SICK

Saturday
Went for breakfast yet again  to the Toby carvery i or should i say we pigged out as always when we go .
, be rude not to.

Bought some new windscreen wipers for the Suzuki Swift the old ones made a noise and left smears the new ones  are quieter and clean the screen which makes driving easier for the same of twenty quid.
I also bought some Foster Grants  sunglasses for when i am driving as it was  sunny morning again ,  yet with in half an hour of buying them it started to rain and  i mean not just a shower but it pissed it down for most of the day fcuking typical.
Went to the Trafford centre Manchester and i bought a Indian head massager and a Multitool which was third of the price since my Leatherman  got ruined I have been wanting another multitool.Called into Selfridge's went to Pastisserie Valerie for a couple of cream cakes to take back home , they was selling a book about Manchester united football team which was signed by all the players the cost £8000 or £3000 for a unsigned copy .

Below a Jarre Areoskull for use with Apple iPod or phone etc not heard the quality but they look cool also on sale at Selfridge's for
£379.

Back home went to Hei Hei for Chinese food.

Sunday
Ill  feel crap all day had nothing to eat all day not even had any cups of coffee slept most of the day had to go out and buy new gravel for the fish tank which took an hour then we had to totally empty the tank and wash everything including rinsing the gravel , was so glad once it was done I was tempted to go back to bed.

DUMP THE BURGER.

Ebay shopping bought a iphone 5s in car charger unit for Helens phone also a book she wanted about Ian Brady.
I also bought a bluetooth wireless keyboard for my google Nexus 7 2nd gen.

Helen went to the hairdressers for her hair cutting and colouring i had a few hours to kill not much to do so i ended up going to the salon and sitting down until she was done.

Went to Burger King on the way home the restaurant had recently had been given a  re-fit it was still shite had a double burger with bacon and cheese with sweet chilli sauce fries and a coke we also got onion rings but the are not done in batter so was not impressed i had one , i was glad when it was eaten in my opinion once the fries go cold its time to end the meal and dump it.

Filled the car up to the top with unleaded should give us 380 miles before we are running on fumes it was double nectar points will nearly have £3.00 on it will continue adding to it until christmas and I vow o'Lord that from now on I will always get my petrol or dieselnwhen possible at filling stations  where i can use my Nectar card.

CAR SITTING

Got paid out for the water damage I-phone to the tune of £349 i went to the ATM machine to check my balance and the money was in my bank , thank you.
Helen had two readings today i was planing on walking down to the village which i did but as it started to rain i made my way back  home .

I took  refuge in our car parked opposite the cottage i had the keys with me .
I had thrown some old Stuff magazines in the recycling bin which i took out to re-read i also had the first two episodes of Banshee on my i-phone to watch ,  so bored i was not , just cold damp and hungry , Pip went to sleep on the back seat after i had wrapped her up in her blanket , i had to stay in the car for two hours oh well.

Dropped Helen off at a spiritualist church in Huddersfield her friend Erin meet her outside and will bring Helen home.

I went to Sainsbury's and bought some chicken kathi wraps ,  chicken samosas and a tandoori chicken curry for my tea along with 2 x 150g packets of Alta Rica coffee refill packs , 1 x 150 refill  coast less than a 100g jar so it is well worth it it's cheaper and you get more it's a no brainer, and of course Kopparberg pear cider and i also bought Pip our dog some cat food , don't ask.

Downloaded Escape plan and Dom Hemingway the later is a English film with Richard E Grant and looks exceptionally  good .

I might but the Ricoh camera i want either this week or next i can get it for less on Ebay or pay an extra twenty pounds and buy it from a well known camera outlet , anyway still not bored.

Today is also the first day of spring .

STILL NOT BORED

Life is boring without money everybody who works does not always have money when you can't go out and pay for a dinner so you have go to the supermarket for something to cook tea  it is not good should be able to go out and eat if we so wish or is that me being flippant? or me just wanting curried duck and noodles from our favourite Chinese restaurant in Uppermill Saddleworth named Hei-Hie.

Buy not going to work for three weeks this month i will have saved some money around £120 that it  it costs for the luxury of working.

Today as been wet and dull and grey well after all it is March , we went to the fish shop at lunch for a fish cake buttie with scraps , Helen had chip buttie then we went to the local Co-Op and bought some cookie mix and self raising flour to make scones until we got home and realised we had used all of the eggs so we just had to make a giant cookie which was not that great.

Still waiting for the payout for the I-phone might then get a Chinese i so crave .There is a Tattoo studio that i have discovered in Holmfirth Sw-Ink that i will have to check out sometime soon.

The picture below taken with my i-phone 4s , is of the pond at the back of the cottage one day last week it was mainly foggy early in the morning but by dinnertime it was sunny , decided we need more fog.

NO MONDAY BLUES

Went to the Docs i was waiting an extra forty minutes before i got seen ,  but it was worth the wait i was a given another sick note for two weeks.
I was hoping for a week but a fortnight is a bonus the Doctor  is also arranging physiotherapy for me but has also mentioned that at some stage i will more than likely need a hip replacement at some stage down the road of life.

Caught up on another few episodes of "Breaking Bad" nearly finished the forth series can't wait to watch the fifth season and the final episode .

