HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well it is the last day of 2014 tomorrow is a new year and a  new beginnings i do hope so , and i hope it is not a case of a new year same old shit going on.
I do doubt that and  i do hope for new happenings for me and everyone out there , some of it is down to us and some of it is down to circumstance and fate , there is a load of people who did not make it and because of that we should endeavour to live life to the fullest and not just plod on .

What i want for 2015 - is for our cat Alfie to finally kick the shit out of his cat flu virus and to be fit and healthy he must be one seriously pissed of cat .

To leave this cottage and move to pastures new a certain static home in Flockton would be a dream come true this is still available hopefully it will still be on the market in March when we will put a offer to buy on it .

Helen to finally pass her driving test and be road legal to drive us around so i can see the scenery you don't always see when your behind the wheel  .

My daughters baby which is due to be  born in March for it to be born healthy and to have a great life .
For the rest of family and close  friends to be healthy happy and contended.

Helen continues to improve her medium skills and that she gets truly recognised as an astounding psychic every year she seems to do better and meet new people and friends as a result of doing one to one readings.

To see my Son to carry on working in his job and to see him more in 2015 that i did in 2014 .

to have some sort of getaway break or holiday even if it is in the U.K .

That i continue to work and earn money hopefully in a new job as i am getting fed up of the job that i am doing along with everyone else who i work with.

To read more books and listen to more new bands and watch more new films to eat at new restaurants and inns and to go to the cinema.

To make more of the weekends specially in the summer months

Find more vlogs and blogs to watch read and follow  .

to travel further south and to travel further north than what we have done previously including going to Wales .

WISHING YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR , AND ALL THE BEST FOR 2015.

STRANDED

All the snow and slush froze over during the night making it impossible to get the car even of it's parking space never mind on to the main road where it is relatively clear i dare not risk getting the car stuck , i could not leave it on some of the country lanes they are way too narrow and it would end up getting seriously damaged and then ii would be an nightmare to get to work each day with no drivable car.
I phoned work to let them know my predicament not one of my line managers where at work they are all still off on annual leave typical.

We was going to  Gala Casino on Kirtsall road which lies on the outskirts of  the city Leeds , we had join and become members for us  to gain entry even though  we did not want to gamble just to eat at the casinos restaurant , had salt and pepper chicken wings Helen had tomato and basil for main I had fish Helen fillet steak the food was very good for the four of us it was £47.
We did not gamble not even on the slots maybe next time if we decided to  go again .

STILL DOING COLD TURKEY

We went to pick the car up where i had parked it at the side of the road last night and drove to the supermarket i had trouble getting it out of the car park once we had finished shopping .

The snow laid pretty deep in a few hours it was snowing last night this morning it was pretty amazing the landscape and scenery was spectacular mother nature is quite good at getting it right even if it makes driving a nightmare .

It won't last in a day or so it be all back to normal and before we know it be summer 2015.
i had to wear some black training shoes i bought and have worn only a few times Crocs are not winter shoes , even had a scarf and fingerless gloves on i also had a shot  of Hanky Bannister whiskey i need some shot glasses .

We was supposed to be driving to Leeds this morning Helen was going to get there hair cut but we did not venture out until later in the afternoon the Suzuki Swift is absolute rubbish on the ice and snow i do miss the trusty Freelander  4x4 i had i should have kept it , looking back it was a bad idea getting rid of it but seemed good at the time.
It is Helen's birthday tomorrow another year old , she found out today her Aunt had passed away i don't think i had ever meet her .
We are still eating cold turkey , The chimney that appears in all three photos is that of an old mill on Upper Bank Old Road.

LET IT SNOW

Boxing day
if i had not left work when i did due to the falling snow  i would not have made it home . As it was the snow was laying that fast and deep ,  i decided there was no  alternative i had to abandon the car .
it was going all over the road including on the wrong side of the road , the clutch was slipping bad and i could smell it burning the wheels were trying to turn but was constantly slipping on the snow  then it started to go sidewards and then it started to slip back i manage to turn the car and park as best as i could at the side of the road hopefully no other car will slide in to it .
I walked the rest of the way home i was only five minutes away by the time i got home my top half was covered in snow my feet was cold and wet it is best not to wear Croc's when walking in the snow as the vent holes tend to let water in .
Thank god we have half a turkey crown let to eat a joint of gammon and two bottles of whiskey so  let it snow let it snow let it snow.

Helen armed with a snow ball  it had only been snowing a couple of hours can't wait for the morning hopefully we be all white .

MASSES

It is my last day off and i was up and out of the house for half past six it was still dark as i drove to the garage to fill up with petrol i also bought 4 boxes of cat food pouches they are on offer until the end of December , I then i drove to the local Lidl and bought some lager and pear cider we don't drink loads so 12 cans of each is more than enough .I also bought some pigs in blankets and a gammon joint and some other bits and pieces that i thought we might need .

I am buying a iPad mini for myself i took mine in to hock when we was peppermint (skint} it is the exact same model it might even be mine who knows anyway i did miss not having one , so buy the end of today i will  be sorted.

We went over to visit Helen's son Kris he has just bought his first house it fully doubled glazed and freshly painted and carpeted throughout the kitchen and bathroom are immaculate it's a great first house it is only a few streets away from the first house I ever bought.

Went to Meadow Hall Sheffield thought it would be manic with a massive amount of Christmas shoppers but it was ok .The weather was very windy with heavy rain but still they was lots doing their shopping I bought Helen a onesie with hood and ears .

Christmas Eve
I have to go to work at two till ten I am dropping Helen off at her parents house and picking her up after ten so we can go to the Church at Adel for Christmas mass at midnight .
When we return home it will be Christmas .

A massive Christmas to all , I  hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and a happy new year peace and love the world over and a great 2015 May it be a great year for everyone out there , Respect to you all love Bob x

TWO DAYS OFF

SUNDAY
Helen finished her phones readings after one o clock in the morning , someone always seems calls just before she is going to sign off for the night and usually it can take at least half an hour to finish.
After her last reading she checked her bank account she had been paid which was a big bonus she though it was going to be Monday night before she got her money through  , and money early is always appreciated.

We went to over to Wyke which is to near Bradford Helen had some f2f readings booked and was working in a hair salon , i was sat in the car for five hours .
bought a chicken and mushroom pizza and done meat and chips to eat at home as it was nearly midnight.

