Have taken today off annual leave going over to York to pick at least on cat up Sugar but we want Spice as well so we are trying to get both kittens today we decided that we do want both cant pick one over the other and after all its we set out to get originally , and we did the breeder agreed that we could take both cats for £600 so we saved a hundred pounds if she hadn't agreed we wouldn't have been able to afford them both . Sugar is the female pictured above she is a little princess and Spice is below they have both settled in and both will be loved dearly .

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Filled in some gaps at the side of the kitchen units mainly where the washing machine is plumed in , we go to pick our ragdoll kitten up this Friday and I have took the day off work .

We might only be getting the one cat now instead of a pair .We have had a re-think about getting a Tom cat a she will spay all over the house to mark his territory which will stink the house out to high heaven , another big minus is that will be forever pestering the female cat for favours unless we keep them separate which will be near to impossible , so its sod law we will end up at some stage with a pregnant female and eventually end up with kittens which could cause us 101 problems that we don’t need.

Also if we was to breed and put the kittens up for sale we be classed as back street breeders which effects the sale price of the kittens we sell on as they won’t have the correct paperwork which would mean some people wouldn’t even consider buying from us.

Everything has its problems even giving a new life a home , such as a name Helen wanted to call them both sugar and spice but if we just get the female then we don’t want to call her sugar not if there no spice running around with her.

Saturday

Upset Helen over certain issues regarding visiting her parents on Friday night we was only suppose to be there 10 minutes i originally waited in the car whilst she nipped in , then her brother turned up with his partner , so i ended up going in hour and a half later we was still there I was listening to them mainly discuss family problems and issues , i had finished work at eight thirty and picked Helen up straight away i must of looked bored when we returned home there was an atmosphere it didn't get to a shouting match but things was said and there was bad vibes the rest of the night

When i woke asked Helen what we was doing she seemed none responsive told me to go out with my Son or Daughter very hard when either of them are speaking to me then she told me to go out on my own so i did.

Decided to drive over to Thruscross Reservoir i took the sat nav and my decent digital camera. stopped of at Tesco and bought a chocolate chippy muffin and a bottle of water then stopped at the petrol station then set the tom tom and drove to Thruscross .

On the way i had numerous text of Helen saying "bet your at Rodley" then one suggesting Temple Newsham then and other one saying Roundhay finally the Red Bus as if i would pig out with out her she text me saying "av fun" , Helen even suggested my old home.. no chance.i text her back saying way off that i couldn't have fun without her and that i was missing her.

Took two pictures of the scenes around me with my mobile and sent them to her she no idea where i was , took some more photos with my camera then i called her she rejected my call, i called her again she picked up this time and said she was ill and had been to the toilet three times that's why she didn't want to go out , i wasn't going to argue , i said i return home.

When i got home she was still in bed i got undressed and got in bed at the side of her , cuddle her and went back to sleep it was half eleven .

Woke up got dressed went to Tesco bought some cooked ham and turkey of the deli counter some quiche and some smoked haddock and new potatoes and some bread from the bakery a granary loaf and wholemeal loaf.

Went to a tropical fish outlet at Tingley looked at some cichlids for sale different colours a lot easier to keep as they are tropical instead of marine fish.

At night went for a drive in the country on the way back stopped of at Yeadon Tarn did a circuit watched a few planes land took more photos.

Sunday

We got up and made some egg mayo sarnies using twelve eggs and filled our thermos flasks one coffee one off tea and set of for Leyburn was a nice drive some lovely cottages on the way and little villages didn't stay too long , from there we drove back to knaresbourough and parked up near to the river Nidd.

Went to the Mitre had a pint of cider sat outside noticed a thatched cottage that was having its roof re thatched on our last visit it had been destroyed by a fire the roof and roof trusses and timber where black , it was difficult to access the damage to the rest of the building it had been covered by scaffolding and plastic sheeting to protect it from the elements , it was quite upsetting it was a idyllic house , and we both hope that no one was seriously injured in the fire.

walked by the side of the river and walked uphill and steps to the castle we put the blanket on the ground and chilled out had coffee and sarnies the sun was out , i received a call from my son wishing me a happy fathers day it was just after six he also said he didn't want to live at home anymore told him to think about it he has mentioned this before and it never comes to anything.
Went to local fish shop bought two fish sandwhiches which we ate in the car before driving back to Leeds,

Looking forward to the weekend going to chill out got to sort out my brakes on my bike might go back down to the canal ride in to town again this Sunday morning go round town.

