TECH STUFF

Started reading the new biography about Jon Ives if you don't know who he is he is the genius behind the Apples design team he is also originally English .the book is written by Leander Kahney.

The new Coldplay song that is now out titled "midnight"  is excellent price of music  its different sound to other Coldplay songs but i like its a new direction .

A s well as Helix to stet to watch i am also wanting to start to watch Banshee , this is after I finally watch the remaining episodes of breaking bad .

Apparently we might be very getting some snow on its way either tomorrow or on Friday , i am back at work on Monday I do  hope that I don't get snowed in .

have added a plug in to my chrome browser on my Mac book as a result of this  i can now access the USA version of Netflix whilst in my cottage here in the U.K i did have to download Microsoft's silverlight which i did not want to do but i did none the less that  was after i download Hola but the end result being is that  i now can watch "The Walking Dead " other series and access loads more other films that are not available in Blighty at this time.

SECOND DAY OFF

Went back to the moors today it was very windy very cold and our noses wouldn't stop running after a couple of hours we went home , Helen went to bed she was up most of last night sat up in bed filming orbs on her iPhone  it was a right light show you can her me snoring well it was half two in the morning.

Thinking of buying a olloclip lens for my IPhone 4s been looking at different photography blogs of people just using their iPhone as there main camera specially if the new iPhone 6 has a better megapixel camera.

Also i need a bluetooth keyboard and case for my google Nexus 7 i got one a while ago but i made the mistake of getting it to fit the 1st generation not the second generation , the back of the case matches the existing back of the Nexus .

well second day off work another five days off before i return to work is hold be due a pay rise and a wage increment not sure what difference it will make to my wage packet each month hopefully a extra £100 would be nice .
For tea tonight we are having a gammon joint baked in a honey sauce with potato fries cooked in the air fryer with sea salt sprinkled on to them along with freshly made apple pie and custard for desert , a added bonus  i found a bottle of Kopparberg lurking in the back of the fridge bliss.

FLOATER

Well first day off work and it is  a bright morning but with light rain and very little wind .I think it will get brighter as the day and  week goes on.
I think we will go to Hebden Bridge and also Saltaire to visit the David Hockney art gallery.

We went to Dovestone reservoir there was a police cordon there was a body in the water it was a man that had been found we later found out it was not suspicious we saw the body being put on a gurney and talking away by private ambulance .

ART

Saturday
Bought some chocolate chip muffins and a sparkling  bottled water and a Dc comic notepad because it was reduced and I AM  A BIG KID , we also bought some ready made Mexican chicken enchiladas a bottle of sour cream sauce and Guatemala sauce was going to get some green and red jalapenos but didn't settled for a bag of battered onion rings , which when cooked in the oven where exceptional nice so much better than the breaded version .
Late afternoon we decided to go to Sheffield and to  Meadow Hall mainly to look at cheaper smart phones we called in to the Three shop and told the assistant about the dilemma regarding the water damage iPhone and looked at a upgrade to a Apple i-phone 5s in gold  , he could give us a fifty pound off voucher so the early update fee in effect was knocked down to £127.and as we did not  have to pay anything in store it will appear on our next bill it was silly not to i was going to pay around £150 for another phone more than likely a Sony Xperia so it made sense to do it.

Once you have had a iPhone there is really no going back in my opinion .
So i got my iPhone 4s back i was as happy if not happier than Helen was getting her new phone but  when i am due a update i might  get the iPhone six , Helen is happy with her 5s if she prefers the six she will have a eighteen month wait. Even though i backed my phone up somehow i lost all my apps when i restored to my account including Flappy bird.
Went to Castle Gallery whilst we was in Meadow hall we always visit they have paintings by Ronnie Wood from the stones and bob Dylan they are now selling photos of Marilyn Monroe for six hundred ninety nine pounds each they was around eight photos in the collection i was given a A4 size book magazine   with all the photos in i was well chuffed it was a nice gift.

Sunday
chill out day we did visit Staples Helen bought a blank diary insert for her Arc folder , you have to write your own days and dates on the pages.

I  downloaded Marilyn Monroe book "Life in pictures" to read on my Nexus Google , for tea come dinner Helen cooked a mince steak potato and onion pie with Yorkshire puddings and mash , and i made butterscotch Angel delight for desert , Angel delight as been around since i was a child just add milk , whisk put in bowls and into the fridge .

