Both my daughter and son have their birthdays this week one is twenty one is eighteen .
i was thinking back to when i was around their age lager was 39p a pint cigs 55p a packet of 20 and petrol around the same price a gallon .
we had jobs and money to spend life seemed better, jeans where shrink fit which meant sitting a bath of cold water , our music was on cassette tapes sods law it was always your favorite tape that got chewed up , and we watched films on video and took instant photos in black and white with state of the art Polaroid camera no processing fees or waiting to see your latest pictures.Internet was just a dream.
Mobile phones were way off it was 2p in the local phone box to call home.i do wish i was eighteen again but living in my time not in this era , i think most kids have it way harder than it was for us , and the only thing better is the technology the rest as all gone pear shaped , what a pity.
MOVED BACK TO HOLMFIRTH , WE ARE OUT OF THE STATIC HOME , AND ARE NOW MOVED IN AND LIVING IN A NEWLY BUILT TWO BED STONE END TERRACE , WITH GEORGE AND BENTLEY OUR TWO CATS AND PIPPA AND BAILEY OUR TWO DOGS.THIS IS OUR FOREVER HOME I DOUBT THAT WE WILL EVER LEAVE THIS BEAUTIFUL HOUSE IN A GREAT LOCATION WE ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO LIVE HERE FOREVER.
