STRINES NO STRAIN

Saturday
Spent a bomb on groceries and food as  i bought three jars of my favourite coffee Alta Rica and ice cream , strawberries and various other. meats and cheeses , pastas and pizza and different type of rice's plus food for the dog she only eats cat food and dog biscuits she won't eat dog food she is happy.

Also bought a ream of white A4 printing paper along with colour and black ink cartridges for the kodak printer we have had since the other house but never set up .
Helen needs information sheets printing out for her teachings that she does , whilst in Pc World we saw a really nice Bose sound touch 39 wireless speaker the sound quality was excellent the price was not as it was £599 .

I also bought a new Lamy white safari fountain pen for work it was cheaper than what i could get off Ebay as well , on Ebay i bought a black credit card wallet i have got use to using a iPhone 4s case minus the holder for the phone which i took of it takes far less room up i my pocket and carries all i need.

Sunday
Went to Strines  Inn for a late Sunday dinner the original building was  built in 1275 and converted to a inn in the 1700's in its grounds they have peacocks which are electric blues and greens and the  hens  are brown they were walking around the tables in the car park they also jumped up and half flew up in to the branches of near by trees to sit  , there was two perched on one branch their tails feathers hanging down.
The food was ok nothing great but it was reasonably priced we went with Charlie a nieghbough on our lane.

THREE DAYS DOWN

Monday morning i have one painful banging headache i have had a shower and a coffee and i feel shite , but at least another five days and i will be on a two week break from work and i can't wait .

Its now Tuesday and i am looking forward to Wednesday then its payday Thursday night Friday morning then its more or less Friday which equates to breaking up and no more work for 16 whole days fcuking bliss.

Wednesday
Woke up this morning and the first thing i saw was how sunny and summery the day looked the second thing on my mind was a Starbuck's strawberry frappuccino brain chill guaranteed , then of course  i thought of payday and days off  , of the coast the seaside resorts and ice cream and fish and chips.

Helen had her first reading of this week last night and a lady is wanting a Skype reading hopefully in the next couple of days

Listening to "Mike And The Mechanics" and "The Temper Trap" .

JUST WISH

Saturday

Boring day totally waste of time did nothing and i mean nothing did watch  "3 days to kill " with Kevin Costner and also watched  "Non -Stop " with Liam Neeson ". Did finally get out for a walk for an hour so just before dusk it was over cast at least we did venture out and we was not in  the cottage for all of the  day.

My hay fever returned with a vengeance eyes nose streaming sneezing and blowing my nose constantly which is bloody annoying to say the least as well as sore ,  i really need to get a Beconase nasal spry and some Piriton tablets which will sort it.

Sunday
Another sunny hot day really need payday to arrive i am craving certain items mainly food like fried chicken pieces , Indian curries and more fresh fish and rice plus some vanilla syrup to go in my favourite coffee i also need  brown sugar along with a few packets of Mexican burgers and fries.

FEW OTHER ITEMS ON MY LIST

Camera not a need its an essential item either that or i need to invest in a new iPhone six when it comes out specially if it as the camera upgrade i might not need to buy a separate camera which will be a saving also if i get the 64gb it will mean more room for music and films.

New fountains pen i dropped my clear plastic Lamy safari getting out of the car unbeknown to me and i stood on it cracking the top to the pen..

Another Apple TV they have lowered the price i think because a new model is coming out .

Another tablet this time i think it will have to be a I-pad mini with retina display no more Google Nexus Apple it is.

if i get the apple phone and iPad i will need cases too and a case for my Mac book as well .

I need new Jack Jones or Bench  jeans as i seem to be wearing the same two pairs all the time i need faded jeans and some new Crocs maybe in a lighter colour for summer.

I have lost my Fossil watch or it has been lifted from the house , as  i have not lost it whilst out and about its either in the cottage fallen down or behind something or in the back of a drawer or it as been stolen , i don't wear it all the time but it cost nearly £200 and i can not find it which is annoying because of the mystery surrounding it , i which i had lost it then i wouldn't be scratching my head thinking where is it thing is i don't really need a wrist watch as i always have my mobile with me seems pointless spending cash on a watch.