We have first three episodes of Helix to watch to see if we like the series and the Films "Barefoot" , "Twelve years a slave" and "Jamesy Boy".

DEAD TIRED

Last day working nine days chillin roll on two am Saturday morning I am tired I just want home time to come quickly its only half a day out of my life .
Its been over a week that I have had no phone this is the longest period that I have not had a mobile in the last nine years , I took my Nexus tablet but with no Internet connection it is a poor substitute .

Downloaded a few films albums and books I am not reading enough ,  I can't seem to finish books anymore i get half through and don't go back to them.

Helen has had three readings  over the last week and everyone that comes are  recommending her to their friends its slower than Leeds but it is picking up.

The last few days its been sunny on a morning but cold and windy hopefully next week its fine so we can get out .

Helped the portering supervisor put a body back into the mortuary fridge early this morning . The lady had died in resus and her family had wanted to view her body , so she was put into the chapel then returned to the cold after they had left .
, she was born in 1931 you always think about what type of life the deceased person  had , there was around another  twenty bodies waiting to go for burial , stacked up in fridges that hold a stack of  four bodies ,  makes you appreciate life and makes  want to get out there and  do new stuff and experience life fully and hopefully not to waste a minute . I so wish I could travel more go to different continents ,  explore and log each day by diary ,blog and blog that be an experience .

ANOTHER 48 HOURS.

Two more twelve hour shifts then its done for nine whole days , and I can't wait .after doing twelve days on the trot with seven twelve hour shifts and roughly getting six hours sleep a night I am looking forward to time of big style.
Need to get back on the Ps3 , go for sale eat decent food at normal times , catch up on sleep and the weather permitting get out on some walks.
Have a couple of pub lunches and the odd pint.

DISCONNECTED

Monday
Doing my first two while two shift at work at least next Monday i will be off for a week nine days in total .
Cooked myself a full English without mushrooms beans or black pudding still it filled a gap
Need to catch up on Breaking bad series as we still have seasons four and five still to watch . I also need to sort out a new phone i guess either a brand new Nokia Lumia or a Sony  Xperia or a second hand iPhone 4s.

Tuesday.
Knackered and tired roll on Friday or Saturday morning , and not having a phone is not helping it is like being unplugged from the Matrix not gone down the rabbit hole for n the outside of the toy shop looking in, even a cheap smart  phone is better than no phone at all.
My thumb and fingers needs to tap and swipe and face book needs updating i can't surf the web listen to music or  take photos its not just a phone anymore its a life line and  if I have to take notes its a paper and pen how daft is that . Roll on payday

WORKED UP

Was up at six a.m to go to work after about five hours sleep working until have seven tonight doing exactly the same tomorrow too.
Saturday and  Sunday worked so  another weekend wasted.
Still missing my phone suffering bad withdrawal symptoms i can't believe how boring days are I am really lost the worst thing is it might have to last another two weeks without a phone.
Worst thing is next week when I am doing two till two is going to drag and drag , we don't even have wi- fi that  i can hook up to , if there was could take my Nexus 7 in and be happy.
Six days to go then nine days off .
Finished work went to the Fix house for Sunday lunch I had roast pork with potatoes and leeks .

NO ANSWER

Gave Helen my iPhone I restored it to its factory settings then hooked it up to her Mac book iTunes and restored it using her settings .
Its weird not having a phone means i can't check Facebook i have had no missed calls And  no messages to reply to , had no Internet on the go nothing its a big void specially when being away at work not being a phone call away is a strange concept as for the last three and a half  years I have had a iPhone with me day in day out .
In away its a sort freedom but its also putting me in solitary confinement.

DILEMMA

All the ice went so I got to work just fine ,tonight it was the high winds that was coursing concern .
Helena I-phone is still dead it will cost £147 for a early upgrade which is not due for another seven months .
She can get a I-phone 5s for £46 a month with 2000 minutes 2000 texts and free calls to same network plus all you can eat data .
When we are due a upgrade IPhone 6 will be released that's Helen's dilemma should she wait just get a cheap phone to put her on or get the 5s.
Need to go book my driving awareness course very soon.

