch regarding the money they owe me due to over payment of tax i guess it will take another few weeks .

I had to get two new rear tyres the ones i have on are barely road legal i got two part worn Pirelli's  for £30 each which was a really good buy they look like new ,cant risk getting a fine its a max of £1000 a tyre or worst a accident ,  whilst i was out i thought i would also get my hair cut in Holmfirth at the Men's room   ,
Bought six solar powered orbs for the garden Helen also bought some more plants and frees for the garden .

I started to load the trailer which is made from the chassis from a caravan and it is hitched to a V8 Landrover Defender .
I did around t thirty wheel barrow loads  before i had enough it was seven o clock and the trailer is now  about a third full and i was loading it for around three hours . i don't think that we will fit all the remaining pea gravel in to the remaining space on the trailer  .

First week leave is just about done i have another week off before i return to work the sun was out and it was quite warm  today hopefully we will get hotter weather next week , i want to go to Yorkshire Sculpture park son=me time next week which is only about a ten minute drive away .

SHOVEL , BARROW AND LIGHTS

I need to buy a hacksaw and a socket set i also need a ladder i will get them all off Ebay when i have the funds.I also need a hard point panel saw and a hard point tenon saw which i bought today ,  i gave all these items away thinking i would have no use if i was renting property the rest of my life there be no need .

Now i have my own house  be it a static home there is still work that needs to be done which can only be done with the right tools .

We went to Leeds today to the Trinity centre to take Helen's I-watch back they gave her a new watch no questions asked as always .

I have someone who wants our pea gravel they brought a trailer round for me to fill up i reckon i have at least six ton of the fcuking stuff to move and i reckon there is around ten wheel barrows to the ton so i ain't doing it in half a day . I think i have three days to load it up .

I have dug out more of the garden for flower beds and i have moved the arch to the end of the path we have also got some more solar powered lights so all in all i have been working harder than what i do at work and when i do go back the week after next it will be for a fcuking rest.

LEAKED

MONDAY

Both my sister's called yesterday they both loved our new home and was happy i am living rent and mortgage free.

First day off on my two week holiday
Got most of the border dug out  and have started the planting we need a little bit more wooden edging to finish of the main front edging , one of the neigh boughs opposite Ken is trading us top soil for pea gravel which is a fair exchange we have already had to mix in 550 litres of compost , and i have added  around six wheel barrows of top soil , the same Ken also lent me his pressure washer and i manage to do  all of the concrete base our home sits on and most of it came up like new i might have to go over it again tomorrow just to remove some grim dirt patches that  i did not get the first time round .All this gardening is back breaking work and to be honest  i ache all over i use to be a joiner but have not  don't any physical work for ages .

TUESDAY
Keep waking up early took the dog out to the wheat fields for her morning walk George our ginger tom cat had been out all night and was waiting by the door when i opened it .

We had water coming from under our static home i thought it might be coming from the kitchen sink so i took the panel off under the kitchen window as we are all boxed in on all sides .

I needed to borrow a ratchet wrench and a 8mm socket  to remove the bolts eight for the metal sheet so i physically get could get under to see what was leaking , when i ran the water it was leaking the pipe ran all way under to the opposite side ,  i had to remove the opposite side panel some how the pipe and fitting had separated and all i had to do was reconnect the push fittings and  run the water leak fixed i also tied it up using tie wraps to the steel  framing the underside of the house looked really tip top condition because we are raised of the ground the water posed no threat but because it was the sink drain it did smell hopefully it will dry out ok.

everyone who as visited  us loves the layout and the space we have compared to the room we had at the cottage that we lived in for two years we have loads of out door space which is a massive bonus , we are surrounded by oak trees which are great apart from the leaves that drop we also have squirrels running over roofs fences and up and down the acorn trees .

George sitting on top of our fence

HAVING A DIG

Last day at work i am off for a whole sixteen days and i cant wait i am going to chill out and do nothing much maybe some painting a little bit of gardening , walking the dog and some exploring other than that nowt.
TFIF and it's sunny its the best day so far this week i was digging over the garden and the sun was hot  i was sweating .