We should be getting the cats next weekend , that's going to change the ambiance of the house having two felines strolling about the place .We are getting a Queen and a Tom. Sugar and Spice , cant wait it will be interesting to see if one cat takes more to Helen and one more to me or will they both attach themselves and want Helen as she will be with them most of the time whilst i am out at work , hope they are great company for us both and life long friends , they have grown up together so they should be fine left alone and already should have a bond already established between them.

Helen is thinking of changing her shift pattern at the

Hospital , once she goes back to work after her sick note expires instead of working weekends she is considering going to work Monday to Friday from either seven through to one or until three , and then do the odd day at the weekend as over time when the need arised , if that was the case i wouldn't chase a weekend shift i would continue to do the shift pattern i am currently on.

Took Helen to the Doctors she had a ten past seven am appointment after going through all her details she was giving a sick note for two weeks , which will give her breathing space and what ever she needs to do to make her happy regarding her job i will support her.

I have been offered the free use of a caravan at knaseborough lido any days i like between Monday to Friday will have to book a couple of days off and take advantage of this offer also we have an offer to stay a weekend I think either a Friday or Saturday night with our friends over at Flockton in their cottage .

Had a phone call from my solicitors wanting to know if i could pay £250 of my bill every month ya joking , i wish... if i had a spare £250 a month then no problem , they don't seem to realise we all haven't got spare cash floating about and some of us have to live month to month without the luxury of savings or a nest egg and that some months budgeting is a art form in its self. I be hard press some months to pay £50 and some months it is going to be nothing , at the end of the day they are charging 8% interest on the balance outstanding which they never told me when i became a client , so get of my case , me not paying you money is making you money so stop complaining.

Monday, June 15, 2009

Helen as made an appointment with our doctor hopefully she will get a sick note to excuse her from work she is already dreading the start of the week because it starts the count down for the weekend .

Torrential rain thunder and lighting , i was only walking on the canal path into town at dinner time and it was fine , a couple of hours later the weather has gone crazy another two hours and its glorious sunshine.

Look at Helen and i realise i be happy anywhere with here as long as we are together i would live or move any where to0 be with her be it a caravan or a shed i want to live in the country more than ever want to look out on fields and pastures country lanes and meadows we really want to get a little cottage and we are seriously looking at small one bed houses and cottages in locations 20 to 30 miles from Leeds.

Saturday

No work today might get a shift tomorrow , my sister might be coming round later as she has a gift for me no idea what she has it could be anything she is a eBay addict and a shopaholic.
House valued yesterday as it stands now estate agent reckons we have made a 20k profit if we sell for what he recommends ad if we sort out a new fitted kitchen and replace the bathroom we could make a possible 30k profit , we are pleased we have not lost out with negative equity.
hay fever started up today cant stop sneezing and eyes are watering badly i hate hay fever it was the blight of my child hood and i use to hate every summer nothing my doctor prescribed ever worked , finally i grew out of it it returns periodically when it does i buy piriton tablets and beconase nasal spray which sorts it out usually after twenty four hours .

Sunday

Dropped Helen off at work i returned home as there was no shifts available on overtime , its getting limited saying that i have never had a month with out working one Saturday or Sunday each week this has been for the last eighteen months . Got a phone call from Helen to meet her at half past nine she was crying and upset , she hates her job and she hates being moved around from ward to ward and she seems to get all the worse jobs going, she was ready for walking she was that upset that her managers agreed for her go home on sick leave.

We went to her parent house for a brew her mother told her to quit pack it in that it was not worth the heart ache and misery . We ended up driving out in to the country side , to Howarth and then on to Holmfirth mainly just to hold hands and walk in the sunshine and talk.

At night we loaded our bikes in to the back of the car and drove down to my sisters house at Kirkstall. We cycled along the canal path in to Leeds city centre to Clarence Dock went to Tesco Express and bought two bottles of bottled water and two mars bars which we ate outside the royal armouries before we set off back home we was out roughly two hours , a cheap date .
Helen was still upset over work and will make an appointment to see our doctors and senior managers at work to come to some solution WE HAVE A FEELING THEY WILL SAY IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THEN ON YA BIKE , if that cant sort then it might be that she has no alternative but to resign her position which she as worked at for the last ten years.

Went in to Leeds city centre last night after i had finished work , went home to pick Helen up and at around 9 o clock we drove in to the city centre and parked up near to Asda HQ , for the last few days i have been craving noodles no idea why i usually only have them we go for a Chinese buffet but a urge i had so for the first time ever went to Wokon a noodle bar that i have walked passed loads of time that is situated in lower Briggate .