Helen had two readings tonight and over the weekend has watched a You tube clip on cosmic ordering  she has penned her list of what she wants the reasoning behind cosmic ordering is this , if you want it and ask enough or believe enough that you will get what you wish for sounds good to me.

Watching - "Raid 2"

Listening to - Ed Sheeran "X".

FRIDAY NIGHT SATURDAY MORNING

Friday night Saturday morning i am not sure what the weekend will bring but i think we are guaranteed plant hours of sunshine over the next few days but being once again totally our man Flint does not help.

This time next week i will be breaking up for the start of a two week break from work plus i will have been paid so chin up , i won't say holiday because jetting of we are not one reason being that my passport is out of date.

I have had letters this week  from my solicitor regarding compensation for my accident  that occurred in March gone , and the offer is that i will get no less than £3900 and no more than £4650 if it goes fifty fifty it be half payment the insurance solicitors will decide as far as i know what they agree goes , i also signed the papers for court action but i can't see it going that far .

I might buy a Indian cook book and learn how to do a proper Ruby Murray or download one ,  i did have the Madhur Jaffrey cook book years ago in the 1980's but never got round to buying the ingredients , as far as i can remember  it was a instant best seller every Tom , Dick or Harry had one in their kitchen or book shelf .

ITS ALL GOOD FOR NOW.

Boring week so far , today as been really hot the weather recently has not been that great but today it has been too hot .Work is one gigantic sweat box why it needs to be so hot is beyond me , some of the corridors the heating is still on ,  its June for God sake its unbelievable hot  .

Helen has had more readings this week and another Skype reading which has been good personally i can't wait for two things payday next Thursday and two weeks off work.

If the weather stays hot we will be buying a barbecue bucket and loads of kebabs and meat on sticks and skewers along with ice bags and pear cider .

I also want to go to the coast its been too long since i have seen the sea hopefully we will get there whilst i am off.

Two days until the weekend its only Wednesday and i have already had enough , we have had an offer of a house to rent but it has come at the wrong time , Helen's compensation hopefully is in the final stages of being settled and might happen with in the next two weeks or so but that is just a guess.
My medical report has now been sent to the solicitors from the specialist that  i went to see last week hopefully i will get a settlement figure within the next fortnight but again it's guess work on my part.

Anyway life has been ok and should get better in the coming months fingers crossed , i might even get to see my daughter again on Saturday afternoon which will be well good i wait and see.

Wanting - Haircut my hair is way too long it is starting to irritate me.

FIRST GAME

I am tethering my Internet connection over wi-fi using my i-phone 3g , as they never took the payment when they should of and i never knew , i drew the rest of my money out think all was paid until the connection went down was the first i knew the broad band provider had not been paid  , even though i phoned them up to change the direct debit day to the first of every month they never mentioned the fact that i had missed a payment Wankers.

It  is dull , cold and cloudy the sun is on strike i think for at least the rest of the weekend ,  i am back to work Monday for two weeks then i have a two week annual leave booked  , and while i am off  it is the Tour De France , i won't be competing for the King of the mountains i would be lucky to walk to the summit never mind cycle.

Dropped a fathers day card off at Helen's parents house then paid enough money in to Helen's bank account to pay for the broad band connection by the time we got home it had been reconnected

Helen had a reading tonight just one i went round Digley reservoir with Pip and Charlie and his dog Mollie we stopped off for a pint of cider.

For tea well this was at half past ten in the evening , we had oven baked Mediterranean chicken rice and fries whilst we watched England's opening game in the Amazon jungle of Brazil the world cup against Italy , reckon the heat will not suit England and we might struggle as the game goes on .

GOOD IN THE HOOD

Friday
Yesterday we went over to Leeds Helen had three evening readings to do in the wrong part of Bramley , but  you can't judge a book by its cover and not all who live there are bad decent people do reside next to scum and  you can't always pick where you want to live if you can it's a big plus in life.

We  got to Leeds way too early  by at least two hours , so I called in to see my Nephew Mark as he always does he puts the kettle on as soon as he sees you and offered us chocolate cheers nephew , I adore and love his house it's just so cool spacious and Victorian along with his great garden and adjoining coach house . I reckon anyone would be happy living there and  I always enjoy time there , as well as seeing him too as he is happy spirit .