It's great being back online i have set up a standing order on Internet banking for my monthly ground rent so all the bill payments come out on the first of every month then whats left is mine to spend on food and other essential items like pear cider and food , and of course petrol or gas to work.

SATURDAY
Spent the first half hour paying bills and setting up standing orders that i did not do yesterday seeing as it was the first day in the month . I also paid the first £500 to my sister which means that there is only four more payments to go until my wage is mine which will be just in time for Christmas .

As of yet i have not heard anything from the taxman concerning my rebate which would help me purchase a few things for the home that i saw in the supermarket today a cutlery set i have been looking for a real heavy weight set and i seem to have found it which is a godsend .

Been hard at it in the garden yet again been having a dig and rake for removing stones and rocks from the area that we have designated as a flower and planting area its around twenty five foot long and a few feet wide with the corners at forty five degrees  it as took a lot of digging to get it half decent and 250 litres of compost which might go to another 125 litres to finish it off.

ONLINE AGAIN

Decided i hate gardening i have been digging over the borders that Helen marked out and it is hard work like blisters and back ache hard work .
I love flowers and grasses and i don't mind watering them i want to have a wild meadow garden that's natural with no predetermine pattern no neat rows just a wild mixture of various seeds.
I have already got some wild poppy seeds from what was growing in the cornfield i need to dry them out .

Two days at work then sixteen days off work and i cant wait might paint the out building that is concrete blocks with cream coloured masonry paint , i also need to clean the gutters out as the are full of twigs and leaves , will also need to empty the water butts.
I have five bottles of pear Koppaberg in the fridge which i have not touched i am saving them for my days off .

We now have the Internet back on as well as our phone land line it was supposed to be yesterday but it was a day late , or a few hours late as it was on early this morning  , don't think i could permanently be off line .Our connection seems slower but hopefully this will improve as we only went live today.

I hope the weather changes for the following two weeks if it is anything like this morning it is going to be a washout the photo below shows our great British summertime ,

GEORGE GOES OUT

Already found a nice walk passing a very pretty sight of wild red poppies in a field of golden wheat across this field and on a bit further i have been told you turn right and come to a canal i will go further tomorrow if it is fine .

A view of Emley moor tv mast , it is a landmark that can be seen for miles and is visible from Holmfirth where we lived of course at night it as red lights that makes it as visible in the night than in the day  I was not as near as the photo suggests i zoomed in on my iPhone .

Received the amplifier i bought of eBay i collected it yesterday when we went to the cottage to clean although i did change my address on eBay , they resent it to the old address luckily i was there to collect it .

Bought a new longer shower hose for the shower in our bathroom it is metal rather than plastic we was contemplating getting a new shower head but decided to wait .
George has gone out for the first time we let him out late afternoon it was raining we hope he returns safely fingers crossed he does not stray too far. Pip is being a mother hen and is constantly looking out of the widow for his safe return .

WEEK ONE

I really do like living in the Can there is a joy of freedom and  it is way  better than I ever thought it would be , also  its very spacious we have plenty of room and it is easy to keep clean and its all ideally laid out and it's all on the one level .

The decking is big enough although i have to admit if was putting the decking on to the side i would have done it another two yards longer , but like the rest of the dwelling it is more than adequate .

We have loads of outdoor plants with room for loads more for shrubs bushes and other flowers i would like a bit doing in the style of a meadow garden and i would like  a better arch way than the one we have now but that's not a major rush .

I would honestly recommend this type of dwelling to anyone there is no real drawbacks who can add on porches conservatory extensions just like a regular dwelling including greenhouses sheds ponds and garages even famous people have them .

All in all we are settled our belongings are all  housed if not exactly placed and we left really nothing behind this time we moved home  not like last time when  we left a fridge freezer , clothes dryers , two leather sofas a  pressure washer which would have been handy here and a expensive garden house ,  plus wrought iron garden furniture and some quite expensive plants ,but  this time it was all moved and transported to our new abode.

it has been a week and we have done so much we went back to the cottage today to clean it that is the last time we will set foot in the place we left the keys in the mail box .

SO FAR

It takes me half a hour to drive to and from work , I use the M1 motorway for most of the way they are installing a smart motorway and the speed limit is capped at fifty , I can quite happy live with a 30 minute drive . It used to take thirty minutes messing around , with catching buses to work when I lived in Leeds.

