Finally made it to the tattoo shop got there just before 11 o clock got out for 2 0 clock and as always the first ten minutes are always the worst.
my tattoo artist , and he is a artist he can create wicked drawings of monsters and dragons Giger type themes and Paul Booth type work who works out of last rites tattoos which he is owner off the tattoo shop situated in the U.S.A http://darkimages.com/enter.asp

Back to my artist i was lucky to catch him he jets of tomorrow to Florida but only six months ago he had a stroke and is now slightly paralyzed on his right hand side hopefully this will improve over the coming weeks and this is why its been so difficult arranging a sitting .
his work colleague never mentioned this all the times i phoned up for an appointment what had occurred he just said he was not working and left it at that.
As you can see my new tat reads life death no matter which way it is viewed from its not an original idea but i have not seen it done both ways as i have had it done.
its usually just the one word obviously it does cost twice as much in pain , time effort and money to have it done like this i like because hopefully people will see it as life before death and hopefully for us all reading this thats the way it will work out.
it was inked on my right lower leg/calf and for a guy and artist who is only using the one good hand it is truly a work of art both in effort ability and dedication and is better than what alot can do with two good hands he is left handed but never the less what a feat.

so big thank you Chris do have a pleasant and a holiday and a totally chilled out time in Florida don't drink all the Budweiser and don't smoke all the Marlboro's .

What a way to spend a Friday now its chillout time going to down a few magners have a Indian and watch a decent dvd Sunday its the computer fair at Rothwell sports Centre from ten till three cya there if anyone wants to see how the tat is healing just ask hehe

Friday went to Castleford to get some paint and flat packed kitchen base units 60% off which was the same offer they had on two years ago ?.

So good Friday i was working on the house fitting new kitchen units and worktops to existing kitchen units i installed a couple of years ago also did some painting apt be it only a wall.

Saturday finished work bought a new polo shirt from Next for a pricley sum of £17.00 because we was going to Holmfirth to a wedding reception evening party .
which was a cool time since i was allowed to drink and not drive home so i had a few lagers and J&D's which went down too nice pity i had to go to work at the Hospital Sunday .The buffet was well enjoyable especially the locally made pork pies and the Indian samosas

Sunday got a easter egg of the nurse,s most people on working on the ward got one had it after tea which was from the Chinese take away had duck in sweet chili sauce with spring onions and ginger yum yum .

Monday bought some end panels for the kitchen which where not panels but solid pine base unit doors which i got over at the Glasshoughton B&Q for £1.78p for a two pack why so cheap i don't know said end of line but even so that is too cheap.

Tuesday went to get a tow bar priced up and a bike trailer ordered costing £450 which is a fair price cant get it until the 26th of this month so my son is pissed of
still its now ordered and as promised as soon as we get it i will take him out on his bike fingers crossed it wont be pissing down .

Got rest of week off want to re-paint the kitchen go get tattoo done which i have been trying to sort out for ages now and go to a computer fair on Sunday which is on near where i live ant normally go to them because by the time i finish work so is the computer fair

Fancy doing something different this weekend but as always working the weekend knackers everything up just fancy going in to the bars late on a night and getting merry this is with my wife but we would both end up falling asleep in some club somewhere the oldest swingers in town do miss the atmosphere of the club scene the music checking out the latest fashions and styles not sure if i even know what is hot and what is not.

Miss getting a kebab when fueled up on alcohol that you cant walk straight with lashings of chilli sauce all down my shirt front

miss waking up at 3 0 clock Saturday afternoons ready to do it all over again that night

miss jumping into a taxi to go up to the curry house's then back into town to a night club

miss getting refused entrance because i was wearing a leather jacket trainers or jeans does that still happen miss smoking a joint in the corner of club and having the bouncers coming over to throw us out

miss having a mouth like a ashtray and a head like its got a kango inside going full pelt

miss getting ripped of for the taxi home

miss walking home because there is no taxi willing to drive us cause were too drunk

miss waking up and wondering where all the money went

miss waking up Sunday saying that i will never get this bad again its just childish

miss my dad saying to me your surely not going out tonight its raining

miss my mum saying have you got your keys and some i.d on you hehe

miss my dad saying don't be late no i will be early like 4am in the morning lol

still i suppose life ain't too bad sober could be worse could be a vegetarian salad muncher leaf eating water drinker marathon runner instead of this meat eating ice cream licking chocolate fudge cake eating champion of Leeds

Another person is leaving with a redundancy package of 17K lump sum plus 5k a year pension he is only 60 years old and will loose five years wages as he does not plan on seeking further employment i did ask him out right in what ever form or capacity work does not figure in his plans and no doubt he will spend most of his time watching t.v and burning gas whats the point might as well carry on working and have some purpose to him being alive.

This person still lives with his mother and is reasonably financially secure he has got a few thousand in his bank account 15k about

He as not in to traveling or going places he is not into computing surfing the Internet or technology any shape or form neither is in in to digital cameras, mp3's , blogging or emailing has never got in to computer games doesn't see the point be it x-box PS2 or PS3 is all alien language he doesn't drink smoke or is into any ladies young or old he doesn't read, paint or have anything that remotley resembles a hobby.

He has never been abroad or visited foreign shores will only eat English food will not touch Indian Chinese or pizza no doubt he will look back and wonder why he has lived his life the way he as but then again wont we all no doubt he will have loads of time to reflect on his past years he is the same age as Elton John .
my friend and ex - workmate has also had years of financial freedom not to the extent of Elton if only but still never had to pay a mortgage or had the finacial burden of the luxury of bringing kids up.

His wage has more or less always been his to do what he wishes but he as never done nothing out of the ordinary but if he is truley happy good luck and whom am i to judge. People will tell me I'm making mistakes with my life and i should be doing this and that but i do have a mortgage kids and a wife that takes first place.
personally i just think my friend retired years ago without really knowing .

Want to book sometime of from work get good Friday off easter Monday and the Tuesday so will take 2 flexi days plus one a/l to make it a full week got get the towbar fitted promised my son i would sort it when all the building work was completed and out of the way.