MONDAY
Went to the garage where the car was booked in this morning just before nine i went for a walk  for an hour whilst it was being examined for faults wear and tear etc it was a fine drizzle when i got back i had learned it had passed YIPPEE we are now road legal for another year although he did recommend that we replaced all the four tyres in the next six months , at least no big repair bill just before Christmas.

Went food shopping to Blackhaller farm bought all our veg for Christmas three types of baby carrots four  types of potatoes including sweet and baby and two varieties for roasting red   , along with onions  , broccoli , cabbage ,  parsnips , mushrooms and cauliflower and of course the sprouts which i knocked a nail in to the cottage's beam to hang them from .

Bought a turkey crown that cost a lot just for the two of us know doubt the dog and cat will pig out and a jar cranberry jelly can't forget that it just would not be Christmas along with a hand made pork pie just need to get wine spirits cider and ale and we will be all set fingers crossed .

Alfie our ginger Tom is still suffering the effects of cat flu he has had it most of his life. I do feel really sorry for him as he is still sneezing and still has mucus coming from his nose  which is looking a bit sore and  red. His breathing is very wheezy and his nasal passage and air ways not sounding too good.
We love him to bits but also worry about his quality of life is it being cruel letting him live this way . But at least he is living and coping he is a great little character another issue is  he does not seem to be growing or to be putting any weight on .
How happy his he is anybody guess at the moment he is  still eating and drinking it is a concern and of course we both hope he makes a full recovery and that  he gets better very quickly .

CHRISTMAS IS NEAR

Monday
took Pip out this morning was cold rather then crisp ,  i really need to get this week out of the way not wishing my life away but i need it not to drag , i need to get the car booked for its M.O.T having a car always seems to cost me just before Christmas or in the new year hopefully it will pass and i will only need to pay for the test certificate and nothing else which is between £30 and £40 depending on the garage it is booked in at.
For some unknown reason my right foot is not good ever time i put it down its's like i'am standing on a nail i get a pain in my heel this seems to come and go , i feel i 'am in need of a M.O.T never mind the car.

Tuesday
My foot is not as bad but it is still uncomfortable but 75% better than yesterday .I have either Monday off next week so it could be a long weekend or Christmas eve off which will make it feel more like Christmas than just having one day off , what i really really want is all next week off and go back boxing day.

Thursday
Want a super cheap tablet instead of a Apple or Nexus i want to see what a £100 tablet won't do compared to a dearer one , my reckoning they won't be a massive  difference as long as i can watch movies surf the internet and read Ebooks it will be good i also reckon with a cheaper version i can get   an expandable expansion slot for a memory card been looking at a Dragon touch tablet very cheap .

Wednesday
Mid week best thing about today i did not need to go move the car i got a free parking spot , that was the highlight of my day .

Friday
After today i have the next four days off including the weekend , i lost my office keys which is a pain in the fucking arse , after seven o clock at night i am by myself and i go walkabout leaving the office unlocked is risky , Don't want to leave it unlocked only to find one of the ten year old pc running windows xp has been lifted  dread horror , worse case scenarios some one as eaten all the boxes of Celebrations and Heroes.

Saturday
It's eleven in the morning Helen is just getting her ass out of bed and has just shouted down for a cup of tea making n she is working till one o clock Sunday morning doing her phone readings bless her.
She cooked a full English breakfast  for the second day running.
Had a Indian take away for tea a curry  chicken kahari with rice and popadoms and onion bahji.

WEEKEND OVER

Thank Fcuk it's the weekend pear cider time chicken and chorizo time without the wraps and without the fries just new potatoes with butter.
Still wanting a day off when i have been paid so we can go and do some shopping we are wanting to go to our favourite farm shop to get our festive food , the way its looking will be dining on spam egg and chips.
Have spotted a bottle of Irish whisky that i would really like to try it out it is available at our local supermarket and a few  irish coffees and a hip flask full will be a warm welcome specially as it seems to be getting cold frosty and with a threat of snow.

Went to my sisters house for a get together last night my two nephews Andrew and Mark both went with there partners Sue and Angie , My Daughter who is pregnant and will have the baby in March was also there with her partner Lee .
We had a big pot of chilli and baked potatoes with grated cheese and loads of different deserts cheese cakes gateaus and all things fattening , i was even given bottle of my favourite pear cider , we left just after eleven and got home just after midnight.

The price of petrol has gone down once again  its been dropping over the last month and it is now £1.15 a litre  ,which is very good which is very good seeing that i do 50 miles a day its a good saving .
Helen's telephone readings are still going very well some days are better than others but on the whole its a godsend specially in the run up to Christmas she did over ninety minutes this evening .

Watching - Denzel Washington in "The Equaliser " which is 10/10

TEN YEARS

Still can't believe i found my watch i thought it was gone forever i was thinking it had been stolen by a visitor to the house , if i had not got the decorations out this year i would have not been reunited with it , not that i wear it often its still nice to have a wrist watch , it was still going and it was the right time its a self winding mechanism so why it was still going is weird  as it winds by wrist movement .

Helen's phone readings are going ok Sunday night was slow one caller only Saturday night was good and calls through the week good.

I have Christmas day off which is amazing as i have had the last three Christmas's off but i will work Boxing day and new years day as we get paid on the 23rd of December i could do with having off , so we can do some shopping otherwise we will be eating not very much.

Helen as five readings booked for herself to do on the Sunday before Christmas which might lead to more happening on a regular basis.

We want and hope that 2015 will be our best year i will have stopped smoking for ten years in March 2015 and i still get a craving for nicotine so very addictive .

STRANGE FINDINGS

It snowed this afternoon we was going over the moors when we saw the snow coming down it was settling but in our village it was a very light dusting it might get worse through the night morning will tell.

We put the Christmas tree up and decorated it it stands in the corner of the room just as you come through the door it is on the left , it was ht only place really we could put it .We did not think we was going to bother to put it up this year but it wouldn't be Christmas with out a tree.

As we was going through the remainder of the decorations we did not need them all because the tree is tight up into a corner so we need less decorations , as i was going through them after Helen had been rummaging through them i saw it , it was lying on the bottom of the box it was my Fossil watch i had lost its whereabouts ages ago and the Christmas tree and decorations was under our bed and the box was taped up it has been under there since we took the tree down at the beginning of the year , how my watch ended up there i have no idea very very strange .