George our cat was locked in our bedroom whilst we had the door open , so he couldn't exit the Can as we don't want to let him out until he is settled in his surroundings , We left him longer than we should as we found a damp patch on the bedding which was nothing to do with me  ,  he had wee'd on the bed which included the throw , duvet cover , and duvet , we slept in the spare bedroom until the washed duvet dries.

I am working the rest of this week and then next week then I have two weeks annual leave we hope to have a barbecue.

I have sent my application form to the Inland Revenue and Customs for a tax rebate as I paid 18k tax when I got my money through , which hopefully was two and a half grand too much fingers crossed  it's for more but anything back would be greatly appreciated , it is coming via a cheque, I will buy a chest freezer and dryer or at least the clothes dryer.

New things bought for the Can and its grounds , a 15m hose pipe and connector to extend the original hose pipe  it now goes completely around the Can which is 38 foot by 12 foot .
Garden spade hand trowel and fork , table runner and chair for the dining table , somebody battery operated l.e.d lights for the twigs inside and some solar powered lights for the bush in the garden .
Some bird feeders nuts and fat balls and a couple of plants .
Need our log burner from Helens Dads garage bringing over and a couple of sun loungers and a nice fire pit at some stage we like a pond either with goldfish in or just with plants and a fountain .

Really need for the phone and Internet connecting on the coming 29th it's hard tethering when it's a weak signal on my phone.

IN AND SETTLED

Saturday was hectic we got the horse box to move our belongings thanks to our good friend Charlie.
All of the remaining items went into the back of the horse transporter it took just over a hour I disassembled the bed and wardrobes we left Pip and George in the cottage which was stressing for them with us and our belongings gone .
It all went smoothly after just under a hour our furniture and stuff was in the Can we just needed to sort and place stuff where we wanted them.
Erin helped us we finished early evening and went to the Sovereign inn for food and drink .

SUNDAY
Went to
PC World  bought a 2 meter ariel lead for the TV , we now have channels to view no internet using iPhone as a hotspot.
Helens  parents visited us they were both impressed with what we have bought they now want a Can of there own.
The central heating works fine , the washing machine runs silent and  there is more than enough electric sockets and the shower is powerful the cat and dog have settled in fine George is confined to barracks for the time being.
All in all we are happy we have the hanging baskets up bird feeders hanging and Ethel my gargoyle sat on the decking. So we are in , up and running and are here to stay .

TWO NIGHTS

Well only two more nights in the cottage two more nights in Holmfirth .I am going to miss the street and the people and the beautiful landscape and reservoirs , will miss driving over to Uppermill and dining at the Limekiln for breakfast although its that good i cant see use never going there again , and of course we will definitely  be going to Compo,s again for fish and chips because they are that good We still need to visit the vine yard and cider making factory which are both located in Holmfirth they are both  still on the list for things to do , and of course we will be coming back to visit friends we have made in the two years we have been here.

We went over to the Can with more belongings this morning i made another two trips before going to work we now have more stuff in the can then we do have in the cottage , i also took insurance out to cover building and contents , so we won't be left homeless should any disaster fall.

We both want it to be Saturday and to have all our stuff moved in unpacked and to spend time chilling we also need to explore our new surrounding and find out about things near by .

The photo was taken last Sunday evening on a walk not far from where we live .

STILL MOVING

We went over to the Can and moved all the furniture that was left behind which included a sofa bed and two reclining chairs that did not match plus a coffee table and a dining table and four dining chairs , they was being collected by a charity shop Sue Ryder's , we also put out a single bed for collection .

We did some more cleaning it was rushed because i was back at work and had to be back at the cottage to get changed and shaved , we have done ok over the last couple of days and the Can is looking 100% better than what it did on Tuesday when we took ownership.

Saturday we move in proper fingers crossed when George cat our and Pip our dog are there with us then we will be moved in for good and left the cottage for good .

The broadband an phone will be on no sooner than the 29th of July fingers crossed its no later.

The kitchen is looking good the washing machine and cooker fridge and freezer was included in the sale  , the rest is our stuff .

OWN IT

MONDAY.

