One week today Helen flies to Egypt for two weeks , I am not looking forward to her being away i am starting to feel sick and sad , she is my soul mate and makes my life worth living being without her is going to hurt .I will take one day at a time and every day that's passes is one day nearer to her returning home.I never want to be part from her again and i hope i never are , it will be difficult working , eating and sleeping even though she wont be far from my thoughts and how ever many miles or continents separate us she will still be with me.

when we first started seeing each other we both had the same Samsung phones then we new phones on 18 month contract i got my LG Viewty and Helen had a Sony Ericison before she dropped it down the toilet had to get another cheap Samsung that she has never liked that much , our o2 contracts are now up for renewal and Helen as got a new Nokia 6600 slide which came today and i i have a Nokia E71 which will come tomorrow we both have 600 texts and 600 minutes and free calls to o2 numbers all for under twenty pounds a month think Helen has unlimited texts on her contract.

Started assembling the first of double wardrobes last night got the sides top and bottom panels fitted , did the hanging rail and curved head pieces I got the back panels which I screwed instead of nailing because it was nearly midnight, I fitted the first door which has a cover lath to hide the gap of the doors when they are both shut and has holes pre drilled to screw this lath in to place that’s when I noticed that the other door was exactly the same they have sent two right handed doors and not a pair of doors. Like I said to Helen don’t worry about it as we have not paid for them yet they will change the door to the one we require .Opened up the other wardrobe box to check its contents and it was packed correctly I will get that one assembled tonight.

Had Baxter’s Royal Game soup last night for tea with toast I use to have this with my father when I was growing up he has been dead nearly twenty five years another favourite of his which he always had for breakfast was brown bread and thick cut orange marmalade.

Went to the solicitors just before dinner and paid forty pounds for my so the absolute can be completed by the courts , when this is done I am a single again. I felt happy when I walked out of the solicitors reception I was elated, high and quite buzzing it made me realise even more that what I have done is 100% right, and that I don’t have any regrets what so ever and I am with the person I want to be with more than any other person , and I am truly madly deeply in love with Helen who has given me a new lease of life , I thank you baby.

Went to Max spielmann afterwards and got another mixture of photographs printed of my memory stick which added up to another 18 pictures for £7.92

Had to re cut the skirting board and the quadrant , it looks well and finishes the bedroom of nicely .
Hopefully tonight will get at least one of the double wardrobes completed, if not both of them this will finish our bedroom off apart from new bay windows and Central heating which will have to wait untill funds allow. This will be more or less one room completed.

FRIDAY

The Mexican furniture arrived when I got home after my shift at the hospital Helen's parents where at the house her father had ripped out the carpet and underlay from the dining room the house is now void of all carpet and had started to assemble the dining table and six chairs.
We had a Chinese take away roast duck in plum sauce x 3 and one with ginger and spring onions, prawn toast onion rings and crackers ,we completed the table after we had finished eating. After they had left I assembled the TV cabinet .

SATURDAY

Built the pine dresser and blanket chest after I went to work at the Hospital half past nine until four o clock in the afternoon we slept on the floor of the living room we do have a large brown rug Helen had repainted our bedroom floor black and we wanted it to dry hard before we walked on it we slept on the duvet and pillows.

SUNDAY

Went to the tip got rid of carpets and some card board boxes filled the car assembled two chest of drawers with a total of 10 drawers to assemble which took a few hours in between went over to Sheffield to pick up a Victorian cast iron fire place we bided for on eBay and bought for £46. Helen reainted this more or less as soon as we got it home it will be fitted in our bedroom whilst she did this i built two bedside cabinets for our bedroom. The only things left to build is two double wardrobes I will have to do these hopefully Monday night.

Took yesterday off as annual leave , I ripped out the fitted wardrobes from our bedroom they went all across the bedroom wall , covering both the alcoves and chimney breast .
Our bedroom now looks massive and the bay window looks totally different too. Filled in all the screw holes and dents etc and manage to give it a coat of paint we was painting well after half past twelve last night this morning. Also yesterday I ripped up the carpet under lay and lino from the living room we now only have carpet in the dining room which is on borrowed time .had to make two trips to the tip to dump all the waste .Also we had to pick Helen's son up from school the school rang Helen that has he was not feeling well and could she collect him , he too helped us do the carpets he felt better as soon as he left the school grounds and got to our house.
Now at this moment in time we have no cooker no carpets and no gas fire its getting more like a student squat every day at least we have no carpet mites cheaper fuel bills every cloud .Will get there one day, its still good fun and i am still madly deeply in love with a special lady i have no regrets and want to love to no one else but Helen,

Helen goes to Egypt a fortnight tomorrow for two weeks all I know it’s going to be weird hard and I will be at a loose end without her by my side since I left home to be with her I have never been apart from her for that length of time, I am not going to enjoy the experience.
Looking after myself cooking and cleaning does not bother me I can take care of me quite easily when the need arises , and no doubt it be Helen will do stuff before she jets off.

The difficulty will be missing her, not seeing her smile not speaking to her laughing with her and not being able to hug and kiss her all I know it’s going to be a long 14 days and nights.
Even work won’t be the same has I text her and phone her numerous times during the course of day as well as emailing one another.