We went to see another static home in HD4 on Hill Tree Park there is loads of property on site and i think there is a few empty plots.

NO SNOW YET

Well its just been a case of work and sleep really nothing fantastic or life changing has happened as always its another boring week of tedious driving to and from work , snow is still being forecast for the weekend bring it on is what i say .

Helen's readings have been going really good she had one person phone her up four times over the space of a week she wanting to know about meeting someone anyone she just wants confirmation that she will be in a relationship with a person mainly any man will do asp weirdo .

She got her first pay cheque paid in to he bank it was only for four days but it was not a bad amount we sort of work it out to a round £400 a fortnight but this figure can go up or down but either way its a massive help to our everyday living costs.

Not heard  anything regarding the static home we viewed hopefully there is not a buyer for it until we are in the running .

Went back to Blacker Hall Farm shop bought both pork and pork and tomato sausages , a home made steak pie ready to bake , some lamb mince , two chicken and bacon parcels with pesto and cheese  , a pot of beef spread , meatballs , fresh brown bread cakes , mince pies and gateau  , veggies including mixed carrots , sweet pots , and mushrooms , for the journey home some ready to eat sausage rolls and pork pies for the pricey sum of £40.

It is getting colder and there is more frost on the ground on  a morning  now which is good because the ground is frozen it keeps the wet mud of my Crocs.

Need to go to bed earlier its around two in the morning before we are hitting the pillows and its starting to getting that by the time its early evening i could go to sleep .

Photo taken this morning around the back of our cottage .

PASSED

My daughter passed her driving test yesterday first attempt she is now road legal and has already been out on the roads by herself , her my son and myself all passed first time , must be in the jeans.

We went to see about the static home yesterday it was not a good result ,the lady who owns it can't sub let it to us whilst i get my money next year for numerous reasons , all we can do is pray it does not sell in the next four months .

Snow is supposed to be on its way to us in the U.K  if it happens chances are that i won't be able to get to work , so it's a good job i still  have three weeks annual leave left to take , i hope we get snowed in for a little while like the weekend and a few days in the week would be good .

As of yet bought no Christmas cards and not loaded iPhone with any Christmas festive tunes , maybe when its snow will watch Home Alone again for the 20th time and listen to some Christmas songs .

Been invited to my sister's house next Saturday for a family get together its on the 13th which is our mother's birthday , its my Dad's birthday tomorrow .

FINGERS CROSSED AGAIN

We go to view the static home tomorrow at half past nine , we have to try and knock out a deal to rent until we can buy , and we will give it are best shot  . but it is in the hands f the gods , if we get a deal it will be one of the best moves we have done.
Tonight it is going to be a restless time Helen had trouble getting to sleep last night tonight will be worse by this time tomorrow we should know how the land lies , fingers crossed .

SUSTAINABLE

FRIDAY
Went to Sainsbury and bought two Chicken Kathi wraps fcuking gorgeous and some mince pies , got a double points nectar voucher for fuel so i filled the car up with unleaded petrol to the tune of £36.00.
Paid my phone bill that was outstanding so know i am reconnected to the network i still think i owe them more but the phone is back on so not for me to ask the reason why .

Early evening went over the moors to Uppermill Saddleworth the fog was bad on the drive over , we was checking out a garden centre for Christmas decorations , it was dark when we left and the fog was a lot  worse on the way back it was rolling in of the moors , we stopped at the fish and chip shop after we had put the Euro Millions lottery on fingers crossed .

So far Helen has clocked up 200 mins on the psychic chat lines and is still waiting for the weekend callers.

SATURDAY
Another dark foggy morning hopefully the fog will lift we might go to a garden centre and farm shop where they do gorgeous pulled pork and sweet chilli wraps .

On season 4 episode 11 of "The Walking Dead" its gripping stuff can't stop watching it extremely well writing , enjoying as much as "Breaking Bad".
Helen is feeling run down she got up i cooked her breakfast made her a tea she had a cig and went back to bed .
Bought some Steeplewood pear cider not had it before but its quick nice not the best but ok chilled with ice.

Helen had another three phone readings to do tonight her hours over the next few days are seven  until midnight hope it all worth for her .

SUNDAY
Glorious day a lovely winters morning the sun is shining and the aid is crisp makes you want to go out and explore different places be a great day for going to the coast .
Went to Blacker Hall Farm bought some chicken parcels , tomato and pork sausage and fresh vegetables including white purple and orange carrots , sweet potatoes , and other veggies.
We went to see our friend Sharon she had a cottage in Flockton but split with her partner and was forced to sell her home , she now lives on a caravan park near to her old home she has bought a plot for £10,,000 and put a £22,000 mobile static home on it . Its all wired up and and the water and drainage connected so for £32,000 she is living mortgage free she as amenities to pay for and ground rent of £65 a month most of all she is happy .

We went to see this one on the same site , we want the catch is i can't cash my money in until April next year i am talking to the Sister of the late owner who passed away in hospital hoping we can negotiate a way of renting until we can buy .

The white pvc boarding needs a good scrub and i put a gutter on the front for Christmas lights to hang of and have some decking maybe .

The living room is better than we have now it is more spacious more head room and a way lot lighter

The amount of natural light is amazing where we live now is like living in a cave .

The kitchen dinner is ideal with a decent cooker and sink and  we can eat from a table again , the door in the corner leads to one of the bedrooms .

Corridor leading to the bathroom a small dressing room and the bathroom and another bathroom .

The bathroom is about the size we have now there  is no window wish is a minus but compromise is some times inevitable. Most of all this way of life is sustainable.

ALL IN THE STARS

Helen starts her telephone reading tomorrow today  her first shift starts at  13.00 until 15.00 then she artist again from 19.00 until midnight she is some what nervous although she as been prepping all day for it .
Her first payment or wages will be on the 5th of December  , and hopefully it will have all been worth the effort and who knows we might have the best Christmas yet , which is now only a month away .

Within a minute of logging on she had received her first caller which lasted over thirty minutes she seemed relaxed , and did not seem to falter or dry up  and she kept the reading fluent i know she was glad to get the first one out of the way as it was bound to be the hardest one , the ice breaker she seemed happy as the reading progressed and the other person seem to be positive with what was being told to her  , Helen had another two  phone readings to complete  all went well , she will be back online at seven till midnight .

