NEVER FORGET THE FIRST

Well my son has bought his first car it looks ok it cost £1500 and  its a Vauxhall Corsa black 1.2l 16v sxi with alloy wheels and low profile tyres its done 75k , and he as insured it for the year and taxed it for six months. We picked him up this morning and drove over to Pontefract to look at the car it had a few minor scratches and a couple of dents that was minor the paint was still intact , the interior few issues the steering wheel looked shabby along with the hand brake handle and gear stick , it had a massive pair of parcel shelve speakers and a decent alarm fitted.

.He has used most of the pay out he got for his bike being written off ,  i think he has a few quid left to fill the tank up a couple of times and maybe a drive through McDonald's fingers crossed

.He is still not been paid out for his injuries he sustained hopefully he will get best part of five grand  i do  hope the car is ok until then or until he can get a full time paid job.

It would be nice to think it will last that long ,i f not then i hope at least his repair bills are small and he has trouble free motoring and of course  that he is accident free hopefully he will be.

When he gets paid out for his injuries i think that  he needs to get his motor bike road worthy once again so if nothing else he can sell it should  he ever need the cash to keep his car road legal.

My first car was a red mark two Escort i bought of my Foreman at work it was bright red and i had the bottom half painted black ,  it was the car i learnt to drive in and i even  took my driving test in it which i  passed first time , i don't think you ever forget your first car i traded  it in after passing my test for a  few month old Mark 5 Escort which cost me £3800 back in the day.I wonder what my sons second car will be and how much it will coast him .
