Saturday

Took Helen to work she has not been feeling well since her return from Egypt problems with her bowels and her feeling sick and acid coming up from her stomach she didn't go to the toilet for the first ten days of her holiday and the problem has persisted from then she got some medication Picolax from the clinic over there it is giving to patients to make them go to the toilet before major operations and surgery and is very harsh and should not really be used in cases of constipation.

Helen reported in to work and they advised that we go to the emergency doctors , we both work for the NHS, so we called in at the medical centre Meanwood and we made an appointment for 9.10 a.m, Helen was seen by a doctor and she was given alternative medicine to make her go to the toilet , she will have to at some stage go see her own GP when she can make an follow up appointment she my have an infection that needs treating .


Went to Tong Garden centre in the afternoon and bought loads of plants and climbers along with a couple of hanging baskets and a black metal arch way for the front garden .

Went to Helen's parents house for a barbecue late in the afternoon , her brother Martin and his Fiancee Katie was there plus some other relatives and Helen's youngest son Liam who stayed the night at our house the first time since we have moved in last December , Had some really nice food and it was a glorious sunny afternoon and was perfect just chilling out on the sun loungers drink cold lagers and doing nothing but watch the sun go down .


Sunday

went to see the Ragdoll cats over at Acomb, afterwards we went and parked up by the river Ouse in York city centre and went to the Lowther public house for their Sunday carvery .





we had roast lamb with all the trimmings including mash potatoes there was no roasted parsnips on the veg selection and no cider on draught or bottled at the bar other than that it was a fine meal .

Left Helen alone in bed she makes going to work too hard some days especially when i see her lying there all cute , tanned and exposing a certain amount of bare flesh whilst uttering the words take the day off ..trouble is i want every day off and i would be happy doing nothing but spending time alone with her it would be years before i got bored if i ever did and the bills would mount up and mortgage would go unpaid and the gas and electric would run out and the house would eventually be repossessed but as long as we were together then sod it all of course reality is a different kettle of fish.

I did go to work.. at around half hour before dinner time i got a call , she was in the garden topping her tan up but she was bored , i said i would come home for dinner within ten minutes i was driving home to see her , she was in the garden all oiled a deep shade of brown in shorts and a bikini top.... going back to work was hard harder than it was first thing this morning..i defiantly hate work even more its too warm the sun is out the skies are blue, there is chicken to barbecue and cider to drink paradise is where ever you make it and can be so very close to home .

Won £190 on the lottery bingo we do at work.. every little helps i will split it fifty fifty with Helen i know she is extra skint , and it didn't help that payroll messed her wages up whilst she was away in Egypt hopefully she will get what she is owed paid in this weeks wage packet.

Picked Helen up from her parents house after work went on to visit my sister had apricot brandy for the first time like medicine but enjoyable and at only 20% proof it didn't go down too bad , might have to invest in a bottle.

Going to buy a kettle drum barbecue this weekend.. seeing that its getting warm enough to sit out on a evening plus the fact that we still have not got a cooker yet , be a good way to cook fresh chicken pieces legs and thighs and some kebabs and other meat dishes , get some vegetables ,onions various peppers and mushrooms plus a few bags of charcoal .

will have to get some pear cider lager and a bottle of pimms something to wash the taste of burnt food away , well that's my excuse .

Yesterday had quite day paid some bills ouch , pay day still hate paying bills they come round too fast , Had to go to work at half past four when i finished picked Helen up and went to the Crown Buffet for a Chinese meal got there just after nine the food was OK and the starters and deserts they was a wide selection plus they have a chef who will cook what ever you desire form the fresh raw vegetables and meat that you pick and cook it in front off you in what ever sauce you require whilst you watch ,with drinks the bill was £24.00 , and like Helen said there is no washing up afterwards so its well worth it.

Bought a new goldfish bowl , even plain bowls are no longer cheap and the largest one the shop sold cost us £34.99 bought some new gravel and a white rock and a living plant hope the fish are happy in there new abode.