Tonight Helen logged on and had her first call after an hour and half of waiting which helped because she felt a bit run down mainly due to lack of sleep.

Went to the Doctors surgery Helen has a trapped nerve in her shoulder causing her arm to go cold and hurt, someone left latest issue of Stuff magazine sorry to say i took it home to read later .

Not had one  mince pie yet  , had no stollen either or even a slice of Christmas cake  , still its not December yet so still got plenty of time .

My Mac book pro the Finder side bar played up today a folder i created disappeared after searching my hard drive it was still not found which is highly annoying it was also not appearing in the finder preferences tab i also had not backed up to external drive silly me .

SUNDAY

Helen went on to the moors at midday with her metal detector and with the  policemen who lives at  the end cottage of our row of five , they are looking for the body of Keith Bennett , its a million to one chance they will find anything but never say never .A least the weather is reasonable and not too cold i choose not to go hopefully the will find some old gold coins if nothing else .

Helen again had three numbers up on Saturdays  Lottery which netted her a cool £25 half way there again ,  another three numbers and the payout would hopefully be in the millions of pound bracket  .
She is waiting for a call this coming  Monday from Sally Morgans team to finalise her working agreement and arrangements we need extra cash for Christmas so fingers crossed .

Went over to Allerton Bywater where my Daughter lives we went over to the Three Horse shoes for dinner Helen had to send hers back the pastry on the steak and ale pie was still doughy it had not been cooked right , we got a refund , my Daughter had paid in advanced prior to eating .

WOMEN AND CARS

I am going to see if i can book next week off work as i have four weeks annual leave to take before the end of March , and the fact it would save net having to fork out for  petrol money were skint again , Helen had a party of five readings booked for  last night but they cancelled in the morning which has knocked us back.

I called my solicitor regarding the car accident was involved  in March , the other parties solicitors seem to be dragging their feet and at this stage  of proceedings it is still scheduled to go to court which if it does will be in Leeds , they can't give me any indication of a time scale  it will be when when ever its really annoying.

My son has got a job not sure how good the pay is but at least it will be a regular wage , now he has wheels he is going to need a steady income of money , as  he had his first flat tyre today and as always it was at the most inconvenient time,  such are cars , like told him two things that are always going to cost you are in no particular order women and cars , because thats life i told him if you don't want the expense of owing one don't have one  , and thats on both accounts.

Bought two trays of chicken thighs and two bags of fries along with two packets of tortilla wraps and a chorizo  sausage i am sorted till pay day , i also bought a bottle of dilute peach drink .

A Kingston 16gb usb pen drive got delivered to day by the post man i bough tit of Ebay mainly for loading it with films and watching them on my bedroom tv.
Half way through season three of "The Walking Dead".

FOGGY

SATURDAY
I dropped Helen off in Leeds just after ten in the morning it was foggy . She had four readings to and a past life regression also to do.
I sat in the car i bought a sausage and tomato sandwich from a local shop  with the  money that i won for getting two numbers on Fridays night Euro lottery i won a whopping   £3.50.

I sat in the car down by a nature reserve at Rodley not far from where we use to rent a house after we had moved out of the apartment we had at the Docks in Leeds city centre . I had nothing to do but watch around five episodes of 'The Walking Dead" on my iPad mini , i am now well through season three .

Spent an hour on the phone talking to my son he phoned me up it help to kill the boredom i was getting cold i put my quilted Levi jacket on and some fingerless gloves.

Helen was finished at four a good six hours in a car watching "The Walking Dead" on a foggy Saturday could have been worse i guess i had a bottle of coke i had to go to the local supermarket to use the toilet.
We went to Pc World for a land line phone it is a speaker built in so you don't have to pick the hand set up  to talk as long as you are by the phone or within shouting distance , Helen bought  it to use for her telephone psychic work that hopefully she will be doing shortly ,  it also as a built in timer £24.99 its in white .

Went to Compo's cafe come restaurant come take away  for a late tea i had the home made steak and onion pie with chips and baked beans and gravy Helen had the scampi .reckon it is going to be a bad winter if i get snowed in be good i have four weeks of holidays left to take .
We went to drive across the moors tonight it was way too foggy it was rolling in  unless you had to drive across it was too dangerous and pointless so we turned back ,  the further you get across the moors the high you go and the worse and thicker the fog becomes , i didn't want to meet any walkers seeing as i had  left my cross bow at home.

Ebay purchase -  Kingston 16gb usb memory stick.

THORN IN MY SIDE

Well its Wednesday already half way through the week my son's car seems to be ok he has cleaned it waxed it and polished inside and out , i have never been that much in to valeting cars i have perhaps cleaned Helen's car more than i have cleaned any  another car i have ever owned maybe the next car i get it will be different .

Dreading Christmas totally unprepared it catches us out every year we always say next Christmas will be different but it never is well maybe next year.
The Christmas lights get switched don Thursday night and the German market will be opening its doors once again time once more  for the twelve year running for a slice or two of marzipan  stollen.

Work up this morning had a really bad pain in my hip joint it does ache but this was different hopefully as i move around it will disappear at the moment its like a thorn in my side ,  if it continues i might  have to look at having some sort of surgery which is the last thing i want to do.

It is raining for the third day in a row the cottage is really dark it is kind of strange feels like night but it is day time.
I feel i need to take a couple of days off specially in December and go to over Trafford centre and maybe Manchester  city centre to see all the Christmas lights and decorations might go to Meadow hall as well we will need to go through out  the week as  it  will be way too busy on a weekend .

ANOTHER WEEK BEGINS

Helen had a phone interview for a job being a tarot /Angel card reader via either Skype or on the phone she can select the hours she wants to work , and can make her self available any time she wishes has it is a worldwide audience , her interview went ok she is now waiting to see if she has been selected fingers crossed that she will be.

Alfie our ginger Tom cat is still breathing problems , and his little nose is still stuffed up ,  i feel so sorry for him as he has never known any difference since we got him he has had cat flu , he is still lively and he is a proper little character , i hope one day he will make a full recovery be nice to hear him breath normally . on a night he jumps on the bed for you to stroke him he bites you if you don't , his bite is always gentle he never breaks the skin , i have woke suddenly a few times when he lands on top of you.

For the second night running i cooked chicken fries and chirizo a tortilla wrap with sour cream and washed down with a ice cold pear cider happiness don't come cheaper than this.

