NEW HUB

Went to Asda filled the cards tank up  with petrol got to remember it is not diesel 14 miles on the clock by the end of the day I had hit treble figures , all cars start life as new yet soon after a few years become wrecks its weird to think that something so well made and sturdy become rust  buckets.

Bought some timber to make a mail box it is all rough sawn cost me four quid I  got some slate for the roof we already had as well as hinges I also bought 5 litres of creosote it should be ok .

Cooked some nice steak for tea with jacket potatoes and three cheese spread was very nice I got to admit it was cooked to perfection .

Helen made me a strawberry fruit pie which was just like my mum use to bake when I was a small child .

The new Bt hub came to day set it up 2 x laptops , two tablets and two phones as well as two fire sticks all connected plus the Amazon Echo so far so good the connection seems to be better .

RUNNING SMOOTH

SATURDAY - Got home from work at half two in the morning so glad it is Friday it's been a long long week so glad it is also payday .
After all the rain yesterday today is sunny but cool hopefully by midday it will be hotter .

Went food shopping to the tune of £179 which did not seem we was going over board throwing stuff in to the trolley .Also bought fish food , dog food and cat food .

MONDAY Went to collect the new car from Skoda got down to the showroom it was shut realizing it was a bank holiday checked online it was open it was .
My sale assistant Lee arrived just after half past ten went over to Toby Carvery for a coffee whilst he got the car ready .When we got to the showroom it was under cover ,Helen and I pulled the cover off revealing the car underneath , we set the phones up and he went through some of the controls I also got the spare tyre from my car as new cars don't have spares so all went smoothly it also had half a tank of petrol , got to say it drives very smoothly and is ok

Only thing spoiling it is I had to go to work starting at six for a bank holiday it was hot on the plus side I have the rest of the week off result .

CLAIMING CLAIMS

This week is going way  too slow working until the early hours makes the shift long but the time spent at home is also better gives me longer to chill out .
After this bank holiday I am off annual leave for a whole six days with the new car need to give it a run out to the coast .

Last night of filming  at the A&E Department staff who appear on film  in  the back ground if it is televised  get £1 for every occurrence which donated to the hospital by ITV cheap skates ITV not sure what else they are paying for filming hopefully it'd been worth while and the money will benefit the hospital and not just gets allowed up in the running costs of the hospital.

Went to Wentworth garden centre bought some lupins and other plants for the garden was also given a plastic compost bin from Ken across the way.

FRIDAY - It is raining for the first time in ages my last shift off the week then the weekend then working bank holiday and rest of the week off hope the weather improves .

Have been constantly phoning BT our internet provider up about the connection being slow and it dropping they have agreed to send us out the newest smart hub version 6 we have version 4 so hopefully things will improve once we receive it through the post .
Also got a call from PPI I have been sold it years ago and have a claim against the bank not sure for how much will have to wait .

I also have a claim in at British Gas over a service plan I was paying and not benefitting from when I had to get a private gas engineer out to fit a new sump the British Gas engineers said was not needed.

The new Snow Patrol album that is out today sounds pretty good listening to it via Spotify .

LIVE TV

Had about five and a half hours sleep got home just after half two in the morning and up just after eight .

Went food shopping at Morrison's bought two beef pasties , freshly baked apple pie , four  fruit scones , two freshly baked loafs of bread , a water melon , a box of black grapes ,  honey roasted peanuts , sliced ham , a fill your own salad bowl , four chocolate eclairs all for £17:27p not bad I also noticed that the sell Rattler cloudy cider three bottles for a fiver .

Our A&E department and Resus  is being filmed over the next three night staring Davina McCall it is live but there is a fifteen minute delay.

It looks really different seeing it through the lens of a camera there is four itv trucks to help withe the broadcast it all runs smoothly all the staff dedicated and professional truly amazing .

CAR AND EX'S

Had a call from the car dealership my Skoda Fabia had landed at the showroom a transporter had dropped it off that morning . The dealership had not had a velvet red colour before in the showroom I was told that they all agreed the colour  looked stunning ,I  got to admit I agreed with the sun shining down its a lot shinny then white Skoda that I am driving at the moment .

My Ex wife has two tumours on her lung which of course is not good on the positive side it is only stage one  ,  both Helen and myself wish her all the best and we both hope that she is strong and battles on , that will hopefully lead to her making a full recovery and what ever treatment she needs is quick and successful for her.She will be staying with my daughter in Leeds whilst she is receiving treatment .

All next week I am doing six - two shifts plus the following bank holiday Monday all ready worked one bank holiday this month , then I am off for six days including the weekend .

