Another dull rainy cloudy day in July cant believe the weather we are having at the moment hope we do have an Indian summer i prefer if we did every year.

leaving work at four we are going out to a little country pub after tea but not sure where i feel the need to go somewhere green and leafy with water close by might go over to York and hunt a pub out that way.But all depends on the weather and and at what time we eat.
dinner time went to Leeds market for a tray of Donner meat and chips with garlic mayo and red onions from the metro takeaway.
work boring went and did two lines on the lottery fingers crossed waiting for home time so i can be with Helen.

Yesterday went to the open air museum at Beamish which shows what life was like in the 1900 and 1800 in the north of England , we have been meaning to go for ages and never made it . we got there just after eleven in the morning the entrance fee was £16.00 each, which for a full day out is good value,we visited most of the house's that the miners lived in they was given free rent and free coal and a decent wage to live off , but a big minus was that they was no pit baths they had to go home dirty and change their clothes at home as a result the houses where covered in coal dust from shaking out the dust from the miners clothes and boots, the village school and church next door was next on call ,took one of the many trams and we visited the dentist's surgery in the town centre and some of the tools on display they still use to this day , for a tooth filling it was 16 shillings the average weekly wage was 15 shillings or for the tooth pulling it was only 2 shillings plus two and a half shillings if you wanted nitrous oxide , in the solicitors office not a Rolex watch or Porsche in sight , we visited the sweet shop and saw the sweets being made by hand you was given samples to try , and the local co -op was a bargain if only the price's remained the same , the masonic hall was the least interesting place once we had come out of there we headed for the sun inn public house which had sawdust in a channel around the front of the bar which the miners used for clearing their chests and spitting out whatever they brought up out into the sawdust , our drinks we had in plastic beakers so we could take them out and drink them over the road at the park.

Today made appointment for my solicitor to go through the next steps of my divorce which is next Tuesday at twelve o clock.got the cheque for the bond which came in at £389.95 which is £135.05 less than what i original paid but better then the £167.09 they estimated is what i would owe when everything was sorted out.

I have got every night off this week took Ellie the westie to the vets for her first vaccination she never whimpered she was also wormed and weighed we was also told she as a small hernia which will be fixed when she gets spayed.

Last night went to a BBQ at Katie's and Martins over at Crofton with Ste and Faye and decided all to meet up in Whitby so as a result of that today we are going back over to Whitby i have not been to Whitby for years then in the space of weeks go twice, made some egg mayonnaise sandwiches a flask of tea and coffee and Helen also had cooked some chicken legs that morning . Had to park up near the Abbey as the town centre was parked up solid and with queues at all car parks.Visited all the shops again plus some that was shut last time we visited, bought some bits and pieces and ornaments for the house one of the things that Helen bought was an enchanted fairy door , hopefully our life is enchanted any way ( i do believe it is) but we can always do with the help of the little ones if the wish to come and visit us in to our house then they have a means of entrance .Finished in Whitby an drove over to Sandsend a place i never been to not much happening but it was scenic so went on to Robin hoods Bay walked down the hill to the beach it was very misty ideal smuggling weather i guess , the tide was out strolled up to some boats that where resting on the sands until the tide comes back in to re float them ,photographed Helen wading and paddling in the sea with the mist Rollin in they are my favorite photos that i have took over the the last few Weeks .Viewed some very nice cottages to stay in , hopefully we will return and get to stay a long weekend sometime this year and chill out . Finished in Robin hoods bay and drove just over 18 miles to Scarborough for fish and chips, there was a few more people there since our last visit we got our meal on the sea front ate our fish and chips on the benches opposite the harbour , the harbour and docks was also covered in mist and fog like Robin hoods bay we got back home just before midnight.

Received a courtesy phone call from LS1 agents whom i leased the apartment off guess what i will finally be receiving my bond back that i paid in December 2007 repaid to me via cheque which i should be receiving sometime next week in the post fingers crossed its took them long enough to sort it out . Got to go up to my sisters house sometime to drop of some opera in the park tickets for the concert this Saturday night.
The newest dog is answering to Ellie so it might be that's what Helen will decide to call her so doesn't recognise the name molly so we will see, need to sort out her first injection so we can take her down to the canal.
finished work picked Helen up and went over to Crossgates to eat out at Sorrento's an Italian restaurant (really liked the fake plastic fish in the tall fish tank next to our table) all the other diners were gone apart from a family of four which left after fifteen minutes of us getting there , i had a doner meat kebeb pizza with chili i know it is not exactly Italian but its what i like Helen had Tagliatelli carbonara ordered a side order of fries and bread roll .