Watching - "The Walking Dead " nearly finished all the second season episodes . Have already got five episodes of season three on my iPad in readiness.

Listening to -  "Queen Forever" a brilliant album it was a sad day when Freddie Mercury died and the end of a great band there is a few tracks on this album that i have never heard before like all musicians that have passed they live on through their music.

Reading - Peter Freestone - Freddie Mercury .

NEVER FORGET THE FIRST

Well my son has bought his first car it looks ok it cost £1500 and  its a Vauxhall Corsa black 1.2l 16v sxi with alloy wheels and low profile tyres its done 75k , and he as insured it for the year and taxed it for six months. We picked him up this morning and drove over to Pontefract to look at the car it had a few minor scratches and a couple of dents that was minor the paint was still intact , the interior few issues the steering wheel looked shabby along with the hand brake handle and gear stick , it had a massive pair of parcel shelve speakers and a decent alarm fitted.

.He has used most of the pay out he got for his bike being written off ,  i think he has a few quid left to fill the tank up a couple of times and maybe a drive through McDonald's fingers crossed

.He is still not been paid out for his injuries he sustained hopefully he will get best part of five grand  i do  hope the car is ok until then or until he can get a full time paid job.

It would be nice to think it will last that long ,i f not then i hope at least his repair bills are small and he has trouble free motoring and of course  that he is accident free hopefully he will be.

When he gets paid out for his injuries i think that  he needs to get his motor bike road worthy once again so if nothing else he can sell it should  he ever need the cash to keep his car road legal.

My first car was a red mark two Escort i bought of my Foreman at work it was bright red and i had the bottom half painted black ,  it was the car i learnt to drive in and i even  took my driving test in it which i  passed first time , i don't think you ever forget your first car i traded  it in after passing my test for a  few month old Mark 5 Escort which cost me £3800 back in the day.I wonder what my sons second car will be and how much it will coast him .

SUB IT

Was shown today at work how to gown up and wear ppe , so we can  go forth and clean infected rooms with patients who have been diagnosed with the dreaded Ebola virus , it was a joke  from start to finish from the hair net down with the full head cover  with a removable visor that was flimsy , and a all in one suit and face mask that just made you sweat and itch the last thing you want to do is scratch or wipe sweat away wearing two pairs of thin latex gloves then encased in a full theatre gown would make made it impossible to work if we had to to clean an infected room  , how we was then shown to disrobe was a unbelievable we had to stand in two bin liners and undress .

Here is how to do it sub contact it out to a firm who knows how to do it  right have the right equipment and knowledge to work in any contaminated area and are not making up as they go along , and also know how to remove ppe and dispose of used ppe , because what we was shown today was farcical , i for one won't be doing any cleaning of Ebola infections any side of Christmas  and the five other people that accompanied me said the same , its a outbreak waiting to happen .

Below is American personal cleaning up an infected apartment which was totally opposite what we was given to wear , with these suits there is no way you contaminate your self as you are in a all in one suit including your  head you can not physically touch your face with our shitty suits you can , Get me one of these suits and pay me £1000 a clean  and i will do it  gladly until then fcuk off.

ENGAGEMENT ANNIVERSARY

Last two days i have been on training as a manual handler assessor boring , i have been getting up at six in the morning and not getting home until eleven at night all i can say is i was glad it was only over two days , its the only overtime i have had for ages.

I got engage to Helen on bonfire day in 2011 four years ago how the time flies we always said if we were skint then at least  they would always be fireworks , well we are still going strong but life is no easier now then it was back then in some ways its even harder , but we are still together battling on one month at a time. We just both wish life was just that bit easier .i do wonder what we will be doing in four years time  as 2019 seems in another decade it is weird looking ahead that far but it will be here in the blink of a eye .

Taxed the car today online i set a direct debit up it is just over £11.00 a month , with the new changes you don't have to pay for six months or a year you can pay for it each month , but  your not even given a tax disc to display at least there is no big lump sum to pay out which has to be good.

Anyway Christmas is around the corner the German market will be back in Leeds city centre yet again and the Christmas lights will be switched on i am guessing by next week it is usually on a Thursday.
Leeds does look pretty good all light up it is very festive the German market just gets more expensive each years yet loads of people go , guess they have more money than us .

SEEING RED

900,000 Ceramic poppies each individually hand planted around the Tower of London to pay tribute to the  British and commonwealth fallen heroes  the first of the poppies was planted in June and the last of the poppies will be placed in the ground on November the 11th which is Armistice day , later the poppies  will be sold of for £25 each raising over 11 million pounds for charity . I guess you can't argue with the gesture but it still  makes you think the price that was ultimately paid by a lot of people who should not have died it was not worth it then it is not worth it now yet the killing and dying continues we humans will never learn and we humans will never live together in world peace.
My sister has gone to London to see the poppies for her self and some other London sites .

My son had his face painted by his girlfriend Charlotte for Halloween they went drinking around the centre of York and apparently got some good comments it took her quite awhile to do their make up and face painting i am presuming she applied her own ,  i didn't know my son could sit still longer enough.

We got invited to a bonfire party we cooked a big pot of Chilli to take round we mad it a bit too watery but it was edible even if it was not too spicy. the host had cooked jacket potatoes and pork pies it was windy and was getting colder as the evening got darker thank god for Charlie's bottle of 50 year old malt whiskey and Rogers honey and strawberry mead made by monks in their monastery in Portugal had a right kick to it , would strip paint .

SUNDAY
Went to a farm food shop called Blacker Hall Farm i bought a pulled pork chilli wrap , hand made pork sausages and 100% meatballs and two chicken parcels all sourced from the finest local produce we also bought stake and ale pie and a couple of quiches .

Went to visit our friend Erin she is laid up in hospital she as dislocated her ankle at the gym doing jump squats and it is quite bad injury she is flying to Australia in six weeks time and it is highly likely she won't be allowed to fly needless to say she is pissed off.

CHEQUE SENT

My son has been paid out for his bike and has banked the cheque i think they will let him keep the loan car for another seven days after the cheque as cleared the banking system so he can organise the purchase of another motor , he is looking at a Corsa 1.2 i 16v injection which i a staggering 75 bhp but its only done 50k mileage and as a body kit and alloys and looks mint , well it would its a peppermint green colour  ,  but it should be good little run  for his first car hopefully he should get it next week if they will hold it whilst his money clears.