Don't have to go to my own bank for a bankers draught , i can go to any branch which has saved me time and the hassle of driving to Leeds on my day  off , which is a mega blessing .It was weird walking out of the bank with bits of paper worth £37,000 all i wanted to do was get home after going to a Supermarket for meatballs and salsa .
Got the money home safely we hand it over tomorrow just after High Noon.

Today is grey with risk of rain i don't think it is going to change much all week which will make moving house a pain although Saturday is down for sunshine so fingers crossed , i reckon we will be moving belongings all week what we can get in to the car.
I guess we can and will take over items like  the canvas blue Ikea bags and the shrink wrap bags i have one large and one medium for my clothes Helen as around six large and four medium , which alone might take a few trips but never mind hopefully its out last move unless we win the lottery then i guess this is it.

Went  over  this afternoon to York with Helen and  Erin  to see the psychic medium Debra Chalmers this will be the third time we have been to see her we have already seen her  once before in York and once in Richmond when she had left her £50k a year paid job to go on the road full time .

TUESDAY.
We go over at half past twelve hopefully  to seal the deal on the static home we will hand over the bankers draught and hopefully get the keys to the can if they was to ask for more cash originally they was asking for £50k then we are walking away , and i will buy a camper van not to live in just for weekends days off and holidays .
If it all goes through we will be moving some clothes , cleaning stuff , pots , pans , and maybe some plants and of course Ethel this will be her sixth home .

Ethel is a Gargoyle i bought the day my Mum died and it was named after her , i think she would have a good laugh if she knew .

We bought this today at half past twelve we took the keys we have been cleaning it inside and out its been a hard day but enjoyable i also did three trips in the car taking smaller stuff over mainly books ornaments and clothes .
We hope to be fully moved in by this Saturday but  it might be a couple of weeks before we are back online ouch . thank fcuk for tethering .

WAGONS ROLL

I now have over 9300 songs on my iPod classic and over 600 albums 80 gb full half way over 27 days continuous play back its a ridicules amount of music to listen to but excellent when its kept on shuffle.

Watching " Mr Robot " new tv series i have the first three episode to watch just finished the pilot and its brilliant if you like computers and hackers story lines the does have a twist and is well worth watching in my opinion.

Three days countdown until we buy and are new owners of  the Can Tuesday is coming fast today i phoned up our Internet and phone provider to tell them our moving to a new address hopefully because there is a phone line already installed it should be straight forward .
Tomorrow i will go to my bank and get a bankers draught for £37000 to pay for the static home .
Most of the things upstairs are packed up ready to move out wagons roll.

THE CAN

FRIDAY

Working to day then i have four days off, Tuesday being D-Day when we hand over money for the park home , static home , caravan ,  or shed anything else you want to call it , think i will refer to it as the "Can".

We will start to move our belongings on the first day we owing and get the keys even if its only plants and clothes and a few other smaller  items its about a twenty minute drive from our house that we are renting now .

SATURDAY
Went in to the centre of Huddersfield we want to go to Wilkinson's a kind of superstore that sells all household goods from the garden to the bedroom etc we bought a new pedal bin bin bread bin and a few other items . We also bought the vacuum sealed clear through storage bags that you fill attach to the vacuum and shrink wrap a pound a bag  brilliant .
After we went through the city centre not anywhere as good as Leeds there was loads of people busking and a few performers doing various things .

The two in black was getting quite a lot of attention you can You Tube to see how it's done which kind of spoils it .

The picture below shows what we saw when coming out Wilkinson's after fifty yards or so it made us laugh when intact it's disgusting , hope this does not catch on the  thing is for the life of me when i went back i couldn't remember which was my piece of gum.

NEXT CHAPTER

All set for Tuesday i need £3500 in cash to pay the buyers fee to the land owners which is ten percent of the asking price , which is £35,000 which leaves me to get a bankers draught for £33500 for the buying of the static home.

So £37,000 pounds will be leaving my bank account I'll  be sad to see it go very sad intact i will  be in tears , but on the positive side  i will have a dwelling to live in for for only £67 ground rent each month which is still manageable when i eventually retire in years to come. I have to look at the big picture and not just the present time .