A work mate has just been offered 58k redundancy in a lump sum cash payout plus a 10k a year pension he is only 50 years old lets all guess and see if he can work out what he will do , dos'nt take much working out does it .

Alot of people working would be more than happy if they got half that amount me included. Another workmate just got offered two thousand pounds to throw the towel in and call it a day he is on 25k a year salary lets all try and guess what he is going to do i beat you all got it right again yes he's staying put especially when its been posted on the internet that any compulsory redundancy's will mean a cash pay out of two years salary.
Fingers crossed that if the worst happens this is a true statement.

Have still not recovered from changing the clocks forward by one hour Saturday night hate always have it knackers me up for a few days its never the same when they go back and we all gain an hour i always wake up at the same bleeding time its routine bye then.

at least the nights will start staying lighter for longer need to get down to the canal with my dog and do some serious walking take a few pictures of the barges moored up at the marina check out the walk over the nature reserve its a long walk without killing yourself all though iam not sure if i trespass doing it i have never had anyone say anything to me and there is always plenty of twitchers lurking about never seen Bill Oddy though.

If there is 52 weeks in a year seven days in a week which 52x7 = 364 why is there 365 days in a year i was arguing this point with a colleague at work whom i think now thinks either I'm totally with the fairys and off my head or I'm just winding him up hehe we been asking everyone who walks in to our office i still argue its 364 got to stick to ones guns no retreat no surrender

Still reading the Skin Gods nearly at the end of the book and on the strength of this novel i will go and buy Richard montanari previous novel the Rosary Girls.

started using the oral b rechargeable tooth brush dont have to worry about clean teeth its knocked the, all out hehe o/j don't want suing its a fine piece of kit whether its as good as its made up to be will see when i go back to the dental school for my next bout of treatment on the 20th April which is when they start the root planing bit of the treatment.

they checked the pocket depths of my gums by using a fine metal toothpick instrument which as far as i could make out went down into the gum line of the tooth the did front back and both sides of every tooth not nice at all, but when they start to do the in depth cleaning they can use anesthetic and freeze my mouth which cant be that bad.

still might end up losing a couple of teeth but nothing ventured nothing gained might have a bridge fitted will see how it all pans out.

my Wife has got us tickets to see Il Divo at Sheffield only £75 she said what a bargin said i lets go twice i said rotflmho what i have done to piss the wife off i don't know hehe can always take my i-pod not exactly a cultural vulture and it will serve her right if i get her a ticket to go see the Red Hot Chilli Peepers chance would be a fine thing at least i will go with her to see her boy band my sister and her husband is going as well different seats same day might have to have a few lagers to get in the mood .

Thursday, March 22, 2007

I bought a electronic rechargeable tooth brush from boots on my way home from work the other nigh its a oral B 7000 this was after going to the dental school at the L.G.I as i need to have deep root planning done right down into the pockets of my gums , and after my first appointment i was told that to preserve my teeth for longer was to invest in a electric tooth brush so on the way home i called into Boot's the dearest one's were retailing for £128 the one i picked was mid ranged priced at £42 which is the cost of one filling if your lucky so looking at it like that it ain't too bad cant put a price on your health.

So i got it home opened the packaging and read the instructions before use charge up unit for full 16 hours no props get it on charge at five o clock pm and be ready for use in the morning equalling nice cleaned teeth fresh breath zero plaque wot a result back to the dental school this Friday for next appointment where dental nurse technician will be well impressed with me and will know i'm taking her advise seriously as it was her recommendation that i get the electric tooth brush in the first place.

Thats when i noticed on the end of the charger what plugs in to your electrical socket is a two pin plug big problem i wet shave have no need for a shaving adapter not got one in the bathroom cause i don't need one but have got one somewhere had one years ago needless to say cant find it hunting high and low cant track it down have moved house about four times since i used to use an electric razor so no joy sob sob sob Tthe new tooth brush as dead as a dodo

You think the twat at boots would have mentioned the fact you need a shaving adapter to charge the unit up you go in to Curry's and buy a dvd player for £19 they try and flog you a scart lead for £15 ha ha ha see previous blog....... so on the way home i nipped into Wilkinson's and for the pricley sum of 65p purchased a two pin adaptor so sorted cant wait to fire it up and get to work on the plaque.

I was tempted to chop the two pin plug off and wire up a normal three pin 13amp plug on the end but some how i think that might have invalidated the warrenty .

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

got offered only £7834 severance pay an its not enough for 15 years loyal service so for the time being I'm staying put if i was on my own be loads of cash keep me sorted for a while .rumor is and its posted on the intranet two years full pay if made compulsory redundant so i reckon its best to carry on regardless for the time being at the end of the day i always though that if i was to leave my current post it would be lot further down the road then where i am atm have hopes and dreams .

Still reading the skin gods its a good read and a half decent plot want to get his previous book titled the rosemary murders which reading the back cover seems as good as this one.
the Kaiser chiefs new cd yours truly angry mob is there best to date not one bad track on there.

Paid another visit to Wok-in at Hunslet was ok would have preferred to go to spicemania in the city center sick of chines i have always preferred Indian over Chinese any day of the week and when i was working in Birmingham a few years ago for three weeks fitting a shop out i had a Indian meal at a different restaurant every night and didn't suffer Ghandi's revenge once is this a record hehe . hope she dont want a Chinese this week two much lol

bought a pack of 25 blank dvd - r discs from Leeds city market Verbatim 16x usually buy online forget Pc world and the like what a mark up its amazing how many people still buy from this type of outlet i would have to be desperate to shop at this type of retailer or not know better.

need to get some summer wear sorted out for lounging about walking the dog and going to work in more so more or less a new wardrobe need to be lose and cool need some better shades and a decent water bottle for the bus journey home seeing the heating never goes of and the office i work out of aint got air conditioning going to be doing alot of sweating need a new fan for the bedroom as well we broke it last year and i know we will forget to replace it until you cant find a fan to buy for love or money.

will feel better when the clocks go forward in coming weeks at least will be lighter for longer on a night and can start sitting out on a night with a cold beer watching the bats fly to the church tower and eat tea out on the patio hopefully.want a small portable dvd player so i can watch a film and chill into the night............