I want to buy this compact camera i reckon its great value for money and should take decent enough photos and is pocket size plus its a great design is 16 megapixel and 15 optical zoom 20 scene modes and can record video in hd for under ninety pounds sterling.

Watching - "Lone Survivor" , Very moving film 10/10

BELT UP

Saturday.
Did nothing great a boring day really we went out in the afternoon for fish and chips and to put the lottery on which as always was a waste of time we manage to pick shite losing numbers yet again.

Did have some good news i am going to get paid out for the I-phone they was going to give me a iPhone 5s , the value at £549 as i want the cash they will knock the excess of and i will get £349 paid in to my account within five working days , which is better than i thought.

Sunday.
Got up earlier enough to make it to a Toby carver for breakfast its as much as you want on your plate really as you serve yourself its down to the individual plus as much tea or coffee you need to wash it all down , they had a freshly made potato onion and cheese bake which i had a mound of along with three sausages 3 rashers of  plenty of baked beans and hash browns and toast £11 for the both of us.

In the afternoon we had a catch up of watching "Breaking Bad" and watched another for episodes .

I was thinking about the Land rover Freelander i had before the Juke , it did not have a seat belt alarm you could get away without wearing a seat belt and i did a lot i was getting in to the habit of not wearing one , the Juke if you don't fastening the belt an alarms sounds which is irritating as a result you belt up .
The accident could have been so much worse if i was not secured by the seat belt , in one way i am glad i got rid of the Freelander ,

HAIRY TIMES

Contacted my insurance company regarding the water damage to Helen's iPhone 4s , it dropped from her jean pocket when she was pulling her jeans up after using the toilet they have agreed to pay out minus £200 excess , still i should get £200 so why not.
I had to get proof of purchase from my phone company Three , they emailed me the proof i needed i just had to forward it to my insurance company via email.
i should get the money paid early next week .

Took Helen's hair extensions out for her it me took around fifteen minutes ,  i used a pair of pliers to squeeze the metal clips opposite way to the way they was put in so they can be pulled out all went well , bikini line next.

Did the Euro lottery it stands at £107 million be fun spending some cash buying a new home for us if there was 107 wining tickets and i was one then  i wouldn't moan.
Freedom from not working free from debt to own a house outright would be heaven to us and to have a holiday would be a big bonus .

SUNNIER THAN YESTERDAY

They have ordered the bits and pieces that they need to fix and repair the Juke direct from Nissan I don't know at what cost but its a fair few pieces they need.
The rebuild Will take a fortnight to get the parts delivered to the U.K and at least a month to do the repair work so I guess it wont be until the end of April before its returned to me.

Today again as been very warm and really sunny one thing I need to get for these coming  summer months is a decent pair of shades , specially for when I am driving , I have sensitive eyes which seem to get more sensitive as I get older and I seem to be screwing my eyes up and squinting more more and more.

The sun as been out again today it started off very misty this morning but it came good in the afternoon.

Had a call from a solicitor no win no fee not sure how he got my number , still waiting to hear what is happening to my Juke.

SICKNOTE

Sunday
Not a cloud and in the sky its only March and its already feels like its a summers day .
There is a arts and crafts fair in the village centre would like to go walk down but we are stuck inside waiting for Helen's parents to have dinner then come over to us .
Crafts fair is going to be finished and it be a perfect day wasted fcuking typical .
They got here in the end they got lost I had to drive down to meet them.

My back is still feeling stiff and sitting down for  too long makes it worse and it feels worse on a morning when I have slept , i might need a few says off don't want to make it worse and have to take longer off .

Went out to the supermarket for cooking oil eggs mushrooms and tomatoes to go with breakfast I was getting spasms of pain in my lower back when pressing the brake and clutch pedals please I looked like I should have had a wheel chair in the boot when I got out of the car when I had parked up I looked like a puppet on a string .

Monday
Went to the Doctors got a sick note for a week I can't remember last time I had a sick note its over twenty years .
The weather is still nice its been sunny again today but it is cold early evening but it is only March.

SATURDAY VISITORS

Got up early again Helen still sore and stiff and is still aching and has been getting headaches on and off most of the day  .My is playing up and felt pain in my lower back it might be only  because I slept funny but its been aching all day and hurts slightly when I twist or turn I was sat down a while and I felt shooting pains When i stood up will see how it feels tomorrow .

Pip seems fine and back to normal we have  not took her out in our other car yet , whether she will go with no intrepidation we don't know , but it might be best to wait a few more days before we try.

Both my sisters called to visit us and we went to Holmfirth village liked around some shops I got pin number for my new debt card I went to the cash machine and altered it to my original pin number.

Helens driving instructor called round with a bunch of flowers and to see how Helen was.

Bought some chicken and duck kathi kebab pancake wraps , chicken tikka samosas for tea.

CAR UPDATE

Went to bed at four this morning didn't really sleep , phoned my line manager just to confirm what had happened and mainly so he knew that I wouldn't be attending work today .
I went out in Helen's Suzuki swift to visit "unit 1" where my car was taken after the accident  , mainly so i could to receive my belongings that i had  left in the car .