SNOW N ICE

Well the snow as truly arrived on the moors we had to turn around and head back home , the Nissan is not that good in the snow , in fact its utter crap I should have kept the Freelander 4×4 , it is the ice that's the stumbling block when your wheels spin and you are sliding sidewards and back words at the same time and  your just waiting for the sound of crunching metal you know your pissing in the wind ,so to say , you have to park up and walk lucky enough I was only 50 yards from the cottage .

A nice lamb Rogan Josh with chips rice and nan breads a bottle of pear cider and who gives a monkey what its doing outside , not I.

Helen,s i-phone 4s ended up in the dogs water bowl not Looking good at the moment its in a Tupperware tub on a bed of rice on top of the fire hoping and praying that it drys out only  time will tell if it wasn't for bad luck , we would not have any .

If the ice does not melt it is going to mean that I can't drive the car and if I can't drive the car then  I can't go to work , not sure how I stand about working the weekend if I miss a day through the week another dilemma why is life so difficult and trying roll on summer hose pipe pans dried out reservoirs and prickly heat be a breeze.

IN A FlAP

Trying to get my head around the fact that I will be working 12 days without a day off I might feel better when I am on day eleven I have half of them to do in twelve hour shifts two in the afternoon until two in the morning.
I will need coffee and chocolate my Nexus and phone to keep me on the go and in the loop not round the bend its going to crack me up , roll on payday , when hopefully it will have been worth while.
Another option would to be to sell my iPhone with Flappy Bird on EBay for £50 thousand if only , anyone interested let us know if only.

MORE RAIN

Have been excepted for the speed awareness course so it will at least save me three points on my licence which as got to be a major plus it will keep me at zero points which makes sense in doing the days course.

Its been raining all night and the rain still comes down its grey and cold and windy every year we seem to get more floods and more loss of land houses and lives , why can't the name the rivers deeper and wider or have more reservoirs , at the moment places and villages down south are one big lake.

Took Pip out we both  got soaked , once at  home decided to have a chill out day after we had been shopping for breakfast we bought  hash browns 15 eggs and two packets of  bacon skinless pork sausages and tomatoes on the vine six large tins of  baked beans i also got 12  pitta breads 6 battered fish , Mexican burgers and cheese along with Swedish meat balls and frozen chips that's the diet sorted out until payday .

Flappy Bird on iPhone  i have  now reached 24  as they say what practice makes.

DOESN'T EVER LAST LONG

Dropped Helen. Of at the hairdressers this morning at half past nine she  is having her extensions and her hair re coloured . I don't start work until two in the afternoon so I have a few hours to kill.

I walked Pip up the canal and back at Rodley then I called in to Morrison's and got two hand made pork pies and a chicken ham and leek for Helen , after she is finished at the salon she is going to her parents house , if she is finished before I have to make my way to work I will pick her up and drop her off if not I will just drop Pip off.

Sold my old laptop it was a Dell got £95 for it I removed everything off it as it was taking ages to boot I also wiped all the free space on the drive , I kept the carry  case i bought for it .
I am working next weekend then the week after doing five 12 hours shifts so I have to make the most of tomorrow until I break up on the 24th of February its work , work and work.

HIGHWAY ROBBERY

Saturday
Went over to Uppermill Saddleworth for a haircut paid £11.00 and it turned out ok i would go back in the future . they used hair putty instead of gel might swap.

Early evening we went over to a 40th birthday party at the Royal pub in Pudsey , seeing i was driving i was limited to one pint of cider then i had a glass of coke don't exactly put you in the party mood we stayed until ten , the buffet they has was extremely good and there was hot food as well as cold.

Sunday
Went to Leeds on the way we stopped at Lockwood Scar cafe Helen had a cooked breakfast i has steak Canadian onion and freed egg sandwich .
We was going to CEX computer and gadget exchange shop .Helen wanted to sell her Mac Book pro and Apple wireless mouse she got offered £16 for the mouse and £427 for the Mac book they had two  in stock out on the shelves the very same spec they was selling them for £720 that's nearly a £300 profit for greedy bastards or what , needless to say Dick Turpin wore a mask  so we went back home with both Apple products.

Took Pip out for a walk by the canal it was fine but cold , on the way home we got fish and chips and a curry sauce took them back home to eat .