It will be a new start i am looking forward to be a property owner regardless it will be home , if your sat in a chair on your laptop what does it matter how big the room is if your a sleep in bed it does not matter how big the bedroom is ,or if in the shower how big the bathroom is , we will have more space than we have now .

Its been two years this will be our last summer in the cottage and it is to be our last summer in Holmfirth its been a great twenty four months  i have loved living here i am glad we did but as good as it has been we will start packing and moving out next week.

I have Monday and Tuesday off annual leave from work and i have two weeks booked for the first fortnight in August .

Helen is excited i never thought she would get giddy about living in a shed be it a tin one , i will take some photos and post them middle of next week , a new chapter is start still Rollin Bye  .

MOVING AGAIN

TUESDAY

Looks like we will be paying  for the park home next Tuesday all being well .We are going to be struggling for the first five months as i will be paying monies back that i have had to borrow to fund the purchase  , but after this period  then we will be living rent free and that will be by  December of this year a terrific Christmas present if nothing else.

I have now 9013 songs on my iPod classic i doubt i want any more on its over half filled i guess 160gb of music is a lot of albums i might put some film on to see the quality of playback.

Started watching The Walking Dead again still on  season five i have finished watching episode 4 , i have had two days of this week i i am back to work tomorrow which is Wednesday which is good news as it's already mid week.

The two days i have had off this week have not been great weather wise so have literally done nothing but a bit of food shopping .

WEDNESDAY
Guess what its raining again , took Pip out yesterday morning and George our ginger Tom cat followed us for the whole of the walk , playfully running along with Pip luckily no other dogs were present . It was quite nice seeing them run and play they get on fine Pip is great with all cats and as never gone for or attacked another cat .

I go back to work today  , i will drop Helen of at her parents house for the day she also takes Pip with her , we need to give the landlady a months notice if we are getting the static home Tuesday which is going to be awkward , i think she will have trouble renting it usually when people leave its a few months before it is rented out again , i think she will have trouble getting someone to stay in it longer than a couple of years .

We moved in 9th of August 2013 and it as been nice in summer but dark , cold and bleak in winter .
its no good for S.A.D sufferers .Helen as found it hard going at times the best thing is the people on our street are all really close friends which goes without saying we would have never known had we not moved .This time next week hopefully we will be property owners once again which in itself is a nice thought .
Since me and Helen have been together this will be our sixth move maybe this will be the last one , but never say never.

GREAT DAYS

This time next week we should be owners of a 40 foot static home it is in the middle of its plot and there is space at either side , we also have a wooden deck to the side with enough space for a table chairs and a sun lounger and barbecue  there is also outside lighting .Outbuildings which will house  a chest freezer there is also part of it it converted to use as a office which will be ideal for Helen it is all wired up and is also alarmed .
Its as two bedrooms an en suite bathroom and shower and separate toilet as you come in through the side door .
It will cost me all my savings and some i have to borrow and will need to pay it back at £500 a month for five months then i will see the difference from having no rent to pay so by December i be better off,

SATURDAY
Helen and i went out with Erin ,and Charlie  to  the Fire and Ice restaurant at Honley  , really nice deco we had ciders and lager's , i had lamb kebabs to start Helen had breaded mushrooms for main i ordered the ultimate burger  apart from the beef it contained pulled pork and brisket and onion rings it also came with fries it was too much i left half the burger and took it home for Pip .Helen and Erin had steak Charlie Plaice which was just the fish no batter .

SUNDAY
Erin stayed over on the couch it was after half past one when we got to bed this morning i had the iPod connected to the sounder and we was drinking and talking till we all had enough and was ready for bed .
Was up and showered for half past eight and we was all at the Limekiln for breakfast believe or not all i had was coffee toast and marmalade .We sat on the veranda over looking the canal we had half hour wait for our food but we was in no rush.

After breakfast we went to Hope and Castleton we went to an underground cave called the Devils Arse the rope makers use dot live inside the cave years ago its cold and wet with constant drips falling from the ceiling .

The entrance to the cave they have loads of bats and rooks flying around in winter the cave is actually warmer than the outside temperature in summer it feels cool and further you go inside the temperature drops even further .

