it took all day I also fitted the gravel boards , they also got creosoted concrete is porous they look ok dark brown they blend in .Our god friend Erin came and helped .
After we finished we walked the two minutes to our local the George and Dragon for burgers and cider .

SUNDAY
The fence is now all done and finished off yippee  ,  all of the fence posts I have now cut down trimmed the tops off and put the wooden post capping pieces on top . I also made a custom feathered board panel for the end of the fence which I creosoted and fixed that in it's place. Job done.

The new UV light for the out door fish tank is now working and hopefully will keep the water clear it has been a nightmare from day one we got a refund from the first supplier .

Went shopping when I finished had to get cheese and ham I also got more cider and pork pies a scotch egg and a summer berry trifle .

DONT FENCE ME IN

Went over to my daughters house at Allerton Bywater last night we found a better way of driving over there which involves not having to use the motorway and it is just as quick .
She cooked us a really nice  tea it seems like it was only yesterday that  I was at her birth ,  how the years fly by .She is totally independent and a great mother JOB DONE .

Finally managed to install Kodi and the add ons Exodus , Salts and Phoenix  on my daughters fire stick it took me a while the install Arm on the download link on Es File Explorer for Kodi was not loading even though I was following the installation method word for word ,but  they never mentioned that you  had to click the more option in the bottom right hand corner and to  click the option of open in browser to run the download but once i did that it installed the latest version of  Kodi.

Bought some dark brown creosote and three four inch paint brushes to do the fence panels hopefully the weather is better than what it has been for the last couple of days .

FRIDAY
The fence is erected all the post are well in and fixed with a couple of bags of post fix solid thanks to our good friend Charlie .All i have to do is fix three gravel boards , cut the post to size fit the end caps and creosote the panels and on small section to board out using feather edge boards , and jobs a good one.

Helen's phone contract is run its course and instead of paying a whopping £50 a month it has dropped to under £12 a month which is a  massive saving and no more dreaded two year contract .
Mine is up at the end of July i was speaking with the operative from my phone provider and he was telling me about free roaming charges Great i side i be more than happy being able to use my phone in this country never mind abroad.

UP ON THE ROOF

Second day off helped my friend across the road rip his plastic garage roof off we are or he is replacing it will corrugated aluminum which will hopefully make it hard for moss to grow .
We have to make a couple of eight foot roof trusses and level the ridge through before fitting the corrugated sheeting .
It will take a few days to get it sorted and to get all the sheets replace some are asbestos which is fine until you need to remove it and dump it. One good thing he has every tool you need including power tools , from drills rip saws to compound mitre saws and angel grinders .

Went to Asda food shopping got pizzas and breakfast goodies I also got a couple of bottles of cloudy apple cider it was on offer.

PANELS AND PONDS

The headphones that i recently bought from Ebay the headband is not a round shape  its  hoped more for a Frankenstein's monster head they are more oblong than round guess they will do until I can get some better ones , although the sound quality is ok .

The uv light we got for the outside pond filter has blown the bulb  , as water as leaked into the unit and it has totally ruined the light fitting  , we phoned the supplier and they told us to package it and send it back  it back.Once they get it than  hopefully we are getting a full refund .

We have ordered another light from a different supplier and in the process  found a seller that sells the uv quartz glass for £16.99 should we ever need a replacement  one . Hopefully we the new fitting is coming Wednesday .Until then we will need to re clean the filter .

Went back to the supplier that we ordered our fence panels etc from  , and down sized from  a five foot high panel to a four foot high panel .

Off all week the sun as been out for some of the day Helen is going to do her stand up tonight she is nervous i am staying with her on the way back home we need shopping .

Yesterday I tried on a Firetrap XL black leather jacket it looked ok opened it was tight when zipped up  I need to loose weight which for me is easier said than done .

GOOD DAYS

One more day at work then a week of annual leave i was only going to take  Wednesday  , Thursday and Friday , but i have to take Helen somewhere Monday and it seemed pointless not having the full week off.

I have downloaded Kodi to my Macbook and after downloading Fusion I added Exodus , Salts and Phoenix which seeing as I am not somedays very  I.T illiterate was pretty chuffed at my efforts I did find idiot guides on the internet which I took full advantage of  , me being a idiot .

The outside fish tank is doing well and all the fish have nearly survived a week so all is looking good.
Hopefully next weekend we will start and do the fence it should only take two days tops .

After the fence is done and creosoted then we do need to get more solar lighting orbs and sting lights then there is some patio work and a massive clear out of all the garden waste that as been thrown behind the shed a skip will have to be ordered but once it is all gone it will free up space and make for a neater looking garden.

SATURDAY
Went to pay for the fence panels x9 ,  wooden posts x 10  and 3x precast concrete gravel boards which for this little lot is well over £550 and hopefully they are all getting delivered next Friday morning so fingers crossed next weekend will be sunny warm and  fine and we can get them installed.