Thursday, July 24, 2008

Had yesterday off from my day job , i had arranged to drop the land rover of at the dealers i bought it from at 11.00am to have the squeaky brakes sorted out and adjusted , hopefully will be all fixed ready for four o clock when i have to go to job 2 at the hospital.

Passed Urban man a local barbers shop that is situated in Farsely just up the road from Rodley and decided to nip on in and get my hair chopped up and re-spiked,resulting in short on the sides and messed up on the top with some gel to fix it all in place and keep it messy cost for the hacking £7.00 with a one pound tip.

TODAY :- this evening i wont be starting my night job at the hospital until around six o clock give or take ......i am going to take Helen over to Crofton for her psychic class its every fortnight and today she is having trouble getting there so i am leaving work and driving home to pick her up her driving her over there then driving back to Leeds so i can start work , i will finish my shift and then go and pick her up at half past ten.

Hopefully i will have next week off i have the time of from my evening job not 100% sure what i am doing about the day job as of yet.

At dinner time paid £140 of my virgin credit card Richard Branson once again will be dining out tonight on the strength of that payment going through have a drink on me , anddont forget to leave a tip at least £140.

bought some new tooth brush heads for my Braun electric toothbrush should last three months and two large tubes of Coldgate and two pearl drops for Helen . had another Ugo chicken panini for dinner didn't taste as good might not bother getting another one .

Took Ellie back to Dogs4us getting a refund and just keeping Molly who is a lot quieter and easier to manage the neighbour's i think was pissed of with hearing her bark and as we at the moment live in rented accommodation we have to be careful

Took Helen over to Crofton at tea time then went back to Leeds to go to my night time job started at six o clock an hour late , had duck green peppers in black bean sauce before i went to pick Helen back up at half past ten.

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

Helen baked strawberry pies again yum yum did one like a Cornish pastie which i will take to work , she phoned me up totally stressed out that the dogs was not getting on together and where fighting so she had separated them , i phoned dogs4us up and was told them the situation they said that they would take the dog back but that if we would loose £200 from the cost of the purchase price , Helen text me and rang me saying she was worried then asked me to leave work early and

To be honest when i got home and put the dogs together they was getting on fine they was playing and tackling one another and wrestling but where not vicious all in all just being puppies i told Helen that they where only play fighting and they was not hating the sight of each another.

we let them out in the garden and they got on and played together they slept in the dog basket together although molly did get out and slept at the side so we put a blanket down for her next to the basket , they both paper trained and the new dog does not bark she at the moment does not woof which i don't know if its a blessing molly is 17 days older then Ellie the first dog and weighs more than Ellie

It is looking like that they will become the best of Friends when they have settled in together which i reckon will only take a few days at the most.
They did sleep last night together ok until they woke up this morning at half past five Helen bless her did get out of bed to go and feed them then later came back to bed.

