A FEW DAYS OFF

 SUNDAY - Helen's youngest son Liam took her out in Leeds for her Sunday dinner for a mothers day treat she was extremely happy usually mothers day is not a big deal for them its a Moon Pig or Fucky pigeon . So it was nice to see her get spoilt and it was a nice restaurant in the centre of Leeds on Greek street I dropped her of and Liam brought her home .the meal for two was  £150 plus cocktails also there was a drag act on which Helen filmed and he , was very good her . I went to Millies chicken shack and got four pieces it was only when I got home I realised they had not added fries to my order which ruined the experience some what still great chicken .

He let me drive his Audi A5 its automatic and is fast well compared to the Skoda its a rocket might get a automatic for my next car or will we all be drive electric price of petrol would make sense but then the government are now considering charging so much per mile regardless , we will never win . So glad the clocks went forward its the start of light nights and hopefully the hot weather we have been having stays longer 

MONDAY  -  Went out to Canon Hall fo breakfast its been a while it always nicer when someone else cooks what you eat we both had a full English Went to my daughters house we stayed a few hours and had fish and chips for tea from the local Wetherby whaler .

WEDNESDAY - Back to work and its snowing trouble is it aint laying so getting to work not an issue .Cant believe after all the sun we have had and hot days its snowing again .

Red hot chilli peppers have a new album out on the 1st of April which is good news . The year is flying by it will be Christmas before we know it .

BLINDS

 Although the weather has been great and i have been out each morning walking the dog I have been doing little else .

Work is work its a means to an end and it gets me out I like the drive to work I like the drive home even more .

Helen is giving up tobacco and bought a vape machine it solid metal made in Germany state of the art hopefully she will finally give up smoking for good .

Petrol went down by 5p a litre we are not or I am not that grateful we are still getting robbed some petrol stations have not even lowered their prices what a rip off .National insurance threshold up by 3k no great saving again not with everything else that is going up on a daily basis .

But I am not moaning life could be a lot worse we have it good if my wage was after everything paid out I was what I was left with I be extremely happy when you have income more than your out goings I wouldn't mind the cost of food , heating and petrol .

SATURDAY - Bought three blinds the sun coming through the bedroom window on a morning is hot as well as blinding bright so I bought three blinds two for the bedrooms and one for the living room easy enough to fit taking out the extra slats a bit of a pain but there all up and working .

REMINISCING

 We or at least I shouldn't take life or are way of life for granted I feel real sorrow for the people in Ukraine for all the homeless and displaced people that are there that are struggling each day just to survive to feed themselves and to stay warn I doubt normal life will ever return for a lot who continue to live there. 

Was going through some old photos its amazing what you remember doing when you start delving into old images you have took along the way .The homes , pets and cars that we have had and let go its a lot of possessions and artefacts that have been used and got rid off throughout the years not to mention places worked and old work friends you no longer see or keep in touch with .

Another amazing feat a massive gas pocket has been deleted under the North Sea am I being skeptic or what or is it just a massive coincidence its been found just as we need it hopefully we will all in the U.K get cheaper gas now I am being skeptic .

Coming up to pay rise month nothing has been mentioned cant wait to see how little we have got this year be happy with a increase the way petrol is increasing every time you go to fill up , if only .

SATURDAY -Went to M&S bough some pasta and curry dishes the sun was out it was 14.5 on the temperature gauge in the car .Started readings Elon Musk's biography and started watching breaking bad again forgot how good it was .Had a Budweiser beer had some in the car boot left over from Christmas still prefer my cider .

THE WHOLE WEEK OFF

 MONDAY - Lowered the bathroom wall unit by a massive 65 mm, but at least Helen can see herself in the mirrored doors .Took me only half an hour plus half an hour to empty all the toiletries  it get my tools step ladders , vacuum and to tidy  up everything  away once I had finished .