All the building work is now complete they do have to do a snaging list but apart from that its all done
i did have three days off last week the electrics including the ceiling fan and switches sockets and outside lights was completed along with all the laminate floor in in the new build the living room and kitchen was done.

All in all everything looks well bought a new sony dvd player and a samsung tv in white I built the table and six chairs only four in use the others are in the shed and the cabinet which holds a cd/mp3 player and my wifes laptop dvd player and dvd 's.

we do need more greenery and some other plants and ferns and other odds and sods like a clock ,mirror I'm not sure about perhaps not and some pot ware ornaments etc etc .

we have ordered a brown three seater leather settee and a leather footstool which is a twelve week delivery but that will appear after all the bits and pieces are finished off and some painting is done on the fresh plaster walls and a general good builders clean is completed on the white pvc frames glass and the roof panels the bricks need doing with a acid wash both inside and out and some glazing beads replacing.we need to sort out blinds as well which i know can cost a fortune last time we got blinds for our old conservatory it was £3800 a waste of money what possessed us i don't know. i don't want to spend any where near that amount £600 - £800 max and the less the better ,

My Sister's finally picked up my Mothers ashes from the funeral directors i bought a silver cherub pill box just after she had died and had some her ashes put in and sealed this purpose in mind when i bought it and there cant be more than a tea spoon full of ash in there but none the less i feel better and somehow i feel she is there with me in what ever shape or form that maybe, i don't class myself as a Norman Bates type at all but if anyone out there wants to buy a rundown motel drop us a line hehe.
It makes me wonder what will happen when i pass away , which of life's compost heap or council rubbish tip's will i end up on will even anyone bother collecting my ashes am i bothered if they don't hopefully that wont be for sometime yet .

The conservatory is coming on well now all the glazing is complete the floor is in ready for the laminate floor covering going in Friday the roof apart from the guttering is finished the back wall hopefully gets plastered tomorrow before the floor is finished off the double patio doors from the room are in place the door that leads in from the kitchen is also in place the radiators second fix on Saturday and the ceiling fan and internal lights Monday the porch should get more work on it in the next few days

Friday, February 23, 2007

Pigged out at the wok-in at dinner time it was someones last day so a few of us headed out for food but no alcohol had two bowls of ice cream to finish off and not forgetting the diet coke to wash it all down with.
Got home and work had started on the porch to the front of the house it really goes up quickly and makes the front of the house really stand out from the other three house's in our row of four

thought the roof looked different to what we had agreed will wait till its done and see if its what we wanted saying that sometimes it is better to go with the flow i thought it was going to be slated to match the roof it looks like it will be plastic will see what wifey says when see gets home.

Back at the Hospital tomorrow looking after the kids ward no rest for the wicked got two days annual leave and two days flexi to get in yippee got some flat pack furniture to build the bathroom to finish off and no doubt some painting to do as well cant wait.

Asda selling ps2 for £50 want one do as a dvd player going to need a new dvd player might have to chat to the wife will still want a x-box 360 as well i think might just go for a ps2 instead the new i-pod phones look wicked 4gig mp3 player to boot and a decent digital camera wont come cheap might get one if i can get a basic contract package deal.

Thursday, February 22, 2007

Conservatory update no work was done Monday or Tuesday work commenced on Wednesday all the windows and doors went up on Wednesday along with the boxed guttering wall side of house and the work on the roof began Thursday all of this was done by a two man team
i think they will complete on time once its all water proof can start putting furniture in and look at leather settee corner unit we have had a couple of sofas and settees from Argos in the past and to be fair they have always been a good quality might look at Argos for price and quality before all these so called designer outlets and stores doing offers all the time

No kids cats OR dogs just a X-box 360 , my I-pod , Dvd and t.v and a cold bottle of Magners please and a perfect sky just bought The Skin Gods by Richard Montanari its set in Philadelphia in cheap motel showers and seedy night clubs along with seedier porno films and serial killers with chainsaws great bed time reading think its sounds like the Nicolas Cage film 8mm along with jigsaw form the saw movies so if the wife goes missing you all know wher i got the idea from hehe
Here are some views on my way to work it changes with the seasons and i think i appreciate walking rather than driving straight to and from work i had the car for a week and a day whilst the kids where on holiday and it only took twenty five minutes max to get home but i did miss my walk into and from town especially if there is anything i need from W.H.Smiths or Borders etc
i which i had a job just constructing wooden brides like this one on new developments i would really like to live near water and all this looks deep its no more than a foot deep and attracts frogs ducks and dragon flies and in summer is usually covered with water lilies you can just see Leeds Parish church on the skyline

All of the dock side development i have seen built and the changing landscape around taking shape in the last six years a basic 1 bedroom apartment with the worlds smallest balcony are on the market for 185k not including parking that comes at a 20k extra or so i have been told.
The royal armouries is on the left off the picture below

My mother passed away one year ago today , so to a dear MUM God and his all his Angels be with you hope you are at peace now and chillin out with Dad and all family friends and relatives that have passed away before us .

My Mum had a hard life her Mother died whilst giving birth to her and her father passed away before she was 2 years old so hopefully they are all now reunited where ever you my be all my love hugs and kisses your loving son Robert xxx
Finished work yesterday and i headed for home my Sister and her Husband was there on his Suzuki motorbike
He took my son out for quick spin on it whilst I had a quick coffee .

Then my son jumped in the car and I headed for the cinema at xscape in Castleford wanting to to go to the 4.20pm showing of Hot Fuzz we both walked up to the kiosk to purchase two tickets when I was asked how old was my son i replied 15 the girl at the kiosk than asked for proof I told her I am his father and that I was vouching that he was of 15 years old.

still no joy with out the proof no tickets i asked what if my son stood out of view and she just sold me two tickets for Hot Fuzz no joy she wouldn't the jumped up little jobs worth she ruined are Sunday afternoon out just because she could.