I dropped Helen off at her reading address and it looked bad a group of young adults where on the grass verge and in cars loitering about but it's there street and no idiot shits on their own front yard well that was my logic , but pond life is as pond life is so who knows anyway I went to the house with Helen and saw her inside all is good in the hood , I drove to my Sisters house to see  if she was in the hood too she was.

I worked with a man called Stan years ago and his son Mick it was a building company , i have not seen either for well over thirty years plus. We went to visit as they both as live at the same address Stan is in a static caravan and his son lives in a really nice house they have electric gates at the drive and sloping lawns and old fashioned gas type lighting by the look the real McCoy not the replica type he also had a white sports range rover we had a beer and chatted for a good half hour , Stan is 81 years old he is a real character and a great individual is son is too.

i picked Helen up i went in to the house the owner a male with tattoos all down his arms , like a extra from "Dusk till Dawn"  made me a coffee we watched tv he had a Yorkshire terrier and a white husky dog he also showed me his iguana it was three foot long it bit him on his palm and he bleed all over the laminate floor , he said the lizard was a vegetarian and did i want to hold it no way Jose i just wanted it back behind glass blood was still pooling on the floor it bit him again , he said it normally calmed down once it was around his neck , really i thought only way it be round my necks if it was a fucking tie. We left after half an Hour Helen had finished and had been paid and all was good in the hood.

THURSDAY OFF

After going weeks without a win or even months Helen won £25.00 on the lottery which when your skint is money to buy food with might we might get more fish rice and red peppers .

Helen had three people who booked readings whom then  did not appear ,  which was money that we thought we had coming and  in the end did not happen , she has three booked for tomorrow night  and one on Saturday .

Helen has had an offer from our solicitors for the road traffic accident that we was in March , and  it is an amount  which is no less than £2900 and no more than £3450 so it is not all doom and gloom.

Again for tea we are having stuffed red peppers this time with cheese and the fish is river cobbler with brown rice instead of basmati with a tomato basil and oregano sauce for desert we are having fresh fruit.

My son has got himself a new job fence erecting at the moment he is working in Newcastle i use to work away there before he was born .

COTTAGE LIVING

Six duckings where born on the pond directly at the back of our cottage out of the six that lived four have survived more than likely will make it all the way in to adult live i know they are only ducks even so its nice when nature comes out top .

Last night  i finished work and was home just after eleven i normally cook something to eat as i don't like a lot of foods reheated or nuked back to life in a microwave , Helen had cooked me the following stuffed red pepper fish in sauce and basmati rice , the rice was in a bag the fish was frozen with sauce already in the bag only the red pepper onion and mushrooms where fresh , it was the first time i have had a full pepper it was gorgeous. To be fair the  picture does not do the dish justice the cost of this food was roughly no more than £3.00.

You can just spot out cottage far left in the picture ours is one of the smallest spaces it is literally one up one down with the bedroom divided up into a separate bathroom , apparently years ago a family of five children lived in the house it is hard to imagine but at the end of the day you can get four berth Volkswagen camper vans just to put things in to perspective .

After today i have a whole four days off , i have drawn Italy in the world cup sweep stakes at work ,  i don't know which poor bastard drew England , the thing is Italy's first match is against England on this Saturday well moneys money come on Italy , can buy more red peppers.

Listening to - "The Lumineers".

Watching - "3 days to Kill"

Wanting - Warmer weather for the next few days .

Went to the fish shop for dinner and brought them back to the cottage so far that as been the highlight of our Saturday.
Helen did her first ever Skype reading yesterday the lady paid the money straight into her bank account and had her reading in the early evening , the reading was as good as if the person having the reading had been present.
The sun finally put in an appearance around six o clock it was hot until sunset better late than never.
bought some strawberries and pork chops for tea also put the lottery on i need a win six little numbers would be a godsend settle for five and the bonus some weeks be nice just to get three as most weeks we don't get one number.

Watching  4OD - George Clarkes Amazing Spaces until three in the morning .

Sunday
Did nothing boring i know but somedays its good to do nothing but chill.

