BEING BORING

Happy Easter Sunday -  I have had one chocolate egg today , but for Easter tea we are having the finest steak with breaded garlic mushrooms fries and  battered onion rings I have bought a jar of farm made horseradish sauce .
I won a cherry red Filofax on eBay I am not sure why red but it looks brand new I am waiting for a few things being delivered they should start coming next week fingers crossed .

Need to catch up on some films i have yet to watch  "Stealing Cars", "Identical's" and "Go Get A Job".

It is upsetting to hear about the British fighter Nick Blackwell who's fight against Chris Eubank jr who is also British . His father Chris told him stepped in to the ring to advise his son to stop hitting him to the head and finish him using hits to the body , Why Nicks own corner did not stop the fight i have no idea .
The referee  finally stopped the fight  in the tenth round after advice from the ring side doctor and Nick was then stretchered out of the ring and  took to hospital where the doctors surgeons  decided to put him in to an induced coma  , due to bleeding on his brain ,  I really do hope he pulls through , His father also had similar issues with his fight against Michael Watson who's career was stopped due to his injuries . So very sad and highly upsetting.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY - Another storm we have had enough wet weather to compensate i hope we get a really long hot summer we deserve it .
I went to work it was boring loads of people off and it was quite and it drag i was glad when ten o clock came round and i could fuck off home . Listening to the  different versions of the Pet Shop Boys Being Boring

TRIM YOUR BUSH

FRIDAY - I would really like one to these wallets they are quite expensive but i reckon unless you lose it will last you a lifetime http://www.fusionwallets.com

Today it is a bank holiday Good Friday i am working it is very sunny and cool it is a glorious day i will not have a busy day and tomorrow its good old Saturday life is good .

I bought some more Sharpie pens for Helen in pinks , turquoise and purples i also bought her some blank cd's and clear plastic wallets . I bought two metal Kingston 3.0 16gb usb flash drives and a Pilot disposable fountain pen for myself .

SATURDAY - Drove over to the  garden centre at Tong  and we bought three black metal obelisks for the garden one of them  had a basket at the base so plants and flowers can be planted ,  I spent a total of £85 on metal work I also spent £30 on tomato plants and a round box hedge that is trimmed in to a ball be fun keeping the bush trimmed  gardening is a very expensive hobby .
Had meatball pizza for tea washed down with a nice ice and pear Kopparberg cider the wind is howling and the rain is lashing down not nice for a bank holiday weekend Easter tomorrow back at work Monday.

MACBOOK WOES

Back at work i will also be working good Friday and bank holiday Monday double time and days off in lieu plus parking will be easy which is always a big bonus.Watch the weather be blistering hot whilst i am stuck at work.

Downloaded El Capitan on Helen's mac book it totally fucked it up the download must have been corrupted some how and  it would not install itself , neither would it load Yosemite so  i had to reboot using cmd + r to get in to disk utility i and to copy a ghost image of Helen's mac book hard drive  then i had to use the hard drive with the saved image and reinstall it using it as the  image to the destination of the mac book pros hard drive a pain it did it but it meant losing all the stuff i had saved on my external h/d i did try to do a Internet back up using cmd alt and r keys it wanted to install mountain lion which was the o/s before Mavericks but because a newer o/s was installed would not let me do it , all in all a pain in the arse but had no choice if Helen wanted to keep all her files and work she had stored , her laptop was never backed up using Time Machine , this was done with the help of Apple support and over 24 hours but got there in the end .

Got a wage increment at work which I was not expecting until Aprils pay cheque so that was a nice surprise be even better when may tax changes in April and we get a 1% wage rise which is piss poor .

Working both bank holidays this good Friday and the following bank holiday Monday two days easy parking hopefully no managers around and double time .

James ' Girl At The End Of The World  ' knocked Adele of the number one spot in the U.k album charts Tim Booth has one great voice .

LOTS OF SENSE

Ultravox , Sting , Terence Trent Darby , Spandau Ballet , Soft Cell , Erasure , Culture Club , Fine Young Cannibals , and Simply Red are a few of the cd's i used own in fact they were on cassette tapes and not on cd discs at all . Had a Akai tape deck and a matching Akai  amp and equalizer combo and a massive pair of stereo speakers it was a cool set up and cost me the best part of a £1000 which at the time was a good months wages. I also had a really great pair of cans i cant remember the make but they were  a reasonable quality .

Having no Internet back in the day i listened to a lot more music in house than i do now and i use to spend more on buying the  latest releases depending on how much over time i did and what spare cash i had , we did use to copy tapes using a double tape deck pirating still went on back in the day.

The new smaller  iPad pro with quad speakers and 256gb of storage would be a nice investment the biggest iPod classic 160 gb storage has finally been blown out of the water for a mobile portable device how many films books and albums could you load up would be an amazing feat.
Tech is getting cheaper and better each year that passes the Apple SE phone makes a lot of sense once you get your head around it , especially with the current  trade in deals Apple are offering you are getting the same spec as a 6s for a lot less cash so anyone who currently owns a iPhone 5s , like me , well it makes a lot of sense .