Last night after the collision  i retrieved Helen's iPad which had not been damage and the shopping i had bought on our journey home fresh quarter pound burgers and onions and a new packet of  twenty cigs and a bottle of Koppaberg pear .
i also took in the taxi with me my Ted Baker messenger bag with my iPod touch that i use for my job a moleskin and various power leads , ultra violet gel and uv torches , plus my id badge and swipe cards.
No sooner had i got my stuff out of the car this morning a Bench sweat shirt my tool box a bottle of unopened water two cartons of food for Pip  , the transporter wagon came to pick my car up and take it away i guess to access the damage and get quotes for repairs , it will be up to the insurance companies to argue who pays what. I was asked if i accepted responsibilities for the crash i said no way.

At Unit one I also manage to take photos of my car and the car that had hit us , after on the way home we stopped to photograph where came to rest after the collision , it is still hard to understand how we did not hit anything going across the road and down the road at the side of the building , i reversed the car up from the side of the building i had no idea if any other car was going to hit us at night it was pitch black.

My Nissan Juke passenger side damage showing air bags.

The car that hit us then hit the dry stone wall

The dry stone wall what has been demolished

We came to rest between the white building and stone wall

Helen is asleep in bed and no doubt will be suffering the next week or so no one was seriously injured but it could have been very different a foot either way and maybe i would not be writing this .

It has made me realise how much i love Helen and life with her compensates for more or less every thing else i trade everything i have to be with her , i need to show my love for her more than i sometimes do and to be more happy no matter what life throws at us as we are a team , we are united and we really are soul mates.

Pip our Jack Russell is very quite today she slept in her basket most of the day but is unhurt she too is important to us and we are both grateful we every looked after us last night also was looking after Pip too.

CAR CRASH

Driving home had Helen and pip our dog in car I indicated and pulled out to overtake a slower car when I was at its side it decided to throw a right and hit my car it impacted of my car and hit a stone wall where it came to a stop .
We ended up going down a dirt road with a factory wall to one side and a stone wall the other side how we did not hit either wall I not sure how both passenger and drivers air bags were deployed.

I called the police to report the incident and to get a ambulance for Helen she was getting chest pains , Pip always has a harness and seat belt on and travels in the back she was also in shock.

My Juke has been towed away the offside wheel arch , axle and alloy wheel and door is damaged .
I will go tomorrow and take photos and collect some stuff from the car .

I got a taxi home with Pip then took one back to the hospital to be with Helen , she was discharged but told to expect bruising aches and pains over the next few days.

Our guardian angels protectors were working overtime tonight .
My hip hurts back pain and back of my legs are also painful I have a slight stiff neck and headache , I have called in sick tomorrow I will see how I am over the weekend.

Everyone who helped us the police paramedics and hospital staff we thank you all and we appreciate all what you did for us.
I was breathalysed and passed as  I don't drink and drive it was not a issue and of course I knew why I was being breathalysed.

WEEK SO FAR

Yesterday that was on Monday was glorious the sun was hot the skies blue , and it felt like summer had come early and I had to go back to work.
I had to call into the bank and order a new debit card as  most of the ATM machines will not read it so its virtually useless if i need cash , it takes five to seven working days before I receive a replacement card .

Work was crap first day back  always is and getting back into the working  role is hard I did more than I thought I would , someone got rid of the fan its too warn we don't have air con no windows its stifling so ten o clock couldn't come quick enough.

The gas leak we reported is now being dealt with the road is being dug up outside our cottage and repairs are being made , its only a narrow road and some cars have had to be moved.
We have been given three electrical heaters whilst repairs are being made .

Work as been hectic all week so glad its Thursday two days on two days off the weekend is supposed to be hot warm and sunny i do hope so.

My new debit card as arrived this morning i will try it out not sure if its the same pin or i need for a new resending as its a replacement card i am guessing the pine remains the same .

Over the last week Helen as had half a dozen readings still not as good as when we where living in Leeds but it does seem to be picking up and more people are coming through recommendations which is always good.

The gas leek is fixed we are just waiting for the road to be reinstated and be good as new .

Watching - "The Walking Dead" and "Hannibal" season two.

Listening to  - "Imagine Dragons"

Reading - Jony Ive biography.

ART FOR ART SAKE

Christ i just got my salary paid in to my account and already three quarters of my wage is gone the cost of living is ridiculous , and I had extra money for the overtime that I worked in January every penny helps.

I did buy a Buddha that I did not have to buy , but I couldn't resist has he looks so serene sat praying hopefully he will say a few for us and bring us luck and happiness to our lives.

At the moment we are without any gas so we have no heating no hot water or any morning breakfast  fry ups , the other night we smelt gas as a result we called the emergency gas engineer and they felt it necessary to cap off the gas supply to our cottage . Went out and bought a smoke alarm and a carbon monoxide monitor screwed one to the ceiling and one we placed next to the fire.
The landlady we rent from is getting us a new gas fire fitted as ours is condemned.

Sunday
Went to Salts mill at Saltaire to see the David Hockney paintings there where around thirty paintings a lot of them were portraits and none that I would have bought it certainly was not his most renowned work , but at least I can cross it of my lust of places to visit.I really wanted to see his later work and his iPad paintings I did see a couple of documentaries about him via You Tube when I got home .