Me well i still not heard dick about my claim i am not pushing if i get paid out before Christmas be good if not hopefully in the new year will go towards us moving again in April when i get a lump sum of cash .

This week as been uneventful been watching The walking dead in to the second season its an amazing series.
At work we are handing out to staff writing information and instructions of what protocol to follow if we get patients needing treatment for Ebola the reckon they will walk in to A&E Department for treatment .
if they die they are double body bagged with fabric material in between the two bags and labelled with special stickers , they are then transferred to the mortuary by staff in full protective equipment  including suits face masks and gloves , if they are alive they are put straight in to isolation with security staff on the doors to stop other visitors and staff entering the area , they are feed by nursing staff only until the are transferred to a high infectious establishment , the room is then cleaned with chlor clean and then a hpv treatment is run which uses Hydrogen peroxide in a  liquid form which is then  turned in to a vapour and the room is gassed , we set up and use this system now for C-diff positive Noro virus etc  this apparently for Ebola  is overkill a bit like using a bazooka to kill a mouse , i do hope so.

Trying out a brand of Pear cider i have not had before Woodgates its available from Lidl its £1.99 for four cans well times are hard can't drink champagne all the time , all i can say is its not that bad its refreshing and takes ok its not a patch on Koppaberg or Rekorderlig but it goes down specially ice cold with ice .

SKINT

The cat has eaten into the cable of my mac book power lead and it is no longer working we do have another one but i will need to buy a replacement  just in case , to buy an original costs a whacking £65 as a result the cat is now in the dog house .

With the clocks going back Sunday morning it is really dark at five o clock , winter is on its way we was lucky last year we got no snow is this year going to be the same hopefully yes , it won't be long before we are putting up the Christmas decorations and throwing a turkey crown into the oven  .

Have started to watch "The Walking Dead" again starting at the very start hopefully i will catch  up to the present day pretty quickly.

Really broke its been an awful month , five weeks between pay days is a killer .
There is a new Lidl opened in Holmfirth we bought some fresh baked bread sticks and ham for sandwiches we will go back when i get paid and stock up on goodies and hopefully save some money as well , i will need wraps ,  brown sugar and sweet chilli sauce coffee not sure if its cheap coffee i don't normally go there to they do sell pear cider which i am willing to try but decent coffee is a must.

THE VISIT

Thursday
Went to Motorman cafe Helen had breakfast as it was nearly midday  i had steak pie mash potatoes only one scoop  and baked beans and gravy  i think the pie was home made it could have been a bigger piece me being a pig i thought they would be a individual pie  .

Later in the evening i dropped Helen off at her friends car in Lockwood they where going to spiritualist church i went home to chill ,  i called my son he wanted to drive over to see me .
So my son came to visit me on my birthday which was brilliant and he stayed over two nights , he had trouble with the engine management warning light on his loan car and he was not able to drive it back home  , and they could not get a replacement car out to him until Saturday morning so one night  ended up two nights sleeping on the sofa  .His friend who knocked him off his motor bike has now admitted the 100% blame for causing the accident which means my son should get weighed in a lot quicker and an interim payment should be imminent .

FRIDAY
Took Helen for her appointment at the Hospital concerning  her heart ,  she has two small holes in her heart which never closed correctly when she was born this does not effect her hearts ability to work and will not need anything to be done , her electric circuitry that controls her heart rhythm is out of sync for the time being they will monitor it , Ablation surgery is an option but at this stage is not deemed necessary at this time  .

SATURDAY
The replacement car arrived just after eight a.m he was given the use of a brand new Citroen C1 it only had 5 miles on the clock  , he drove it home 55 miles , i took Helen to Leeds she had another two readings , I packed up and watched a film on my I-pad , on the way back we had chicken from Marstons chicken shack .
Rest of the day did nothing life can be boring .

SUNDAY
The clocks went back by one hour we get an hour extra in bed but i was up before eight anyway when the clocks go forward i am absolutely knackered when they go back i am always up bright and early .
It is very grey and dull Sunday morning with high winds,The little cottage is dark we need food for breakfast but a reading Helen had booked in cancelled and are coming Wednesday which as left us skint and as i need petrol to get me to work totally peppermint yet again , oh well we do have food in the freezer .it is going to be a boring day .

AMAZING

Tomorrow is my birthday how i got to be this old God only knows he has done a great job of getting me this far and it is appreciated and i am we are extremely grateful , when i was born years ago my twin sister followed she was born ten minutes later , the time of our birth is on our birth certificate and we was baptised at our delivery by the hospital Chaplin as we was not expected to live  , as we only weighed just under two pounds needles to say my twin sister and i we both made it.

So what ever we get what ever we do we are both happy regardless of where we are what sort of day it is October not being the best month weather wise ,  i be happy to have a glass of cider and walk on the moors and maybe watch a film or two sorted .

I know our parents will be looking down on us and be amazed at our lives , by my next birthday i will be a Grandad something i never thought would happen life is truly amazing .

DOWNHILL

A day this week i was sat on the main reception desk  at work i was sat opposite Costa coffee shop in the Rotunda or foyer and for four hours I helped people with their enquiries who was lost or had appointments and did not know where to go , and the best bit I was also was people watching for most of the time in between it was the best four hours I have spent this week at work , sad when your more happier doing what technical is not my job to do than doing your normal role .

My son thought that getting his new car was going to be a breeze through his naivety unfortunately life aint' that simple just when you thought it was plain sailing there is a hitch , and  in his case a massive hitch he does not have the funds at this moment in time to buy the car in a couple of month he will or even weeks he will have  the money today he found out he is like the rest of us ,  he might have thought he could capture a dream only to realise it eluded him in the end  , one thing for sure he will get a car he wants it just won't be yet .
If THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH he had a second knock back after attending an interview this afternoon he found  out he did not get the job , so i am really feeling for him there is nothing i can do which pisses me off i just speak to him on the phone telling him to keep his head up hard  advice to take when your on your knees praying for a lucky break .

Any way one day at work two days off then three days work four days of sounds good to me money or not i won't be at work a three day week  and being paid for five suits me fine .

To cap it all the Euro Lottery jack pot is 143 million pounds sterling that's some serious spending  power , i buy a penthouse apartment and a country estate and maybe even a private island like Richard Branson or UB40  own I build a retreat on to get away from it all ,  it  it's good to dream.

