Above and below are photos by Eugene De Salignac (1861–1943) an American photographer who worked for the Department of Bridges/Plant and Structures in New York, they are here mainly because i like photos of bygone eras to to see changes from then to now , and of course these are great photos , the top one i have set as my desk top.

Well Helen's at work after yesterdays and saturdays down pours it's not looking any better for today. So much for summer vastly over rated high expectations only get washed away in the wind and the rain.

Still not made my mind up when i want to take some time off September is not looking good August fully booked so October if we have a Indian summer might not be that bad,if Helen is working be little point as i will still be getting up to take her to work .

Need to start buying presents to put away for Christmas it will be here before we know it, as every year it sneaks up on us and we are always last minute shopping i am pretty sure Helen would like a i-pad , well anyone who as not got one would not be disappointed if they received one as a gift ,she keeps on about buying a Kindle so she can read e/books i just keep telling her to get a tablet and not bother with a Kindle as it is limited to what it can do even the fire is not that brilliant, and of course if i get her a i-pad i can also buy her a nice case and a stand a speaker dock and headphones even a i-tunes voucher so she can get some books to put on it a excellent gift, its Helen's birthday three days after Christmas.

I have to go back to the shop again where we got the Converse they are suppose to come with two sets of laces one in cream and one set in grey Helen had a cram one missing typical its me who as to go and whinge about a missing lace ,the things you do for Love.

I was in the HMV shop the other day in town i am always nipping in and out it was amazing how much Beatles's memorabilia they are selling the Beatles last single was Let it be in 1970 42 years ago they was selling different coffee cups .t-shirts .messenger bags , coasters , badges , books and key rings plus of course all the albums on CD in box sets , i would have been a teenager when the last single was in the charts ,how nostalgic sometimes bygone time are not gone they are very much a part of our lives , we are on about going back to the Beatles museum at the Albert docks Liverpool (PICTURE BELOW) this weekend.