Monday morning at 9-30am i went to the building society before i went to work at Hunslet to withdraw the rest off the over draught money out from the joint account, seeing as i can not close the account or freeze it due to the fact it is in joint names the building society wont suspend the account whilst its in the red or put it in to a single name , so i transferred out £1250 and deposited it in to my savings account , seeing that my x wife as already spent £1740 out of the limit of £3000 which i will be responsible for paying half hence the reason behind my actions.
I did telephone my wife after wards to warn her what i had done and to stop any direct debit payments that she as still set up she took it very well and it seems she is acknowledging the fact the divorce and the sale of the house will go through sooner rather than later it is in her own interest to walk away with as much money as she can from the sale of the house.
transferred the mortgage to interest only which as reduced the monthly payments from £600 to £385 but no capital is getting paid of but at least this will stop the house from getting reposed until it is sold .
I also from speaking to her found out she is starting another job next month which is a step in the right direction and might make life easier for her i hope it does.
Picked molly up from Dogs4us today at dinner time today we took her home and Helen is settling her in and introducing her to Ellie our other westie the first signs are promising and they look like they should get on with each other they are both female , i did take a few pictures before i had to return back to work.
WEEKEND
Saturday worked until three o clock Helen another four weeks on sick uneventful nothing major happened wife into the over draught so i have decided to take action and draw the rest out and bank it to stop her fritting it away and me getting lumbered for half the amount.cant do this until Monday morning i don't know how much she is into it but we have a £3000 over draught that we could use when we cashed the endowment in it was paid of the account was not closed because she had direct debits to sort out she asked for a few weeks to makes changes and i agreed time went by and i forgot all about it until now.
SUNDAY
Went to work afterwards at three o clock went to visit the pup Molly at Dogs4us after i had
picked Helen up from home when we go there Molly was one her own the rest of the litter had all been sold off.
Helen's mother and father called i went with her father and took some photos up the road near to where we live of a tree growing from the pavement , the roots had lifted all of the tarmac which she had fallen over a few months earlier and broke her wrist and foot in the fall that occurred the photos was to send to her solicitors regarding a claim for compensation.
once they had left had Sunday dinner roast chicken and roasted vegetables with Yorkshire puddings and stuffing.
Later that evening went over to Crofton to visit Martin and Katie had a look round there caravan which was clean and cosy we also trimmed the fur on there loin head rabbit.

Friday, July 18, 2008

Alarm went of at half past six as normal for a week day , i got up washed shaved and brushed my teeth , then went back to the bedroom reset the alarm on my mobile for eight o clock and got back into bed , i snuggled up to Helen and went back to sleep could have stayed there until dinner time no problem and fcuk work altogether.

I got into work at eight forty went to Tesco Express which is just around the corner from the office i work in , did two lines on the National lottery for this Saturday's draw and bought a four pack of current t-cakes to toast for breakfast ,When got to my desk checked my Private emails that was after after i had made a coffee and toasted a current t-cake which i had with marmalade on , i sat at my PC and read a few other peoples blogs that i regular read on a day to day basis and chilled because:- Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right.. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it. (this was extracted from a email Helen had forwarded on to me........and are not my own words but i do agree with what it says) .

I went home at dinner time to visit Helen had been to the vets with Ellie and she had been given a injection of antibiotics and some tablets and should have no lasting effects and be a.o.k ,whilst Helen was there she looked at another set of westies pups and wants more then anything to get a play mate for Ellie i went in my lunch to go view the dogs , obviously we are picking the new pup up next Friday she is eight weeks old and will be called at this early stage Molly but as we know that could change Helen paid the fifty pound deposit which holds the dog a week for us they marked its belly with a x in permanent marker pen to signify its been sold they are already micro chipped and we have the chips number so we know when we go back to collect her that we know we have the right dog.
There is no more Ugo's at Tesco express at the moment every one in the office is eating them well a few of us have been indulging in them resulting in they have all been sold out supply and demand bet when they a restocked they are no longer on offer.

Ellie is still passing small amount of blood in her poo she as started to winch slightly when she goes to the toilet we have an appointment to take her back to the vets at dogs4us tomorrow at 11.15am , to get her fully checked out and hopefully to discover what the problem is and what course of treatment will follow.
Finished work after doing another training course last nights course being cancelled because due someone having it away with the laptop that was being used for the power point presentation.

Helen cooked a gorgeous beef bourguignon with dumplings and Yorkshire puddings and bubble and squeak had it with a bottle of pear cider.
booked Ellie in at the vets tomorrow at 11.15am to get her fully checked out and to make sure is in good health , she as her first injection this coming Monday then two weeks later her final one then a week after that she can go walking outside down to the canal and out and about.

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Helen went to her G.P's yesterday and got another sick note off him for another four weeks , her back is playing up she as a slipped disc and suffers from sciatica also. This means that Ellie our westie pup wont be left on her own on the weekend's for at least another four weeks which gives her more time to settle in and adapt to living with us.

This morning at seven o clock she was being bathed in the kitchen sink by Helen she had used her training mat through out the night and had manage to stand in it there was no blood present which was a good sign , whilst i cleared the mess up in the conservatory Helen bathed Ellie. We have special shampoo for white dogs and when you use it the dog goes blue until you rinse it off which i am going have to get a photo off.