It is now a mission to get in with my son and watch Hot Fuzz hehe watch this space will try next Sunday instead we had a couple games of air hockey and went to burger king then trotted of home to watch Shaun of the dead on dvd.

Finally finished reading James Patterson's Mary Mary i don't know why it took me so long as its a really good gripping read and i am already wanting his newest novel which previewed at the end of Mary Mary and should be out in the next few months.

Going to the pictures tomorrow with my son to see Hot Fuzz cant wait, will go after i finish work at 4.20 p.m going to xscape to see it might even buy the coke and over priced popcorn wont be the same taking our own hehe.

Got Johnny Depp chocolate factory to watch on dvd and the wilderness might have to wait to watch them a bit to busy atm watching C.S.I tonight and primeval.

Friday, February 16, 2007

Found out today peoples jobs are to go through out the Council because the contract for new deal as not been awarded last year.
they are asking people over 50 who are in the pension if they want v.r volunteer redundancy with 6 and half years added on for those under fifty including myself its severance pay depending on how long you have worked there i have 15 years in.

Last year a friend of mine got offered and left with 24k under his belt he had more years in than me but was on a lower grade and he as not really looked back he is in Europe atm in his mobile home a kon - tiki swift he as emailed me photos and its well cool but not sure it will do more than 15 mile to the gallon he and his wife are just following the sun he did also sell his house for added finance and had other investments like isa's endowments etc he had to cash in for more funding he is a few years younger than me as well .

But at the time i did admire his guts to become a traveler a nomad, hippie or whatever other tag fits his bohemian life he is living atm .

I am not saying this is for me , well it is but the wife would never agree to live this type of life style and we do have children at school age and the dogs , cat etc etc.
to fit in with our plans as well he did'nt it was just him and his good lady.

so its a total different ball game for us anyway but leaving the job i have done for the last 15 years would be life changing in a lot of different ways.

I could keep the weekend job as a regular pay check i would even earn more because my tax allowances would be towards that jobs wages so it would be around £30 a week increase about £150 after tax for 15 hours work .

my superannuation would be frozen from my old job for when i am retired when ever that will finally be.

I could try and fit and install kitchens on free lance basis not unlike like a business or similar work i am a trained city and guilds joiner with cscs card which would sort out the rest of the week Mondays to Fridays i used to fit kitchens all over England for MFI as displays in all the stores showrooms which was nation wide .

if i don't get a kitchen every week so what the eck i still got the weekend job and the severance pay to fall back on i can also get other part time work or full time work as long as it don't interfere with my weekend job life should be sweet life ain't that easy though and will have to give it big thoughts as to what avenue i walk down

All the brickwork is now complete along with the first fix for the electrics lights and five double sockets which we hope is enough but no doubt there will be a couple of trailing extensions in use once its all up and running.
the gas pipes for the central heating either side of the French doors are ready for the radiators and valves to be fitted got to use a freeze pack to freeze the water in there radiators to avoid having to drain down the whole system which will save time , as i have never seen this done i am quite intrigued.

The sleeper walls for the joists are in place and i think the joists will go in once the build is weather proof to the outside elements, the plastic and glass starts is to be fixed this Tuesday , i am not sure how long this will take but i cant it seeing be too long as its more of just fit and fix and it is all pre-made in the factory as long as the measurements are ok then it should all fall in to place.

There is the box guttering to do and the roof is all in sections and should be pretty straight forward the rest of the brick work on the porch will done tomorrow as long as the weather holds.

The concrete foundation is already in place and half the cavity wall is built to the finish level of the existing windows as pictured left had to move the outlet for the dryer but was no big deal i reckon another 3 to 4 weeks and we should be all done and back to normal .

Sunday, February 11, 2007

Not much has happened the last few days no building work as happened over the last few days.
i think they are still constructing the conservatory in the factory and i reckon that will be at least another week the brick work should only now take another two days if the weather permits the laying of bricks and mortar.

would really like a job at Ikea , doing the kitchen and bedroom displays it would have to be mainly in the Leeds store,
why iam not too sure i use to do similar for MFI years ago fitting out displays all over England and really liked the work i would like to do the same but without the traveling.

it would mean leaving my job of 15 years and it might be all a pipe dream i do think i am at a stage when i am just board with the way things are panning out and want to make changes and wipe the slate clean and start again also i would have to drive to and from work each day which beats getting the bus it would be about a 30 min drive,

another big plus is i do love the Swedish meatballs they serve in store and the hot dogs so dinner tea and supper would be sorted hehe and also by trade i am a qualified joiner , i bet the money and over time would be decent there is no over time in my present job and i could also pack my Hospital job that i do on the weekends which would make life more sweet.

will phone up tomorrow and inquire if they have any vacancies and take it from there...........

Been bugging the wife would really like a x-box 360 for various reasons , i can get one flashed plus ten games for a really good price of £270 nearly giving it away and i do like gaming when the mood takes me , i don't go out drinking or gambling or chase loose women, also i have stopped smoking two years ago in March i work seven days a week and i don't ask for much.

apart from tech stuff sush as pc's with wireless connections and broadband connections ,dongles card readers and memory sticks (well cheap now anyway be a fool not to have two or three knocking about the place), bluetooth essential with mobile phones , psp's and i-pods digital cameras etc etc etc .i have not even mentioned getting vista upgrade for windows xp yet save that one for later on lol.

I take £2.50 a day to work i have a metro card for the bus so all i have to buy is food when i want a magazine a book cheap dvd cd etc i get it on the debit card.

all in all i don't moan we will have quite a few quid left when the extension is paid for and is fully furnished which my wife will have carte blanch on just about which i again i don't mind.

But yet all i ask for is a x-box 360 is this so unreasonable i do have a ordinary x-box so why she asks do i want want yet another one , i say that principle only applies to f --cking wifes hehe and not to technology god bless her ..................................