From there we went to Haworth which is Bronte country we got fish and chips and went to the house they had lived in and the church that there father was parson at .every time we go here it rains today was no exception.
After we bought Banksy mugs and matching coasters from a local craft shop Helen got the girl with the red ball on and I got tourist information.

To cap it of we had a power cut and had no electric for over a hour lost Internet and iPhone was on charge at the time bloody typical.
Back at work tomorrow oh shit.

TECH STUFF

Started reading the new biography about Jon Ives if you don't know who he is he is the genius behind the Apples design team he is also originally English .the book is written by Leander Kahney.

The new Coldplay song that is now out titled "midnight"  is excellent price of music  its different sound to other Coldplay songs but i like its a new direction .

A s well as Helix to stet to watch i am also wanting to start to watch Banshee , this is after I finally watch the remaining episodes of breaking bad .

Apparently we might be very getting some snow on its way either tomorrow or on Friday , i am back at work on Monday I do  hope that I don't get snowed in .

have added a plug in to my chrome browser on my Mac book as a result of this  i can now access the USA version of Netflix whilst in my cottage here in the U.K i did have to download Microsoft's silverlight which i did not want to do but i did none the less that  was after i download Hola but the end result being is that  i now can watch "The Walking Dead " other series and access loads more other films that are not available in Blighty at this time.

SECOND DAY OFF

Went back to the moors today it was very windy very cold and our noses wouldn't stop running after a couple of hours we went home , Helen went to bed she was up most of last night sat up in bed filming orbs on her iPhone  it was a right light show you can her me snoring well it was half two in the morning.

Thinking of buying a olloclip lens for my IPhone 4s been looking at different photography blogs of people just using their iPhone as there main camera specially if the new iPhone 6 has a better megapixel camera.

Also i need a bluetooth keyboard and case for my google Nexus 7 i got one a while ago but i made the mistake of getting it to fit the 1st generation not the second generation , the back of the case matches the existing back of the Nexus .

well second day off work another five days off before i return to work is hold be due a pay rise and a wage increment not sure what difference it will make to my wage packet each month hopefully a extra £100 would be nice .
For tea tonight we are having a gammon joint baked in a honey sauce with potato fries cooked in the air fryer with sea salt sprinkled on to them along with freshly made apple pie and custard for desert , a added bonus  i found a bottle of Kopparberg lurking in the back of the fridge bliss.

Watching - "Barefoot".

Listening to  - "Imagine Dragons".

FLOATER

Well first day off work and it is  a bright morning but with light rain and very little wind .I think it will get brighter as the day and  week goes on.
I think we will go to Hebden Bridge and also Saltaire to visit the David Hockney art gallery.

We went to Dovestone reservoir there was a police cordon there was a body in the water it was a man that had been found we later found out it was not suspicious we saw the body being put on a gurney and talking away by private ambulance .

ART

Saturday
Bought some chocolate chip muffins and a sparkling  bottled water and a Dc comic notepad because it was reduced and I AM  A BIG KID , we also bought some ready made Mexican chicken enchiladas a bottle of sour cream sauce and Guatemala sauce was going to get some green and red jalapenos but didn't settled for a bag of battered onion rings , which when cooked in the oven where exceptional nice so much better than the breaded version .
Late afternoon we decided to go to Sheffield and to  Meadow Hall mainly to look at cheaper smart phones we called in to the Three shop and told the assistant about the dilemma regarding the water damage iPhone and looked at a upgrade to a Apple i-phone 5s in gold  , he could give us a fifty pound off voucher so the early update fee in effect was knocked down to £127.and as we did not  have to pay anything in store it will appear on our next bill it was silly not to i was going to pay around £150 for another phone more than likely a Sony Xperia so it made sense to do it.

Once you have had a iPhone there is really no going back in my opinion .
So i got my iPhone 4s back i was as happy if not happier than Helen was getting her new phone but  when i am due a update i might  get the iPhone six , Helen is happy with her 5s if she prefers the six she will have a eighteen month wait. Even though i backed my phone up somehow i lost all my apps when i restored to my account including Flappy bird.
Went to Castle Gallery whilst we was in Meadow hall we always visit they have paintings by Ronnie Wood from the stones and bob Dylan they are now selling photos of Marilyn Monroe for six hundred ninety nine pounds each they was around eight photos in the collection i was given a A4 size book magazine   with all the photos in i was well chuffed it was a nice gift.

Below Bob Dylan's painting of a motel pool

Below Ronnie Woods paintings of his band the Rollin Stones.

Marilyn Monroe at Monica beach i was told this was a few weeks before she died .

Sunday
chill out day we did visit Staples Helen bought a blank diary insert for her Arc folder , you have to write your own days and dates on the pages.

I  downloaded Marilyn Monroe book "Life in pictures" to read on my Nexus Google , for tea come dinner Helen cooked a mince steak potato and onion pie with Yorkshire puddings and mash , and i made butterscotch Angel delight for desert , Angel delight as been around since i was a child just add milk , whisk put in bowls and into the fridge .

We have first three episodes of Helix to watch to see if we like the series and the Films "Barefoot" , "Twelve years a slave" and "Jamesy Boy".