I have been signing a few petitions via the Internet that are forward to the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street the one's i have put my name to are :- regarding guns and knives , vat on vet bills , bringing back the death penalty and to reduce the price of petrol and fuel. to view all current petitions and to sign your name to the ones you have sympathy or agree with then visit this link there is hundreds to choose from and some are quite amusing http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/list.

Looks like the westie is going to be called Ellie and not Megan i do prefer Ellie for obvious reasons.

Last night was on refresher training doing food hygiene which took a hour and a quarter to complete especially when it was on the other side of the hospital i have other training every night this week apart from tonight so this week working my night shift should fly by .

Helen goes back to her Doctors tonight i think she will be given another sick note which will help her get the puppy better settled in if she does not have to work weekends for a few more weeks.

At lunch time went with a work mate and i did a quick visit to the Royal Armouries and the recently opened exhibition for summer if we ever get one "Arms & Armour From The Movies" these artifacts are being displayed until the 16th November and and entrance is free and covers films such as The Lord of the Rings and Narnia are all weapons and costumes are made by Weta workshops which are in New Zealand http://www.wetaworkshop.co.nz/.
Been nearly falling asleep all day its so boring i have decided i want to do a job that i am going to enjoy going to every day that i don't dread getting up for that is differnet does not involve sitting in a office every day , will wait and see what happens regarding my divorce and see what money i walk away with then decide on who with what and where i want to work.

Monday, July 14, 2008

The westie Megan is doing OK today her poo is looking a lot better and the blood is clearing up Helen got up with me this morning and was back cooking scrambled eggs for dogs once again , Helen text me whilst i was at work to say that we had mice , so i text her back to say no way that we was going to get a cat.
I then called her to ask where she had seen them Helen is not that keen on the little four legged squeaking critters , she told me she had witnessed them outside in the garden between the flowers beds and bushes , bless her no doubt they are attracted by the rabbits food which she as kicked out of her cage on to the floor below.
Got a very nasty text then a phone call of my daughter which to be honest disgusted me and was uncalled for i doubt if she will be contacting me again for a while or if ever , hopefully when she as time to ponder on her actions words and phrases she will regret her use of words but i doubt that wont be for a very long time if ever.
Breaks are badly squeaking on the landrover and its very noisy and annoying been told it maybe a bit of rust or damp on around the pads seeing it has been stood on a forecourt and washed three times a week this may rectify its self and i have been told by the garage to give it a week to wear them back in and if it persists after that they will have it back in to sort it out.
MY WEEKEND :- This weekend worked until three o clock both on the Saturday and on the Sunday as hard as it was.

Helen was extremely upset over Penny leaving us , we ONLY get rid of her because she was hard work training her and her temperament , not because we didn't want dog , she originally did from the start want a westie but opted for the jack Russell i think mainly because i had one when i lived with my wife which stayed in the family home when i moved out.
So after work on Saturday i picked Helen up from home she was extremely giddy and excited , Helen and i went to the newly opened Dogs4us which had only been trading for that week , and sells everything dog related including different breeds of puppy's which are already micro chipped and vaccinated for worms and fleas they had two litters of westies and a total of only two bitches in the seven dogs they had which was one in each litter , Her name is going to be a choice between Ellie and Megan which means pearl at the moment it looks like Megan is favorite .I have got to admit i would miss having a dog about the place if we never had one again and i do think life is boring without one.
By Saturday night she seem to have settled in was eating her dinner and checking out her new surroundings.
She already goes on her training pads when she needs to go to the toilet and she sleeps through the night undisturbed .
She as been passing a small amount of blood over the weekend when she goes to the toilet this we have been told could be due to her getting rid of worms and should clear up.
SUNDAY

Sunday went over to Crofton and then on to Flockton had a Curried Duck and duck in plum sauce rice and chips for supper from a local Chinese take away in Horbury , we left the westie on her own when we got back she had been good and gone on her training pad every time she needed to go , cooked her some boiled rice and added bran to sort her bowel out .