The Brickwork part of the build should be completed by next Tuesday had to alter some gas pipes so they can go under the joists along with the wife o/j no one call the police lol the plumber is charging £25 a hour or part hour worked he want at least £50 if we wanted the wife rid off hehe , i hope he don't scratch his Porsche taking out his pipe bending machine and the rest of his money making machine hehe as long as he don't blow the house up and want paying for his dinner breaks hehe.

Its been forecast on the council internet site that its a 60% chance we are getting snow by Thursday so i guess a heatwave is heading its way up north to Leeds i hope so can,t wall bricks if its too cold.

Had an important meeting at work and i totally forgot to attend it, talk about snubbing the main man rather a bit like a devout catholic giving the pope the finger he might get over it by Christmas the boss not the pope that is.

The fact is he is never at our base anyway and he works the other side of Leeds but he was in early on this morning because i saw him and wished him good morning why then the pillock could not have reminded me about the so called drop everything important bloody meeting with lashings of ginger beer the Pratt the man bloody still wears ultravox trousers yeah the ones with the zippers on the pockets so his tissue dont fall out with his blackberry organizer strapped on to his belt...........beam me up scotty , the tosser and basically I'm getting a bollocking for not attending a meeting because i was out getting a £2500 job outcome the meeting i was to attend is to discuss the outcome of is extra duties i do and nothing in common with my main duties iam contracted to do or outcomes i have to achieve,

Worst part of it all is i missed the meeting i was out just driving about Leeds listening to Galaxy and just basically tossing it off i called in home to pick my mobile phone i had put it on charge the night before and i didn't pick it back up silly me.

I also went to a butchers i know along the way where the pork pies are outta this world or as good as they get i also got an apple slice as well and was in no rush to get back to base not exactly pedal to the metal unless where talking break and it was only when i got back to work i found out my error oops they can only sack me once hehe everyone else thought i was cool hehe after they all had pissed them selfs laughing at my expense. the wife didnt see the funny side i explained it help if you had a sense of humour to start with, the words was lost on her hehe.

Atm been listen to Primal Scream albums dirty hits and screamadelica vanishing point and riot city blues i didn't realize what a wicked group they are anybody out their not really listened to them got out and get scremadelica.

Had today off work as a flexi day did nothing washed the car and watched the Sentinel on dvd with Michael Douglas and Keifer Sutherland and Kim Basinger overall it was ok did fall asleep but i normally do if i get too comfy.

They Started on the electrics
on the extension just primely running out the cable deciding where the sockets are going which amount to five double sockets the floor is going to be joists and timber instead of concrete which i do prefer.

Got work tomorrow at the Hospital so all I'm doing now is cooking my wifes tea taking my dog out and jumping into the bath .Have a few bottles of Bud and bed

Wednesday, January 31, 2007

Things are going alright with the build and the brickie john whom is training to become an electrician he goes to college on a Friday is up to sill height and is progressing along nicely no major problems have occurred and no work as of yet as begun on the porch.

booked Friday off got to see if i can book the car in for its initial 1000 mile service think they lend us a c1 which will be fun to take for a spin want to go to spicemania and to sports world to get some black Diadora polo shirts for work which will make the wifey happy as she does not have to iron them need another half dozen,
i also need to buy some navy blue t - shirts for my hospital job as the ward is too warm when i have to wear the heavy duty polo shirts they supply.

considering getting a x-box 360 already flashed with ten games for £270 want to play gears of war and extreme condition not sure why these two games appeal to me they just do must grow up one day hehe and go on a diet and take more exercise etc etc .

Was my Daughter's 16th birthday last Saturday she and her girlfriends went out for a curry no parents and no inviting her younger brother who's 14th birthday is tomorrow .i was pretty pissed of i thought she could have invited him but she wouldn't no way,she we took him to the Toby carvery and had a pig out we both had the gammon with roast parsnips swede and roast potatoes i like my parsnips covered with honey which they don't do and then for desert he had ice cream sundae with all the trimmings plus 2 flakes and i had the fudge cake with pouring cream as always if nothing i am predictable.

Sun day after i had finished my shift at the hospital i took him to xscape at Castleford and went to Cineworld to see Rocky Balboa the 6th rocky film Sylvester Stallone as aged well but if it was made another couple of years down the line it wouldn't have been that believable it was as good as any of the other rocky films and it was a good film to close the Rocky saga.

2 cokes and a large popcorn for £7.90 am i getting like my dad complaining to my son ain't that dear compared to what you can get else where unlike my dad i was stupid enough to pay the price he would have gone without.

i can remember my dad not buying coffee in a cafe because the price they was asking he could have gone out and bought a full jar of the stuff Nescafe as well and supped it at home.
the bungee jumping at xscape cost £4.00 for 5 minutes he as four people on most of the time thats £192 a hour he is making if my maths is right ,i bet he is jumping for joy.

The builder didn't come yesterday but came today all the rubbish was cleared and the footings was dug out the front of the house looks like a building depot all the bricks was dropped off and two bags of building sand hopefully the concrete will go in for the footings tomorrow then i think they will have a day off for the concrete to set before they start laying any bricks for the cavity walls .

Have got to admit so far so good and they are working really hard and causing us minimum mess and distress and hopefully this will continue through out the build and it will run without any major problems or delays fingers crossed watch this space

They started dismantling the conservatory today one man came and commenced to demolish it unaided hopefully in a few weeks we will be smelling fresh paint the weather will be the biggest headache until its a sealed unit again we might be lucky and not have that much bad weather once the footings are in and the brickwork up the rest should be plain sailing fingers crossed.

Sunday, January 21, 2007

The sale of the conservatory as fallen through so we tried to sell it on eBay no joy so it looks like it will end up in the skip we even tried to give it away to our next door nieghboughs they didn't want it and its in very good condition with sandersons blinds the full Monty.

It is being dismantled tomorrow and the work on the new one should start weather permitting anyway its all systems go.