TUESDAY - Bought more paint going to do Helens office aka the second bedroom I the same cornflour white I started it in the afternoon there is a lot more stuff to move which took time I got the main two walls painted I will finish the other two walls tomorrow . Watched the Apple event live thought I would get to see the new Mac book Air didn't happen thought we would see the new iPhone 14 didn't happen was quite disappointed be different if had 4.5k to spend oh well more time to save up . Put up the feather lamps in our bedroom and Helens office .

WEDNESDAY - Finished the painting all walls done had two coats plus .Went to Ikea and Primemark at Sheffield bought some black photo poster frames various sizes for Helens office and a cushion cover for the sofa   .

THURSDAY - Went over to Helen parents painted their kitchen and one wall in their bedroom it was a dark blue get any paint on anything else was a twat to wipe clean got there in the end .

FRIDAY - Bought a load of cat and dog food then went to  Asda and bought a load of human food for Helen and I .a beef Massaman curry for my tea along with cider and coffee pods .

SATURDAY - Took helens parents shopping her father bought a cheap smart phone think it was the cheapest one they sell at least it was better than th one he had a old Nokia On the way home stop doff at Asda Helen bought two concrete plant holders .

SUNDAY - One small repair to do to the drug in the garden .Then its chill out time coffees Sunday dinner and X-box maybe but what ever its going to be a highly relaxing day .

CONCRETE LAMPS

 WEDNESDAY - The bedroom is one wall away from completion Helen finished the bathroom and it looks stunning she has done a brilliant job there is nothing like a freshly painted room it does lift the spirits .

THURSDAY - Back on the brush and roller the final section of bedroom wall is getting painted which is great news I break up this Friday for seven days means seven days no painting .

FRIDAY - Ordered two concrete lamps for the bedside cabinets we also ordered a feather lamp shade from Next .After tonight nine days off from work and yes I am well happy .

SUNDAY - Went to my Grandson Jenson 7th birthday the food was amazing they had the hot tub going and loads of his friends went I didn't stay too long had to go to Asda before it shut bought a chicken cooke dit with mash , peas , broccoli and sprouts .

WW3 WELL MAYBE

 MONDAY - Last day off I am back at work tomorrow  for four days then I have another full week \great holidays its a pity the wages are not as good .

TUESDAY - Painted our bedroom walls I have got two left to do the window wall and the tv wall then bedroom will be all redecorated apart from the ceiling which is fine the house is just over two years old  the two smaller walls are left will have to take the t.v off the wall and remember to take the hdmi leads out before lifting it off unlike last time I ripped the fucker from the back and it all came apart that was the lead for the cctv to be honest side we got the Ring door bell the cctv is a bit redundant anyone think of installing a cctv just get a Ring door bell for a fraction of the price just don't link the motion sensor to Alexa its annoying .

World war 2 was supposedly the war to end all wars I think world war 3 will be the war to end all wars because they will be fuck all left the planet it will devoid of all life , animal , and plants with toxic seas and polluted land nothing will grow and those who made it to the bunkers  will have to stay hidden for years then come out to what out to a world where its a total ruined desolate with no fresh water no crops no food sounds like hell .

Its been reported the Russian conscripts have been given food that is seven years out of date two Russian jets have been shot down and a attack helicopter as well as 6000 troops Russians killing Russians makes no sense .

DIY

SATURDAY - Went out and bought some dado rail I am going to panel the bed head wall out making three panels above and below with a centre rail seperating them  i will fix them to the wall using No More Nails and panel pins . Then i will paint the walls a cornflour white.

SUNDAY - At long last the rest of the corner sofa arrived it was a eight thirty a.m delivery .It feels weird and unjustified decorating and buying new things for our home when a lot of houses homes in the Ukraine are getting levelled and destroyed by missiles and bombs .

The sofa is assembled and in place its nice to have the corner sofa back in our living room not that I will have much time to use it over the next few days .

Took the old pine cabinets off the bathroom walls Helen painted the walls over the wall paper after it dried the paper had lifted so we ripped it off it all came off in one piece it took all of five minutes I repainted the walls .
