MID WEEK BRING IT ON

Why is it Monday already and why have I not got it off.The weekend was a wash out all it did was rain  , no sun zero heat result we  have been robbed of 48hours of summertime.

Took delivery of 100 blank cd;s that i ordered of Ebay last Saturday , but i am still waiting for the head phones that  i bought of Amazon a week last Saturday.

Need to get a form to renew my passport from the post office as we are thinking about planing on a holiday  to Italy and then maybe New York  sometime this year , this will go  to make up for the years i have been nowhere .

Be nice to spend ten days in Italy if viable  not sure if we would go to Rome or another place , and if possible spend at least five or six days in New York later in the year .
Need something to cheer me up its been a while since i have travelled or touched down on foreign shores way too long .Be  nice to eat fresh baked pizza proper cooked pasta and drink Italian wine and coffee . and in N.Y a McDonald's , K.F.C and other American food and drink .

TUESDAY
Went to see a mortgage advisor this morning Helen got the email confirming our appointment , so i  sorted out bank statements , wage slips  , i.d , and utility bills etc , we got to the office in Holmfirth only to be told we should have been at the Denby Dale branch miles away. So we had rescheduled for this Friday.

Called in to the post office to get passport renewal forms my passport expired a few years ago , i was told it is around a three week turn around for processing .

WEDNESDAY
Weekend in sight all down hill after toady's shift which is a happy thought although it is raining again but this is England .
Cooking some pulled pork for my dinner which have before i set off for work at twenty to one hopefully this will do me all day.

Watching "While We're Young"  with Ben Stiller and "Danny Collin's" with Al Pacino.

TFIF

TFIF on the drive home i stopped off at the garage and bought two bottles of Kopparberg i even left work fifteen minutes early because i had enough for one week and i just wanted to get out and fcuk off home pardon my French.

I am currently bidding on eBay to buy a 7th generation 160gb iPod if Apple still sold them i would go out and buy one but we all know they don't .and i cant see that if they bring out a new iPod it be what i wan i don't want a built in camera or to be able to download and play games or go online i just want a device that will hold loads of albums and just play music end of.

I also bought 100  blank cd's of Ebay today for Helen's readings that she does for  people , from Amazon still waiting for the book and my ear phones hopefully within the next few days .

SATURDAY
Helen's book came from Amazon "A slice of Bread and Jam ".
I bought six x white crew neck t-shirts from Primark at £2.50 each i also bought another ten pairs of black socks , and a nice thick decent dark brown leather belt from White Stuff , it is the only mans item of clothing  i have ever bought from them ,  although Helen's never out of  the fcuking place , after i bought it they gave me a voucher for 15% of  any men's wear further purchase.

Went to the Sovereign for a late dinner had the fish again Helen had the gammon at least i could have a pint of cider now i am no longer on antibiotics.

In the evening we went to the movies to the Odeon in Huddersfield ,  to see the latest Jurassic park movie in 3D , and to be honest it was better than i thought it would be .


SUNDAY
Bidding on Ebay on a iPod classic did not win the last one hopefully i will win this current one , i want one if they was in the shops i would go buy one today my max bid is £135 my current bid is £102  and there is five hours to go after three hours i had to increase my max bid to £151 , when new these were on sale for £199. I lost the bidding it eventually went for £199 plus p&p.

I was in the Fleece eating oxtail and beef and roasted vegetables i had no signal whilst in  the Inn and only realised i had lost when i left and regained a signal after the the listing had ended.

BIRD DOG.

We have booked Pip our Jack Russell in for a trim wash nails doing and teeth doing we dropped her of this morning at nine o clock ,  i hope she is ok she when we pick her up she can get quite nervous and withdrawn fingers crossed she likes her morning of doggy pampering.
When we picked her up she looked liked  she did when she was a small pup she looks a lot better with her coat scissored cut instead of her being clipped , if they are clipped then  the coat tends to grow back thicker.

When we went to pick her up just after one this afternoon they was an amazing parrot perched on the railing outside it was the owners of the dog salon it never flies away apparently it was in the shower earlier and was out side getting some rays .

I finish my course of prescribed antibiotics today after two weeks , but i  guess i will  be good and wait until Friday before having a bottle of ice cold Kopparberg pear cider  , i might even wait until Saturday.
We might have our once a year barbie depending on the weather since i got poorly i have not eaten any chicken so i am going to get some lamb and steak instead that's if the weather is still good .