The building work is not going to start monday after all, what with the Christmas holiday and the weather the builders are running behind schedule so hopefully it will give us a extra couple of weeks to sort out lighting indoor and out the central heating and other stuff and to get more prepeared in general

the bathroom has just cost over £2000 and after the extension is paid for the money we made on the rented property we sold is going down faster than the England cricket squad..
didsell the old conservatry on to a work mates son for a £1000 along with the blinds flooring he as to collect and hopefully he will get it to his house without any hitch which should cover the cost af a half decent tv plus a new dvd and x-box 360.

Thursday, January 11, 2007

Back at work and hating every minute, cant get back into the swing of things and i'm clock watching most of the day .

yesterday went up to Rothwell Park and then to Roundhay Park so it was a nice few hours driving around and taking in the scenery and out of the office away from the desk and the mundane tasks involved in the day to day grind.

The bathroom re-fit is almost complete a bath panel left to do and there is quite a few tiles that will need replacing and i suppose i will have to fit this work into my busy schedule of things to do hard when i work 7/7.

The extension was suppose to start next week the builders which are doing the brickwork are behind with other builds due to the Christmas period and bad weather so fair dues cant kick of on one as long as its built right why worry give us time to get the bathroom back to spec will need the flooring sorting out as well and a few other fittings new light mirrors towel rail toilet roll holder etc etc.

New issue of Stuff magazine should be out now need to call in to Borders to pick up some reading materials as its taking longer on the bus these days it can take well over hour to get home a hour then i have the wife bitching i have been to the pub i wish , would be cool being in the pub than waiting for bus that dont turn up , think i will have to start taking my son's psp watch to watch a movie on the way home or play underground need for speed carbon the only game we have atm .

Kicking arse on Prince of Persia getting a level done every couple want splinter cell chaos theroy next can pick it up from computer exchange for £4 if it anit throwing it down at dinner time might have a walk in to town and pick it up its always too busy on a night when i leave work.

went on Evac training which is using a chair that can be operated by one person to enable a disabled person usaly who is confined to a wheel chair to be safely removed down any number of corridors and staircases to safety of the outdoors etc.
called into computer exchange and got the splinter cell game chaos theory i was after called into Ainsley's and got a danish pastry for coffee break.

the works canteen had chicken curry on the menu for lunch which i shouldn,t have had it with half rice and chips got to say was the best meal they have done in weeks. They recently have had a refit which got rid of the mouse's nesting under the kitchen unit plinths beggars beliefs, still knowing what i know i really should take sarnies.

Monday, January 08, 2007

Started back at work today after the Christmas break had to happen had a long time off ,still had not a bad weekend took lad up to Bumpys at Morley which was ideal for any young person wanting to start out motorbike riding it was £25 for a one hour lesson that includes everything from the bike a Kawasaki 125 helmet boots the lot both my son and myself was well impressed by the commitment of staff to the general facility's of the place.

my son had never ridden a bike without an automatic clutch before and he was quite nervous but he was fine and only stalled the bike once and didn't once part company with the bike we are definitely going back you can join pay for a years subscription i think it costs around £15 then you only pay £5.00 every time you want to ride providing you have your own bike and need no tuition.

sunday finished ripping out the garden sorted the bathroom out getting a new bathroom suite put in starting today hopefully will only take two days three days tops will have some tiling to redo which i can manage myself .

Wednesday, January 03, 2007

Just beat klompa first boss on Prince of Persia two thrones it was bleeding hard work though and i was getting a bit cheesed off as he has took some beating ,not sure if i am liking this game its to dark in places its pitch black and you cant see which way to go you have to feel your way in the dark its not good game play as such and its just plain annoying and of course the graphics are rubbish when you cant see the surrounding area a good way to lessen the cost of making the game in the first place.will stick with it if i can .

started ripping the garden to pieces took down the pagoda and took out the fish pond moved all the ferns and plants and took the rubbish to the skip which ain't that easy when you only got a C2 cut all the wood up into 2 foot pieces and bagged them up,

work starts on the extension on the 15th on the 8th we are having a new bathroom suite put in we do have the worlds smallest bathroom its just a bit longer then a length of a bath and the width is the bath width plus a wash basin with about a spare 6" at least it saves on lino and is easy to clean.

watched Crank it was ok i liked it was a change from most of the films i have seen recently and i thought the story line was different and it was quite funny in parts so when there is nothing happening on the telly go and rent it .

still no work till Monday yippee ,then its back to the grind and hustle bustle of council life got the forms to fill out for my yearly metro card the council needs three months to process them hehe my old one doesn't run out till April its not all tea and biscuits its coffee and muffins in our office .

Monday, January 01, 2007

Did the Christmas shop yesterday at Asda went without a hitch was not that busy though it was going to be crazy apart from the cost was there and back in 2 hours.
Got the turkey crown and a piece of gammon and sweet potatoes for our Christmas lunch which we will have Boxing day and got all the Indian food and side dishes which we will have on Christmas day.

My Wife got me to chase up a Sony Ericsson mobile phone she had ordered from Curry's costing £160 plus postage which she paid for using a debit card , she had ordered it by phone and not online it was supposed to have been delivered and by tea time Friday no sign so i called Curry's help line which i got the number of the internet and made the call .
when i got through i gave them the order number no such number existed ? and got told it was a product number not a order number so i gave them my postal code it showed up no records for that address i gave up.

when my wife came home from work i told her it looked like the order had not been processed.

I asked her to check with the bank online statements to see if a payment had been made to curry's thats when we found out she had bought it from Comet and not Curry's oops

Walked into town at dinner time went looking for bag charms what they are suppose to charm and why have them i have no idea, bit like phones charms i guess its just a way to be different when everyone as the same bag or phone trouble is everybody ends up with the same charms i guess its best to make your own needles to say i bought one from Tie Rack they had a offer on buy one get the cheaper one half price so i ended up with two both was £9.99.

Found out some sad news today a close friend at work has been diagnosed with throat cancer it is in his lymphoid glands in his throat as well which i know is not a good sign .

He starts treatment this Friday after he has been to the dental hospital to check out his teeth before they will commence any cancer treatment they after to make sure that he will need no dental work until the end of his course of chemotherapy and radiation treatment which must completed before any further dental work can be carried out .