DEAD TIRED

Last day working nine days chillin roll on two am Saturday morning I am tired I just want home time to come quickly its only half a day out of my life .
Its been over a week that I have had no phone this is the longest period that I have not had a mobile in the last nine years , I took my Nexus tablet but with no Internet connection it is a poor substitute .

Downloaded a few films albums and books I am not reading enough ,  I can't seem to finish books anymore i get half through and don't go back to them.

Helen has had three readings  over the last week and everyone that comes are  recommending her to their friends its slower than Leeds but it is picking up.

The last few days its been sunny on a morning but cold and windy hopefully next week its fine so we can get out .

Helped the portering supervisor put a body back into the mortuary fridge early this morning . The lady had died in resus and her family had wanted to view her body , so she was put into the chapel then returned to the cold after they had left .
, she was born in 1931 you always think about what type of life the deceased person  had , there was around another  twenty bodies waiting to go for burial , stacked up in fridges that hold a stack of  four bodies ,  makes you appreciate life and makes  want to get out there and  do new stuff and experience life fully and hopefully not to waste a minute . I so wish I could travel more go to different continents ,  explore and log each day by diary ,blog and blog that be an experience .

DISCONNECTED

Monday
Doing my first two while two shift at work at least next Monday i will be off for a week nine days in total .
Cooked myself a full English without mushrooms beans or black pudding still it filled a gap
Need to catch up on Breaking bad series as we still have seasons four and five still to watch . I also need to sort out a new phone i guess either a brand new Nokia Lumia or a Sony  Xperia or a second hand iPhone 4s.

Tuesday.
Knackered and tired roll on Friday or Saturday morning , and not having a phone is not helping it is like being unplugged from the Matrix not gone down the rabbit hole for n the outside of the toy shop looking in, even a cheap smart  phone is better than no phone at all.
My thumb and fingers needs to tap and swipe and face book needs updating i can't surf the web listen to music or  take photos its not just a phone anymore its a life line and  if I have to take notes its a paper and pen how daft is that . Roll on payday

WORKED UP

Was up at six a.m to go to work after about five hours sleep working until have seven tonight doing exactly the same tomorrow too.
Saturday and  Sunday worked so  another weekend wasted.
Still missing my phone suffering bad withdrawal symptoms i can't believe how boring days are I am really lost the worst thing is it might have to last another two weeks without a phone.
Worst thing is next week when I am doing two till two is going to drag and drag , we don't even have wi- fi that  i can hook up to , if there was could take my Nexus 7 in and be happy.
Six days to go then nine days off .
Finished work went to the Fix house for Sunday lunch I had roast pork with potatoes and leeks .

NO ANSWER

Gave Helen my iPhone I restored it to its factory settings then hooked it up to her Mac book iTunes and restored it using her settings .
Its weird not having a phone means i can't check Facebook i have had no missed calls And  no messages to reply to , had no Internet on the go nothing its a big void specially when being away at work not being a phone call away is a strange concept as for the last three and a half  years I have had a iPhone with me day in day out .
In away its a sort freedom but its also putting me in solitary confinement.

DILEMMA

All the ice went so I got to work just fine ,tonight it was the high winds that was coursing concern .
Helena I-phone is still dead it will cost £147 for a early upgrade which is not due for another seven months .
She can get a I-phone 5s for £46 a month with 2000 minutes 2000 texts and free calls to same network plus all you can eat data .
When we are due a upgrade IPhone 6 will be released that's Helen's dilemma should she wait just get a cheap phone to put her on or get the 5s.
Need to go book my driving awareness course very soon.

SNOW N ICE

Well the snow as truly arrived on the moors we had to turn around and head back home , the Nissan is not that good in the snow , in fact its utter crap I should have kept the Freelander 4×4 , it is the ice that's the stumbling block when your wheels spin and you are sliding sidewards and back words at the same time and  your just waiting for the sound of crunching metal you know your pissing in the wind ,so to say , you have to park up and walk lucky enough I was only 50 yards from the cottage .

A nice lamb Rogan Josh with chips rice and nan breads a bottle of pear cider and who gives a monkey what its doing outside , not I.

Helen,s i-phone 4s ended up in the dogs water bowl not Looking good at the moment its in a Tupperware tub on a bed of rice on top of the fire hoping and praying that it drys out only  time will tell if it wasn't for bad luck , we would not have any .

If the ice does not melt it is going to mean that I can't drive the car and if I can't drive the car then  I can't go to work , not sure how I stand about working the weekend if I miss a day through the week another dilemma why is life so difficult and trying roll on summer hose pipe pans dried out reservoirs and prickly heat be a breeze.

IN A FlAP

Trying to get my head around the fact that I will be working 12 days without a day off I might feel better when I am on day eleven I have half of them to do in twelve hour shifts two in the afternoon until two in the morning.
I will need coffee and chocolate my Nexus and phone to keep me on the go and in the loop not round the bend its going to crack me up , roll on payday , when hopefully it will have been worth while.
Another option would to be to sell my iPhone with Flappy Bird on EBay for £50 thousand if only , anyone interested let us know if only.

MORE RAIN

Have been excepted for the speed awareness course so it will at least save me three points on my licence which as got to be a major plus it will keep me at zero points which makes sense in doing the days course.