PRESS THE BUTTON FOOL

MONDAY
Got my first item of Amazon the Swees 25500 mah power bank i got it before dinner time i only order it on Saturday late morning incredibly fast.
I charged it up to the maximum when all four of the charging lights were light i unplugged it from the mains and plugged in my iPad nothing happened i tried all of the three ports nothing , tried my phone nothing i tried swapping lighting cables nothing.
I emailed the manufactures for a refund.They sent me an email and  i have to print out the packaging labels to send it back and find a drop off point after doing all that , when i was putting it away in the box i saw a small button on the side of the power bank and  hey presto once you plug your device in  that needs charging and press the button on the sides  it charges it fool   , what a idiot i am  i feel a right nerd .
To cheer myself up , any excuse for a ruby , i bought myself a Mumtaz lamb kahari curry and a basmati rice for my dinner before going to work at half past twelve .

Hate Mondays and hate work i have decided that the best two things about my job is payday and home time .

TUESDAY
I need more white T-shirts from Primark at £2.99 a throw they are excellent buys i can no longer wear black with the cat and dog hairs show up too easy on black.

Bought a tube of tortilla Pringles for when i get home tonight ,  i could not decide what i wanted to eat i was contemplating a stuffed crust pizza as i have some chorizo in the fridge but  i am still not trying to have a full blown meal on a night and so far so good , but  some nights are harder than others .

Helens  book i ordered is winging its way to her and also my ear phones are on the way to me i think her book will arrive first , by the dates given.

SUNNY AFTERNOON IN THE SUMMERTIME

Today I went to York with Helen and Erin getting there just after one , after walking up the river Ouse we went for lunch to the "Slug & Lettuce " i had a slow cooked beef pie with sweet potato chips , Helen had fish cakes and Erin a chicken skewer the food was pretty good and the service ok it is directly by the river then follow the stairs  on to Bridge Street turn right and it is  is there .

We spent a few hours in York i bought some white chocolate and raspberry fudge which is way too addictive  ,in the afternoon we went to Costa coffee and i had a tropical fruit drink it was a lot  like a frappuccino but not as bad for the brain freeze ,

After leaving York we drove over to see Helen's son Kris and his girlfriend Jenna they moved in to there home just before last Christmas and we had not seen them since we stayed an hour and half  after  leaving them we went to a very nice country pub for evening food "The Foxglove " nice interior and very nice grounds .
 I was not that hungry so i had a starter for my main course which was the lamb Kofftas kebabs   , Helen had steak and Erin had the hunters chicken , Erin gave me some of her onion rings and garlic mushrooms Helen gave me some of her hand cut chips so it was like having a main course after all .

UP TO PRESS

Went back to work Tuesday it was the longest shift ever i was so glad when it was over .
Even the drive home seem to take for ages , i actually went to bed after half an hour of getting home , i was that tired .

I had 385 unread emails to go through a lot i just deleted , i had my return to work interview which was ok , and i had forgotten my password to log on to my pc so i had to phone the I.T. dept to reset it a pain.

I really need to pack work in , i have decided it is not for me , if only it was a possibility instead of a dream .
Work was a little bit better Wednesday but not buy much not been eating when I get her me on a evening hopefully I can continue this .

Looking forward to the weekend might even get to the coast and get some fish and chips , sea air  and a walk in the sea specially if we go to Robin Hoods Bay .

I cant wait for Friday to come i feel like booking a fortnights annual leave i might book some for end of July first week in August .

FRIDAY
Euro lottery is £72 million i have bought four tickets and Helen has bought one if only be  a total life changer , not only for us but for others we know .

SATURDAY
The Euro millions was not won it is now standing at £82 million next draw is on Tuesday .
Bought a pair of Mrice E300 ear phones from Amazon. They cost me only  £14.99 ,  i got them because they had a great review and write up on Wired they are claiming that they are better or as good as ones costing ten times as much so on that basis i bought a pair , get them in around ten days

I also bought from Amazon a Sweex 25600 mAh usb power bank for £26 ,  it will basically charge your i phone ten times so it would easily charge from flat , mine and Helen's iPads and phones if we was away for the weekend .
And the paper back book "A slice of jam and bread " by Tommy Rattigan it is to do with the moors murderers Myra Hindley and Ian Brady .I bought it for Helen i will read it after her although i prefer it on ebook.

I also bought three new T-shirts from Fat Face i need decent T-shirts if i am going out anywhere half decent.

GOING BACK

SUNDAY
Picked my son up from his some in Skirpenbeck just after half past nine i then  drove him over to Leeds to pick his new car ,  its a lot better than the last Corsa he bought saying that its a lot more expensive . it is a nice looking VRX  in electric blue  i think it is around 148 bhp 1.6L turbo so it should be very nippy , i hope he avoids the speeding cameras and other cars other wise its going to be a short lived hobby .