So if you can all send a pray for him for a speedy and full recovery it would be much appreciated and hopefully he will be around to see Christmas 2007 etc etc etc thanks.

Monday, December 18, 2006

Finished work Saturday picked up dragon bracelet what had been altered they have done a perfect job and worth the £20 alteration fee they charged.

my wife took our son into town and bought him some Adidas track suit bottoms Reebok tops and other various t-shirts and hoodies all at bargin prices from the various sport outlets in Leeds.

Hopefully all what is left to do regarding Christmas is to finish off writing the cards and wrapping a few presents up.

Do the food and beer run which hopefully will be this Saturday at Asda which no doubt will be manic, at least its only once a year .

We normally buy different Indian curries side dishes and starters nan breads for our Christmas day dinner we have done this for at least the last ten Years the kids have usually eaten too much chocolate or are not that fussed for a massive some beers have been consumed naturally so we are ready for something spicy

we can put it in the oven and within 30 miniutess its ready to eat no one is wasting Christmas day having to spend it in the kitchen slaving over a hot stove.
Then on boxing day we have Christmas day lunch usually a turkey crown with roasted parsnips done in honey and roast potatoes mash potatoes plus sweet potatoe and Swede little sausages with bacon chestnut stuffing and Yorkshire puddings with cranberry sauce and gravy .

the dogs cat get a fair share of the turkey and are quite happy eating it for a few days after .

my twin Sister is coming boxing day and will be the firstChristmass since our mother died which we will have without here she said for the last 20 years at every chritmas dinner this year will be my last chritmas she was right when she said it last year it was a standing joke and she was 87 when she passed away i don't think she had any doubts her time was neighh so hopefully there wont be too many tears and hopefully she will be enjoying Christmass with people gone on before her fingers crossed we will all meet up in the end ..........

It was nine thirty there where very few people about so much for Leeds being the capital of the North and it also gave us a chance to see some more of the lights you cant see from the road.

My son is fourteen in January and i cant wait until we go into town for a curry and a pint hopefully he will be game and hopefully it will be something we do on a monthly basis fingers crossed.

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

Had a good buy on eBay bought x-box game prince of Persia twin thrones for £4.20 plus £2.50 p&p and its brand new still in the cellophane wrapper £34.99 in the shops.
I will be playing it over thChristmasas period break breaking up on the 22nd of December and not back till January 2008 yipee have got to work new years weekend but can live with that.

My Wife as finally bought her Christmas present from me a black leather bag from River Island
also i bought her a bottle of euphoria perfume.

Took the Silver dragon bracelet i also got on ebay in to Ace jewellerys in Leeds (by the time you get to the top of the stairs you need oxygen ) for resizing.
didn'td'nt think it would be a big apparentlyntly its not that easy because silver needs to be heated upto a htemperatureture and because it has black highlights in the silver once its heated to a very high temp it acts like its polishing the silver and leaves it really bright as long as it fits and looks ok then tis fine with me , costing £20 to carry out the work which aint that bad i guess.

Someone bought the first lot of mince pies in to the office for everyone to share hope its snowballs and evertrays trys to do out each other with better mince pies visited Costco yesterday and they are selling 2 box's of mince pies flavoured with single scotch malt whiskey yum yum @ £6.99 .

Still need to sort out christmas lights for the front garden usally put them on the bush well its twigs now its lost all its leaves till spring got the wreath for the door last week then its count down till the food shop .

Friday, December 08, 2006

Left the office to go and visit an employer at Woodhouse near the University so i decided to have steady walk we are near the Royal Armouries at Clarence Dock and also it would give me an excuse to vist a couple of shops along the way.
i made it to the side of the market where the best Fish Shop in Leeds is i know because we used to walk into town from school for our dinner and spend the school dinner money usually on fishcakes and chips or if we where flush fish and chips they was good then and are just as good now,Only thing i did not opt for was the panda pop or if i remember cresta pop........ its frothy man if you can remember than you are as old as me or older hehe.

Friday, December 01, 2006

Yesterday we went to pick our new c2 up my wife started our Rover 25 only to find that it was completely dead as a dodo not a flicker bit like the wife in the bedroom so i had no choice but to call out GreenFlag luckily we have home start for the car not the wife .

The nice man from Green Flag got to our address within 20 mins and and soon as he got behind the wheel and guess what yeah the damned thing started , ah but when he switched it of and re tried it was as completely dead as it had been for my wife when she tried to fire it up .

apparently it was a immobilizer fault and we had to switch it off and on with the key fob to get it to work right .

we did get it to the showroom and we did pick our new motor up got to say the little c2 is quite impressive always remember the 2cv hehe but got to say Citroen have got their shit together and from our early driving experiences are more than happy hopefully we will still think like that in months to come the only problem we had is one of the keys didn't spring out when you pressed the release button so they are getting us a new one apart from that everything else sorted.

Hopefully there will be no major problems other than the wife will get to drive it more than me i have a metro card lucky me

Wednesday, November 29, 2006

Late last night i put a bid on eBay for a 925 solid silver dragon bracelet i placed a maximum bid as well when i logged of they was still six hours to go and they had been also another 6 other bidders.

i really didn't expect to get any where near the final bid when i checked this morning i found out i had won it i reckon i have got it for at least half price what some of the others have gone for good old eBay the eBay shop i bought it from have had over 3000 sales with 100% positive feed back so i reckon there is no way its not coming to England via air mail in about 14 days time if I'm lucky.

Went to Reg Vardy Citroen delarship to look at C2's had a really nice basic c2 trouble was the seat height adjustment is not fitted so it would mean my wife would have to have a cushion taped to her arse so she could see over the steering wheel to drive it so we ended up buying a c2 Furio which as adjustable seats where you can move it forward and back and also adjust the height as well not much to ask for.

We took it for a test drive and it was adequate even though we went for 1100cc engine i would have preferred a 1400 not for the extra speed which wouldn't be that much faster just because of normal wear and tear i would guess the bigger then engine the better it would cope with the modern city driving of stopping and starting get stuck in traffic all the time during rush hour etc.