SATURDAY
Spent four hours sat in the car our little black Suzuki swift  in a supermarket car park whilst Helen did her readings , I watched a film on my iPad "Lucy" which was entertaining  and tethered to the Internet using my phone looking on Ebay for cars.

I have downloaded Yosemite but yet to install it on my Mac , on the way home had American fried chicken fron Marstons  chicken shack it was full as always the food was worth the wait.

Not had any of the following items for absolutely ages :-

White chocolate mocha from Starbucks with cream
Chinese food duck curry and noodles
Chocolate fudge cake with pouring cream .
Koppaberg pear cider ice cold
Read a decent book one you pick up and can't put down.
Bought any new aftershave  Prada,
T3 or Stuff Magazine .

Thing is i could do all the lot for the cost of around £90 the dearest item being the Prada aftershave.
Its my birthday next Thursday but pay day the Thursday after could always wait .

SUNDAY
Installed Yosemite on my Mac Book Pro looks to be operating fine would close down saying Safari was open when it was not other than that no issues .

My Son Guy called to see us at the cottage again  today he drove over from seeing his sister in Leeds he still as the loan car until his insurance is settled , we went for a walk with one of our neigh-boughs Charlie and his border collie Mollie just locally around the lanes and roads in a big loop taking about an hour , it threatened rain but kept dry until we had finished after getting back home we cooked some fish rice and fries and watched Denzel Washington in "The Book OF Eli".

MONDAY
Working three days only this week i decided some time ago that never again would i work on my birthday , i might not get anything but least i will have the day off .
After my birthday the rest of the years seems to  be all down hill its Halloween , bonfire night ,  Christmas and  new year end of 2014 hello 2015.

CLIMBING MOUNTAINS

Saw my Daughter at the Hospital i work at yesterday she was having her second pregnancy scan , she found out that she was having a baby boy i think she had her mind set she was having a girl , the baby is doing fine its growing fine and increasing in size , so everything is looking good for March next year.

its my birthday next week on the 23rd and as always i am totally skint  , to top it its a five week month and i am stoney broke , i have Thursday off work next week which is my birthday and the Friday as well so i will at least get four days of work to relax and chill which will be a present to myself oh well life goes on .

Still playing Limbo the gam i downloaded for the iPhone and i pad its dark and moody but i do enjoy the game even though it can be frustrating it kinds of lets you work it out the more times you try a certain puzzle.

I f i have to sell my I-pad i will get the newer model as soon has i have some cash which should be released to day to be honest having finger print unlock on the i-phone its a pain not having it on the iPad , i also want a Android tablet so i can have the new o/s Lollipop i will get the Nexus 7 2nd gen which i had but also ended up going to Cash Convertors who knows a third ten might even be out by then , anyways i still have my 5s and Mac book pro so i can't moan too much ,life certainly is too and fro and up and down but tomorrow ia another day Everest was not climbed in a day mind you some days i reckon i rather be climbing Everest i seem to be climbing mountains all the time .

BORING TWO DAYS

The Kodak printer which i bought in 2011 and drank ink and was never that brilliant in the first place is not printing jack shit anymore  it as given up the ghost , but honestly  i will never buy another Kodak printer in my opinion they are inferior quality machine compared to a Canon the next printer i purchase will be a Canon.

I have been trying to purchase Limbo the game app i had a remainder of £3.02 in my I-tunes account so i thought i would use it up and buy Limbo for £2.99 it took ages it kept wanting to update my debit card details to verify the payment after nearly an hour including chatting online to an Apple advisor i sorted it out at one stage i typed are you a bot and i got the reply no i am a person i was still not convinced , anyway i got there in the end the game is very dark but looks ok after you figured out the controls another mystery solved just i have to say it is a compelling game i have put it om my iPad and iPhone should keep me amused over the coming dark winter nights .

This weekend we have done nothing of great interest i have spoken to my son a few times  and he is after buying another Mazda mx5 the silver one he was after has been sold he was supposed to be taking the deposit over Saturday and the person he was buying from had sold it that morning my son was totally pissed of to say the least but such is life.
He has now found another one  for sale in a Vin Rouge colour its high mileage at 101k but saying that it has all the paperwork to document the work that it has had done to it over the last couple of years the price for this is £2999

I have from the trailer i have seen  a great sic -fi film to watch called Automata it looks as good as Blade Runner with a bit of I-Robot thrown in to it's mix .

Playing Limbo its a weird game but quite enthralling i like that its done in black and white and greys its had to see what is going on if you play it on your phone but i am still enjoying it , not as good as Dead Trigger 2 but its a total different format .

Well cooked pork sausage with onions and chorizo sausage in a tortilla wrap toasted very tasty its a five week month which i hate , next year as from March we are getting paid on the 27th of each month yippee .

TIME TO MOVE ASS

Still waiting for my time to come for my salvation it seems things might be improving and hopefully over the  next few months things will start to change and life will get easier.
We can't stay living in this cottage for numerous reasons its too small which at first was cute and quaint now its feel restricting and claustrophobic  , the cooker is not brilliant the grill is unusable it smokes too much the washing machine leeks water and knocks the kitchen units side to side when it spins the fire and central heating system do not put out enough heat there is no heating in the bathroom ,but saying that i think we will be here for a little while yet but i hope we don't spend another summer here  in this cottage as we should be long gone before then  .

My son is putting down his deposit for his Mazda x5 convertible today once he gets paid out for the bike accident , hopefully in a month or two he will pay the remainder off and own it out right ,my claim is still out there i have had no more news in the last few weeks i think i will call them Monday to see what is happening , i don't believe in the no news is good news crap .

Helen is doing events with a friend of hers and hopefully she will be doing more readings which will be good for her and her friend Jasmine i hope they between them get lots of bookings.

I need a decent coat for winter i want a three quarter tweed fabric overcoat and some grey jeans and some gloves to boot , i am also running out of aftershave i need a spicy smelling one that is a musky christmas smell , i also need to decide what to put in my hip flask i came across it the other day .

GONE TOO FAST

My son's Suzuki Bandit motorbike has been written off by the insurance assessor he valued the bike at £3000 and if my son wants to he can keep the bike and they will knock the salvage value off the total they would pay him which is £750 so he will get the balance of £2250.