Went over to Clifton moor near York to look at large tanks for a marine aquarium didn't know what a skimmer was , and i didn't realise it would be well over £150 to get one. As well as around £250 for the tank then there is the living rocks , coral and other marine life that needs to be incorporated in to this living world to keep everything balanced as possible its not a cheap habby then there is hte cost of the fish ,

Friday
picked Helen up locally from the pub car park close to home in the end i didn't end up going to the airport to meet her , and i picked her up at half past four just as it was getting light and within five minutes we was home i made her a tea , then went back to bed she looked well and tanned and i was relieved and happy that she is safely home .
In the afternoon went to the white rose shopping centre Helen bought some clothes from River Island , i had the night off work .
For tea we had fish and chips with scraps loads of salt and vinegar from the local chippy , neither of us have had fish and chips for well over two weeks .

Saturday
Helen had to go back to work she wasn't impressed it was back to reality i took her home at three in the afternoon , i went back and worked until half past six, later that evening we went over to visit my my twin sister .

Sunday
Went to work we both finished at three and went straight to the White Rose shopping centre Helen bought a new steel flask some eggs and some brown bread going off tomorrow f0r the day might end up in Whitby .
Cit the grass to the front and rear gardens also cut the hedge took best part of three hours,Helen cleaned the house kitchen and dining room and did a load of weeding and cutting back.


Monday
Bank Holiday decided to get out and about made some egg mayo sandwiches and i did the flasks one tea one coffee .


Set off just after eleven another early start we should have gone at around eight but we never do . We was heading for whitby but on the way decided to go to Robin Hoods Bay instead bought a star fish for the bathroom . Walked down to the beach the sea was well in so walked back to the car and went to Sandsend then on to Goldsbourgh and then to Runswick bay Helen wanted to find this cottage at the bottom of the cliffs next to the sea.



All the houses and cottages are idyllic and any one would suit for a quite life by the sea if only , and finally went on to Staithes a few more miles away , which i have been meaning to go to for ages and ever got round to after seeing featured it on a TV programme.

woke up at four a.m, then again at five a.m , then at six at half past six before the alarm went off i was washed teeth brushed and in the car on the way to work i arrived at work dead on seven. I parked the car then i walked down to the canal at the Royal Armouries it was slightly sunny but cool , i sent Helen the first text of the day.

I put the lottery on if only , i am just too excited i am on recharge i have been ruining on low for the past few days , now i,am wired and i am buzzing , and she doesn't come home until Friday morning what i am going to be like tonight and Thursday night i cant imagine , going to be a cat on a hot tin roof , i just want her home safe.

late this afternoon i had a text from Helen asking if i would pick her up from Manchester Airport when her plane lands early Friday morning , I would set of now if i could.... of course i will meet her there as i get to see her ahead of schedule and i certainly ain't moaning i would drive to Egypt to get her if i had to and i would walk to Manchester Airport if i had to.

Two more sleeps alone then its Thursday and she flies back home . I finished work early tonight at six o clock due to a meeting so I left the car parked at the hospital and walked in to town. its only a ten minute walk to get me to the other side went to No1 Chinese buffet and pigged out had chicken and sweetcorn soup to start with plus prawn crackers loaded my plate with loads of deep fried chicken pieces , noodles and chicken wings also fried mushrooms , chips, and curry sauce twice over , it was followed by three scoops of ice cream and a bottle of Woodpecker cider

Cant believe it is nearly here as the first week went way too slow been like a kid waiting for Christmas , this week has not been that bad compared to week one and its gone faster especially since last Friday but its still been fourteen days too long and fourteen days that i can never get back , but i am going to have a good go at doing it.

I think we should go and book a holiday for next year even if its self catering as long its somewhere half decent and hot , i know if we decide and book then we will save up and go , if we don't book it we wont budget for it , although we are going to the Isle of Mann to her brothers wedding for a week i think next June or July .

Got up this morning and within fifteen minutes i was in the car on my way to work getting excited all ready and Helen does not fly back home until Thursday night, and will arrive back in Leeds at around half past five i don't think i will be getting much sleep myself i know i am going to be on edge until her plane as took off and landed safely.

Things i have realised since Helen has been gone.