Helen ordered beef in black bean sauce which was made with thick egg noodles and i had spicy chili combo which was made with thin egg noodles , along with a bag of prawn crackers vegetable spring rolls and prawn spring rolls one portion contained two rolls and two cans of coke all for £12.95.
All the ingredients was fresh and it was all cooked to order the decor is basic and clean with high tables and seats the food smelled gorgeous looked great and was steaming it was served in American style boxes and was kept warm until we finished eating , the spring rolls where some of the nicest i tasted and they was still hot ten minutes after being cooked .

GettIng the house valued to day just out of interest unless its gone through the roof then might be time to move on to pastures new , it is being valued by the estate agents Homebuyer hopefully there will be some increase if not give it time .

Finished work and returned home we went to Asda and bought a tray of free range eggs some onions and a packet of honey roasted ham along with a tray of mixed peppers and courgette's . Helen when we got home then made the best Spanish omelette ever it was perfection , big plus is that when you have hardly eaten all day is that it was filling at a low cost , the packet of ham cost a £1.00 the mixed veg £1.50 the free range eggs £2.00 for 15 enough for three decent size dishes , it does makes you wonder why we eat all this pre prepared frozen meals or why people are living off take aways and fast food outlets as you cant get much faster than what it takes to cook a decent size omellette.

Went to Ikea to look at kitchen units and worktops might not now be knocking through the kitchen and taking the wall down .

We have been looking at similar house's that are being sold to ours online and none have knocked through to make one large room so we are reconsidering , all have the kitchen separate as originally designed and built. The large black upright freezer that we have in there would have to go in to the garage it wouldn't fit in , we would have to buy a small fridge that could be integrated in to the design also the radiator on the kitchen wall would have to be made redundant .

we wouldn't need loads of units and i reckon the kitchen will cost less than we got quoted to just take the wall down and put a RSJ in which was a £1000.

Booked My car in for its MOT on the 29th of June , its due before the 9th July 2009 plus the tax wants renewing at the end of this month and the insurance runs out too all three together , at least i can do the tax online which will be a blessing .

At least it looks like we will be getting some sunny spells today driving to work had to put the visor down in the car plus it felt a lot warmer than yesterday.Back on my night job it dragged always does when you have time off , got home eventually Helen was looking at cottages for sale on the Internet in various locations both coastal and country , north and south in Scotland England and Wales .Its still a dream to have a cottage and grow our own vegetables and have a few chickens and ducks , with a stream or lake close by if its not on the coast or near to the coast.

My sister went to Scarborough last weekend she said it was dead like a ghost town and by ten at night forget it was like the opening scene of 28 weeks later.

Schools and kids don't break up for summer yet ,and it looks like to me all the money that the shops, cafes , amusement arcades and gift shops will do 80% of their trade during these few weeks. So what do they do the remainder 46 weeks of the year , makes you wonder how much money is taken during this holiday period .

SATURDAY
Its cold wet and miserable i drove Helen to work she didn't want to go i didn't want her to go i would prefer the pair of us staying in bed .The mobile phone alarm went off at five am , and again at half five , then once again at quarter to six ,off it went at six o clock , then it rang again at quarter past six , finally at half past six after lots of coaxing Helen got her butt out off bed , to start work at seven .
Went to the Odean at Pudsey near Leeds with my son Guy to see Terminator Salvation , all the other terminator films we have only seen on dvd. Seeing it full screen with surround sound made all the difference i enjoyed the film , and i reckon it was better than T3 but not as good as T1 or T2.

Do enjoy going to the movies , and would like to go more maybe on a fortnightly basis , yet the only film i have seen with Helen at the flicks is the Golden Compass. Which i feel asleep whilst i was watching it , mainly because i had too much to drink the night before , we had stayed in a Leeds city centre hotel and gone night clubbing and i had too many Jack Daniel's.

Went over to Flockton to visit Sharon she was celebrating her 40th Birthday.A barbecue was planned but because the weather being could and wet what has happened to flaming June it was moved in doors. She lives in a cottage and it was some what cramped and busy .We stayed an hour before we had to leave.

Called in to Armley Cemetery to visit those departed in Helen's family and relatives mainly her grandmother Lily its a couple of minutes walk from where we live , there is baby section which was quite upsetting and some of the gravestones had pictures of those buried beneath its a sad fact we are all going to end up dead got to make each day count ,n got to say to those you are with how much you love them and you have to show it it through actions words and deeds , because we ain't going to be round for ever .