Monday
Three days at work then four off.

TASTE OF FISH

My Daughter arrived back in England from her holiday jaunt to Mexico she had a great time she got stung by a jelly fish and suffered diarrhoea form some of the food she ate but she loved it she meet a girl from Hong Kong and who now lives in America with her American husband i think she said in Montana they have been invited over if they wish to go.
Her highlight of the holiday was swimming with dolphins which i think was on her bucket list of things to do , NOT SURE ABOUT THE KISSING BIT .

Me i be quite happy on the coast of Devon eating fish and chips and drinking a locally brewed pear cider with a scrumpy kick , whilst listening to the gulls and the sound of the waves one day soon fingers crossed .

two day off three days work then four days off then the start of july two weeks off sounds good to me.

A LIFE LESS ORDINARY

Wednesday half way through get today over and it is all down hill to the weekend.
It is raining again as long as it is fine for the weekend but it is looking doubtful thank god for the Internet .
Even if it was raining we wouldn't be going far but where we live its a few miles in any direction to find reservoirs rivers and streams and pine forest to explore and walk through there must be twenty plus reservoirs with in ten miles of home all we need is a pack up  juice and fruit and the sun with a slight breeze please, and a new hip .
At least i am not working until two in the morning and not getting home tip three which is a blessing .

Watching - One Man And His Campervan via You Tube , (picture above)

PEAKS AND DIPS

Monday's gone and Tuesday's here already ,  along with the rain at least the weekend was good .
We now have a new electric effect wood burning stove i quite like it to be honest for an electric fire its pretty cool or should i say hot , Helen is not impressed it does not put out enough heat , any ways what with the new shower and a new fire all is good .

Want this month to go and not drag and to start July the weather should be hotter and the Tour De France stage on the 6th of July is close to where we live and they will cycle up to the summit  of Holme Moss. So Holmfirth should be buzzing with camera crews and spectators and cyclists not sure if we will make it to the top of Holme Moss the only way i think we will do it is to walk it i have two weeks of work so might set of early with a pack up and see just how far we get , be up and down country lanes and there are pubs on the way.

DO IT IN A VAN

Saturday PART TWO

We did  go to Trafford centre i  bought a tin of chocolate chip cookies in a duck egg blue tin i bought Helen a journal with a padlock and a larger one for her appointments both from Paperchase ,

I also bought a tin of Bob Marley's vanilla Jamaican coffee called Marley's One Drop ,  it is pre made and is drunk ice cold from the fridge and to be honest it is really good it is  only £1.99 which  is refreshing considering what Costa and Starbucks charge it also helps others through a donation from the sale of every tin check out http://www.bobmarley1love.org

I bought it mainly because it was associated with Robert Nesta Marley i grew up with his music and Exodus was the first reggae album i ever  bought and it was on cassette tape i also remember hearing on the radio the news flash of his death from cancer it was a sad sad day and i was deeply shocked for weeks after for the loss of a great talent .

Bought two Lynx Peace shower gels and two Wella extra tough hold hair gels and one Golgate balck and white tooth brush and  new  ice blue Nivea shaving gel  along with two bottles of mouth wash hopefully will keep me going until next pay day hair gel last me months .

For tea we went to the local curry house for a take away the restaurant as gone down the pan i reckon they have change chefs and it is not as good .

Sunday
Went to a camper conversion company and talked to the fitter who happen to be part owner of the company if i buy a base van he will do the rest  and totally refit the whole of the interior will be carpeted new privacy windows fitted neon lighting system elector nice awnings cooker fridge and rock n n roll bed for around £12000 allowing for extras but you can get a cheaper conversion price is dependent to what standard and spec you want , although all the work he does is to a high standard check it out here  .http://www.skmotorhomes.co.uk.

Helen went out in her Suzuki Swift she was ok , a bike did over took her a few times by bike i do mean the pedal version and no the Tour De France had not hit Holmfith early and we had run in's  with sheep rabbits and sheep dog but on the whole she pulled through .

We went to the Fox House for Sunday dinner it was after eight o clock all they had left was beef i wasn't complaining all the veg was still hot including roast pots and mash we took some meat home for Pip .