• I don't want to be with anyone else.
• I made the right decision to be with her.
• The house is too big without her.
• Shopping for one is sad.
• The bed is way too big without her.
• Dont want to be a startfish any longer.
• A house is not a home without her.
• Going to bed early is no get out clause for missing her.
• There is no subsitute for having a Bum to slap kiss and cuddle up to.
• I truly appreciate more than ever what she did to be with me.
• She's the one that makes happy glad and most of all makes me smile.
• doing what you want when you want doesn't make it easier .
• No other woman comes close.
• She is unique individual that cant be replaced.
• watching TV on your own is boring.
• Not having a conversation makes for a quite house.
• The time we have together is precious.
• I never want to be without her

Saturday
Went to work Helen text me she has blisters on her back and had to go to the clinic for some cream also something to make her go to the toilet she has not been for seven days . I worked from seven until three o clock which made the day go faster , when i got home and did some cleaning the kitchen and bathroom and vacuumed the rooms and hallways i also cleaned Button the Rabbit out and feed him/her i can never remember what sex we bought
phoned Helen's mum i have been invited round for Sunday dinner one o clock tomorrow
watched TV had a call from Helen which made my night , cooked some tea a frozen pasta meal did some chips had a bottle or two of pear cider and watched Stigmata on Sky TV then went to bed .

Sunday
Work up just after half past eight no work today its going to rain again , i put the weeks washing and i did some did ironing read a text of Helen sent her one regarding us going to Vegas her in white satin shirt with pink fish nets it was something i said to her a few years ago and it still rings true she will understand what i am saying . rearranged the tracks on my Nokia phone listen to them on a night whilst i am cleaning away take me to another dimension not really there when its sunny and i am listening to some good tunes its amazing how music takes you to where ever you want to go depending to what and who you are listening to and where it is you want go to and who it is you want to be with once you get there it works for me, i cant believe not every one has a i -pod or mp3 players and there is people out there that i nohow don't own a digital camera even though they have a pc weird or what unbelievable.

Went round to Helen's parents house dinner was spot on roast beef Yorkshire pudding roasted sweet potatoes and parsnips boiled potatoes and home made gravy only thing missing was of course Helen she was in the Red Sea snorkeling looking at all the beautiful fish and marine life tomorrow she is off swimming with dolphins and turtles nice work if you can get it .

Rain , rain and more rain for today and the rest of the weekend grey and gloomy , usually I want the weekend to go slowly, but this one I want it to fly by and for it to be Monday the start of the last week and final few days before Helen returns home. I think I am going to be more worried about her flying home than I was when she was flying out.


I just want to know she as landed safely and to hear her key turn and open our front door , or to get a phone call from her asking to pick her up from where ever she might be no distance too great to travel.

Need to get in to town over the weekend i need a hair cut and need some t-shirts and other bits and pieces want to get a couple magazines to read.

Have been thinking since last weekend about deleting the whole blog and starting again i have saved the whole of the blog to pen drive so the last few years will be recorded as a personal diary which i can read when i like and in a way its nice to start a fresh , i know i did it in real life i will think about it over the weekend before i permanently delete it or leave it and continue with it .. should it stay or should it go .

Feel better this morning the next four days are going to be cloudy dull with showers and rain which will suit the way i feel I want to get to Friday night without it dragging as the weekend will go faster , and i am working Saturday and if i can will do the Sunday too.


Bank holidays are coming up and i have booked some extra days off from both of my jobs, the first is a week this Friday Helen should be back in Leeds at around five am.

Also because its the bank Holidays, we get both the Monday and Tuesday off we get paid early which is a bonus.
Meet my Nephews in the local pub to watch the Leeds game i have no interest in football but would have liked to have seen them win but they lost so no promotion for another year.
Was i good night have arrange to meet mark again either Sunday or one night next week a cheap curry and a pint sounds good to me .

Helen sent me a photo she looked gorgeous cant wait for next week to finally get here, she also looks well relaxed and chilled ,and i bet she get the holiday blues big time when she flies back to rainy, credit crunch England , and hopefully she will insist on emigrating insist on living on a tropical island where we can live in a thatched hut , catch fish grow vegetables and pick fruit form the tropical forest and drink the local brew.