Anyway we was sold we paid the deposit and pick it up tomorrow afternoon we got £1500 trade in for our rover theminimumm trade in allowance was £800 anyway i was more than happy with the trade in offer and considered it more than fair.

Tuesday, November 28, 2006

These two little rascals can go to the highest bidder check out eBay special offers buy one get one free hehe just don't tell the wife happy bidding o/l joking of course they are priceless and not for sale for no amount of cash the wife on the other hand hehe will trade for a dish washer some one who likes music and dont watch tv every night and as a bit of a sex drive lol .

well its coming up to Christmas and i bet this year will be no different she will end up using every cooking utensil to cook and eat Christmas dinner, from every plate, pot, baking tray ,Yorkshire pudding tray and roasting tin the lot even the gravy boat will come out and the wine glasses why we cant just have a bottle each i don't know and it goes without saying its me who does the washing up which i don't mind as long as I'm by myself, alone no one interfering ie the wife o/j not.

what bugs me is when someone comes behind you and chucks items into the washing up bowl ie the wife ......Why am i not capable are you being such a big help you really think its assisting me in some why shape or form i do hate it i want to scream also i have got to rinse everything off with hot water before they go anywhere near the washing up bowl once i have washed every thing then its got to be rinsed off with hot water before i allow to stand to dry off and i definitely don't wont use tea towels .

The mechanic who fixed the head casket on our car a Rover 25 took it back to flush the coolant system out and re add the anti freeze and was surprised how much oil it had used in the short time we have had it back and considering the amount of miles we do he thinks its the start of major problems.

As a result of this he has advised us to get rid asp, Del boys Reliant Robin would be a better buy or even a car from Arthur Daley, so it does look like we are going to have to trade it in pretty sharp been thinking of getting a citroen C2 of course would like the new model corsa but the Citroen will work out cheaper to buy insure and and run etc .

so the first port of call will be the citroen dealership atm the are offering £1700 cash back if you do the deal before30thh November will have to hurry only three days to go not sure if i want to rush in that quick ummmmmmmmmm.

Have finally sold my other house we was expecting them to demand a reduction in the sale price due to the fact that the person buying it from us put in a offer five thousand over the asking price, why I'm not sure it was not worth more than the asking price and if the truth is known we was happy to reduce it even further to sell a vacant property which we was paying the mortgage on.

Even after the survey which must have found the electric wiring was not up to scratch and the damp coming in through the attic roof the original price held so we are more than happy to have this of our hands.

We now have a desirable amount of cash in our bank account more than we could have hoped for when eight years ago when we moved out of the house and took on another mortgage for the house we are in now, we would have had to have sold it for six thousand pounds less than we bought it for so much for investing inproperty and negative equity but saying that, even if we had broke even we would have been more than happy at the time to have had a buyer and sell it just to get it out of our hair.

Anyway we can now get on with the our plans for the extension to our house which is to include a porch to the front of the house and extension /conservatory to the rear of the property in all for the building work for both projects will come in at 20k the conservatory is going to have solid walls on each end with small open sash windows to the top of the walls.
the roof to be traditional double hipped roof with a box guttering to the rear.

The front to have traditional French patio doors to the outside and the interior doors hopefully it will be a big improvement all round will have to sort the Ariel out for sky and might have to tweak the wireless set up out again but can live with that hassle .

The interior brickwork is being left exposed without any plaster just pointing off the existing house wall will be plastered .

At least it all wont commence before Christmas and will start mid January 2007 good time to furnish it with all the New Year sales on

Had a KFC in the White Rose Shopping centre once the skin is eaten throw the chicken away got to admit do like KFC gravy full of fat so had a diet coke to wash it all down that was after we had been round most of the shops i did buy some black Lacoste trainers only because both of my white trainers bought in the summer look too grubby to go out in anywhere half decent and also for best a pair of black jeans from Topman for twenty quid .

Watched Pirates of the Caribbean dead mans chest which i feel asleep half way through and scary movie four which i thought was utter rubbish.

Went for the quaterly visit to the barbers which for some reason was closed so i had to pay double at a hair dressers got to admit i did end up with a better cut but who cares its going to grow again .

Worked over last night and was really late getting in i feed my dog which is a Jack Russell and is the most friendly dog in the whole of the UK .

Other dogs will bark at it,and it just wags its tail near children its joyful and lick lick licking.

When it eats it goes out for a walk to near by woods fields depending on what time and how dark it is ,we just got out of the drive and a loud explosion went off it was of course it a firework it was no where near the dog but she hates them and the noise terrifies her even if it is obvious no where near us i guess dogs must be able to judge distance when they hear and she must know its not in the vicinity and no immediate threat, but every time she does a roundabout turn and heads for the safety of her bed or home

No amount of comforting petting or kind words will get her to carry on with her walk. This was about 9:00pm midnight i am sat in bed and realized i never took her back out i had no choice but to get dressed and let her go for a walk she was suppose to go on earlier.

I also found out tonight that a old guy down on the allotments had fireworks thrown into his pigeon coup this man who is well in to retirement and lives for his pigeons he attends to them daily is down there at first light letting them fly feeding them and mucking out and general digging, planting, reaping and sowing and another 101 things in the day to day up keep of his allotment plot this is in sun rain wind hail what ever the weather.

Now the idiot or idiots thugs delinquents who did this might have shortened a old mans life no doubt he is in terrible shock, and from what i have been told a few of his birds have died as a result of this action so why cant fireworks be banned and if people want to celebrate the act of a terrorist then let them at official displays.,

His biggest worry now is this going to happen again this year if not next year and so on he cant live down there 24/7 and he knows as soon as its unguarded then there is a window of opportunity for it to happen again.

If we do ban the sale of fireworks ,mini bombs perhaps no more cruelty to animals or pets will occur neither will any child suffer as a result of burns and mindless pranks.........

BATTERIES

MONDAY - Bank Holiday I go back to work tonight  work is getting worse really cant be arsed do what I have to do even that is hard work mot...