Friday, July 11, 2008

Last night I finished work at six o clock then i picked Helen up from our house at Rodley and drove her over to her brothers house at Crofton where she gets picked up from for her psychic development class. While she was there i went to to a local Chinese take away and got curried duck and chips which i ate in the car and got on my nice clean white t-shirt which i reversed once i had finished.

drove over to Pugneys country park mainly because i have never been before had a brief walk round looked like it was about to rain again so much for summer so i drove over to Asda bought tow bunches of flowers and two bottles of green goblin cider and a bar chocolate after my brief shopping trip i visited two pubs the Three Houses and the New Inn I had half a cider in each.
after ten picked Helen up and called in to Asda again this time for bread ,bacon ,eggs and other bread rolls and bread cakes and bits we needed this was well after half past eleven,no rest for the wicked.

Today PENNY left us and our home we are one less , we was both very emotional and upset Helen was in tears by the time we got to the dogs home where we was dropping penny off , she is in our thoughts and prays that she does gets a nice new family who will look after her and treat her well.

Picked the Landrover Freelander up this afternoon drives ok and its bigger than it appears but drives really well its the first diesel car i have owned plus its the first black car i have had , and guess what came with hardly any juice in its tank , so i first went to the garage and filled it up with unleaded o/j i did put diesel in to the tank but will have to remember for a while that it is not unleaded , i only just put twenty pound in to gauge how long it will last hopefully longer than fuel did in the Laguna .

Thursday, July 10, 2008

Got Penny in at the Dog Trust to get her re housed and a new home . Helen and myself just haven't got the time to train her and give her the attention she needs she is a difficult dog and me working the hours that i do a lot of it is left to Helen to train her clean up after her.

Helen when at home as to have her with her all day with her and her ankles are constantly attacked and bitten although its done in a playful manner and she is not aggressive but having a dog attached to your leg all day is not funny and it does wear you down.
Another factor the Landlord only agreed to us having a dog if it was properly house trained this is proving difficult and we have been getting no where quick we have had training pads down and she is allowed in the garden it is totally enclosed and safe but she destroys all the flowers and plants , we will go out for walks yet she will come back and do her wee pooh as soon as she returns home she knows she is doing wrong yet continues to do so , the laminate floor is all lifting in the conservatory and will have no doubt soaked through to the felt underlay and we feel that before we got evicted we would get her in with another family through a organisation dealing in unwanted animals cats and dogs .

we both discussed this and has hard as it was to decide we feel the choice really was made for us and we will both miss her and be sad to let her go we both hope and pray she goes to a good home and will have a happy long life .

Helen went to Toy's r us and came home with a packet of Farley's rusks they are her favorite biscuits and the best way to eat them is to butter the flat side and eat had one and to be honest they are not that bad.

Helen went also to Ikea bought some more plates dishes and a new rug for the living room and two chocolate doughnuts one each.

Wednesday, July 09, 2008

woke up before the alarm went of at half past six reset it for half five past eight decided to go to work late cuddled up to Helen be so easy to phone in sick and say stuff it but i didn't but when you think how short life is why do we spend the time we do at work would having less make us more contented happy and gives us more time to see and taste life before it passes us by if only.

Helen sent us a photo message at 10.30 this morning that she took of herself she had just finished washing her hair she had a towel wrapped around her head and she was wearing a white v necked t-shirt that will make me smile the rest of the day and keep me going until i see her again tonight.

Got this Friday off going to collect the Landrover Freelander from the garage so at least i wont be working all of the week and will spend some of the day with Helen although i will still be going to my night job.

At dinner time went over to Costco its a while since i have been i had lunch a jacket potato chili and cheese and a coke i went there to give a mate a hand with a plastic shed he was buying and dropping of at his home address , whilst i was doing this i had a phone call from my daughter she asked if it would be OK to visit us at our house this weekend after i finish working Sunday.
Which means in a nut shell that if i pick her up she will see the new motor and report the fact back to the x -wife , i can see it causing her to be totally pissed off jealous and hate me even more , even though she had a brand new motor the little C2 which she kept for herself when i left , the fact is i do need a reliable car but i bet she don't see it that way ................so what i really don't care it might send her a message that i am rebuilding my life and i will get my share of the house some time in the future .

She is in the dog house our dog Penny the Jack Russell is being a pain in the backside she keeps biting Helen's ankles jumping up at her and pissing and shitting where she likes which is every where apart from outside.
We do live in rented accommodation although we have the whole of the house and its clean top to bottom the last thing we need is being evicted because the house reeks from the smell of dog wee and poo and if things don't improve quickly Penny might have to be up for eviction adoption or re housed asp.