Sunday
Took Helen to work , we had the same scenario again with the alarm she cant just jump out off bed , if the house was on fire maybe to go to work no way she cant do it , but eventually up she got and we got her to work on time yet again with minutes to spare.
Helen is still reluctant to go she is not on her regular ward and she is being moved and shifted about covering different wards at different times which is bugging her but she knows she is contracted to go on any department or any ward which she is asked to but at the end of the day she worked on a children's ward for the last eight years and misses it.

Went to the Six Acres for Sunday lunch had the carvery , turkey and gammon with all the trimmings, loads of roasted potatoes and two Yorkshire puddings .

Work has still not paid Helen the money owed to her whilst she was on holiday she is desperate to get it sorted out as she needs the money to pay bills , and will incur charges if she leaves it any longer.
She phoned me up she had to go to the cashiers office at half past one , i picked her up and took her down she was paid roughly 60% of what she was owed the rest i guess gets paid In her wage next week .

Afterwards she returned with me to the office where i work in to see all my work mates and Friends .after that we went over to the Wetherby Whaler at Pudsey for fish and chips with mushy peas for Helen and beans for me .
We are going to a birthday celebration tomorrow over at Flockton so went to Owlcoates to Mark and Spencer's for Helen to buy a birthday card leaving there we then went over to Tesco and bought a silver bracelet on the way driving home i phoned my son up he didn't answer ten minutes later he called back so we did a u-turn and drove back to pick him up as we wanted him to stay over.

I wont be working this weekend as i had time of sick the weather is not going to be that good typical great British summer once again .

Finally got my absolute through its all legal now and i am single again , i am divorced its the end its finished , meaning i am no longer legally married that its ended and its over its no more , it does seems another life and it seems ages ago and that it was another me.
I am happy, glad and proud to be with the lady that i am with now with , and grateful that i have been given another chance to build a home to be madly in love and to have the things that we have .

Went to Costco this dinner time its been ages since i have called in for food ,i had my old favorite dish a jacket potatoe chili and cheese £1.22p yum yum .
Helen video called me at work to proof she was cooking a chicken casserole in the slow cooker whilst she was doing the front garden , on the way home picked up some Aunt Bessie's mash potatoe and extra large Yorkshire puddings and a cherry pie.

Got a speeding notification from the police for doing 36 miles in a 30 miles zone , i have got the option of attending a speed awareness course and not having three points added to my license , i will still get a sixty pound fine , or i can not attend the course and have three points added to my license , naturally i have signed up for the awareness course i have fourteen days to reply .
Didn't go to my evening job , i could hardly walk so mopping floors, bending and emptying rubbish bins , low and high dusting was out of the question, only thing now is i cant work the weekend even if i am better. So my back is better to day i still getting slight pain and aches when sat down or move so i am going to have the rest of the week off and start a fresh Monday .

Helen put the plants in to the back garden after she had weeded all the boarders and got it all tied up and in to shape.bought some dark brown fence paint and some cream gloss to do the shed.

From when we moved in the garden has been totally transformed , when i get paid this month i will buy some solar lights and lamps and a barbecue then fingers crossed we have a decent summer nights where we can sit out and chill.

Did mange to put three separate wooden trellis up for the climbers and Russian vine as it only needed a few panel pins to fit it into place on to the painted fence once it was dry.
Was loaned a James Patterson Novel to read "Step On A Crack" , read a few of his novels which are usually easy reading with lots of short chapters, ideal for bus or break time reading .

Took a while getting out of bed this morning took even longer to get my socks on was going to sneeze which i know would jar my back even more mange to shut it down before it happened .

Didn't get much sleep try to lay on my side couldn't manage Helen was at my side and i didn't want to elbow her in her head so i gave it up as a bad job and had to continue to lay on my back.

Driving to work was agony using the clutch and break made it painful and looking across strained my back nearly did a u -turn things we do for money not sure if i am going to last the day.

Tuesday, June 02, 2009

Let the rabbit out Friday Night finally got it back in its cage last night we cornered it using the laundry baskets it was trapped it and placed it back in its hut , it wasn't a happy bunny being confined to barracks once again but three nights out and about the garden was enough cant risk it being attacked by some stray dog or cat .

Suffering with my back in a lot of pain and agony not sure what to do about attending work if i am off sick from one it means i have to take sick leave from the other, being my night job at the Hospital which means i cant do any overtime this weekend which means giving up a Saturday or Sunday, which means less money . sitting down and bending and twisting movements is agony and awkward , i don't want to make it worse and end up being off for weeks instead of a few days .The other option is to try and take some annual leave.