Passed these trees on the way back to the car i snapped them with my iPhone i really like the photo when i saw it on my computer .
They would really look nice in our new garden at the static home that we buying  on Friday pictures to follow Friday /

THANK FCUK ITS FRIDAY

Yesterday had to be the hottest day of the year so far it was hotter than Rio or so it said on Facebook so it must be true .

I have sixty gig of music on my iPod nearly 6000 songs i doubt i will fill it any time soon i can continuously play a different song  for the next seventeen days  not that i am claiming that the battery would last that long i guess i could have bought a new  iPod touch but there is something about the classic being discontinued that as an appeal about it .

Order a Topping TPNX1 headphone amplifier to go with my iPod classic and phone and hopefully it will also be good for the mac book and iPad .

WEDNESDAY
Its quarter to ten in the morning Helen is still in bed i have showered , washed last nights pots had two cups of coffee done some online payments caught up on friends on Facebook and now deciding to either have another coffee or take Pip out i think  i will take the dog out i, i need to get some Piriton hay fever tablets i used the last two yesterday , the hot weather continues i have nest Monday and Tuesday off work i am supposed to be going to the Hospital but i am thinking of cancelling it as i don't see the point .
It was the hottest day of the year by far at Wimbledon it reached forty one degrees on centre court.

TFIF
Thursday rolled in to Friday woke up to glorious sunshine it was flooding the bedroom just after eight pm i showered and went down stairs i tok some hay fever tablets its going to be another scorcher .
The iPod classic as over five  hundred albums on it should have bought one years ago new ,  i am happy that  i eventually purchased one of eBay and that its in excellent condition.
Saturday we are off drinking hopefully starting mid afternoon and getting something to eat along the way .
We are also considering buying another static home on the same site we was looking at a few weeks ago its a lot less money and as large garden areas to the both sides and to the front and also outbuilding one being a office with pvc windows and doors so fingers crossed it will leave me skint bought rent free for the restive my life .

SEATED

SUNDAY
Paul Weller ,Roxy Music Kings of Leon , David Bowie , Stone Roses , Linkin  Park and James are some of other albums added added to the iPod over four thousand different tracks it's not even a quarter full Apple should bring out a updated version of the classic because for Apple in this case
bigger is better.

We went to Ikea I know what your thinking mad person bought specially on a Sunday we bought a new king size quilt cover and four pillow case and some new covers for the cushions on the settee.  they was also  was selling 13amp plug in adapters which allows you to charge three usb devices simultaneously , that's the  iPad iPod iPhone sorted should they ever run out all at the same time  .

I also bought a dining table with drop leafs and two wooden painted grey  chairs and some tie on cushions .
its the first time we have had a table in the cottage since moving in two years ago we have put it in the corner by the front window you can see all the flowers in the pots on the outside wall looks very English country garden .It took around twenty minutes to assemble the chairs together  and around fifty minutes to do the table with sliding drawer it was worth it eve if it was around ten at night when i started .

We had been out for Sunday dinner at the fleece in Holme and Helen had a half past seven reading which lasted way longer then i had to drive to the 24hour garage fifteen minutes away hence the late start.

MONDAY
Went to Sainsbury bought some matching pasta bowls , desert bowls and side plates to match the white and blue dining plates that we bought last week , we also bought some rattan place mats and cup mats   , and and few tea towels and a pair of oven gloves that are also follow the blue and white theme .

Bought Helen a 38mm space grey Apple watch and paid for a white band it is quite good better than i thought it would be not much good if you don't have a iPhone , i don't know if i want one to be honest  we are not allowed to wear  any wrist watch at work which defeats the point really .

Went to the Aire bar on the outskirts of town  i use to go there with Helen we meet up each dinner time when i was working  at the council.
We meet on the bridge lower down then walk up to the bar and go and sit on the balcony over looking the river Aire  with a Magners for my hour or so dinner break .

It was hot we was sitting inside the bar but got a table after waiting around  fifteen minutes outside on over looking the river .
Helen's son Liam came to meet us we had burgers made with real steak i had mine with pulled pork very nice very filling .

Factory reset the iPod and loaded it with albums from Linkin park and Def Leppard to Stevie Wonder and Madoona and Rollin Stones to Mumford and Sons and another two hundred or so albums I will put more on today there is 140 gab left , it plays perfect and the player is more or less scratch free it's nice and well worth the price I paid. It's set to shuffle brilliant every song an unexpected surprise and it all blends in perfect .