CLEAR UP

Moved the garden boarder at the front of the van by another couple of feet , which is a  good idea because the grass w head sown last year had not really took there that well and was very baron and patchy . i removed more stones we will need soils but it should improve the growing quality , i hate gardening , i like flowers and plants i don't mind watering them either , it is all the hassle of maintenance.

I also removed  the rest of the dead leaves left over from Autumn using the garden vac including all of the ones under the decking .
Helen has planted up loads of pots with  seeds wand bulbs which should be good in a few months time and has reseeded the patches of lawn which are still bare hopefully this time it will take .

We need to hire a skip and have a massive clear out of garden waste and rubble which we piled up last summer it is hidden by the out building and needs dumping a decent size skip will be a hundred quid plus .

Well tomorrow is Friday my last day of leave i have the weekend then its back to the grind this week went too fast.

Fixed another two brackets for hanging baskets on the out building wall opposite ends , we also have four new half baskets screwed to the wall which are either side of the door and windows and there is a larger window basket underneath the main window , be nice when they flower .

SILLY PUSSY

George our ginger tom cat got stuck up the oak tree , that  i fixed the bird boxes to a few days ago , we guess that he decided to chase a squirrel up which was the easy bit  he ended up around thirty  foot up the tree unable to get back down .

i strapped two sets of aluminium ladders together and rested them again the trunk of the tree and rested them on top of a green wheelie bin , he wouldn't come down even though the ladders was near enough to him .We even tried to hose him down with water from the water pipe to entice him down the ladders that did not work either in fact he climbed further up.

I saw a van drive into the cup de sac behind us with a triple extending ladder i called round the gentleman agreed to help us out and drove the ladders round he put them up he even climbed up them and with the help from a broom got George to exit  the tree he hit a branch on the way down he tried to hang on but dropped then hit the top of the fence and  bounced off and finally landed on the soil paws first he rang off he came bace ten minutes later it appeared that he was fine .The man with the van ,  i dropped him and his girlfriend off at the pub in Denby Dale  believe it or not  it was his birthday .

My two cats George and Minnie

Going to watch both of the Point Break films the newest one and the older one to see if it is as good as the original with Patrick Swayze which released in 1991 .

GORILLA ON THE ROOF

I need to get on to the roof of our van to do an essential repair the gas boiler flue is leaking from the roof seal  I am guessing that  it needs the aluminium tape that needs replacing , to make it water tight again  I will also get some sealant just in case.

I put the ladder up and took a roll of Gorilla tape up on to the roof the roof is solid sheet metal moulded to look like tiles it is very rigid and smile the Gorilla tape is water proof heat proof and highly sticky i taped it , and over taped it and over taped it again ,  I will see how it goes .

It was snowing today quite heavy and it was laying  just when we think you are out of the woods , it didn't stop until around half past eleven ,Then it started to rain  and the threat of more snow was always looming but it never happened , and the main roads were  soon clear , in-fact by the time i was going to work most of the snow was already disappearing fast  .

I have a full week off I work the rest of this week and next week then I have the following week off yippee lets be honest we all work for time off and money .

My Grandson is a year old this Sunday it is amazing how quick twelve months has been and gone I have no idea what to get a one year old baby I will have to Google it .

LEAP YEAR

Well, we have the ingredients for another Chinese sir fry this time we are using chicken fillets Helen is in bed it is quarter to seven in the evening we went out came home we had sandwiches beef and ham and egg mayo had a drink and off she popped to bed with George the cat and Pip the dog , I am left to my own devices .

My lead for my book arrived so i tried it out it is made in China it cost me only £18.99 and is excellent it is like a laptop lead brick and power lead that separate it charges my Mac book up fine it is slightly slower than the Apple lead but works great.

Finally Helen got up we did not cook our Chinese dish i had mini kebabs onion bhajees and popadoms.

SUNDAY
Vac washed and waxed the car it has been a while since I cleaned her black always shines up well it took me a good couple of hours which was hour more than i wanted to spend doing it but at least the sun was out .

MONDAY.

Its leap year and Helen did not propose to me , so she blew it for another four years. She missed the boat yet again , hehe I am only joking we are happy as we are for now.

Went for a test drive in a Citroen C1 1.2 it was ok greta drive quite nippy all in all it was good the fold back roof was emitting some noise but all in all i was impressed , we are hoping to order a 1.0 automatic in white if we can organise the fiancee we will see over the next few days if it a goer or not .
I want to keep our Suzuki swift for myself rather than financing another car which makes sense and Helen will use the C1 once she has passed her test both threat and practical. She will start taking lessons again asp .
I use to have and drive a brand new Citroen C2  , a certain Ex wife took it in the divorce proceedings haha.

At work I helped move the premature babies back to the Neo natal ward ,  there was a break down in power supply over the weekend caused by water leakage which blow out the mains supply which affected the power to the ward . Yesterday afternoon it was fixed and the power was back up and running so we moved them all back with all the equipment which was attached to them keeping them alive , it was a nice afternoon seeing all the tiniest infants  of all races beating all the odds and surviving makes you wonder why as adults all we want to do is go to war and destroy life it don't make sense.

APPRECIATED

TUESDAY - Helen bought me some Adidas white with blue strip trainers love getting new shoes cant wear new jeans with old trainers . I also ...