Its been raining all night and the rain still comes down its grey and cold and windy every year we seem to get more floods and more loss of land houses and lives , why can't the name the rivers deeper and wider or have more reservoirs , at the moment places and villages down south are one big lake.

Took Pip out we both  got soaked , once at  home decided to have a chill out day after we had been shopping for breakfast we bought  hash browns 15 eggs and two packets of  bacon skinless pork sausages and tomatoes on the vine six large tins of  baked beans i also got 12  pitta breads 6 battered fish , Mexican burgers and cheese along with Swedish meat balls and frozen chips that's the diet sorted out until payday .

Flappy Bird on iPhone  i have  now reached 24  as they say what practice makes.

DRIP

We have a leaky cottage , when we woke up  there was Rain water dripping from the roof at the rear of the cottage , you can step straight on the roof from the grass bank at the back .
There was a lot of leaves and debris around the roof window which is now cleared so hopefully the water wont back up and can now run away freely.

Below home made freshly baked scones made by Helen , serve up with clotted cream and strawberry jam and a freshly made coffee for a cream tea.

Work tomorrow then three days off then one day at work weekend off.

DONE DUSTED

Put parallels desktop nine on Helen's Mac book pro and then installed  Microsoft's windows operating system seven on to it.So  now she can use either mavericks or windows yet she can still access finder and import files into her windows explorer its a great compromise she was on about selling her Mac book and buying a windows laptop she would have lost a load of money and ended up with a laptop that is nowhere as good.

The rain came down today it started of sunny then got worse by the afternoon it was torrential we went  out to get some groceries got the ingredients for a curry we had tea and watched Braveheart Saturday done and dusted

FRIST SNOWS

Well the years first snow as arrived today the temperature as dropped and there is a smidgen of the white stuff , its not loads and we don't need a snow plough just yet but I reckon it will come back with a vengeance.

It will be the first winter I won't be driving a 4x4 whether that will make a difference i will have to wait and see,as the roads up here  are so steep bendy and bloody narrow , before we get anywhere near and  on to the main road.

Guess I should start to carry a shovel and a bag of salt grit , a sleeping bag a drink and loads of mars bars just in case.

ROLL ON NEXT WEEK

Really worried about losing my driving license . if I did I would loose my job .
I would not be able to get home from work it would  be my worse nightmare , I would end up on benefits ,plus in debt as I would owe a lot of money for breaking the car lease fcuking cameras it ain't cricket. The camera below does not even flasy does not use film and is being tested if approved by the home office will be installed through out the U.K.

Woke up to a frost the fields are whitened over the earth frozen the cars need de-icing its the whitest yet.

I got my new uniform from work was given four shirts why not five am not sure , short sleeves with  thin blue and white stripes  17.5 inch collar  without a breast pocket , and four pairs of black trousers 34 inch waste which are way off the mark. They're are not so much tight as they won't fasten they won't even come close , even though the black denims I wear for work are a 34 inch waste , who,s made the trousers Superdry? , Part of the uniform was missing a clip on tie thank God its too warm even in winter .

Next week I have three days off Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursday if the weather is OK will go round Dovestone get up early and spend a good few hours walking , that's walking without rushing might take a flask of coffee and some sandwiches.

End of the month is my Sons 21st Birthday would like to get him something he keep forever that he would look at and I always be with him thing , like the crystal skull head vodka bottle he bought me at Christmas , its also my daughters twenty third birthday a couple of days before his they was nearly born on the same day two years apart , if he had been induced it would of been so but the midwifes decided to leave it a couple of days and let nature take its course.

Sunday, January 19, 2014

I was doing 48 mph on a 40 mph road for the first offense. Will have to slow down if I loose my license I can't possibly get to work I would have to move back to Leeds .Not a great start to the new year be it my own fault.

Sunday

CHANGES

Well its Wednesday half way through the week life is average work eat sleep , work eat sleep guess it is the same for a lot of people out there too.
What makes life more interesting , i ask the question what does everybody do when your on a limited budget , when its cold and wet when going out is not option.
I wanted 2014 to be different new ideas new interests if you always do what you have always done then nothing changes the result stays the same.Million dollar question is what changes are going to happen this year.

WE'RE NOT ALONE

Well got the overtime I wanted after numerous phone calls and emails I got my wish.

We will have been in the cottage six month at the end of January.
And we have made friends with the four couples on our small street Sam and Mick , Jonathan and Ellie , Beth and Charlie and Roger and Jo .

Pips best friend is a sheep dog that is more white than black and for the last few mornings they have been chasing easy other across the field at the back of our row of cottages.

In February the frogs come they have to make it to the small lake at  the back a lot get killed in their quest.

The ariel should be getting fixed in the next few days quite a few have blown down we are not alone , the engineer won't need any scaffolding or ladders as we are dug into an embankment you can step straight on to the roof from the back field.

Nearly completed season two of "Breaking Bad" I am still watching episodes I have seen so Helen can watch them.
Have started my pen writing diary its not as full as I expected but its a start.
Helen has four readings today which is a hood start for the new year which hopefully will continue.