MONDAY
Took Helen to see the heart specialist nothing more was said then last time it is not life threatening she can take beta blockers each day or have an ablation done under local anaesthetic where a wire is threaded up through her vain via her leg take about an hour fifteen minutes with a 95% chance of it working and !% chance it will fuck the rhythm of her heart fully then if that was to happen she would need a pace maker fitting.

After we came out we went for a sandwich to Subway not bad meatballs and cheese with tomato Italian sauce .
Went shopping to Meadow Hall at Sheffield i finally bought a bottle of Bvlgaria Man In Black Eau De Perfume at a cost of £54.99 i have been wanting some for ages , i also bought some Jack Jones jeans and some Adidas training shoes in white and grey along with a light blue polo shirt , a red checked short sleeve shirt and a blue and white stripped  t-shirt and a khaki green water proof summer rain jacket which i will also wear in winter which was a bargain at £45 , i needed cheering up as i am back at work tomorrow it takes a few days to adjust a month of is a long time , and it is still grey raining windy weather which is totally depressing as i type this it is dark and you can hear the wind howling not a nice evening it is only 22.25 and it is the first of June it is a joke .

WEDDING

Today we drove in to Leeds to the Crown Plaza Hotel for Martin and Sharon's wedding .
The wedding was at eleven o clock the wedding was done and dusted in around twenty minutes .
Being on antibiotics i couldn't even have an alcoholic drink so i had coke .
The wedding breakfast as to why they called it breakfast when it was more like a lunch , we had fresh salmon with granary bread lemon and water cress , some people wouldn't eat the fresh salmon they commented they only eat salmon out of a tin .The main course was roast beef roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding and carrots and green beans desert was cheese cake with fresh strawberries and cream no complaints there .
I thought the food was ok and appreciated the meal , some people moaned but some people are only happy when they are morning .

NO MORE

Today i felt sort of ok all i am missing is a full nights sleep hopefully this will come .Getting sick of my illness i won't blog about it again no more as it is getting tedious .

Went for a drive to Uppermill i bought a bottle of  peach barley juice and summer fruit barley to dilute , as i need more fluids try and help the antibiotics flush my kidneys out i know it can also help with kidney stones and blood sugar levels  as well  , so i guess i do need to take on more water sounds crazy but i cant drink pure water i have to mix it with juice .

I do seem to be eating less and getting fuller quicker which is good I have lost weight how much I have no idea I never ever weigh myself why would I , I don't diet I believe if I wanted to lose weight I burn more calories by doing more walking , I know this is a cop out but all the stuff I love eating is all the wrong and bad stuff I can't do salads lettuce makes me sick and blanched vegetables are to much like eating them raw it ain't happening .if I am served them in a restaurant they stay on my plate untouched .
I also bought some tins of Stag chili to go on jacket potatoes i will cook with grated cheese to top gorgeous.



Been listening to two great albums Noel Gallagher "High Flying Birds " - Chasing Yesterday a masterpiece its brilliant and "Mumfords & Sons" - Wilder Mind also brilliant best two albums in my opinion this year.

Watching - "Silicon Valley" hilarious and very on the second season .

WAITING FOR A MIRICALE

Went to Ikea bought twelve of the blue bags the sell at the check outs for if and  when we move .
Also bought some clementine scented tea lights sound crap but the do smell ok .We also bought some hot dogs and a apple crumble.

I am looking forward to watching the film biography of Amy Winehouse that is due for release in July the trailer looks really good and based on that definitely will watch it .
I have a pack of pulled pork to cook for tea with some tortilla wraps and fries and sour cream i also have a  white chocolate Magnum in the freezer courtesy of Erin thank you.

George is going out on a night when we go to bed we leave the window open enough so he can come and go via the roof below , he as gone out  two nights running and so far so good .

I have had more blood taking for testing today i also took a urine sample which states i have a kidney infection and finally i have been given some antibiotics hopefully these will kick in after a few weeks i also have another sick note for another week off work.

We are still in negotiations over the park home trailer home caravan what ever you want to refer it to and  i am also trying to borrow extra money to put in to the kitty ,  but we are still going to be way under the asking price and if they agree to the sale it will be a miracle but miracles do happen.

SO CLOSE YET SO FAR

I could eat a freshly made curry with all the trimmings mixed kebab starters keema  nan breads pilau rice poppadom's and to finish a nice Indian desert rather than the usual  of chocolate fudge cake and pouring cream .
We have a wedding to go to a week this Saturday the venue is rather close to Mumtaz a rather nice restaurant on Clarence dock .