This week as dragged beyond believe i know it must be going quicker at Helen's end but this end its so very boring without her , and i am stuck in routine of work and sleep well almost , its ground hog day , and doing another week is going to do my head in hopeful it will go a lot quicker because the end is in sight hope to be going for a few beers just might get rat arsed and go to work late tomorrow use some flexi time up that will make the day go faster .

When i got home the evening went pretty fast did tea watched a hour TV and was in bed again for just after half eleven , sleep makes it all go faster.

Waking up too early on a morning since Helen has been away , usually around four o clock saying that i have been going to bed well before our usual time of around one half one and i never draw the curtains which doesn't help .

Helen sunburn does not seem to be has bad as i first thought as she is back on the beach but in the shade , she text me this morning saying she has now slipped a disc in her back she has had numerous problems over the years with her back regarding her slipped discs and sciatica and takes strong pain killers which usually kick in and do the trick.

Been listen to the ost from the film The Beach i up loaded it on to the i-pod that Helen took away with her later during the morning i got a text saying her favorite song to remind her of her time in Egypt was of the same album was Beached by Angelo Badalamneti & Orbital.

I have to say although i have been better coping without her than i thought i would although its dragging oh so very slow mainly it goes slower at work.

Once i am home with our and her things around obviously they are items of Helen that are purely her like her dressing gown make up under ware i don't think she will mind me wearing them then i am more at ease once as i get back to our house i know how a vampire must feel returning to its coffin or a mummy back to is to its sarcophagus i feel more relaxed and calm .




My sisters called round tonight and brought me some bottles of Magners cider and some toiletries , free gifts always appreciated thank you both and call again anytime.Get tonight done and half way there just about yippee this time next week i am going to be buzzing again miss you babe .

At least it was sunny this morning when i got up went to work Helen texted me she has been out too long in the sun and was suffering , i don't think she told me the full extent of her sunburn i think she is in a lot of agony and pain ,when i spoke to her later around eleven thirty last night the time there on she was in bed and i had woke her up , hopefully if she keeps in the shade she be OK .Took Guy back home and Bandit after i finished work last night at eight thirty , when i got back home i opened a tin of Tesco beef curry a microwavable rice and a couple of nan breads.

Worked today seven while three and whilst i was at work i got a photo sent from Helen via her phone who needs to wait for a postcard she was sunning herself on the Red Sea coast in Egypt i could see the pyramid's well two of them , she was supping cocktails listen to Bob Marley which cheered me up no end ...i texted her back begging for more and i texted her telling her that if she was to send me a topless shot of herself each day that she could stay another week ,hope she realised i was o/j she's better in the flesh f2f although she does photograph well .

Guy staying tonight with me and the dog Bandit who as been good as gold , its just another excuse Guy needs not to go to School i will let him this once and i will take him back tomorrow night after i finish work at half eight.

Went to Tesco express at Clarence Dock bought a few essentials then we walked by the canal to Leeds city centre called into Burger King got a couple of hamburgers for Guy and a couple of cheese burgers for myself fries and a coke, ,went to visit my sister Irene then picked Bandit up and went back down to the canal at Rodley this time walked in the opposite direction had to rush back so Guy could watch the TV series Lost on sky TV.

I got a phone call of Helen she done a bit too long in the sun and was suffering slightly TOLD HER NOT TO BURN HER WINGS ...........

Finished work last night at half eight it did drag got there in the end thank god for mp3's went to pick up my Son Guy and my dog Bandit from my old house , we got back to my house just after nine went to Ceasers for a Indian take away Guy like Helen eats only kormas never mined he will grow out of it .then we had to go back out to get him some cigs same again just like Helen good job i love them both .Watched die hard again saw before guy was born its that old scary it was being shown on sky i got to bed around one , was not sure if i was working this morning or not i went in to work to find out i was until three.

Paid Helen's phone bill for her she gave me her bank card to draw the money out i paid it using mine, Will draw the money out from her account if and when i need it.

Still missing Helen the house not the same without her in it being here and it as made me realise even more that its not bricks and mortar that make a home , i quoted that previously in a post and its certainly not possessions although a mobile phone with a camera and pc i couldn't live without , but its the person you choose to share it with to eat your meals and go to sleep with and to laugh and smile with to kiss and hold not because you have to do it because you want to do it.