I will have to fill my days doing stuff I don’t normal do , go to the canal visit parts that I have never walked on , see more of my Son if he is free to stay over have a couple of days off both weeks to break the weeks up.
Get more photos printed and do my clip art frame, read a few books and magazines, go out and take more photos of Leeds try and scrounge a few home cooked meals with family and friends. Clean the house top to bottom do some painting and other repairs here and there, and count the days one day at a time and wait for her safe return .

Got a load of Mexican pine furniture coming this Friday for the living room , dining room and our bedroom including wardrobes drawers and bookcases and tv stand .
Got Thursday off annual leave , this is to rip out the wardrobes out of our alcoves and chimney breast and move stuff around, hope they do get delivered Friday or we are going to be left with one big mess and no storage space at all.will need to repaint walls ceiling and floor once the alcoves are back to the original layout of the room.
I think I will be only working one day this weekend either the Saturday or the Sunday
So I have one day to get everything assembled and in situ hopefully without any hiccups.

MONDAY
This morning we set of for Cheddar , got that sat nav programmed in and updated , the egg mayo sarnies where freshly made, Helen insists on cutting them into quarters, along with two flasks, one coffee one tea.First stop petrol station filled up and started to head south we left at half past ten.only stopped off once on the way at a service station and got to cheddar at around half past two .I was impressed parked up three pound all day to park ,the views and scenery around us it was idyllic the rocks and cliffs with the road meandering through the gorge was as good as the Lakes or Scotland.

we called in to a few shops and walked down in to the rest off the village .called in for a chicken panini with cheese at Edelweiss cafe , i want to buy some scrump cider, i have never had cider other than stuff that's sold and bought from supermarkets and local off licence

Left just after five o clock , to set of for Bristol to stay at our Friends house about 20 miles away. On route we stopped at Priddy close to the gorge , where Diana Dors lived ,and is buried at the local church in unmarked grave so we are told.

Thanks to to the sat nav got to Bristol and the house we are staying at for the next two nights with out a hitch, We are staying in the summer house which was at the bottom of there garden and was built by hand not from a kit or pre assembled for under £1600.
We was on a sofa bed it was warm it was all electric with heaters and spot lights , and the bed wasn't that bad most of all it was free thank you Kerri and Paul ,we slept ok, it was a new experience made me think about converting our garage in to a summer house or guest house we cant get the Landrover in because of the drive and up and over garage doors.

Tuesday
went to Morrison's at Bristol for breakfast and headed for Illfracombe about 112 miles away. Helen bought me a silver ring which was very touching and will always remind me of our visit to Cheddar .

Called at Lynton and Lynmouth all these places Helen had been to before for me i had never been this far south for years and had never been to these villages and towns i have to say everywhere we went i loved and i want to go back and visit more places in Cornwall and coastal villages and towns as soon as we can .

WEDNESDAY
Heading over to Surrey later today to pick the fireplace that we bought of eBay went back to Cheddar had a great breakfast at this cafe everything was locally produced a apart from the baked beans.Bought a cask of scrumpy and we headed of to Surrey to pick the fire up just after twelve o clock 223 miles away finally go to the address and loaded the fire place and surround into the car just fit headed back to Leeds.

Last night when i finished work i picked up Helen from home at around half eight and we went over to Doncaster to pick up a cat PlayStation with platforms and scratch poles that Helen had bid for and won on eBay for a tenner. They sell for around £70 I got the sat nav out and keyed in post code of the ebay seller , and set off after i had eaten two chicken and mozzarella toasties with cherry tomatoes... got there without a hitch got to say the sat nav has got to be one of the best presents i have ever had, its worth its weight in gold. Again it would have took us ages to find the address if we had not got a tom tom to guide us .just need our kittens we are going back over to York this coming Saturday to pay the deposit for the ragdoll kittens although it wont be June until we have them.

Got a plan for next week hope it all pans out as we would like it to, Monday set of for Bristol at around half seven in the morning leave Leeds we are staying overnight at Bristol with a friend we worked with at the hospital a few years ago.
She stayed with us when she did card readings for people we know. She is going to put us up in a summer house that they have, what they class as a summer house I have no idea hopefully it as a electric supply and is half warm with no leaking roofs. We are hoping that we can a wrangle another night and stay Tuesday night as well even if its freezing and the roof leaks , if that is possible we can then we can spend a full day from eight in morning till ten at night in cheddar.
Take loads of photos and get some local brewed pear cider , a decent Cornish pasty or two plus fish and chips, crab Sandwiches waffles and scone jam and cream yum yum yum then Wednesday get go over to surrey to pick the fire place and fire up we won on eBay then drive back to Leeds totally knackered but happy.

Helen put all the plants and shrubs that she bought from B&Q in the front garden yesterday afternoon.
She bought them the day that we took Ellie to the re-homing centre last week . Also Helen planted over two hundred bulbs that we bought from Selby market last year ,they should pop up during the coming summer months , she weeded all of the weeds from the borders as well as lawn ,she swept all of the drive and paths and also weeded the back garden, needless to say she was totally knackered .