HIGH WINDS

The pole the sky dish was mounted on to , snapped in half during a storm and high winds ,as a result  the dish ended up on the roof therefore no signal , and as we don't subscribe to Sky they of course won't fix it.
Making do with Netflix and catch up TV , using Apple TV and the  ps3.

Trying to bag some overtime at work hoping to get two four hours shifts next week its like begging for scraps hopefully I will get a result.
I said I would always try and cover the cost of the lease on the car by working over and its not happened mainly because I have not approached my managers and line managers for any.

WAS THE WEEKEND BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Saturday
Trade in day we swap cars and get the Suzuki Swift it took only thirty minutes before we was driving away in our little beast it is metallic black with a very and black interior only thing I don't like is it does not have electric door mirrors but apart from that not bad.

How can Helen leave a three hundred pound pair of Ugg boots behind the seat in the Beetle that we traded in yesterday, and not realize until this morning . Because she is blonde or because her feet were cold and  wet perhaps all three.

Sunday
We are going to the Hospital for a echo scan this morning at ten so we can call in to the garage and hopefully retrieve them.
Seeing Helen's heart beating and  plusating on the echo scan monitor was unbelievable seeing the valves opening and close was amazing it looked so delicate,  how it continues to work every second and in some cases for well
over a hundred years is truly remarkable and scary because it is so finally engineered.

We called in the Suzuki dealership to retrieve the boots the car keys for the Beetle  were looked in the valeting Section of the garage which the showroom staff did not have the keys we need to call back Monday.

We drove over to Penistone for a breakfast at a little cafe and fish shop it was after twelve.
In the afternoon we bought some presents and Christmas cards we went to Dobcross to see the lights after we had a Chinese meal noodles duck curry crispy pork in honey and lemon and of course the sweet corn and chicken soup which is one of the finest I have tasted

MAD FRIDAY

Break up today for a full nine days heaven . I can not wait for tonight's shift to end and the drive home for Christmas sound like Chris Rea don't I.

STAY OR GO

I have a interview today for a bench hand joiner working for a display and design company based in Elland which is closer to where I live, the hours would be eight until half past four the money is slightly better too.Only thing is they have just won a contract from the phone company O2 which last they said for two years which could be for eighteen months or even twelve months so then what happens they would I am pretty sure be ruthless and lay people off , I don't want to be jobless and be signing on .

The interview went well later the called me and asked if they could approach my employer for a reference I said yes , if I am offered a job I have a big decision to make stay or go if I go I am not even sure what happens with the car that I lease through work , then there is my pension and sick pay to think about and in another eighteen months i should be at the top of my pay scale if I stay were I am ,boring and mundane as it is.

Helen has her portable ECG machine taken of tomorrow on Sunday she has a echo scan and hopefully all is well .

SWIFT WEEKEND

Swapped Helen's VW Beetle for a Suzuki swift in black that's has  got less than 25,000 miles on it . All we had to do was to pay £100 upfront and £125 road tax for the year .
It will have a full years M.O.T and will be totally valeted and serviced and will be ready to pick up next Saturday. We have lost money on the Beetle this car was £5495 but will be cheaper to insure and   be cheaper to tax and it will use less fuel.
We will both be driving black cars .

How can the Indian restaurant that delivered our curry tonight forget to include the pilau rice last time it was the poppadom's.
Got up this morning Helen cooked breakfast only to discover that we had  no baked beans , i ask can life get any worse than this .

Sunday
Went to Trafford center bought two bottles of Jimmy choo perfume and a bottle of Bobbi Brown foundation for Helen that is as i dont use it for Christmas and birthday presents .The lights and decorations where very good the brass band playing Christmas carols was atmospheric.
Cleaned both aquariums out washed the gravel totally changed the water and cleaned all the glass and cleaned the  filters and pads as well as the artificial plants and both heaters it was a  total start again as we had  green algae growing on the surfaces of the tanks and it was spreading we should look at getting some solution to add to the water to prevent this happening again.

After we went for Sunday carvery at the Fox house again .We was thinking about booking Christmas dinner but only sitting available was at 11.30 a.m way to early so we are going to cook our own dinner.

watching - The giant mechanical man .

THANK CRUNCHY

Friday comes around again and another week spent in a job that I don't want to do anymore , for me it is working in a place that i don't want to be and guess what everyone i work with feels the same .
I am sick and tired of paperwork for the sake of paperwork that is filed away and never looked at , and sick and tied of having my workload increased ,along with working in a office that has no windows so no natural light and no air con to boot and is way too warm and stuffy even in winter.

That is why i live in the country it is always changing it never stays the same it evolves and adapts just like nature and it evokes a sense of belonging and a sense of peace and tranquility i wish we had  open fire in our tiny cottage we could forage and burn  and a veranda to sit out on when it is getting dusk  and look at the stars  or dawn and look at the sunrise , i can't wait for spring and summer to have three weeks of annual leave and go walking.

Least we have Christmas to look forward to i can't wait not sure what plans we have not sure if we are staying in the cottage or will visit family and friends in the city not even sure what the weather will do .

Eating Jello's crunchy nut cornflakes with ice cold semi skimmed milk poured on top with a splash of double cream poured on heaven.

I want to buy a diary journal or note book like a moleskin to pen my days events and thoughts , i shall keep it up to date with daily thoughts and ideas what i have watched on dvd or t what i have spent what i have eaten etc will photograph the entries and post them on here.