Tuesday, July 08, 2008

Got a phone call from my Daughter today she as not spoken to me or contacted me for a few weeks since i let my X Wife know that i wanted to sell the house. she is being interviewed by radio5 live regarding her name she was christened Tuesday which was the name that i decided on and its all to do with Nicole Kiddman calling her Daughter Sunday.

Helen cooked two banana cake if there is anything i like as much as strawberry pie its banana cake and i have to say without creeping or grovelling Helen's has to be one of the moistest tastiest one ever that i have eaten trouble is its too nice she has open Pandora's box she will have to bake at least once a week if we could cook enough to sell we both could pack working in and sell made in Yorkshire banana cake throughout the world its that good.

Cancelled two direct debits one for o2 the take different amounts every time so i will pay it over the Internet a couple of times i have been charged bank charges because i have gone over my agreed overdraught and my car insurance which i have cancelled due to changing motors this Friday.

Monday, July 07, 2008

Saturday and Sunday worked until one o clock which after having the full week of i thought i did well to go in at all.

Saturday tea Helen made home made fish and chips which i have to say is better than most fish and chip shops.

Toilet blocked solid took half a bin liner of waste out from the drain and the toilet water level still had not dropped had to cal out a drain company to jet it all out £105 for half an hours work even he had trouble clearing it and had one point thought he was not going to be able to , true what they say about where there is muck there is money.

went over to visit Katie and Martin over at Crofton did Angel cards and tarot card readings.

Back to work today going to my night job but i will try to finish early tonight , Helen and i are going to meet my elder sister and the rest of the family and friends for her birthday celebration we are all meeting up near to our house at the pub at the bottom of our street no taxi fares for us then no risk of drink and driving either for food and drinks.Had home made steak pie Helen had the scampi had a couple of drinks we where the last ones there i manage to leave work early i started and hour earlier than normal so i could get all my work done on time and make the party at a reasonable time.Once again i forgot to take my camera but most people where snapping away so will get some photos at some time.

Friday, July 04, 2008

Went out today to Farsley near Rodley to go to the Chemist to get a prescription with Helen she bought her tablets and on the way back i bought this Land rover Free lander its 2litre BMW diesel engine which i was not aware of and its in in metallic black i have always wanted a black car it has only 32,000 miles on the clock and a full 12months M.O.T and 12 months road tax and i have to say it looks totally wicked for £5995 which is a good price for this model of car in this condition the picture makes the bodywork look scratched it is not its in mint condition inside and out including tyres.
I prefer this car and will get a greater buzz owning it then when i got the Citroen C2 and that was a brand new car with delivery miles only on the clock this car looks and feels right.Although i wish it had a CD it has a cassette deck which will hook my i-pod up to and use this method instead of playing cd discs and having Cd's scattered everywhere.

I was happy when i got the Laguna thank you Mick it has got us out and about to places we couldn't have got to and its been a godsend but its M.O.T is due this month , i do think it would pass maybe one tyre is questionable and the breaks are squeaking sometimes and it does keep cutting out when setting off when the engine is cold and has been stood for a while , to fix this i have been told it needs putting on the computer at Renault to set the engine management system up correctly which would cost x amount of money.

The average mpg for the free lander is 35 miles a gallon which should be cheaper on fuel than the Laguna which will help finance it partly i have other savings i am making so it should more or less be self funding .
I pick it up next Friday and i have already insured fully comp the documents should reach me in time they are faxing copies to the garage i have bought the car from just in case , the insurance which is costing not that much more money than what the Laguna cost me for third party fire and theft.
Went on walk about with Penny she still not 100% behaved when on put a lead until she gets tired then walks as she should do she attacks her lead and is sometimes afraid and cowers when strangers approach her direction.

Thursday, July 03, 2008

Went to Second Hand Rose at Scarthingwell bought a few bits and pieces for the house.Bought a tea light ring to go around the patio umbrella which needs fixing as it broke during some high winds the other week bought a metal watering can and a metal matching urn a metal and pot cat and dog .