The weather picked up yesterday but today its back to normal i doubt we are going to have a decent summer which is depressing .

Had my yearly appraisal at work yesterday it was very good , i was told i had improved immensely from the previous year. I told my manageress i had done nothing different from years previous .She was adamant i had come on leaps and bounds , i still argued that  i was doing OK but doing  nothing different from last year , but in the end i said wouldn't argue and if she and others saw it that way then fine .

I am currently bidding on eBay to buy a 7th generation 160gb iPod if Apple still sold them i would go out and buy one but we all know they don't .and i cant see that if they bring out a new iPod it be what i wan i don't want a built in camera or to be able to download and play games or go online i just want a device that will hold loads of albums and just play music end of.

I also bought 100  blank cd's of Ebay today for Helen's readings that she does for  people , from Amazon still waiting for the book and my ear phones hopefully within the next few days .

SATURDAY
Helen's book came from Amazon "A slice of Bread and Jam ".
I bought six x white crew neck t-shirts from Primark at £2.50 each i also bought another ten pairs of black socks , and a nice thick decent dark brown leather belt from White Stuff , it is the only mans item of clothing  i have ever bought from them ,  although Helen's never out of  the fcuking place , after i bought it they gave me a voucher for 15% of  any men's wear further purchase.

Went to the Sovereign for a late dinner had the fish again Helen had the gammon at least i could have a pint of cider now i am no longer on antibiotics.

In the evening we went to the movies to the Odeon in Huddersfield ,  to see the latest Jurassic park movie in 3D , and to be honest it was better than i thought it would be .

BIRD DOG.

We have booked Pip our Jack Russell in for a trim wash nails doing and teeth doing we dropped her of this morning at nine o clock ,  i hope she is ok she when we pick her up she can get quite nervous and withdrawn fingers crossed she likes her morning of doggy pampering.
When we picked her up she looked liked  she did when she was a small pup she looks a lot better with her coat scissored cut instead of her being clipped , if they are clipped then  the coat tends to grow back thicker.

When we went to pick her up just after one this afternoon they was an amazing parrot perched on the railing outside it was the owners of the dog salon it never flies away apparently it was in the shower earlier and was out side getting some rays .

I finish my course of prescribed antibiotics today after two weeks , but i  guess i will  be good and wait until Friday before having a bottle of ice cold Kopparberg pear cider  , i might even wait until Saturday.
We might have our once a year barbie depending on the weather since i got poorly i have not eaten any chicken so i am going to get some lamb and steak instead that's if the weather is still good .

PRESS THE BUTTON FOOL

MONDAY
Got my first item of Amazon the Swees 25500 mah power bank i got it before dinner time i only order it on Saturday late morning incredibly fast.
I charged it up to the maximum when all four of the charging lights were light i unplugged it from the mains and plugged in my iPad nothing happened i tried all of the three ports nothing , tried my phone nothing i tried swapping lighting cables nothing.
I emailed the manufactures for a refund. They sent me an email and  i have to print out the packaging labels to send it back and find a drop off point after doing all that , when i was putting it away in the box i saw a small button on the side of the power bank and  hey presto once you plug your device in  that needs charging and press the button on the sides  it charges it fool   , what a idiot i am  i feel a right nerd .
To cheer myself up , any excuse for a ruby , i bought myself a Mumtaz lamb kahari curry and a basmati rice for my dinner before going to work at half past twelve .

Hate Mondays and hate work i have decided that the best two things about my job is payday and home time .

TUESDAY
I need more white T-shirts from Primark at £2.99 a throw they are excellent buys i can no longer wear black with the cat and dog hairs show up too easy on black.

Bought a tube of tortilla Pringles for when i get home tonight ,  i could not decide what i wanted to eat i was contemplating a stuffed crust pizza as i have some chorizo in the fridge but  i am still not trying to have a full blown meal on a night and so far so good , but  some nights are harder than others .

Helens  book i ordered is winging its way to her and also my ear phones are on the way to me i think her book will arrive first , by the dates given.