Went to the Wetherby Whaler after going to the filling station. We did not eat in the restaurant  this time we both got a fish and a bread cake and ate in the car just as nice .
On the way home went to the supermarket picked up some cat food bread coffee and soft cheese plus chocolate eclairs and macaroon cakes .

Helen's son Liam and his girlfriend Nicole stayed over , so we went back to the George and Dragon with them  and we all ordered freshly cooked  burgers and mozzarella cheese sticks  I had the Mexican and i had couple of pints of cloudy apple cider on draught which tasted as good as the first time that I had it.

SUNDAY
All of us went for breakfast to the Thorncliffe farm shop  at Emley moor  , we sat outside it is very popular place to eat all the produce is locally sourced ,  snd on a weekend even more so . Both Helen and me had the full Monty that is two eggs , two sausages , two bacon , baked beans , tomatoes , mushrooms toast and of course the dreaded black pudding  Liam and Nicole  , both are rake like they just had a sandwich the food is always good and it was nice sitting out even if it was slightly windy .
Thats three meals out this weekend suppose it saves on cooking .
Went to the Trinity centre Helen bought some shampoo and conditioner and teeth whitener and  I got a bottle of  mouthwash.

I have all next week off work it was only going to be the last three days of the week working Monday and Tuesday but i had to take Monday off so i could take Helen to a psychic event that she is doing the night and it seemed pointless going to work just on the Tuesday.

DOG FISH

I am off work until at least Wednesday tomorrow which will make a short week so who cares .Ate lunch what we bought from the farm shop ham sandwiches pork pies and potato salad tonight we dine on freshly farm made 100% beef burgers in freshly baked bread cakes and leaf salad with white onion and horseradish sauce .

We now have four new  fish in the outside aquarium , two are golden yellow and two are bright  orange Pip our Jack Russell is already doing fish watch , the cats don't seem that interested ,
Ken over the road from us lost one of his smaller fish to a heron that landed on the side of his pond this morning at arounds half five he has quite a few koi carp there size suggests they are worth a few hundred pounds each expensive tit bit for the heron be cheaper leaving it a fresh salmon .

We lost BBC1 and BBC2 channels last year not sure why or what had happened someone tried to sort it out when we had picture flicker and after they left ( i was at work ) these two channels had disappeared well today I got them both back not that i missed them but anyway we have them back.

My coughing through the night improved , last night it was the first night that I did not wake up in a coughing fit .

TRUNKS

Headphones Philips blue tooth SHB3165 are not that bad they sync easy enough and charge quickly and for the price are really  good the base is alright and the sound quite crisp all in all they are good enough and a lot better then average and intern well worth the twenty quid  that I shelled out  for them. Only thing i don't like is the head band could do with being more rounded and there is no 3mm jack to turn them into wired ones .

The log end is taking some drilling out and I reckon I have burnt my drill out I put it down when it was getting hot maybe  a little too hot it was  smoking although it was still spinning the chuck , but  when i picked it back up to re use  it was  dead totally lifeless Helen could have done a reading for it totally  motionless not even a spark , I changed the fuse but still no joy reckon  still dead  reckon it is done for .
Until my good friend lent me his electric chain saw which made it a piece of cake , took it out in no time after I had sliced it length ways  and across the width as soon as you realised the start but it stopped the chain dead so no lost legs to main arteries cut through then  I just chiseled it out with a one and a half inch chisel ,  easy peasy they both look decent but will look better when the trunks have aged and weathered  be better and the plants are more  established .

It was another red hot day just the right weather for a pear cider i finished off the bottle the fridge is baron, the one thing worse then finding no milk when i open the fridge is no pear cider oh well one out of two ain't bad .

Still cant believe that Prince is dead extremely unhappy life is so fragile amount of new stories about him surfacing it always amazes me why did people wait until someone dies  to realise what a great one off genius they are .

FRIDAY
No work I rang in sick i am coughing phlegm up i have a sore throat and it totally messed my sleep up so i thought I would ring in the start to the day was looking grey , so nobody could think i was having  sly one of because it was hot , but GUESS WHAT by ten the day had got hotter and sunnier oh well people will always think what they want regardless.

SATURDAY
Woke again coughing a load of  phlegm which in turn is making me want to throw up will i guess  be fit enough to go back to work on Monday I do hope so.

SUNDAY
SLEPT WORSE than last night was up early i was only asleep for an hour and half when i was up again nothing worse than a tickle cough i think it will be Tuesday before i go back to work why be a hero .not only that my weekend as been ruined .

DON'T HANDLE WITH CARE THEN

MONDAY
Red hot it was scorching the sun was going for all it was worth what a glorious day .
Even went to the logging mill and bought two logs I will drill and chisel them out so we have two natural planters they only cost five  pounds for the two of them a proper bargain.

Our good friend Ken he lives  in the van over the road to us gave us a Blagdon fish tank for the outside it holds 75 gallons of water and as a fountain and waterfall which gives a great sound of running water all we need to get is an ultra violet bulb which prevents alga and green stuff building up .He even put down the flags down all level for the tank to sit on whilst i was at work .