SATURDAY
Lazy day did nothing much the sun was out sat in the garden listening to podcasts .

SUNDAY
Cleared some of the garden at the back whilst Helen cooked a Sunday dinner of roast pork filled five blue Ikea bags with weeds and brambles then had a shower then dinner .

Late went to my daughters house Helen had her hair cut and coloured and I had mine cut we also had a Chinese as it was quite late my daughters ex boyfriend the father of her son we have not seen him since the split he called round early evening which went ok ,was strange seeing him after the last few months .

I am now picking my car up a week this Monday which will be a bank holiday .

SUN , ELEPHANT AND BUFFET

cleaned  the fish tank and filter everything is  cleaned took out and changed over  three quarters of the water that was in the tank  it has been a good two  months since we did a full  clean . I Also took out the Seachem  Purigen filtration which removes waste I need to bleach it clean this will take 24 hours to regenerate the media hopefully all goes well of course I need to make sure l of the bleach is removed before putting it back into the tanks filter  fingers crossed.After over night the particles are back to nearly white I don't think they will get any whiter or cleaner but will leave them a few more hours .

Washed the car the sap from the trees get on all of the windows it is easier enough to get of it just makes the car look tacky .

Had fish and chips in the car again this Saturday night again we took bread and butter from home to go with the meal .

SUNDAY - Went to visit my sister in the afternoon in the evening Helen had a reading to do for a work friends mother , I sat in the car watching Steve McQueen in Bullet .

MONDAY - Did the paperwork for the finance for the new car all is  completed I also got the reg number for the motor I get the car  a week this coming Friday I take delivery  .
Went to the farm shop bought a couple of burgers and a onion for dinner had cheese burgers in bread cakes with tomato relish .
Took the dogs to Dovestone Reservoir the sun was out and the sky blue there is no better place for the distance we have to travel to get there with the vast expense of water and a back drop of green forests it is idyllic ,  they both went paddling in to the water .

In the evening we went to the Aagrah at Thornbury Bradford for a evening buffet , it was my Nephews Mark 50th birthday the food was good I just had plates of starters including  chicken tikka , kebabs , lamb chops spicy roast  potatoes and chunks of beef and a selection of deserts the food was spicy and quite hot but the presentation and amount excellent .

NOTHING DOING

Need to get some bottles of Rattler cider it is strong and nice cold and very refreshing I could easily demolish a crate or two over the weekend specially if we get the barbecue going .

The hottest May bank holiday since records began , and I am at work typical .

Went to the garden centre and bought flowers to the tune of £40  for the hanging baskets that we have scattered around the van .

It has been a boring week cleaned all the concrete our static van stands on using a yard brush and Jeye's fluid its come up like new , of course ideally a pressure washer would have been better but  this was the cheaper alternative way .

Work has been work enough said my Nephew is 50 on Monday how time flies .

Saturday - Removed  the glass panel from the cooker to clean it the top screw does not go back as it should the bottom one locates and screws down fine the top one does not wish I had left it only .

Washed the car going over to Tintwhistle Helen as a couple of readings she also is doing one on Sunday hope they go ok for her .

Three films I want to see on the big screen in no particular order are as follows the all  new Jurassic Park , Alien and Predator movies bet we don't manage one .

Off Monday annual leave I also go to sign the finance papers for the new car at ten am should get it a week on Friday .

BLEW IT

Cleaned  out the garden shed it is a breeze block structure with double glazed windows and a white pvc door it has its own power and lighting and it has its own alarm with key fob entry .

Helen decided to clean the kettle that is in there she brought it inside added washing up liquid and switched it on to boil , this was whilst I was at work the kettle must have boiled over the water went behind the base units where there is a socket for the washing machine and cooker it blew the socket apparently water was everywhere along with soap suds .

So today I swapped the double socket for a new one and all is good why Helen decided to clean the kettle in this way I have no idea , another blonde moment .

Went to fish shops  for tea early supper we had not eaten all day we got them on a tray and ate them in the car we also took our own bread and butter and knife and forks .

DONE

The  bird table is done I really should have drawn it out on paper before I started making it ,  but it was more like do it now and design it as I went along but saying that it is not too bad it is done and pegged into the ground just in case it is a bit top heavy .

The new car if I get it will be a velvet red Skoda Fabia with a black roof and black wing mirrors and black alloys it looks cool I hope when they said it be new they mean new as in this years model originally it was going to be a factory build , but this model is in stock I am hoping it is this years stock and model  .Will find out tomorrow when I go down to the show room hopefully I am not being done .

Next job a letter post box for the top of the fence this I might draw out before hand I do have some slate for the roof .