Which will pay for the car that  he wants with enough money over to get the bike fixed and back on the road , plus he will have the full amount of compensation for his injuries to spend on what ever else he wants result .

SUNDAY
My son came over in his lease car we had cooked him a Sunday lunch with roasted sweet potatoes and mash and Yorkshire pudding , he had brought Bandit my Jack Russell that i had when i lived with him years before , after lunch we drove us over to Dovestone we took the dogs Pip and Bandit and walked up to the reservoir it was quite hot when we got back to the cottage it was after seven , he asked if we could go see my Nephew Mark who lives in Leeds it has been a few years since he last saw him  i agreed and took him over we could only stay an hour or so before we had to get back home to Holmfirth so my son could pick his car up and make the journey back home .A s always the weekend once again as gone too fast.

WET DULL AND GREY

REST OF WEEK

Well after six days off its back to the grind it's also October now which means it's all down hill to Christmas.
This will be the second Christmas in the cottage and more than likely the last as we plan to move on sometime in the following year maybe just after April , to pastures new .

My son has been given a courtesy car a brand new Vauxhall Corsa until his bike is either written of or repaired there is no money in repairing it if his bike is worth 2k and it cost £750 to repair if the insurance company sells it on for 2k then they give the money to my son that its cost them nothing if the repair it its cost them £750 it logical they will write it off which is not what my son wants if he buys it it of the insurance company it will cost him another £750 he is out of pocket so what is the point .

Regarding my offer of 75/25 in my favour the jury is still out on that one i would settle for that at the end of the day it be either the solicitors to sort out or a judge my guess is the solicitors will sort it out and it will not reach court.

Still hating work a position has come up working nights from ten pm until six am monday through to friday my rate for the whole shift would be at time and a half so in effect it would be like getting a 50% wage rise it is for six months in the first instance .

SATURDAY

Its raining weekend and its wet its eleven in the morning and Helen has took herself back to bed a boring day ahead , i have bee out with Pip our Jack Russell and has i type this my ginger Tom Alfie is on my shoulder watching the letters appear on screen with great interest , his radiator hammock arrived the other day and he loves it he slept in it most of yesterday he is still wheezing and his nose is more wet than running but he has still not made a full recovery .

Two  films i want to see at the moment are "The Equaliser " and " A Walk Among The Tombstones" the later one i have already got a  copy to watch  i also have StephenKings " A Good Marriage " and "Sex Tape " to watch , basically  i will need a full day of watching movies , if it is as bad tomorrow weather wise i might get some snacks and do nothing but catch up on films .

WANTING

Prada aftershave lotion.
Beatles coffe mug .

1ST CAR

Skirpenbeck is where my son lives i have been a few times in the last few months i have been numerous times and i went again today he need me to take him to look at a car he wants to buy the photo is the cottage where he lives there is not much else although he is only a few miles from York he must get bored i don't know if i could have lived in such a quite place when i was his age , without the use of his motorbike its still waiting to get it to a garage for repairs  he is limited to even getting to the shops for essentials such as his smokes and food it can't be a lot of fun for him , his girlfriend calls regular as she has a car which his is life line to the outside world.

We went to see the car which was in Castleford it was again very hot and sunny ,  the car has only done 64k it is twenty years old and it was imported from Japan it is a 2 seater Mazda MX 5 mk1 with black hood it was immaculate condition one of the alloys had been kerbed but the bodywork showed no signs of rust the gentleman selling it wants £1900 , if his motorbike after the crash is a write off he will receive minimum of £2000 he will find out Friday what is happening regards the bike and if he gets the car i think he will buy it .Not bad for his first car .

NEW PHONE

I have to orders waiting to be delivered from Ebay a radiator hammer for the cat he loves being on the radiator so i thought i would treat him to a new bed ,
The other item is a retro ghetto blaster silicone case for my iPhone 5s which is booked in at the genius bar Monday at the Apple store in Sheffield's Meadow hall designer outlet due to speaker issues and low volume when someone calls me their voice is very low even with the volume on high it is hard to understand what they are saying.

SUNDAY
We have all the things for a full English  cooked breakfast and all the things for a Sunday roast i also have pear cider films to watch and books to read what more do i want .
Went down to the village to see the food and drink festival it was very sunny and very hot to say we are in the final days of September it was unexpected hope it lasts.

MONDAY
At least i have two days off still i took my I-phone 5s back to the Apple store and was given a brand new replacement the receiver was faulty and another issue with the motherboard means me being given a new phone , which is fine its just a hassle restoring my settings from I-tunes plus reinstalling the  software to 8.0.2 still mustn't bitch.
My son is having hassle with his supposedly good friend who has not contacted the insurance company to admit blame and liability for the accident as it happens they are both insured with the same insurance company.

BUDDHA ROLLIN

THURSDAY
I dropped Helen of at the pub last night i did not go in with her  i planned on going in later in the night when she had a few readings done ,she was stressing out before we left and having a last minute rant she had all day to get her shit together and as always she leaves it to the last minute then starts to panic and create when the clock is running.

It was just before midnight when I picked her up I needed petrol and milk where we live there is only one petrol station that stays open until midnight and there is no 24 hour supermarket or petrol filling station all shut at around half ten at night which is ludicrous in this day and age.

My Son is basically ok he has soft tissue damage and cuts and minor abrasions to his knee but no serious damage he was sent home from the hospital with pain killers and a supply of bandages so he could change his dressing on his knee,  he will also need to  claim for a new helmet it will no longer be reliable should he have another crash it could fail to protect him fully .

FRIDAY
Went over to York Helen wanted a coat from White Stuff and some Bobbi Brown foundation , it was an excuse to get fish and chips and to visit my son Guy who is suffering with his knee injury but should make a full recovery .

SATURDAY
Went to Wellhouse camper ans a few miles from where we live the where overpriced the new Ford Transit Custom it was priced at  43k and looked stunning with its 18 inch alloys and neon lighting was disappointed it did not have space for a microwave . The second hand models seemed like council houses in comparison and was not to my taste.

Went ti the Sovereign Inn had a beef and merlot pie with mash and seasonal vegetables which was excellent the inn itself is very large with different eating areas for desert i  had the peanut butter and chocolate cheese cake and Helen had a home mad sherry trifle.

I also bought a new Buddha from a crystal shop near to Uppermill Saddleworth hopefully he will be lucky he can sit in my camper van on the dash board looking out on to the open road .
