Left the house at just after eleven not really sure where we are going got on to the A64 which gives us a few options decided to go to Bridlington which i have not been to for years bought a Ted Smith top we walked on the beach front the tide was in had a ice cream it was fairly sunny and hot we went in to a few shops and decided not to have any fish and chips we want them when we go to Whitby .
got bored of Brid so decided to back track over to York used the park and ride at the designer outlet and a bus was waiting to take us in to the city centre last bus back was 7.79pm which i thought was too early meaning we only had three hours to spend which is not enough every time.
We have been to york on a few occasions in the last few months and they have always been queuing out of the doors
this time there was free tables .
so we called in for afternoon tea i had a free range chicken breast open sandwich with red caramelised onion's and raclette melted cheese on a toasted ciabatta bread the coffee was nearly a fiver a cup i have never paid five pounds for a coffee before i was intrigued to see how good it would taste so thought i would try a st Helena island coffee which once i had tasted could drink it all the time the beans are grown on a remote South Atlantic island apparently , then for desert be criminal not to i tried the elderflower cake with fresh strawberries and clotted cream Helen had egg mayonnaise sandwich with tea followed by pancakes with meringue with fresh lemon sauce and organic ice cream with summer berries.whilst we was eating a pianist played a upright piano no mobile phones allowed no piped music all fresh ingredients cooked to order and i suppose that is why they charged the prices they do and why its almost always full with queues going out of the door
we walked through the museum gardens near down near by the river caught the last bus back to the park and ride the car parks are all locked down by barriers so we dare not get a taxi late back because we wouldn't of got the car out , on the way back to Leeds went to Acaster Malbis to the Ship Inn had a pint of cider then we drove round to the caravan sites and static homes just to be nosey .
stopped of at Asda bought some thermos flasks to take with us when we are out and about.
Helen tired to colour her own hair which didn't work this was after midnight two o clock we went to bed another late night.
MOVED BACK TO HOLMFIRTH , WE ARE OUT OF THE STATIC HOME , AND ARE NOW MOVED IN AND LIVING IN A NEWLY BUILT TWO BED STONE END TERRACE , WITH GEORGE AND BENTLEY OUR TWO CATS AND PIPPA AND BAILEY OUR TWO DOGS.THIS IS OUR FOREVER HOME I DOUBT THAT WE WILL EVER LEAVE THIS BEAUTIFUL HOUSE IN A GREAT LOCATION WE ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO LIVE HERE FOREVER.