Then went over to Harewood house didn't have time to do everything went round the kitchen and servants quarters and princess Marys rooms we did manage to go over too the bird garden and did see the penguins bought some bird food and feed the ducks and other small birds that where strolling around, had tea at the courtyard ham sandwiches scone and carrot cake all home made at Harewood the only thing we hated was that the main house shut its doors at half past four which is way too early it would be nice to view the house at night we did see the gardens to the rear and we did not get there until mid afternoon we will have to go back and spend a day there also i didn't have my camera just mobile phone so going back is a must some time soon.
Called in to country baskets Helen bought a stone bird bath some imitation ivy for the rack in the kitchen

Wednesday, July 02, 2008

Slept in until ten thirty got up showered and made some more egg mayo sandwiches and re did the flasks today we decided to return to knaresbourough.Went to the market there Helen bought some plants for the garden as shown in the photo.and a enamel jug and matching bucket to plant the new plants and shrubs in to .

Got up at half past eight Helen went to the hair dressers for her hair re-colouring blonde again she has this done every five to six weeks .i picked her up from the hairdressers at 12.15pm.

We went home and made some egg mayonnaise and ham and egg mayonnaise sandwiches i did a flask of tea for Helen ans a flask of coffee for me and set of for Whitby at around two o clock.
got there parked up went round the shops bought some fudge went down the Pier to eat our sandwiches even feed the seagulls which seem to appreciate Hovis wholemeal bread.

I went for a reading by Lee Ester Alita Lee Clairvoyant and spiritualist a true born Romany at fifteen pound a time told me my future easily parted with money run true hehe and that i would be changing my car very soon , time will tell how exact she is some of the things she was spot on and was quite 100% exact on one or two points which was quite surprising so maybe just maybe i made a wish before she started holding her crystal ball hopefully that one wish does come true and if it does i would be blessed the rest of my life and ask for nothing else and it had nothing to do with wealth , wining the lottery or or anything material at all.

walked up the steps to the Abbey can see all of Whitby from the top of the stairs took plenty of photos and we walked through the grave yard to the walled Abbey we couldn't venture in but as we walked round we mange to see all of the Abbey more or less and all of Whitby as well.

We had to get fish and chips even though we already eaten we didn't have any the other day when we went to Bridlington. so we went to the one and only place you should have fish and chips in Whitby the Magpie fish restaurant we had to queue for about twenty minutes it was just before half eight once we got seated looked at the photos on the wall's taken by Frank Meadow Suttcliffe.
Both of us had haddock and chips with b&b mine i had with baked beans and Helen's with mushy peas plus one coffee and one tea .
Left the house at just after eleven not really sure where we are going got on to the A64 which gives us a few options decided to go to Bridlington which i have not been to for years bought a Ted Smith top we walked on the beach front the tide was in had a ice cream it was fairly sunny and hot we went in to a few shops and decided not to have any fish and chips we want them when we go to Whitby .
got bored of Brid so decided to back track over to York used the park and ride at the designer outlet and a bus was waiting to take us in to the city centre last bus back was 7.79pm which i thought was too early meaning we only had three hours to spend which is not enough every time.
We have been to york on a few occasions in the last few months and they have always been queuing out of the doors
this time there was free tables .
so we called in for afternoon tea i had a free range chicken breast open sandwich with red caramelised onion's and raclette melted cheese on a toasted ciabatta bread the coffee was nearly a fiver a cup i have never paid five pounds for a coffee before i was intrigued to see how good it would taste so thought i would try a st Helena island coffee which once i had tasted could drink it all the time the beans are grown on a remote South Atlantic island apparently , then for desert be criminal not to i tried the elderflower cake with fresh strawberries and clotted cream Helen had egg mayonnaise sandwich with tea followed by pancakes with meringue with fresh lemon sauce and organic ice cream with summer berries.whilst we was eating a pianist played a upright piano no mobile phones allowed no piped music all fresh ingredients cooked to order and i suppose that is why they charged the prices they do and why its almost always full with queues going out of the door

we walked through the museum gardens near down near by the river caught the last bus back to the park and ride the car parks are all locked down by barriers so we dare not get a taxi late back because we wouldn't of got the car out , on the way back to Leeds went to Acaster Malbis to the Ship Inn had a pint of cider then we drove round to the caravan sites and static homes just to be nosey .
stopped of at Asda bought some thermos flasks to take with us when we are out and about.
Helen tired to colour her own hair which didn't work this was after midnight two o clock we went to bed another late night.