Breaking up this Thursday from job number one, I am working good Friday at job number two which is the hospital job .I do this shift is only from 9.00am until 15.00pm so it’s still a early finish I am not sure what shift I am down to do at the weekend I have Monday Tuesday and Wednesday off from both jobs three days no work plus I have Thursday and Friday off from job number one.

we have to pick up the pine fire place and gas fire that we won on eBay from Surrey one day next week which won’t be Easter Monday.

FRIDAY
Helen let our rabbit Button out of its hutch in to the garden its been coped up for ages she did this afternoon she let it out of its cage and now its been out for hours she will not go back in to her cage,so we have had to let it stay out so she is going to be out all night as we are off to bed .Hopefully it cant get out of the garden and nothing can get in to the garden to hurt it, the mad bunny.
SATURDAY
didn't work until twelve o clock i still dropped Helen of at seven o clock went home then went in to town bought three black t-shirts from Primark and six pairs of black socks finished work at half past six.

Finally got the rabbit Button in we trapped it using the plastic washing laundry basket, i quickly grabbed it and it kicked and scratched but i quickly turned it on to its back all rabbits go quite docile and wont struggle when you do this to them they stop trying to get away try it if you don't believe it, i then put her back in to her hutch safe and well .

Helen and myself went to meet my two sisters and their partners in the owl pub at Rodley near to where we use to live had a bottle of pear cider, from there we went to the Karachi curry house in Bradford had a meat curry a chicken korma three chapattis two poppadoms 2 portions of onion bahjees one pilau rice and one portion of chips £14.80 for the two of us .

SUNDAY
Dint go to work Helen booked a days holiday went over to york to see some kittens at two different locations some over at whenby one side of york which looked like it was something out of wrong turn and the cats didn't fair much better the cats and dogs all together in the garden that looked like the dingles would turn there nose up at.
The second lot of kittens faired much better and were Ragdolls, the lady who kept them loved them all dearly she had numerous kittens and cats , some just a few days old some a month old and other weeks old we have picked two kittens from different litters and bloodlines a Tom and a Queen seeing that we are going to have a go at breeding them.

we go back in two weeks to pay deposit and to make sure they are both living one of the female we have chosen is only a few days old and we don't even know how her true colours or markings be until she is a few weeks older.

Went to two different pet shops and bought a new litter tray to go on the landing a cat carrier for transport and trips to the vet , and round orb like wicker cat sleeping basket its on a stand to keep it of the floor out of draughts and it can roatate to what postion you want this only cost nearly fifty pounds which Helen saw it fell in love with it and bought it.

Went to the red bus cafe on the A64 on the way back home, this was at around half past two and we had a late breakfast still as good as ever everthing cooked to perfection.

Friday, April 03, 2009

Received letter from solicitor requesting forty pounds to pay to the court for my absolute completing i will have to sort it out and drop in to his office and pay the amount early next week I want to be totally free I don’t want to be married for one day longer than I need to be , i will be as free as Helen is , and we be two single people living together.

The house is really quite without Ellie its strange coming home and her not barking and running up to the door the kitchen looks bigger without her bed and food bowls. Helen spent all day yesterday cleaning the house from top to bottom, think it was mainly to get rid of any trace of Ellie which I cant blame her for.

Thursday, April 02, 2009

Yesterday got two text messages of Helen stating that our westie is uncontrollable and mental. It’s been getting more aggressive lately, to the point that you can’t even leave the room without it attacking you , barking and generally going crazy. Enough is enough , so we have made a decision to let it go.

It constantly follows Helen every where she goes in the house, she can’t even go to the toilet without it following her it even gets in the shower when she washes her hair or has a proper shower .

we have had enough and the neighbour's must be sick of hearing it bark and yap we cant leave the door open it goes out side and creates anyone that passes the gate , it barks at or any noise that it hears and it sets it off.

I booked it in to rescue centre to get it re housed , we went along yesterday afternoon to drop it off , i finished work early , it was sad but the choice was made by the dog by its own bad behaviour.

A pet at the end of the day is suppose to relax and calm you down and be a pleasure to have and own, not to agitate and wind you up and get to the stage where you could lose you patience with it on a hourly basis. it was dropped of and we went home to peace and quite it was strange this morning not having it around but we will adjust.

Helen picked up a load of plants to go in to the garden at the front of the house.

I went to Max Spielmann and printed some photographs of from a memory stick using the kodak in house photo both one of my memory sticks it wouldn't recognise that it had been connected but the other one i had with me was fine.

I was impressed with the quality and the time it took to complete my order, and the price of 45p a photo i felt was right, i just had eighteen done to see how they turned out , i now plan on making regular trips to get more done i will need to invest and buy a big clip art frame for the dining room wall i want to change the frame as and when i get more printed, you can guess who they are mostly of.

Been looking online at exotic cats breeds we thinking of getting two that we can breed from, it be another source of income and be better than having another dog Helen would look after the litter of kittens when i was at work .

CROSS AND TIRED

THURSDAY - Today is minus six degrees went out with the dogs this morning it was sunny but ice cold if it gets colder will have to invest i...