Went back to the Doctors he wants to take more blood next Friday and a stool sample for testing i am feeling better and what ever i have had my body as fought it off , but we still have no idea what it is i have been suffering with.

I go back to work on Tuesday that is after next weeks bank holiday Monday , so at least i will be only working four days which will help .
To be honest how the really ill people cope is beyond me , as  the last few weeks have really took it out of me those who are constantly battling serious illness have my deepest sympathy and respect it cant be easy.

Well i have another three days off and to be fair i am ready to go back to work sounds crazy but i am. I cant get another sick note unless i have a relapse to be honest i am only putting it off.

We are around £7k short of cash it looks like it is not going to happen there is nothing i can do i have exhausted all avenues so close yet so far .

Went to a local village pub witty Charlie , Erin and Helen  we sat out it was very warm and sunny earlier but as the evening drew in it got cold we just had a pint and chatted for the hour and half we was there.

PLAN B ?

Getting fed up being at home never watched so much tv its boring don't know how people who don't work fill there days its ok if you have extra money to go places ,  i wouldn't class myself as totally house bound and at the end o the day i still have to go out for  food shopping  every other day and the dog needs walking daily so i am not totally in the cottage all day , but saying that the days do seem to last a lot longer .

Finally got the cheque i have been waiting for i paid over £17, 000 in income tax OUCH  ,  robbing bastards,  i was expecting to get taxed at basic rate of around 20% and then owe the tax  the following tax year which more or less which would be another 20% .

Which was hopefully to be paid through my tax code over a three year period as discussed previously with the tax office , which would work out at around £250 a month but they have taken off the full amount of  tax this year at source as a result we don't have enough money to buy the static home. We are in shit street the lady selling the home to us  it has waited since last November for us to get the cash ,  i feel a right louse but i am not in a position to do anything as they say  i am up the creek minus a paddle or life jacket .Need a plan B desperately , Helen is totally pissed of and is not happy.
Maybe i should buy thousands of lottery tickets and hope for the best .

Needing " A Miracle ".

NO CHEQUE YET

The cheque i am waiting for never came today which is a pain hopefully it will be tomorrow to be honest i am sick of waiting.We are at a stalemate in limbo clueless as to what is happening it is most annoying.
I slept ok last i was too warm rather than red hot with sweat i manage to get a full five hours sleep before waking up .
I am still drinking more tea than coffee which i am finding weird i am also sticking to one meal a day last night i had jacket potato cheese beans and sausages .
The weather is rubbish we have had hailstones and heavy downpours one thing i have not had in the three weeks i have been off work is heat and sunshine , no one can accuse me of swinging the lead because its been great weather.Although hopefully the sun is on its way .
Being at home is very relaxing but is getting boring .

NOT ALL DOOM

Went back to the doctors this morning for more blood tests these new samples will be compared to the previous ones and see what changes have occurred if any.
The doctor wrote me another sick note which will piss work off but who cares it is what it is .
I go back Friday to see whats what i think i will be back at work on the Monday hopefully with a clean bill of health.

Anyway should get cheque either tomorrow or Wednesday and should be in a position to pay for the static home . where we are renting at the moment the washer door flew off after it finished going through the spinning process so luckily no water poured out and is now totally out of commission and the fire packed in again which was a bag of shit from day one ,  i differently think it is time to move on.
Seen a comfy grey fabric corner sofa unit for the static home and it just happens to be half price until the 2nd of June , we wanted one for the cottage that  we are living in now but the room was just way  too small.

TWO WEEKS SICK

FRIDAY
If it was not for the hot sweats during the night i be feeling ok , waking up dripping with sweat to the extent of the bed sheets and duvet being wet is not nice or hygienic , but there is little i can do through the day if i feel hot i can go outside in the breeze , i can have a cold drink or have a wash or shower ,During the night i go to bed normal i wake up cooking hopefully this will stop .

Phoned up  my financial advisor to see what is happening with the money cheque  i have due coming to me once again they have told me it is being finalised and the it will be posted out to me on Monday will wait and see.

Had some pulled pork fries and wraps got to admit i did leave some i do seem to be getting a full stomach with less food which cant be a bad thing .

SATURDAY
Slept on top of the bed under a throw i was still waking up with sweats but not  as bad i did wake up cold .

SUNDAY
Still  waking up through the night i am drinking a litre of apple and blackcurrant juice every night .
Today i had Jordan's crunch then at around five in the afternoon i had a sweet potato curry with a couple of wraps i also had a bottle of ice cold Koppaberg pear cider poured over ice .
I still feel totally knackered and washed i out i still not sleeping through which is having an effect of my tiredness during  the day , i go back to the doctors for more blood tests this Monday last time i had i got the rest;ts back on the Wednesday will see if i get another sick note for a week .Two weeks sick it as been a pain .