TUESDAY
I started drilling out one of the logs it was not long before the drill was smoking i have done about a third and it is looking good .
Went to get the ultra violet light from the aquatic part of the garden centre we also bought some tap safe the club cost us a fiver .

Got home I was  looking at the lead and power brick for the light when the protective glass for the bulb that screws into the light fitting that fits into the pump which is totally submerged in the tank rolled of and broke .I cant buy a new glass you have to buy the whole light which retail on Ebay for £40 , we will get a blue so its costing use £35 pound still a margin shit happens. The irony is Ken had already broke one glass but he had a spare which I then broke should either sell replacement glass or make them out of plastic.

Got my headphones will have to charge them and hear what they sound like hopefully well worth the £20 I spent on them.

NOT WIRED FOR SOUND

Pet hate getting up making a coffee and opening the fridge to remember I was suppose to get some milk on the way home last night .

My phone contract ends around August I will cancel it and will not be tied into a contract again you end up paying way too much money over two years I have paid well over £1350 it is ridiculous .

SATURDAY
Went to the garden centre bought more plants for the troughs and other planters we spent around thirty pounds I was going to buy six solar orbs they were priced up at three for £10.00 when we went to the checkout  o pay up , they came up at £3.99 so I refused to buy them .

Bought some beef burgers and chicken legs from the farm shop also got a two litre bottle of pear cider a cheaper brand than my usual Kopparberg we got home and washed and scrubbed the  barbecue down before I got chance to light it the rain began to come down.

SUNDAY
Looks like the sun could get out later , I was up just after eight o clock and it was quite cold by ten the sun was trying to put in an appearance . Checked my  Ebay  i was just about to win a pair of Phillips bluetooth head phones reckon that I have saved nearly £20 on what they would have cost if i had bought them in the high street.

SUNNIER DAYS TO COME.

Woke unto day and i thought it was Saturday what a bummer don't you just hate it when that happens.

The sun is here and it is going to last through the weekend which means lounging about outside eating al fresco might even ignite the barbecue but even if the food is cooked in the oven its just as good .Some CLOWN up the street had a similar idea and decided to  light his  chiminea  and in the process  nearly burnt his van down. He had it set fire to the roof of his lean to , when he had left it unattended a spark  just have jumped and  ignited the timber roof frames and it very nearly burnt it all to the ground.  Luckily someone spotted the flames and informed them otherwise the whole place would have been a giant barbecue .

The gay person who works with us in the office has had botox that cost him well over £250 it is the second time he has had it done cant see any difference from before to after , a waste of money and time if you ask me why take the risk of injection poison into your face .

Put £350 away until the end of the month hopefully towards the cost of the fence we need erecting on the right hand side between us and the gay couple  ho live next door , not that I don't like them their dogs constantly bark , hopefully when i get paid the first weekend it will go up .They have had a delivery of a load of planks of wood why i am not sure it looks like they have been pallets that have been disassembled hope they not planing on a fence as they are aware we are putting one up.

Helen is on about getting a regular job where her friend works ,a steady regular income would be good .
If the weather stays hot over the weekend i need cider .

1485

Last night our good friend Charlie came over to measure up the fence we want erecting on the right hand side of our van it is 60 feet long , and we want it five feet high .It is mainly to stop the next vans dogs seeing our cats they have a lassie collie dog and two sausage dogs if we put the fence it should stop them barking if the cat see our garden area , it will cost a good £500 for materials posts ,  panels and gravel boards , as well as post fix concrete .

We all then went to the George and Dragon pub including our other good friend Erin , the Pub was  built 1485 and king Henry the V11 use to visit the pub for refreshments on his way up to the Dales. I had cloudy apple cider for the first time and to be honest i liked it , it is not as gassy as regular cider but just as refreshing. We also ordered food I went for the Mexican burger well done it was ok quite filling but not that hot which was a bit of a let down , Helen and the American she did nit eat it all ,  it is the first time we have been in the pub since we moved last June so regulars where not , might be a few weeks or months until we go again but it was ok .

Someone asked me if I could bring one person back from the dead David Bowie or Prince who would I choose without a doubt I said that I would resurrect  Prince , and to perfectly  honest  it would not even be that much of a  hard decision although I do like Bowie there was no one quite like Prince.

ITS MAY ALREADY
This year is going way too fast , it's scary how time flies by the older you get I really want a year to feel like a year and not feel like six months.

My Friend at work who collapsed after suffering a stroke is now suffering from blood clots on his lungs which if move could kill him so it's not looking good hopefully things will improve for him .

Helen was offered  an original  photograph in black and whiteouts be 600 x 1800  the subject an old night dress done buy Jonathan who lived on our street in Holmfirth originally he wanted £400 , that was a few years ago his wife was throwing it into the rubbish and texted Helen saying if the could pick it up it was hers.

APPRECIATED

TUESDAY - Helen bought me some Adidas white with blue strip trainers love getting new shoes cant wear new jeans with old trainers . I also ...