My Dad's brother got buried at York yesterday seven people turned up that's not including him , i believe that's six more than i will mo0re than likely get , the only person i want there is Helen another thing i have realised since she has been gone don't ever want to live life without her don't want her popping off before me , she still thinks that she wont make it pass 53 years of age from what she was told to her by a spiritualist years ago and she does believe it perhaps if she had stayed in the life she had that might have been the case.. i still believe we control our own destiny and destiny changes as we do its got to change and its got to evolve , that makes sense that's logical .

Need to go get food , need to go buy Kat Von D tattoo book from HMV for thirteen pound , need to get gas and electric plus pear cider .

Went to see my Nephew Mark over at Greengates he is living with a girl he has had enough with just had a new kitchen fitted so we had a beer with him , then went to KFC wont want another one of them for two months at least i finally went home picked Bandit up my Jack Russell and drove down to the canal at Rodley near to where we use to rent our first proper house after leaving the apartment at Clarence Dock.

Got day one over with, I was relieved when I eventually got a text off Helen saying that the plane had landed and they was out of the airport on the way to the hotel .
When Helen got to the room they sent up pizza and drinks for her which was good , for some reason they never got feed on the plane.

Went to Tesco on the way home from my evening job just after half eight I got a few things some curry , ice cream, and chocolate biscuits. I got home to a empty house changed some off the water in the gold fish tank then did some ham and egg mayo sandwiches phoned my Son Guy I am picking him up tonight after I finish work.
Watched a bit of TV then went to bed after, I had put some photos that i had printed the last few weeks in a large pine picture frame and Placed it on top off the fire place in our bedroom which was only fitted the other week by Helen and her Dad directly at the foot of our bed .

Eventually got to sleep to wake up at four o clock this morning checked my phone no texts tried to go back to sleep missing Helen can’t live without her hate her being away although I did agree and was happy to let her go , as she did need a good break and us both going away was not possible , it doesn’t make her not being here any less painful.

last night was not too bad got through it OK , put a load of tracks on a spare I-pod for Helen to take with her to Egypt and sorted her out with the digital camera and memory cards.
Went for a Panini later on in the evening then watched a bit of TV, finally got to sleep well after two .

This morning was difficult I had a lump in my throat and felt sad and blue , I will be happier when I know she has safely landed in Egypt and got to her resort .




I have already booked some time off for Helen's return home , plus it’s also the bank holiday and we get the Monday and Tuesday off I have booked the Friday before and following Wednesday off although Helen will be working the weekend shift at the Hospital the day after she gets back to the U.K .

Helen has been texting me messages all morning i got one just before eleven o clock this morning telling me that she was just approaching Manchester Airport , safe journey Angel , i also got text from my twin sister that our Uncle my Dads surviving brother died at the weekend that's another clan member gone ....R.I.P Harry hope you meet up with Ted.


Another text of Helen she as been charged ninety pound for her suitcase being too heavy what a twat not a great start curse of the Pharaoh's and she ain't even there yet .Helen's flight left at 14.18pm and should land around eight o clock its just over five and a half hours flight time.

I am not working tonight i have taken tonight off as annual leave, as Helen leaves for Manchester Airport to jet of to Egypt tomorrow morning , after i leave for work this Thursday I wont see Helen again for two whole weeks fourteen days and nights .

There was a person on the radio the other day and their partner was going away for four months , quarter of a year how crap is that i be devastated that is a life time for anyone out there who is separated from your loved one , i hope your coping OK and waiting for the day that your reunited to come quickly you do have my sympathy , is there any secret on making the time go quickly i guess not , i suppose two weeks compared moths and years to that is nothing a drop in the ocean and easy manageable , still i have never been away from her or not seen her for that length of time since August 2007.
Once she goes and gets there safely then the quicker she comes home , its another bar of chocolate this one has only fourteen pieces at one piece a day its a good job i love chocolate .
I have bought her a St .Christopher pendant and a guardian Angel coin to take with her for safe travelling and prevention of any harm.

This time next week will be waking up on my own and for the following thirteen mornings after that i don't know if going to bed on your own is worse than waking up on your , i own dont want to have to get used to either of these options.
