SUNDAY - My son Guy rang me this morning he had lost his car key trouble was he was staying at his friends house , his house key was in the car a spare car key was in his house , no one was in he needed me to get a key from my daughters house from his mum my ex wife who was with my daughter his sister  .

Trouble was it was half past elven we had a table booked for half past twelve at the Royal Oak at Copmanthorpe not too far from Acaster Malbis with Helen's parents for Sunday lunch .Had the roast beef would have preferred more roast potatoes and mash as well but the food was excellent for desert had the sticky toffee pudding and pouring cream .

Had lunch and desert finished for two o clock before leaving to sort my son out picked him up then went to his house so he could get his spare car key I had a coffee whilst he had a shower and put a pizza in the oven  than collected his car using the spare key which was parked at his friends house from there we took both cars and went to the the Vue picture house at Clifton Moor  to see Tom Cruise in the latest Mission Impossible film  "Fallout" good film totally enjoyed it at the Vue the cost to watch a film is only £4.99 really good value  .

MONDAY - Another week of doing six two took out travel insurance for the two of us over a hundred pounds but at least we are covered .

TUESDAY - Took Bailey to the Spa a dog grooming parlour for his first cut did a fantastic job he was well behaved which was unbelievable but good .He came out looking all cute and smelling like a tarts bedroom .I truly think he liked the experience of getting pampered .

THE OLD BOILER AS GONE

Went to Helen's parents static home at Acaster Malbis it is a lot more up market than our van and were we live , but saying that we are not slumming it and they don't have the amount of outdoor space that we have it is like a mini suburbia .We had our dinner there fresh chicken breast with roasted veg including butter squash , sweet pots and red peppers which was really nice , for desert we had a Victoria sponge with cream and strawberries .

We drove down to a campsite that is on the river Ouse and watched the boats and other pond life float by , from there we went to the Ship Inn for a pint of cider the boat sails from there in to the centre of York takes about fifty minutes will have to do it .

TUESDAY - Had a new combo boiler fitted we can control it using a app on our phone plus it as a magnetic filter on it to keep it running better and less contaminants to cause system failure .Turn the tap the hot water is constant don't have to run it till it gets warm . It was moved into the toilet which in turn will warm the toilet room up in winter another bonus .

RINGS AND HEARTS

Thursday - Washed and waxed the car its amazing how dirty it gets driving on the motorway in the dry weather it is a good for a couple of days before the paintwork looks dull at the most it will need a wash .

Might have another couple of weeks doing the 6- 2 shift I do hope so would be very beneficial to my bank balance if I could .More or less nailed on I will .

Got Helen bushels of wheat so she could make a wheat reef using a metal ring frame  it is amazing how much you need for  one medium sized ring .The trouble is she posted it on her face book page now and now everyone wants one .she is also going to make lavender hearts using heart shaped frames , very crafty ,

Have indeed I hope got more 6-2 shifts might even be for longer than another fortnight might be a month will have to wait should get a decent wage end of August get night rate for the month plus back pay from our rise in time for our trip to Ibiza .

CANAL WITH BAILEY

SUNDAY - Went to the canal finally made it took Bailey it was warm walked way too far then of course you have it all to walk back it is a nice stretch of the canal very scenic quite a few on mountain bikes not sure why it really flat.

Went to my daughters house and had an afternoon barbecue a great feast very nice chilling out with a few bottles of cloudy cider listening to some tunes .

MONDAY - Received two cheques from missed sold  PPI one for £414  and the other one for less at  £195 . It is cash I would have not had I do  have fees to pay at 39%  once I have banked the cheques and they have cleared .  I have another three claims waiting for confirmation if PPI was sold , fingers crossed could get another few hundred pounds yet . in time for our holiday to Ibiza later in the year .

Went to Primark bought some swimming Bermuda shorts in a flora blue and white design plus some t-shirts and some trainer socks .

TUESDAY - Hopefully getting a new Ideal smart boiler installed in the van nothing to pay for thirteen months the money we save on fuel will pay a lot towards the cost , plus because we don't need boiler cover we get five years it should be getting installed in the next few weeks , also I will have had two pay rises and the mobile phone contracts will be finished saving more than enough money to pay easily for the cost of the new combi boiler .

Went to Toby Carvery for breakfast we nearly didn't make it fifteen minutes to spare was plenty of food left coffee was low , but it was way too hot inside best to eat up and go .

FRIDAY -First day we have had rain since I cant remember it is only a fine drizzle and won't make any difference to the water  levels in any of the reservoirs  at least the plant and pond life will benefit .
Received a pay out from PPI from Capital one for a grand total 0f £198 there was more interest added on at 8% then the charges that I had paid for the insurance and of course I will also need to pay fees to the company dealing with my claim.

SATURDAY - Washed polished the car using Williams clean and shine , then went to Asda bought some steak mushrooms and  four boxes of ice cream,  lollies two punnets of fresh strawberries and double cream more also bought some Indian kebabs and pot strips and beef burgers and cloudy cider not forgetting the cat and dog food .

Did a full water change on the fish tank , cleaned out the filter put new polishing pads in and some freshly bleached rocks that have been outside in the garden in the sun  for the last two months it will take 24 hours for it to be crystal clear again once the filter is primed it kicks a load of old debris back out in to the water .

Downloaded some reading material from Amazon Prime two Tech magazines T3 and Stuff also a book by Neil Hawkesford "A Foolish Voyage"  . I also downloaded some tunes and some playlists ranging from R.E.M to the Mumford & Sons @ £7.99 a month I am getting my moneys worth also downloaded American Gangster film and Vikings season 1 .

ETON MESS AND FOOTBALL

The weekend is finally here this week as really gone quickly . Deposited the cheque from British Gas £230 it should clear Monday went into Wakefield to my bank Thursday and paid it in which was good because I found out they have a Primark which will be good to stock up on T-shirts for the hols plain white and blue should be ok . Also need some more trainer socks and leather sandals .

The week as been really hot sort of getting used to the heat to be honest I hope it lasts until we go away.

Going to a barbecue tomorrow at my nephews house it is my sisters , his mothers birthday no doubt we will have the England verses Sweden game on not being hopefully to be truthful I think England will be boarding a plane out of Moscow back to the U.K Saturday evening would,nt it be ironic if England played Belgium in the final and won that be crazy after England lost to them 1-0 and Belgium beat Brazil , stranger things have happened in the World Cup would also mean we host the next would cup .

Bought a black touch up pen had a chip on the drivers side windscreen frame which is black manage to blend it in not too bad it is noticeable if you look for it but at least it is all black again , gave it about three coats and built it up to the existing paint level .

SATURDAY - Helen had a reading at mid day she was finished just after one .We went to Asda bought some flowers for my sisters birthday and some cloudy cider to go to my Nephews house for the barbie had the tv in the garden so we could watch England's match against Sweden  via Amazon tv , 2-0 a good result the food was really good too  the deserts excellent Eton mess was as good as the football  I had not had it before as I am not a big lover of meringue but was well nice .

SUNDAY- Went over to my daughters hose Helen had her hair coloured and I had mine cut grade one back and sides least its cooler after leaving my daughters went over to Castleford on way home stopped off in Osett for fish and chips .