GETTING THERE

I have eaten two full meals yesterday and today. Yesterday  i had oven baked potato cheese , baked beans and sausages  one of the nicest meals i have had in a long time .
Today i had pork and apple burgers and cheesy chips extremely nice both days for breakfast i had Jordan's crunch with milk.
Went for a walk tonight it took it out of me i just feel aches and pains nothing major .
Last night i slept on top of the bed with some thin cotton bottoms and a t-shirt and socks i woke up cold i stripped off and got under the duvet i woke up again an hour and half later sweating .

STUPID

First time that  i have been on my Mac Book since a week last Sunday that is a first , i have gone days without wanting a cup of coffee never happened before unprecedented .

In the last nine days i have never slept more than what i have been doing , yet i still feel worn out and knackered one thing is sure once i get over this illness i will have to try an live an healthier life still.

I f i was put in to restaurant and then told to order anything i wanted and the head chef would cook it for me i would be at a lost to decide a menu that was appetizing  to me same with with drink nothing seems to refresh i have had apple and pear , blackcurrant and apple and peach does seem to improve if i had ice and make it really dilute .

But hopefully we will be out of here and in to our new home within the next coming weeks i will be back at work moaning how shit the job is again hopefully i am ready to start coming down the other side and all will be well.

Helen as been a true star i know i can be stubborn and stupid and the amount of time she has wanted me to admit myself to Hospital i have lost count hopefully i am in the process of fighting this off .

BLOOD TESTS

Was shaking again uncontrollably and my breathing was heavy I take paracetamol this stops me shaking and I start sweating.I wake up drenched my hair soaking through as soon as I am out of bed going to the bathroom and the cold air hits me I start to shake again .
This morning to phoned for an ambulance they did not deem it necessary and put me through to NHS patient line after a hour on the phone there recommendation was to go back to my G.P .
I got a morning appointment this time blood samples were taken and sent off to the labs for testing, I get the results back Wednesday, I also got a sick note for a week .
I have eaten more today but I still need to take more fluids roll on Wednesday.
I am still not drinking coffee which is unbelievable me being a coffee head , the neighbours have been great specially Charlie it's quite touching , I am extremely humbled.

ILL

Suppose to be working today bank holiday Monday but last night I was suffering from severe stomach ache pains I was also vomiting and going to the toilet but only in small amounts what I really wanted to do was fill the toilet up but it was not happening, then I was either too hot or cold .
So at after seven this morning I called work to tell them I would not be in.
It is quite a nice day for a bank holiday so I know what everyone will be thinking but I am  honestly knackered and generally under the weather .

TUESDAY
Still not eating not had anything since Sunday just don't have an appetite Helen was cooking fried eggs the smell alone made me want to throw up made an appointment at the doctors .

WEDNESDAY
Went to doctors the diagnosis was either I have a viral infection or food poisoning I was given a prescription for a course of tablets I still not eaten anything since Sunday I took the dog out on a walk I do every day I was knackered i am drinking juice I don't even fancy coffee which is unheard of.

THURSDAY
I had a shaking fit I was cold I made an emergency appointment at the doctors I have been advised if things don't improve I should go to A&E I was told to buy some paracetamol to stop the cold shaking fits and hot sweats , I did have a bowl of tagliatelle and some fresh pineapple .

FRIDAY
Actually went to the toilet this morning first time since Sunday so hopefully fingers crossed I am on the mend .

I should be in the position to pay for the Static home later  next week we will be property owners outright  for the very first time ever .

From my insurance pay out i am hoping to get a few things for the home and maybe a small item for myself such as a camera .

Weather as been shit over the weekend  Saturday we went through Brighouse to Shipden Hall another old house that was built in year dick.We picked our friend up Erin on the way and she came with us from there we went over to Trafford centre in Manchester we wandered through the shop going in to Selfridges and John Lewis i like the Bvlgaria man in black after shave i sprayed a few sample cards i tried to get a sample bottle without any joy we  had a white chocolate mocha from Starbucks Helen bought me a new Starbucks coffee mug and a Starbucks chocolate gold coin thank you.Its the first Starbucks coffee mug i have had paid for i usually acquire them a different way.

SUNDAY
Tour de Yorkshire came through Holmffirth we did not see it or did we get stuck in any traffic because of it We went looking at solid fuel fires i.e. log burners you can pay as much as £1800 just for the fire that is without the flu fitting slate or stone plinth or any tiling .