Loaded the IPhone up with a changes of albums the Killers , and Keane's new albums and Nickleback along with the Manic street preachers and James Arthur to name but a few.

Got The world's End ,Wolverine and Man of steel to watch.
and Call  of duty and Killzone 2 for the Ps3 which is a brilliant game it just picking up weapons and killing the bad guys.

Bought Christmas edition of Stuff magazine to read.

STAY OR MOVE ON

So far the weather as been quite mild slightly wet with some sunshine , the cottage feels damp when walking on the downstairs carpets you can feel the dampness the sofa a chair feels cold and damp although there is no evidence of mold or mildew that  is not so true regarding the bathroom as the walls on  either side of the window which is set back a good 450 mm have pores growing if not cleaned away this is also slightly true about the bedroom window but to a lesser extent.

The heating is on and through the day and night the cottage is well ventilated , and when we have showers the windows are left open mainly because  we don't have a extraction fan fitted which is also true  when we cook as we don't have one over the cooker another thing missing that we don't have is a tumbler dryer for our washed clothes , and  would be a big plus to have a log burner wood stove as it would burn better and give out more heat which would then transfer upstairs easier.

The lease for the cottage will be up by the end of January , I would like to spend summer here as it will be totally different and would mean my first summer that I would have lived in the countryside in my life time as I have always been in the city.

IT WAS

Boring boring boring highlight of the week was a KFC supper .
Playing Killzone 2 like it lots and watching Halo on Netflix apart from this sleeping working and eating have done little else.
I really need to get a life hopefully 2014 it will all come good going to do a twelve month plan and will see what comes of it.

HOWLING

The wind is here the trees are blowing relentless and the roof is rattling for all its worth Yorkshire slate is heavy yet the wind is still getting under them lifting and dropping them. , you don't need an alarm clock when its weather like this.

The electric lights are flickering on and off at times if there is a power cut our fish will die if its off too long.
At least the cooker is gas not wise to have everything electric,we certainly don't need the fridge it is as cold outside.I left some cans if pear cider they were as cold as if they had been took from the fridge.

You don't take too long having a shower we only have two small radiators and the bathroom has none so it is in and out ,there have been reports of snow not far from where we live but so far it has not appeared.

I have to drive to work I know sods law is you will always get to work its getting home at ten tonight if its snowed and laid be difficult at best.

MONITORED

At work even though I am off ,as I am  taking Helen to the out patients department to have a twenty four hour heart monitor fitted , we take it back nine o clock the following day , so rather then going backwards and forward I have took two days leave.

Drove over to Rothwell and Called in to the Crown Hair Spa "2Rooms" hair salon where my daughter works she made us a coffee
After leaving my daughter  we went to "Skyliner" fish restaurant , I ordered a halibut it took twenty minutes to cook and it was way too small I was still hungry  after I finished eating not good.

Bought of EBay two ps3 games Killzone and Call of duty black ops ,  I also bought a Bluetooth keyboard for my Nexus 7,sounds stupid getting white finger with all the screen tapping I do.

ASHLEY

Updated Nexus 7 from Jellybean to KitKat Vlc crashed not impressed .
Helen drove her VW Beetle from the Huntsman pub to the roundabout past Dovestone reservoir about eight miles she even overtook a tractor its the furthest she has driven it ever.

We went to Ashley Jackson art gallery  in Holmfirth and bought this print he when asked signed the back of the frame in permanent marker pen for me .
The print is Old Bank Road the lane is below our cottage literally two minutes away.
I also bought a copy of his biography " A  Artist Life" which was signed with a little pen sketch to accompaniment his signature.

I also from Holmfirth market bought a bottle of scrumpy cider potent stuff  made by little Badger best served chilled we also bought some double cream and our first seasons mince pies

To finish the afternoon we went to the Fox House inn for Sunday dinner we had turkey.
In the evening we got out the Christmas tree and put up the Christmas decorations .

VIRTUAL REALITY

Bidding on four ps3 games "Sleeping Dogs" , "Killzone 2" " BioShock Infinite" and "Killzone 3.
Guess what I will be doing if we get snowed in, guess Viagra and pear cider might have been a better option but then reality kicked in better to be disappointed in a virtual world than the real one.

The weather and seasons are changing we have been told by nieghboughs the winter is a nightmare for cars and driving and if the local farmers don't show to snow plough the lanes and roads then forget about driving and going anywhere as you will not get that  far.

Nearly bought a fold up table and two chairs from Ikea for £200 but didn't did buy meatballs mash potato gravy and Lingon  berry sauce plus a dime bar cake which is a lot better value but means we stand to eat. Also got two sticky up battery neon lights for under our kitchen shelve and two new blankets for Pip our Jack Russell she will be all snugged up and warm.
Had a Chinese take away of course i got duck curry noodles fries chicken sweet corn soup gorgeous had a fifteen minute drive home as we was too late to dine in the restaurant so we got it to go and dashed to get home before it was cold  the smell of the food helped me .

GONE IN A FLASH

MONDAY -Two days at work then I have eight days off annual leave and I cant wait if Helen's Father was any worse I would be having thes...