SUNNY AFTERNOON IN THE SUMMERTIME

Today I went to York with Helen and Erin getting there just after one , after walking up the river Ouse we went for lunch to the "Slug & Lettuce " i had a slow cooked beef pie with sweet potato chips , Helen had fish cakes and Erin a chicken skewer the food was pretty good and the service ok it is directly by the river then follow the stairs  on to Bridge Street turn right and it is  is there .

We spent a few hours in York i bought some white chocolate and raspberry fudge which is way too addictive  ,in the afternoon we went to Costa coffee and i had a tropical fruit drink it was a lot  like a frappuccino but not as bad for the brain freeze ,

After leaving York we drove over to see Helen's son Kris and his girlfriend Jenna they moved in to there home just before last Christmas and we had not seen them since we stayed an hour and half  after  leaving them we went to a very nice country pub for evening food "The Foxglove " nice interior and very nice grounds .
I was not that hungry so i had a starter for my main course which was the lamb Kofftas kebabs   , Helen had steak and Erin had the hunters chicken , Erin gave me some of her onion rings and garlic mushrooms Helen gave me some of her hand cut chips so it was like having a main course after all .

UP TO PRESS

Went back to work Tuesday it was the longest shift ever i was so glad when it was over .
Even the drive home seem to take for ages , i actually went to bed after half an hour of getting home , i was that tired .

I had 385 unread emails to go through a lot i just deleted , i had my return to work interview which was ok , and i had forgotten my password to log on to my pc so i had to phone the I.T. dept to reset it a pain.

I really need to pack work in , i have decided it is not for me , if only it was a possibility instead of a dream .
Work was a little bit better Wednesday but not buy much not been eating when I get her me on a evening hopefully I can continue this .

Looking forward to the weekend might even get to the coast and get some fish and chips , sea air  and a walk in the sea specially if we go to Robin Hoods Bay .

Bought a pair of Mrice E300 ear phones from Amazon. They cost me only  £14.99 ,  i got them because they had a great review and write up on Wired they are claiming that they are better or as good as ones costing ten times as much so on that basis i bought a pair , get them in around ten days

I also bought from Amazon a Sweex 25600 mAh usb power bank for £26 ,  it will basically charge your i phone ten times so it would easily charge from flat , mine and Helen's iPads and phones if we was away for the weekend .
And the paper back book "A slice of jam and bread " by Tommy Rattigan it is to do with the moors murderers Myra Hindley and Ian Brady .I bought it for Helen i will read it after her although i prefer it on ebook.

GOING BACK

SUNDAY
Picked my son up from his some in Skirpenbeck just after half past nine i then  drove him over to Leeds to pick his new car ,  its a lot better than the last Corsa he bought saying that its a lot more expensive . it is a nice looking VRX  in electric blue  i think it is around 148 bhp 1.6L turbo so it should be very nippy , i hope he avoids the speeding cameras and other cars other wise its going to be a short lived hobby .

MONDAY
Took Helen to see the heart specialist nothing more was said then last time it is not life threatening she can take beta blockers each day or have an ablation done under local anaesthetic where a wire is threaded up through her vain via her leg take about an hour fifteen minutes with a 95% chance of it working and !% chance it will fuck the rhythm of her heart fully then if that was to happen she would need a pace maker fitting.

After we came out we went for a sandwich to Subway not bad meatballs and cheese with tomato Italian sauce .
Went shopping to Meadow Hall at Sheffield i finally bought a bottle of Bvlgaria Man In Black Eau De Perfume at a cost of £54.99 i have been wanting some for ages , i also bought some Jack Jones jeans and some Adidas training shoes in white and grey along with a light blue polo shirt , a red checked short sleeve shirt and a blue and white stripped  t-shirt and a khaki green water proof summer rain jacket which i will also wear in winter which was a bargain at £45 , i needed cheering up as i am back at work tomorrow it takes a few days to adjust a month of is a long time , and it is still grey raining windy weather which is totally depressing as i type this it is dark and you can hear the wind howling not a nice evening it is only 22.25 and it is the first of June it is a joke .

BATTERIES

MONDAY - Bank Holiday I go back to work tonight  work is getting worse really cant be arsed do what I have to do even that is hard work mot...
